We stumbled upon this coffee shop while strolling around the neighborhood and can I just say it’s quickly become our new favorite spot. I ordered an iced latte and my boyfriend ordered a chai latte and a salted chocolate chip cookie. Both lattes were very rich in flavor and the cookie paired perfectly with the drinks. The place itself was very modern and sleek and overall a very cozy environment to unwind or get some work done! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for delicious drinks, tasty treats and a chill vibe.
Kudos!! to the new coffee shop in town! The matcha- mango is the best!! I can’t wait to try the other flavors:-)
MODERN COFFEE SHOP WITH GREAT PASTRIES 🥐 🥮 Stumbled upon this hidden storefront on 4th Avenue and it’s a great place for coffee ☕️ serving their own brand of African L’Insolent brand coffee beans. The Nutella loaf bread is ridiculously good … I was expecting it to taste dry but it was super flavorful and moist. Also, the freshly baked cheddar biscuits are indulgent and hits the spot - get them fresh in the morning! The space itself is posh, clean, and modern. Great WiFi connection too. Overall, great cafe for the neighborhood! Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Their almond Crossiant is heavenly. It’s actually now one of my favorite Crossiant of all time! They also have dog treats for our fluffy friend <3 Good soft music and the Matcha was decent.
Great little coffee shop by my laundromat. Call out for Ayana the barista (hope I spelled her name right?). She made me a really great latte. Applauding this barista as it was tasty, the milk had a good mouth feel, at a good temperature and the espresso was perfect. I know pulling a latte is an art and a science, cause I've tried it and failed horribly by making it too bitter and full of foam. I have great appreciation for someone who can do it well. Decor was cute and modern, good eye for details. Only thing that would have made it better would be to have pastries from Miloin bakery a few blocks away.
Great pastries, atmosphere, service! Beautifully decorated coffee shop. Most importantly great coffee! Give this small business a shot instead of the Big Coffee businesses!
Came here on New Year's Day with my wife and had probably the best cappuccino I've had in the city. Milk temperature was on point. The espresso was dialed. The hospitality was great. African coffee is the best coffee in the world.
The coffee here comes quickly and hits the spot!! The baked goods are unregretted sugary splurges that taste just as you imagined. None of the grungy feel of some “hip” spots. This is pure elegance meets gourmet.
I'm a bit of a European coffee snob, so being able to have that experience replicated in Brooklyn was incredible. L'Insolent coffee was equal to those I've had all over Europe, with delightful barista art, and a calming interior that was elegantly welcoming. The banana Nutella slice of bread was unhinged; one the most delicious things I've ever eaten. Get your butt out of the city and get to Brooklyn for one of the best cups of coffee. You will have. Bring your computer and stay a while!
I have looked all over the area for a nice place to grab some coffee, pastries and study and this place was the best one I've been to so far! I will definetly spending alot of time here from now on.
Great interior design. Feels very comfortable. Service was great and the Latte tasted amazing
Been here twice, the food and coffee are great.... The new staff is very helpful and attentive.... Great environment to be with family and friends... love their Ice mocha... Will be back for more.... 😀

My cortado was so delicious, I did not want it to end. Who ever made it this morning was so nice and knew what they were doing. She was polite and also offered my doggie a treat. The chocolate croissant was also very flaky and moist, not too dry. I will be going back!
Lovely coffee shop on 4th Ave just past the Prospect Ave stop. Fairly spacious seating, very clean and inviting, lovely staff, and the coffee is excellent. Appreciate the loyalty card that gives a free cup after 10. Have yet to try the pastries, but they look amazing. Appreciate the vegan milk options, and they seem to have at least one vegan pastry option as well. Definitely worth a stop whenever you’re in the area.
This is a nice little cafe. I usually stop here on the way to the train station for work for a coffee and a treat. My favorites are the vegan blueberry muffin, the plain croissant and the iced lattes! The iced beverages always have the right amount of ice, the espresso is rich and there are many syrup flavors to choose from. The service is always nice and the place has a soothing and chill environment!
Good coffee and friendly staff. Usually stop by on my way to the office for a nice latte. Enjoy their loyalty “punch” cup to redeem a free drink after certain amount of purchases.

The Nutella banana bread is the best pastry in the area! Lots of comfortable seating with outlets.

The coffee here is fantastic, strong, and the baristas are truly artisans dedicated to making amazing coffee. They are always so friendly and will make the coffee just as you like it. The atmosphere of the coffee shop is very minimalist and usually no one is sitting in there in the afternoon so it’s great if you want some quiet to work but not if you’re looking for a more social space.
Great latte, rich and strong. Word of advice - Lower the music volume, put something more mellow for people to sit down and work or read or chat or concentrate. Don’t blast music. Lighting can also be better. More warmer lights towards the inside of the store will make it better for reading. Otherwise it’s too dark for reading. Also, make sure the toilet is clean. Lastly, change the filter for the water. It tasted old and of chemical. Undrinkable. Make it a good comfortable place to sit and spend some time, and your customers will be out the door. Not just pickup and leave.

the worker behind the bar was very sweet and kind but that’s the beginning and end of what’s nice here. the space feels very manufactured and lifeless, the music is unnecessarily loud and just terrible, and everything has a veneer of middle-of-the road tastelessness. the coffee is quite subpar, very roasty with notes of ash and motor oil. ironic that a place so vapid is so close to neighbourhood staples and stalwarts roots cafe and south side. all in all i’m left wonder, what is the point of this space? it seems to add nothing to the nyc coffee landscape and if anything only serves as a point of comparison for what ~not~ to do with a coffee shop. save your time and visit one of the myriad more authentic cafes in the nabe.

Are they pricing themselves out? Yeah…maybe. I have to say, I want to love this place. I live a block and a half away and pass it on my way to the train every day. And. They charge extra for ice. And everything else. I just paid nearly $8 for an iced latte today. We have so many great coffee shops, I may have to stop popping in. Sad, bc the people behind the counter are great!
