A quick & convenient stop before hopping on the Verrazano. We snagged street parking right in front. Staff was very friendly. Everything looks amazing. If we weren't on a long trip I would have got some of the desserts. The food and drinks we got were all good quality and yummy! Items ordered: iced oat milk caramel latte, iced coffee, plain croissant, pistachio croissant (must try!), spinach bistro (yum!)

I’m giving all 5s on the review, but I didn't eat there—I grabbed an iced coffee during my day showing properties in the area. As a local realtor, I needed that pick-me-up, and being in Bay Ridge, I could have gone to a name brand, but I wanted to support local businesses. I was not disappointed! The staff was super friendly, and the coffee was very tasty. It gave me the pep I needed. Thanks again!

This unsuspecting coffee shop is a hidden gem for delicious cakes! I randomly stumbled into PEP for a matcha, but I left with a vanilla hazelnut cake for a potluck I had later that evening (it’s the white cake with macaroon on top). While I planned to go to another fancy pastry shop in the neighborhood, I’m glad I stumbled into PEP. The cake was an absolute crowd pleaser! 3 people asked me where I got it and they loved the light and airy textures with bites of cake/crunch. Additionally, the employee working the counter was lovely and helpful! Luckily, the shop had extra paper plates and utensils for me to bring to the potluck. Overall, it was a great experience and I will be back :).

Quiet little coffee shop with small sets of seats. The worker was so friendly and where the seats are comfortable. Theres a large selection of teas as well as coffee. Didn't know they had so many teas and I'm more of a tea drinker than coffee so that was great!

Delicious treats, cozy atmosphere! My husband and I love coming here. The music is usually contemporary and jazzy, (think Jamiroquai) and the chairs are all very comfortable to sit in.

I stopped by this AMAZING little coffee shop and I’m so glad I went in! The place is clean and neat, and and the barista gir is super nice and friendly! I will definitely stop by again whenever I’m close by!!

Birthday Celebration at the Office I was ordering items over the phone from out-of-state so it was a little confusing regarding the name of this place. Initially, I was looking for "Cake Delivery Brooklyn." The phone was answered by Pep (same place?) and I ordered a variety of pastries and a "birthday" cake to be delivered to my daughter's office. My daughter said presentation of all the baked goods was beautiful and everything was delicious. They don't deliver but UberEats took care of that. The whole process -- from ordering online to delivery completed -- took about 30 minutes. Thank you, Pep, for doing such a great job!!

This is a great little coffee shop that immediately became part of my routine once I found it. It's a small place, so don't plan to park here, but if you want a Starbucks alternative, this is it. Good benches nearby (and a chair outside) to sit with your drink. These guys are doing what makes neighborhoods better: giving people solid local businesses to support.

Though the place is very small, and a bit hidden due to a small sign on a busy street, the shop is definitely worth a visit. The main reason? The pastries are delicious. I highly recommend the croissants, which are available in atypical flavors like cherry (my favorite) and apricot. But that's just the beginning. The raisin twists are wonderful, as are all of the pastries, which are fresh and light and very tasty. The coffee is also very good. The staff are often shy, for some reason, but very warm and helpful once you flash a smile. Try it!!

I had an incredible 5-star experience at PEP Bakehouse and Coffee Shop! Both the food and atmosphere were absolute standouts, each earning a high 4-star rating. The service was also good, earning a solid 3-star rating. This is a fantastic local spot for a great visit in a wonderful environment!

And now I see a cherry almond croissant and that gives me the definite reason to come back! - A bit rambly it’s okay tho it’s a google review and as I lay in bed on Christmas I am craving a pastry pastry and then I started thinking about this place and at the time of this you guys were closed :( it’s okay a day off for Christmas you guys deserve it

Cozy coffee spot. Its very small and a bit hidden. I really enjoy their various pastries . They have unique flavors like apricot, pistachio and apple flavored pastries. They are not too sweet and not too oily/buttery which is what I like. They are also nice and quick with check out so I can get in and out and go about my day

I usually stop by this café a couple of times a week just to grab a few macarons eclairs— they’ve always been my little treat. Today, I came in with a coffee from a nearby spot after having breakfast elsewhere, and planned to sit for 5 minutes while enjoying the three macarons I purchased. The café was completely empty not a single person was there , but I was told I couldn’t stay because of the outside coffee. It felt unnecessarily rigid, especially given I was a paying customer and the place wasn’t busy. Honestly, it was disappointing, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Complaint Regarding Repeatedly Poor Customer Service Dear PEP BAKEHOUSE & COFFEE SHOP I am writing to bring to your attention repeated negative customer service experiences I have had with a staff member at your 9413 Third Ave Brooklyn, NY 11209 United States location. On 09/02/2025, I arrived at the shop at 6:55 a.m., unaware that it was not yet open. A staff member who is regularly on duty during my visits told me—very abruptly and without greeting—that the shop was closed. When I politely asked what time the shop would open, she replied “7 o’clock” in a similarly rude tone. When I returned at 7:00 a.m., the same staff member again displayed unprofessional behavior. She did not greet me as I entered, did not acknowledge my order when I placed it, and after preparing my coffee, placed it on the counter in a noticeably dismissive and unpleasant manner rather than handing it to me. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident. I have had multiple unpleasant interactions with this same staff member over time, and friends of mine who also frequent your shop have shared similar negative experiences. As a regular customer, I find this repeated behavior unacceptable, especially as it creates an unwelcoming start to my day. I value your coffee and the atmosphere your shop is known for, but I believe customer service is just as important as product quality.
