Got 2 of the 4 vegan options onigiri - the nagi miso and veggie meat (with mayo) and they were both delicious. A little bit pricy but they were huge. Would definitely recommend getting the veggie meat with mayo if you eat dairy/eggs, it was amazing! Staff was super nice despite it being really busy.
Really enjoyed the onigiris here. they are made fresh and they taste super delicious. My favorite was the spicy tuna. the only downsides are that they are super warm when you get them so they might break apart and they are also kind of expensive but they are at least big for onigiris. Would recommend if you're in the area!
A great little place with super quick service and a variety of tasty options. My favorite is the selection of fresh onigiri. I highly recommend the spicy salmon filled one. Each onigiri comes in at $3.50 and are pretty sizable so they make for a very filling snack or great lunch.
The Onigiri is Fresh, huge, warm, plenty of the fillings. Best food in Japan village. The staff are friendly and nice.

I really enjoyed the food I got from here! It was fresh, amazing price and amazing portion. The onigiri was stuffed with fillings. They were on the saltier side, but I like salt so that wasn’t a problem for me. The salmon, negi miso, spicy salmon, and chicken was what my friends and I tried, and everyone really enjoyed the food! Only $21 for 6 onigiri! We were stuffed at the end!
Super delicious onigiri. Their karaage onigiri is delicious but I do also love their konbu onigiri 🤤 made fresh as you order, suuuuuuper large in size. It’s located just before the doors to the outside dining area. Almost always pick up one or two onigiri when I visit industry city. Can’t come to this place and not get anything.
My absolute favorite spot to grab a quick onigiri. They have so many options and each one that I have had is delicious. I don't live near here so when I do stop by it is always a must.
Absolutely fabulous place for lunch or a snack! They have sustained me over the years of working nearby. Love it!
Amazing onigiri 🍙! Made to order, super fresh and tasty! Sushi was decent too! Worth waiting in line for!
This is the best onigiri in Brooklyn, maybe even NYC. The karaage and spicy tuna ones are fantastic and the sizes are very generous. Fillings could be a little more plentiful sometimes, and yes it's a little salty, but the fact that the rice is always warm and they are super quick makes it worth it. I couldn't recommend it enough.
I could eat the mentaiko mayo onigiri for breakfast lunch and dinner! And I did just that! Thank you for being so generous with mentaiko! The hot onigiri here is the best in the city! You guys always make the trip to industry city worth it! <3

There's a variety of Grab and go bento boxes which are very affordable and delicious. The customer service is great

Obentoyasan is one of the various food stalls in the food hall of Japan Village. They serve large handmade onigiri, ready-to-eat bento boxes, and sushi. Not only that, but they also offer miso soup and sake cups. Since the ready-to-eat bento boxes are kept refrigerated, they are chilled/cold upon purchase. The bento boxes can be saved and taken home, or eaten in the food hall. If you plan on eating them in the food hall, you may use the microwave to heat them up. The staff members were kind enough to instruct me on it: remove the plastic lid and microwave them for three minutes. Please get here early as seats are limited! Hope you enjoy it like I did!
Okay onigiri 3/5, but consider the size and price 4/5. Got the tuna mayo and shrimp tempura. They are hot when I got them. This might be good for a very affordable quick bite, but if you have more time, there are other options nearby.
Good Onigiri, the rice was warm. The protein was balanced. The prices are also fair here. There is plenty of seating in the back, but it is packed later in the day.
Lines of people for their bento boxes and sushi. Really good, hits the spot when you can't go to Japan.

The team working today was really disappointing. The cashier didn’t say a single word to me while I was ordering or when I tried to ask a question about the soups. Instead, he and the others were talking to each other in Spanish and laughing, ignoring the customers. Really unprofessional experience. P.S I didn’t want to say about super salty ramen a word, cuz I already complained about other thing, but I decided I would. This place has been changed a lot since my last time

$26 for premade nigiris. Onigiris are amazing. The young hispanic cashier gets mad if you do not tip her. The asian cashiers are nice though.

My workplace is near by so I come to this place buying lunch very often when I don’t wanna cook. But here is why my colleagues and I all stop buying from this place: Portion Size varies depending on who make your order!!!! If you’re lucky enough that your order is prepared by the lady who wear glasses with very short hair, then you’ll like this place. But if it’s other people who make your onigiri, you’ll end up either not getting enough filling of the protein, or just getting half of the size than the normal onigiri you can get. Like you can see from the review here. This is the most affordable and decent place in this Japanese food court. But you can definitely find other places with better quality and authentic experience. I don’t recommend this place. It’s okay if you just wanna try the first time. But good luck.

Last year (2024), I visited Japan Village and bought a to-go bento from Bento & Onigiri for dinner. It tasted great. This year (2025), I came back and bought another bento box for dinner, but it didn't taste as good as last year. Still, I didn't want to waste the $16 I spent. I was almost done with my meal when I noticed a BUG in the vegetables (photo attached). This is unacceptable...shame on you for not properly washing or cleaning the vegetables. I will not go back and buy from Bento & Onigiri!!

We really wanted to like this place :/ I got the mentaiko and my friend ordered the karage and it both tasted fresh and the rice was still hot when she gave it to us. The portion size was good for the price. However BOTH were extremely extremely unbearably salty. I would have returned it but we left already and ended up tossing it out. It felt like we both ate 2 whole spoons of salt in that rice. Will not be ordering from here again.
