I love ordering from here my issue is the price went up. But we’re getting small portions I’d rather pay $30 for one plate of lamb chops and get a decent size lamb chops instead of these baby lollipop would barely meet on the bone lamb chops. So does buy one get one is not really a big deal you’re getting a bunch of sides, but you’re getting small portions of meat literally four of the lamb chops. Add up to one piece in my opinion. People will pay for convenience and people will pay for quality and this is more of a hope. You guys do better because I really love ordering from you guys. But bite-size lamb chops as what you should promote it as. There’s more meat on a chicken wing than these lamb chops

The brand is diminishing, and things I ordered in the past have not been consistent. The flavors are still good but the portions and quality of the food have been smaller and poorly prepared. Some of the people working at the Halsey location are unfriendly and ignore you. Hospitality is not their strong suit. My last experience has really bothered me.

I ordered through instacart restaurant orders. The oxtails taste okay but everything is just greasy. The asparagus was overcooked no flavor. The stir fry potatoes were not as I expected and they were swimming swim. This slimy white sauce not very appetizing. The lemonade was delicious. I do not recommend and probably will not order from them again unless I try to fish

STAY AWAY FROM HALSEY. I ordered from here and they gave me old burned meatloaf. It tasted off like maybe rancid. But I thought it was probably my own tastebuds so I asked my bf to try a piece and he said it was so nasty too. Im literally sick to my stomach right now. I’m never ordering from here again. The BSFF on Nostrand or Fulton are so much better. Their food is actually fresher, tastes better and won’t have you sick later. I thought I take a chance but NEVER AGAIN!!

I ordered through under eats and was not given all my food and was horrible now I love me some best style fish fries. I ordered from there all the time, but in person never ordered it or for Uber eats before in my life and I will never order. Uber eats again. There’s no way to get in contact with anyone about the missing food or about getting my money back and I was still charged over $50 for a no plate of food.

I must say the food was absolutely Horrible, they even take out the food with no care in the world just slamming your food down, got home and couldn’t even eat the sides because it was that tasteless. The only thing that saved the meal was the BBQ sauce on the chicken which made it okay to eat.This location has continuously went down hill in taste and service.This is shameful that this establishment is called a soul food joint and the food is ridiculously horrible. I Will never return. Best of luck to this restaurant.

The staff of this place is so incompetent and rude to all the customers. Ordered for pickup, got the message that it was ready and proceeded to wait for an hour! While observing the staff being rude to multiple customers and dragging their feet !

Ate here Friday night via Uber Eats ….. they gave my dirty collard greens and super sweet spoiled oxtail barely seasoned old turkey wings …. I spent $68 some pennies on food only for my entire house to have food poisoning…. I have it the worst especially since I ate the greens ….. it’s a real shame I want a refund …. I’ve had to go to the ER to get fluids ….. DONT EAT FROM THIS LOCATION …. There’s a huge possibility for you too to get food poisoning

I just went to this restaurant to pick up a delivery order, but at the same time there were like at least ten drivers waiting to pick up food. I don’t know what’s so special about this place that so many people like ordering from them. But if you’re not able to handle that many orders, then please don’t accept too much orders at the same time, or maybe you should hire more staff. Well I only had one order to pick up, while some other drivers had two or three. I waited at least 20 minutes, and my order still wasn’t ready. Also, the staff here are very rude. Don’t order from this place, because you’ll have to wait a very, very long time to get your order.

I would rather you do that than send me something I can’t eat and let uber process the return. It reflects poorly on your business. I’m going to leave this review and never order again. Because if I was to come in person I would never be treated as such.

Our order was stuck in ‘preparing’ for almost two hours, with several delivery drivers arriving only to report that the restaurant was super crowded and our food wasn’t ready. Eventually, after 5 delivery drivers cancelled, uber eats cancelled the order and we’re guessing the food was never prepared for the entire two hours that we waited. Definitely a disappointing experience.

Ordered with Uber Eats. There is never a time that I order the order is right. It’s extremely frustrating and the fact they never answer their phone is disappointing. Food is salty and bland. Do better. Love some soul food but this isn’t it.

Do not go to this location the service is horrible at this location they will just have you standing at the register waiting to order food for 20 mins an the store will be empty and still have you standing there for 20 mins …the owners needs to get his store in line

The food is disgusting. The worst food so nasty I was truly disappointed today…. This restaurant can never get my money again…. Peace and rice was trash, cabbage tasted horrible and hard. In my salad was a piece of plastic. I don’t recommend this restaurant!!!! Zero stars for me

Best fish fry on Halsey Street food was the worst I ever had. The collard greens did not taste right and when I chew the collard greens, I was chewing something hard and crunchy. The potato salad did not taste good. I had to put mayonnaise and relish and a little bit of onions in my potato salad at home. The fish taste like it was cooked in old oil and it repeated on me. It was not a good meal. The best meal that I have ever had from bedside fish fry was on Utica Avenue. They are the best they taste is the best. Their portion size was the best

I am so tired of this restaurant and its customers. People are always double parked outside or there’s a whole bunch of delivery guys on their bikes. Mind you, there is a bus stop right in front of the restaurant so it’s always blocked by cars or delivery drivers. The driver of the bus I was on today, had to keep honking until one of the customers came out to move their car so the bus could drive through. The food doesn’t even look all that good for it to be all these people waiting.

I ordered 100 pieces of chicken on Wednesday, 10/15 for a church event on Sunday,10/19. Food was supposed to be ready at 12PM. It was not ready until 1:10PM. The owner was unapologetic and nasty about their lateness. I will not use their service again. I like service with a smile.
