If you haven’t tried the wings at Blue Fin, you are *seriously* missing out. I’m not exaggerating when I say they’re the kind of wings you think about days later—the perfect blend of crunch, flavor, and that little bit of magic only Blue Fin seems to pull off. Each wing comes out, crisp, and impossibly light, with a seasoning that hits every note: savory, a touch smoky, and just enough salt to make the flavors pop without overpowering anything. Absolutely addictive. Whoever crafted that recipe deserves a medal. What really blew me away is how consistent they are. Every visit, every order—perfect. It’s the kind of appetizer that turns into the star of the meal, the thing everyone at the table keeps reaching for, and the one dish you can’t help but recommend to strangers. Bottom line: the wings at Blue Fin are legendary. Order them once and you’ll understand why people rave. They’re THAT good.
I walked into bleu fin on broadway Brooklyn NY an my god must I say the welcome was so warm and food and drinks excellent. Definitely returning for another meal might even have my birthday party there on October 27,2025 if you want good food and Great vibes meet me there #ThisPlaceIsAWonderfulTime
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. It was a nice vibe and the music was great also. The chef by the name of Christopher Chin came out introduced himself. I asked that he surprise me and make whatever was his favorite dish to make. He absolutely surpassed my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious. He makes a fried rice from scratch that is the most flavorful rice I’ve ever had. Let’s just say if Chef Christopher isn’t there I don’t want it. I love this restaurant and will be returning especially for Chef Christopher food.
Bleu Fin is a true gem for anyone craving authentic Guyanese cuisine. From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. I started with the Oxtail Egg Rolls, which were absolutely divine. The oxtail was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the crispy egg roll wrapper provided the perfect contrast. They were a delicious and unique twist on a classic appetizer. Next, I tried the Calamari, and it was some of the best I've had. Perfectly cooked, it wasn't rubbery at all, and the accompanying dipping sauce had a nice kick. To quench my thirst, I ordered the Blue Mojito. It was refreshing and beautifully presented, with a vibrant blue hue and the perfect balance of mint, lime, and rum. The service was also top-notch – friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Overall, Bleu Fin offers a fantastic dining experience with delicious food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend it and can't wait to go back!
Had my hesitation as I’ve ordered here before and the food was ok. My sister and I decided to take our mother out to lunch/brunch here and they didn’t disappoint this time. Our waiter was friendly and pleasant. The food didn’t take long to come out. I ordered the coquito French toast with chicken and it was divine🤤 The chicken was definitely fried Guyanese style which was well seasoned and flavorful accompanied by fresh fruits. The shark and plantain were also great and the curry was on the spicy side which was also nice. Overall a 9/10 experience. 🇬🇾🇬🇾🇬🇾
We stumbled upon Bleu Fin and were instantly captivated. Welcomed warmly by the gracious hosts, we enjoyed great conversation with the owner and her daughter. The atmosphere was down-to-earth and inviting. Starting with Banks beer and transitioning to delicious cocktails, we savored a flavorful fish curry with roti (though a bit small - order two!). Supporting a Guyanese-owned business, especially one run so well, was truly fulfilling. I left wanting to see more of our community thrive like this. A definite return is in the cards. Typing this review, I realize I may have left a piece of my heart at Bleu Fin." Where that laptop was being used.
My girlfriend and I went there for dinner. We had a wonderful time. The GT Curry with Prawns and Roti (has to be the best Roti in Brooklyn right now) is a revelation. The Cajun Salmon and Prawns Rasta Pasta was awesome although I think that I ended up with most of my girlfriends prawns in my curry (snafu in the kitchen perhaps). Beyond that the drinks were great and the vibe was fun. We'll definitely be back.
Excited to write this review as I had the Bleu Fin on my saved list for some time now. Decided to co for the last day of restaurant week and it did not DISAPPOINT! I had the fish bowl, crab cakes, and lobster rasta pasta. My friend had the seafood linguine and a Dusse cocktail. Drinks, food, atmosphere was all above our expectations. DEFINITELY A 10/10!!! Can't wait to visit for happy hour 🤗
I have mixed feelings for this place. 1st time was great, had good food, drinks, and musics. 2nd time food ok. 3rd time we went no one came to our table so we left for some place else. Anyway, ask for their Blue LI not on the menu but strong and delicious. Their rhum punch had a ginger taste in it, not a fan. I do like their raw oyster and fish and chips. The shrimp taco was ok. They have inside and outside seating. They have $1 oyster happy hour but not for drinks.
Okay, this place is a cute small spot that plays great music but that's all that's good about this place. For starters, there drinks was watered down. The waiter didn't even introduce herself, she just came and said what would you like. 😒. It was only 2 of us and only 1 appetizer came and that took literally 45 mins and my friend entree came before the appetizer ( which by the way didn't show up until after we was ready to leave, smh. I have to warn everyone the LOBSTER MAC N CHEESE pure nastiness and it's MAD EXPENSIVE for something you can't eat, nah man. Hire a new chef ASAP. The fried shrimp brought up my friend blood pressure with all that damn salt. I really wanted to like the food but I'm disappointed for real. For 2 people our food came up to $147.00 That was for only 2 nasty appetizer 2 entree and 2 watered down drinks. Not worth it at all. Take my word for it. But, if not go check it out for yourself then come back to this review n tell me I was right plz.
It’s nice inside, they had good music playing. The staff was friendly. It took extremely long to get our food, to the point where we were ready to leave and just pay for the drinks. When the food did come out two were room temp, one was warm, and the final was hot. It seems like the dishes were made one at a time and put to the side until all four were complete (?). Also the dishes with lobster seem to use langostino tails, not regular lobster. Just something to be aware of if you have a preference. I would’ve chosen shrimp instead had I known.
So I was very skeptical of when it comes to trying here because of the reviews. However, because it was Guyanese owned and with my friend and BF telling me to experience it for myself I decided to go. My BF anc I went at 4:32pm. They had no frozen drinks on top of the drinks they did have were expensive. I decided to stick with the water. Then we wanted the oxtail egg roll or whatever it was called. They didn't have that. We end up getting wings and that took some time. However it was okay and fresh. We also wanted guava flavor for the wings they didn't have that. I order shrimp, lobster pasta. My shrimp had three pieces that was kind of tough. My BF got the salmon rasta pasta. However they didn't have the rasta pasta so give him another pasta. It was irritating that most of the things they didn't have. Then it wasn't even busy for it to take long for food. There is also gratituty added automically. My bf did enjoy his salmon however he said the portion was small and he was hungry not long later. They gotta do better. The place need improvement. From the bathroom that didn't have soap to the lamp thing on the table that my BF pointed out was dirty. On top of this the owner and a server sat not to far from us (in the dinning area) eating. Totally unprofessional they must think is back home they at. I've never seen that in ant restaurants I've been to. If you need a break step out of customers view. My BF notice the server was eating the same exact meal as me. He jokily said she's probably eating from what they made me. I wouldn't be surprised because of how small the portion was.
Came for brunch last Saturday. Seating is limited. Place is decorated nice and staff is nice. Didn’t take too long for someone to come and take our order. The issue is the wait time. The place seems like it’s family owned which is great but they definitely need a bit more help. My drinks took over 20 minutes to come. I didn’t like the guava they used In the mimosa and all the flavor basically sank to the bottom. When you took a sip all you got was warm flavoring. Had to keep stirring to mix everything together. Honestly wasn’t too crazy about the drinks. My friend wanted her drinks on the wire stand so they had to wait till another table finished using theirs so she can have one for her drinks. Her drinks didn’t come out till after she was almost done with her food, which took a long time in itself. When she did get the drinks, it tasted as though she got vodka instead of the champagne for her mimosa…which she didn’t mind much. We were starving by time the food came. My salmon burger was tasty. The fries needed some salt, which I asked for, and was a bit greasy. My food came out way before my friend because after waiting over 30 minutes for her chicken and pina colada waffles, they told her that the waffle machine stopped working. So she had to get French toast which tasted like regular French toast with chicken. Guessing to make up for it they made her drink with vodka *shrugs*. Overall I feel like this place have potential but do need work when it comes to wait time for food and the staff shortage. Also more drink options for brunch, a good heavy duty waffle maker and letting the oil from the fries drip for a bit before platting. Then again I guess it was just the time we go there because the waitress was by herself and she did the best she could. Right before we left, two other people came and a few other tables filled up. Their food and drinks came out pretty quickly so I’m guessing the shortage earlier on was the problem.
Went there on an impromptu today first of all, there was no welcoming atmosphere at the proprietor or the manager sitting in the front along with another poly client or staff member when we finally ordered the french fries was soggy full of grease which I told the manager of the proprietor, and she deemed to take it off the bill I still ordered a drink that was full of sugar and no alcohol I was able to bring in my own alcohol in the facility and even adding my own alcohol to the drink it was not flavor bowl. It was like a juice that I bought from the corner store other than the muscles which was a 7.5 out of 10 because entirely too greasy all the grease set on top but the flavor was good but the grease is that on top so it’s a turn off so if you don’t ask for gloves which they do not provide Your hands are gonna be greasy and your mouth is gonna be full of garlic if I was to recommend I will not recommend The Cook is not someone who is I see is capable of completing the complete menu and it was too much of an a rush to exit the facility opposed to trying to appease the clients that were there and spending their money
The young man serving us was very nice. He tried to make us as happy and comfortable as possible. Constantly checked up on us. However, the food was extremely underwhelming. My prawns were extremely salty. They weren't edible at all. My fiancé's food wasnt that great either. His fried rice was very mid and was also close to being salty.
I would say no stars but I am feeling graceful. Mussels under seasoned and overcooked. Dirty wet plate given when I asked for a plate and cutlery . Waitress had no clue what was on the menu. This was taco Tuesday and not all the tacos were available. Calamari was dry and overcooked.. I waited 35 minutes for this disaster and we were the only table in the restaurant along with two other customers at the bar. Not to forget the chef’s family whom he had to visit on a regular basis. The bar person had to go to the store to purchase the ingredients for our drinks. The wings actually tasted good. $136.00 inc gratuity. I wanted to support my own people but I made a terrible mistake.
The location is beautiful the vibes is right but if been managed correctly it will be successful we came in and stood around for a seat only to find out I guess you can sit wherever anyway we asked about a pitcher because we was interested in it but instead we got I’ve attached the picture because the manager explained that the pitcher was 4 drinks anyway we proceeded to order food the pancakes which I attached was dry and tasteless the pepper pot that we ordered I failed to take a pic anyway it was a bowl of oil with bread we sent it back and ask for the oil to be removed and add some gravy they change the plate and returned it to our table. Not a great experience having music is not gonna keep the business afloat until you hire more staff and cater to customers it will never work. I watched multiple people walked out because they did not get any service
