Tacocina offers tasty tacos and drinks with a great view, especially on a summer day. Customers rave about the steak quesadilla and lime crema. Some find it overpriced with small portions and inconsistent food quality.

The location is the best of this place. I didn't eat anything but did have some beers in the seating area looking at the water. Great for that and grab a bite and people watching. Prices are high and service is good.
Nice and peaceful place on a Saturday at noon. Not crowded on this beautiful sunny day. Nice breeze. I had the pork and pineapple taco and I loved it. 5 bucks a pop and I was full. I also had a side of chips and guacamole, 2 fried shrimp tacos which was ok not great. 2 frozen margaritas. 13 bucks a pop but afyer the first frozen margarita I was feeling it. Definitely worth it. I'm on my second margaritas as I'm writing this. This place os cool check them out. A bit pricey but I'll take it.
Tacos, guacamole and nachos were excellent. Tacos were fresh & didn't skimp on fillings. Bought churros for a friend & she loved them. They came with a caramel sauce. Will definitely go back.
Food and drinks are really good. Me and my wife ordered Margaritas and tacos and they tested awesome. I would recommend this place to anybody. After dinner we went for a walk at Domino's park. Which is an awesome park for families. Note: Alcohol drink must be consumed inside the restaurant area. Don't walk around with the alcohol drinks in the park.
Tacos were sooo good and juicy! I got a margarita for $10, which I thought was kind of pricey but they put a good amount of alcohol in it. I would definitely recommend eating here while at the park or even stop by if you're in the mood for great Tacos.
Excellent no thrills tacos 🌮 I went there with low expectations as I usually do when I go to pretty touristy places on the shore front and I was extremely pleased by the tacos. I found them surprisingly good and tasty (especially the pulled pork). Very affordable too! Would 100% go back for something casual on a Sunday afternoon/night
Great spot to grab a margarita and enjoy the view. Tacos are good too, really wish they would bring back the Tinga tacos though, my girlfriend and I used to stop by almost every night for them.
The guac is so creamy and delicious. I ordered the Pork & Pineapple tacos & they were amazing. Perfect mix of sweet & salty. The seating outside is gorgeous. The view is to die for. The employees are super nice.
After enjoying an afternoon at Domino park at almost attempting to buy something at Tacocina On this day 7/2 there was a horrible thunderstorm that looked like a hurricane. Thankfully i was infront of this amazing restaurant Tacocina not only did they allow me to come in but they also were very empathetic by handing out plastic bags to the rest of the people getting wet. I cannot thank them enough for helping me out in such a scary moment i had (anxiety attack) they brought me and gave me water. They also helped out a lady with her infant. The manager Carla and her crew were beyond nice! God bless you guys! Love Tacocina 🤍
Got here early this morning (Saturday) they open at 11am. Perfect timing. No one. Park was ours! And the tacos/ciders/customer service was great. So much fun for my 2 year old😀💪and daddy too. Thank you.
Came here yesterday with a group of friends. The pork and steak quesadillas were delicious. Employee Dwayne was super sweet he came to our table making sure we had water & hot sauce. Great service . Will be back again today!
First time in domino park ! We stopped to get Drinks and tacos and drinks. Fish tacos was great. The worker Dwayne was so nice and sweet even gave us recommendations on what to do in the park like volleyball 😌 Thank you tacocina
My first time visiting Tacocina did not disappoint. The food was delicious, the location is close to the water and doesn’t disappoint for a sunset view. There’s tons of points to take photos, and kick your hit up on the lawn. I’d definitely see myself coming back before summer is over.
In the heart of Domino Park is this perfect space for delicious tacos and drinks! Margaritas, Palomas and more. The small yard has various tables and seats to enjoy your food and adult beverages. The views of Manhattan are just incredible. This place feels, tastes and smells like summer. Great place to get away from the city vibe without getting away from the City. If anything Tacocina and all of Domino Park is too small to accommodate everyone who wants to hang out here. If you are lucky to get in though you will truly enjoy an amazing time
Taco Bliss at Tacocina Tacocina is a fantastic spot to enjoy a great selection of tacos in a lively and scenic setting. With plenty of outdoor seating facing the water, it’s the perfect place to relax, take in the surroundings, and indulge in some seriously delicious food. My favorites were the Pollo Adobo, Pork Pibil, Ensenada Shrimp, and Carne Asada tacos—each one packed with bold flavors and fresh ingredients. To top it off, the frozen passion fruit with tequila was absolutely refreshing and the perfect complement to the meal. The service was just as great as the food. Our order staff, McKenna, had amazing energy and made the experience even better, along with the rest of the friendly and attentive team. If you’re looking for a spot with great tacos, drinks, and an unbeatable atmosphere, Tacocina is definitely worth a visit!
I recently dined at Tacocina and it was outstanding, thanks in large part to Dwayne he explained the menu to us while waiting on line today . We got the steak nachos & Pork quesadillas . The Frozen strawberry drinks are well on point 10/10 . It was vibrant and fresh. Atmosphere was nice in the dining area with games . Tacocina is perfect for a quick bite with vegan options as well . Highly Recommended especially with Dwayne’s amazing Assistance !
Views and vibes . I am sure on a weekend, this place is packed! But if you can swing by during the week, it's the spot. I had the beef taco, shrimp and mushroom and loved them all!!!! So flavorful and delicious. The chicken one was a bit lack luster for me but I still ate it. The veggie platter is refreshing: order it, great to add on top of your tacos. I also got the rose in a can. Hit the spot.
A lovely taco spot inside Domino Park, right on the East River. It’s a lovely spot for some al fresco tacos ($4 - $5) and margaritas ($10) or beers ($7). There are only two vegetarian taco options (cheese and mushrooms, or a double cheese taco with crispy cheese) but the elote ($5) and guacamole & chips ($8) are also meat free. The elote has a nice kick to it, the tacos could’ve used a bit more seasoning but the hot sauces provided are great and the self-serve limes and radishes are a nice touch. If you want to avoid long lines, go there during the week - I didn’t have to wait at the cashier and my food was ready in less than ten minutes. Super friendly service. Thank you :)
Best Tacos!!! Amazing Margaritas and delicious chicken quesadillas. Everything we tried was really great. Service was excellent too
The staff there is amazing and truly look out for their customers. What I mean by this is, I ordered one taco initially and I asked for the price of the drink just to see if I would buy it or not. I decided not to and just and just get a taco, next thing I see is the cashier (person at the window taking your order) open a bottle and hand it over to me. I was in awe and extremely grateful. With receiving this service I want to tell Tacocina continue the good work and continue hiring such great staff. P.S.- I would just lower the price a bit perhaps 2 tacos per order for maybe 6 dollars per order. Its a bit too little per order for the price you are demanding. Other than that, you have great food, great service, and a great location somthing every restaurant should aspire to have.
Tacocina, definitely is the summer place for having fun and relax while you enjoy all the awesome food with all the mexican flavor! Tacocina offers you so many different options of tacos from carne asada to fried fish, including mushrooms tacos. On the other hand, it’s not only about the tacos, they also offer you a full menu of snacks with the perfect size to share (also with a mushroom option, perfect for vegetarian meals). On the top of that they have a happy hour every day with a menu filled with flavoursome drinks filled with all the mexican style. Tacocina is by far one of the places that you need to visit if you wanna enjoy a tasteful meals, outstanding service while you have fun with the games or just taking the sun and chill at the nice patio enjoying the delish and refreshing drinks. Tacocina: the coolest place of the summer🔅
Not the best tacos you’ve ever had but pretty pretty pretty good. Order the lime creama (liquid GOLD) put it on your steak taco, your fried fish taco, even your cheese quesadilla (I know, but trust me). You can NOT beat this on a perfect summer day. The habiscus frozen marg hits just right too. Skip the Mexican corn it’s better at Union Pool. Vibes are awesome, perfect for a date and the view after sunset is UNBELIEVABLE
This was our first time trying this place put even though we live here. We were surprised at how good the food was! We ordered a vegetarian taco and a couple of pork tacos and it was pretty darn good. We have eaten tacos around in Williamsburg and these were one of the best tasting. We did feel the price point was a little higher but the quantity of meat added justified the price. The vegetarian mushroom taco had avacado added to it which I haven't seen in any other vegetarian taco. There's a new taco place that's opened on Bedford and they charge about $5 but it isn't as much meat as this place. The place is located by the water so I don't think I have to say anything about the view. We will definitely come back to get a taco because it is worth the price!! The service was pretty fast too.
The place is really beautiful. Its spaces are very beachy and full of color and a good atmosphere. It is on the banks of the river which gives it a lovely breeze. an excellent place to share, have a drink and enjoy a majestic panorama. Although the menu is not very large, the food and drinks are good. The staff that works there is very friendly.
This place is a gem amongst the urban fabric of Williamsburg and the evolving waterfront here. It’s tucked away into Domino Park- a new beautiful green space by the East River. You can get drinks, tacos, and yummy snacks while sitting in a beautiful outdoor garden environment. There’s plenty of plants, people, and the surrounding city to enjoy your drinks and snacks with. The workers here are really friendly and nice and the food comes out really fast. Please enjoy!
Hubby and I ordered 2 pork and pineapple tacos (1 each), chips and salsa, 2 waters, one Diet Coke and one can of beer for $35. $5 a taco isn't bad as long as they're a decent size and they're not. Tasted very good but super tiny. The view is gorgeous and picnic tables had umbrellas which provided much needed shade on that hot day. We'd probably go again out of convenience but not thrilled about the size of the tacos.
On ambiance alone, this place receives 3.5 stars. Can’t beat a good margarita with views of the NYC skyline. Definitely come during a lazy weekday evening or day off. Warm Saturday’s will almost always mean long line to order, long wait for food and table. Not every thing on the menu will wow but the Monterey and cojita taco is probably the best thing they have (and I’m not a vegetarian). I enjoy treating myself to this place when I have a day off.
Perhaps it’s time for a change of the place on the domino park but right now this place is kind of just ok with ok to slow service.
I read the reviews beforehand and went in expecting basically inedible food. I dont know why there's so much hate for this place! It was definitely pricey but that's to be expected for a Williamsburg spot on the water. I had the chicken adoba and beef tacos and they were pretty good! The ice cream sandwiches taste like they're from an Italian bakery which was interesting and enjoyable. Drinks were tasty. And you cant beat the location. Nice spot will return.
The food was really delicious and came out very quick. I suggest to order on your phone instead of standing on line. The drinks were great, I recommend the Lime Cooler. A lot of common items were sold out by about 9 pm though like the chips and guac. Also we had to sit further away from the booth because there was an awful noise that we couldn’t hear each other over. Otherwise, great food & views! I got 3 tacos & a cocktail and spent 34$ including tax and tip.
I think some of the reviews here are a bit unfair. If you’re looking for the best tacos of your entire life, it maybe isn’t the place. After all they’re priced at $4-$5. But if you’re looking for some good tacos at a great price in a fantastic location, then this taco stand is for you. The mushroom taco was my favourite, and the service was really great after a miscommunication with my order. I’d definitely recommend this spot for a casual bite or drink with a beautiful view. I’ll be back.
A hidden gem, a little because front feel on the water is always a good thing. Tacos are creative and flavorful. I love stopping here to escape the city a for a while.
Nice place in Domino Park to just sit have a snack and drink and enjoy life talking, laughing with friends. I just want to bring my dog to the park snd after he was exhausted I brought him to Tacoina seating area. Of course there are seats outside and your dog can join your party. It was so fun and my dog has a lot of snack and he sat next to me.
Such a cute restaurant! The view is amazing with the bridge and park to the other side. The restaurant has a picnic set up with beach tables and umbrellas for shade. The line is looong so be ready to wait. The shrimp taco wasn’t my favorite I took one bite and I was over it but the chicken taco was incredible. Their strawberry hibiscus slushee was refreshing alongside with the elotes I had. The location is great since it starts off Domino Park
Taco your time Sliding into fall and soak up the last of the beautiful weather before it gets too cold outside at @heytacocina down at @dominopark Walked by here soo many times with @aaronchristopher_j but we finally decided to stop by and try their tacos and margs. We got frozen margs and carne asada and chicken tinga tacos. It a little expensive but you’re paying for that outdoor seating by the water 10/1/22
4 stars mostly for incredible location/venue being in the center of domino park. Great hangout spot with plenty of seating and heating lamps. Beer is around $6-8 and tacos are $4-4.50/each. Tacos were tasty but quite small so definitely order at least 2-4 so you don’t starve. Line can appear long but moves quickly. Got the chips and gauc too, gauc was good but chips were too thin! Good times, Good times 🌮
Cool location in Domino Park! We ordered at the window and ate in the back (seat yourself). The food was very tasty, just a little expensive. I had two of the cheese tacos, elote (has a kick!), chips and guac, and a Paloma (could barely taste the tequila, but maybe that was a good thing!).
Taco Cina is a riverside taco stand located inside Domino Park that includes traditional Tex-Mex dishes with a pronounced Brooklyn interpretation. While the views and location are truly the star of this no frills eatery however a few dishes do the heavy lifting for the restuarant. The standard taco offerings are slightly above average but provide fun twists that offer options for all diets. If you are going to order one item off the menu make it the Cojita and Monterey Jack taco which features a crispy cheese shell with gooey cheese filling, arguably the best thing at Taco Cina. This isn't a destination worth a special trip alone but when combined with Domino Park the synergy makes it amazing.
Not bad but needs to be more engaging and friendlier with customers every day. They need to incorporate misting devices to help cool customers, oh and make sure the self-service water station is always operational specifically on extremely hot days..
2 stars really for the tacos! But I’ll give it 3 overall because staff are super friendly and the micheladas are good. We’ve had the tacos twice now and tried all kinds and they are super disappointing and they all taste way too sweet. Expected better from Danny Meyer. The guac is also good, but we are not fans of the chips. Next time, we’ll bring our own food and maybe just get drinks.
The pollo quesadilla and fried fish taco is delicious. The pollo was well seasoned and cooked. The margaritas on the other hand taste like flavor water .
Very over hyped. The quality of food doesn’t match the price. I didn’t like the frozen margarita, it tasted like it was made from a mix.. The vibe and location is nice though.
Lovely spot by the water, but these tacos were awful. They broke apart immediately. The corn tortillas were too soggy, and they should be doubled. Everything just spilled out everywhere, we ended up just eating the filling with a fork. The fillings themselves are also very mid. Nothing extraordinary. Esquites were good. Wait was long but staff was friendly.
Food is nothing special. The mushroom quesadilla was delicious, the tacos were average, and the guac was flavorless and probably the worst guac I’ve ever had.
Far to be the best taco’s place in NY, the happy hour is soso (only available on specific items), beer and cocktails are suppose to be cheaper during the happy hour but it’s finally available on some beers and one cocktail. The view is great, good place for quick lunch or for sharing a drink with friends while you’re enjoying the view on Manhattan
The outdoor venue is wonderful, right on the river front. Everything is simple - tables, plastic ware, etc. Very kid friendly. The tacos are $6 and decent. I had a Mexican Mushroom taco and a fish taco. Neither were anything to write home about, but they were good. The $12 chips and guacamole were heavy on the guac and light on the tasty home made chips - but both were fresh and tasty. We had some margaritas too. Again, pretty average. Order and pick up at a window. No restrooms, so you need to talk a block to the public restrooms in the nearby Domino building.
They dont have alot of the foods they say on the menu, I suggest just take a picnic and you can sit on that area and see for yourself what they do have on the menu that day. The margarita was ok not to light lol they offer tajin rim or salt rim on the cup. Micheladas it's just a simple drink nothing with to many condiments on it as a traditional michelada would. The Paloma was ok aswell. The tacos we order the pollo de tinja and pork with pineapple tacos my favorite ware the pork because it had enough meat just cilantro they weren't spicy but they do offer bottle salsas. It's a nice spot to have something quick but not to quick because there's 1 line only. While you wait have someone look for a spot to sit.they are pricey for what they offer but it was a first time try for myself I wasn't that impress so I'll be packing a picnic next time since the menu wasn't the kids favorite.
Lovely place, vibrant and scenic. The food however was a let down. We ordered chicken tinga, carne asada and the pork and pineapple. There was zero flavour! The chicken and pork tasted as if the meat was boiled and shredded (the carne asada was slightly better). Very disappointing taco experience and not really value for money... Customer service was good as was the summer ale.
Went there with 4 people food was ok , but the tables were all filthy! They obviously hadn’t been wiped down all day! It was disappointing
Do not get a pitcher! $56 for literally one cocktail worth of liquid in a small pitcher with a bag of ice. Staff was incredibly mean, look at you like you spat in their face if you ask for extra sauce, or the sides you paid for, it’s a massive rip off, but the food is decent and the area is so beautiful.
I know what a good taco is and take my word for it this is by far the worst *chicken tinga* tacos I’ve ever had in my 28 years of living. The best way to describe you the taste was Chef Boyardee mixed with ketchup and hot sauces. Gross. And the worst part each taco is 5$. I ordered 4.. I ate one just cause i felt bad to have food thrown away but ultimately i threw them away cause they were so awful. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE ON FOOD. Yes, I’m upset.
…$5 for ONE taco. You would think that for 5$ the taste would be magnificent but it barely had any flavor. The only flavor present was the small dollop of sauce. I wouldn’t recommend this spot to someone who wants an actual meal for a reasonable price. I’d rather send someone to Taco Bell because it tastes more authentic than this place.
We went on a busy Saturday, but the line moved relatively quickly and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The food was all quite good and the location is fantastic. Why the restaurant is receiving only one star is because of the careless attitude they took towards my girlfriend's shellfish allergy. We were very clear with the young lady taking the order that there was a shellfish allergy in the order and we double checked all of the items she ordered to make sure they were all safe. One of the members of our group ordered a shrimp taco, and we asked them to make sure that it was separate from the rest of the food. When we went to the window to pick the food up, the shrimp taco was sitting on top of the rest of the food we had ordered. When I attempted to ask them to clarify if care was taken to make sure her food was fine, they casually passed it off and said it was fine. My girlfriend, who is not all that sensitive, wound up having a reaction to the rest of the food. I would recommend avoiding the restaurant if you have any sensitivities or allergies. We were extremely excited for the experience, as we love Danny Meyer's restaurants, but this was an extraordinary disappointment and brings up many concerns about their care and attitude towards allergies, which can be life and death for many.
Good location, but the tacos are not good. They are very dry and they took 40 min (we ordered online because the queue was long). I recommend tacos numero 1 if you are looking for good tacos in New York, not this place.
Forgot my order as well as the people behind me. Gave the receipt and he goes “I gave you your order”. Dude, standing right in front of you and you didn’t give me anything. Finally delivered but won’t be back.
A short line led to a 45 minute wait for food. We were given a partial order missing a taco at that point, and on the whole, the food was lukewarm and not filling. Worst of all, there were at least two incidents of fights over the very few seats that were shaded with umbrellas on a hot day. (Meanwhile, there were heat lamps sitting out in spaces that could have had umbrellas.) There are serious issues that need to be worked out here, and it is now up to the standards of other Danny Meyer fast-casual spots like Shake Shack.
Please don’t ever come here , no health department grade , bug and rodents infesting the space . Spent over 100 here to enjoy a bottle of wine and tacos , after five minutes of sitting down abandoning the table , food , and wine . Not worth the hype and struggle !
very sad no vegan meal options. this new york city.... you would think they would start modernizing and realizing eating animals is part of the PROGRAMMING.... shameful
The one good thing about this place is the location. The atmosphere is great and right on the river, but the prices are high and the food is pretty terrible. The tacos are super basic with just meet and a barely anything else. Would be nice to have some added veggies and more flavor. This place has huge potential, I hope they turn it around.
Portions are tiny and they have no restroom. After a few drinks, I asked the person at the counter for the location of the restroom, I was told there is a public bathroom two blocks away. I walked the two bllocks and waited inline for a solid 10 min as I stood there with all the individuals from the nearby park. Yeah, not cool, after paying top $ for drinks.
I had a chicken taco here, and unfortunately, it had bones in it—which made it really hard to enjoy. For $6, it felt overpriced for the quality. I also ordered a pineapple juice, which tasted old and fermented, like it had been sitting out too long. Overall, pretty disappointing experience for the price. And why tip if it is self service?
They charge 6 dollars for one tiny taco, and to add onto that drinks are not cheap there even a coke costs 5 dollars. A local place in manhattan or in brooklyn farther from Domino park costs cheaper. They are just leeching off the fact that they are right by the water and charge an absurd amount for such a small portion. Just for it to be mediocre as well.
Incredibly overpriced. Pitchers of margaritas are 52 dollars, and it’s a half pitcher in reality. Asked for more chips for our remaining guac, and they had the nerve to try and charge us after already spending 130 dollars on the tab. Will not come back. Cannot recommend.
By 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. I am sad to see that this waterfront business—which directly benefits from the health of the river in front of it—is normalizing, promoting, and profiting off the sale of single use plastics like this bottled water. Over 95% of the plastic that we produce and consume, does not actually get recycled, but ends up in landfills, incinerators, in our waterways, and in our bodies via micro plastics. We can’t keep justifying the use of this material unless it’s utterly necessary. And by now, there are so many better options you could pursue than plastic bottled water. There is aluminum canned water, glass bottled water, and you could even just offer real glasses/cups that folks could refill on site. But it feels egregious and neglectful to add to the plastic pollution crisis within a park ON a waterfront. Thanks for considering my concerns about how Williamsburg businesses can help us do better by this waterfront ecosystem we all love and depend on!
