This place does excellent delivery and has good prices, they check all the other boxes too. **Save 10% by ordering direct** They are the best in Clinton Hill for sure - maybe Fort Greene, but I don’t know what’s crackin by the Atlantic terminal.

YUM. Such a little gem on Myrtle. We had the spicy Titanic roll, spicy tuna sandwich roll, and the spicy garlic salmon roll. All were incredible. The green salad was also fresh and tasty. Our server was so sweet & attentive. Can't wait to come back :)

I had a great sashimi late night meal from Yamashiro last night Working the late night shift, my stomach started protesting around 9pm. One of my coworkers recommended Yamashiro and to my surprise they still delivered. The sashimi deluxe was exactly what I was craving for. Fresh, large, pieces of fish that smelled like the ocean and tasted like they swimmed to my plate. Totally loved it. 🍣

We went for the 19-piece omakase. The nigiri was prepared both classically as well as with more modern techniques/flavors like smoking with binchōtan charcoal, chili crisp, and shaved black truffle. The tasting included rarer pieces like ankimo but the focus was on tuna. They had just received a whole bluefin when we visited, and we got to try different cuts such as from the collar, belly, and closer to the tail. The chef explained that summer Atlantic bluefin tend to run smaller than winter catches, which makes it easier for them to buy the whole fish. We didn't get the chef's name, but he had previously worked at Masa and several other sushiyas in NYC and Miami. He's so clearly passionate about starting his own counter. It's a wonderful addition to the neighborhood that'll save us trips into Manhattan. Excited to see how the tasting changes throughout the year!

One of my absolute faves. Dine in, delivery, or take out, Yamashiro is the best! The spicy pepper is a must-try.

Food was great. Came out hot and the service was quick! Will definitely go back! I had the shrimp hibachi and it was great. Had plenty of sauce and shrimp.

I had a wonderful first experience at Yamashiro. A waiter arrived seconds after I was seated, and after I made my order the food arrived pretty quickly. Their menu has a lot of variety of food, and they are priced comparably cheaper to the other japanese restaurants around the neighborhood. I tried the salmon and avocado roll and chicken fried rice, both had a good portion size and were absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back here.

Did sushi for takeout. Salmon roll, crunchy shrimp roll, avocado tuna roll, salmon crunch roll were amazing. Nice workers, fast and flexible customer service. All the susbi was very fresh. Will be back.

This is easily the best omakase experience in NYC, the only warning is come hungry! 19 courses will have you stuffed to the brim! So happy I came here was worth every pennyx10000. Best omakase in NYC

Really well portioned and well presented sashimi - it was almost too pretty to eat! And came with a side of rice which was a nice touch as I was going to order some in anticipation. The quality of the sashimi went above my expectations, was fresh and cut in thick slices with a lot of variety of good kinds of fish. The bottom left white fish came a bit frozen though, and too cold for the teeth. It should be made room temperature before being served. At $23 and served with soups or salad beforehand, I would say it was a bargain! Really fast service. I was really impressed and will be back!

I had an amazing time at Yamashiro! Prices were fair, if not inexpensive, and the food was OUTSTANDING. On top of all that, service was great and fast, and the waitresses were very friendly. If you like sushi and you're in the neighborhood, I would definitely recommend you try Yamashiro!

I had an epic birthday dinner last night. My best friend took me there as a surprise. Chef was so amiable and the food excellent. Was so full and happy with the 19-course menu. I love the local laid back atmosphere. Will come back!

Wow! What a great expansion for Yamashiro - this side is new (4-weeks old as of posting this) and it might be one of the best omakase experiences in NYC. My friend and I did the 19-course meal for $108, and each course was a hit. Fresh, balanced, and well conceived. It was amazing to watching Chef Jimmy work and explain each dish. On one hand, I’m worried this place is going to blow up and become impossible to get into, but on the other, I’m not one to gate-keep and they deserve to be discovered! Thank you Kelly, Jay, and Chef Jimmy for such an amazing experience - can’t wait to come back!

The most delicious, mind blowing omakase I have ever been to. Jimmy was our chef, and he was so skilled with the knife and knowledgeable about such minute details. He was kind enough to explain each course to us down to the exact species of fish, the cut, the temperature, and how every ingredient is made complement the flavors! He apparently studied under a master for 5 years in Japan before coming here and WOW does it shine through in his work. Wait staff was also impeccable – she was so attentive to every need, and so quietly professional. You can tell both of them have such passion. My favorites in our 16 course was the soromoro appetizer, otoro seared by oak charcoal, kinmedai, and the uni; but the courses change based off the season and the fish purchased fresh. The price is very reasonable as well for the amazing quality we received. Very very much recommend.

Came where today for lunch and was really surprised at how good it was! Had the 3 roll lunch special for 11.75, it came with a. Soup or salad and didn’t disappoint what so ever. Had the calamari roll, spicy white tuna, and spicy salmon roll...all of which tasted very fresh! Left completely filled. Will definitely be back soon

Hate to give this review because I love the ability to make a last minute reservation and get in but this is one of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had. No frills- great service, insane culinary experience that leaves me in awe. This should be your new favorite omakase in the city!

First time order take out from the website. The transaction was smooth. Portions are good. The maki rolls are well-made: Rice to fish ratio is good. The sashmi is fresh. Will order again. Glad I finally tried the neighborhood spot.

Wonderful experience. For the price, the quality is excellent and it comes with your choice of a bottle of sake as well. Both the head chef and the owner were sweet, welcoming, and hospitable - the experience from start to finish was warm. Chef Jay was experienced, creative, meticulous, and talented; the dishes were curated with precision and care and were absolutely delicious. Can't wait to go back, would recommend 10/10

I have been to quite a few omakase and Yamashiro is by far the best experience that I had. The chef Jimmy studied in Japan for 5 years. I learned so much during the dinner regarding different fishes characteristics. They get the fish freshly from Japan. I learned to appreciate the difference in taste and texture of different salmons. The food is ridiculously good. The service is impeccable. My sake was filled quietly with every sip I took. I highly recommend the restaurant. Too bad I am from out of town, or else I would definitely be a regular there.

One of the best omakase’s in Brooklyn - every course is its own creative and unique experience of flavors singing in harmony! Not only is this the freshest fish and seafood, but the chef is so attentive to ensuring each bite is exquisite. I love the purism of just fish, but the subtle adjustments of adding some truffle here, caviar there, pickled yuzu, foie gras and wait for it…gold sparkles - just enhances the flavors of the fish. Not only is it incredible but the value is great. 12 courses for $88 or 19 courses for $108 with the most attentive service is such a deal. This place opened mid 2025 while next door is the restaurant from the same owners that have been around for 20 years. Definitely go check them out!

I've eaten here in person and done take out. When dining at the restaurant, the staff are always attentive and kind and the food is fresh and delicious. This was my first take-out experience, and the food was equally delicious. Ordering was super easy and it was ready quite quickly. I highly recommend Yamashiro.

Good prices and tasty lunch deals. However, quality can be inconsistent. Some items like tempuras are dripping with oil and look like they’re fried and kept in fridge then refried. Meat dishes are better but Katsu tend to have more batter than meat.

Food is great. Service, however, sucks. You will easily wait 10-15+ minutes after the quoted pickup time, you’ll be told “just a couple more minutes” for half an hour, and the whole process is excruciating. I don’t recommend ordering to pickup from this restaurant at all unless you want a headache.

Ordered delivery less than a mile away. Threw out everything because several rolls were rotten or rotting defrosted fish. Walked by today and saw “rats in the kitchen” written on the awning. Save your stomach!

What a terrible experience!!! Food was very ordinary and no ice brought to the table when requested several times. Warm water in a jug placed on the table instead. I explained what happened to the Manager and he still let me walk out unhappy AND kept the tip. The view is the only thing going for this dark and very dated restaurant.

I made a reservation over a month ago for omakase for my fiancée’s big birthday, and when we turned up, the chef was not there and omakase was not available. Huge fail! 👎🏻
