I had the most seamless experience today at this hair store. Long story short I needed a new wig, but didn’t the time to wait for it to ship to me so I decided to try and get my frontal changed here, as I saw this place on my Instagram a few months back. I was very nervous as I had never done this before and didn’t know what to expect and let me just say my experience here exceeded My expectations .I was greeted when I walked in, picking out the hair was very easy as there was someone to help with length,texture, and color varieties available , It only took about 30 minutes for them to remove my old frontal and replace it with a new one I just purchased from them. They have someone to so you’re a full week, frontal, closure on the spot ! Also, the staff was very kind and very helpful. Not just to me but to every lady that came in to that store. I highly recommend . 10 out of 10 service and 10 out of 10 product. I will definitely be back.

Went there today (wasn’t my 1st time) this place is convenient, clean, welcoming and the prices are great. I love that they are informative even if you bring your own hair to make a wig. Even the stylist Stacy was educative when letting me know about my closure when bleaching it. Thank you for everything

Amazing experience! I called at 1pm. Arrived at around 3pm and wig was done before 5pm. Great service. Friendly staff. Will totally recommend and will be back soon.

I had a fantastic time here, and the team was so careful with my extensions. The turnaround time was super fast, and I was done in just a few hours. Selena is incredible! Plus, Stacy is really knowledgeable about taking care of your wig, so don't hesitate to ask her any questions.

I love getting my wigs done here. The employee's here are wonderful and respectful i am very pleased. I am not a wigs person, but making my Wigs here let me want more. And the price is so good

But baby, when she started, she was fast and efficient. She ensured she didn’t cut my weft and only cut a bit at the top so it could be flat. If you stay, you can try on the wig when they first put on the closure. Also, shout out to the stylist who made sure to answer everyone’s questions and provide guidance. If you need them to do the bleaching, plucking, etc. they can do that as well. Overall, a great experience. If you want to watch them make it, plan accordingly.

They will make the wig for you , however they don’t Measure your head accordingly for the frontal to fit your head. So basically there’s no real customization they just make a wig and ask you to fit a cap. I found this place because of Instagram. What a waste of time and money. Your wig is not made in 30 minutes. If they are unable to upsell you, then you are not a valued customer. Once you pay, they do not care. Had a wig made that looked a mess & didn’t fit on my head. Plus All of the tracks were showing. It didn’t fit and 40% of my hair was out and they tried to tell me it did. I was told I had too much hair and ended up needing a cap two sizes bigger so they had to redo my entire wig. They attempted have me come back another day because they close at 7. They were yelling at each other in another language. I’m convinced they only have five stars because they give you a store credit & discount if you write a review. On Instagram, they say how great it is how they measure your head how they walk you through how to choose your wig and your style, etc. That is all a LIE! The only positive experience I’ve had in the salon was with the Stylist Stacy. They don’t even deserve her.

I’ve been a loyal customer of New Star Hair since 2012, but unfortunately, my most recent experience was extremely disappointing and disheartening. I dropped off my wig for a closure replacement specifically a 6x6 closure with four 30-inch bundles. I was scheduled to pick it up the day after July 4th. Trusting the integrity of the business, I briefly checked the closure at pickup and took the wig home. However, when I went to have the wig installed, I realized it was only 22 inches long not the hair I originally dropped off. I immediately contacted the shop to inform them of the mistake. Despite my long history as a customer, I was met with disrespect, denial, and a complete lack of accountability. What’s most upsetting is that the wig I brought in was not returned to me, and I received a different, shorter wig in its place. The dismissive attitude from the staff was unacceptable, especially given the loyalty and trust I’ve extended to this business for over a decade. I expected better treatment, honesty, and professionalism from a company I’ve supported for so long.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Communication & Service I had a frustrating experience here due to poor service and miscommunication. I brought in two sets of hair—one for a bob and one for longer hair. I specifically instructed them to place the shorter tracks in the front for the longer wig and to create a leveled bob for the other. Instead, they made the wig with short pieces in the front and long pieces in between, resulting in a choppy, unblended look. When I pointed this out and asked for it to be fixed, they wanted to charge me $100—more than the original wig construction(which was $60)! Before handing it over, the front desk staff even admitted the hair didn’t look presentable but tried to blame me for it. They have customers' contact info but never reached out for clarification, which could have prevented the issue. On top of that, some of my claw clips went missing. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and communication was disappointing. However, the stylist who does wig installs and styling seemed friendly. Wouldn’t recommend based on my experience.

I went to this establishment to get a hair topper. I asked the woman do they measure your head. She said no and took measurements from a sample she made. I also purchased the hair from them.when I came back to get it,she made it too small She had to take it apart to do it again. The second time you could see the tracks . I told her I was not satisfied I want it sewn in a circle that way it would full correctly. She still did it her way and it was not suitable for wear. I asked for my money back and she said I couldn't ge a refund because it was already made. Beware if your looking for a topper I wound up taking it apart to get it done the proper way. That was just money wasted And mind you this was a bundle and that's how she chopped it up.

I paid $60 for a frontal replacement and $40 to add a bundle on an old unit I’ve had for months. This is a wig I’ve worn forever, correct size and good high quality bundles. The wig I picked up was like 3 cap sizes too big. Way too big for my head. I asked them to fix the situation and was met with such an extremely dismissive and rude attitude from the lady behind the desk. She basically told me it’s not their problem as all they did was a frontal replacement and they didn’t construct the wig and if I want it remade I would then need to pay an additional $100. No customer service, and unwilling to work with me. They don’t care you’ve been a long standing customer, they’re money hungry and focus on upselling only! Only upside was the stylist Stacy who sewed my wig smaller BY HAND because they refused to sew it on the machine for me. Thank you so much Stacy!!! I really appreciate you. Beware of this shop and take your business elsewhere where you’ll be appreciated.
