I came with my wife on Taco Tuesday for a lil date and I'll just say we have found our new spot. Let me start by saying I love finding black owned restaurants and to see a black man owning a restaurant establishment... hats off to our people. Now the food was amazing, I had the fish tacos and my wife had the birria nachos. Those fish tacos were the best I've ever had hands down. The service was amazing, our server was Aliza. Huge shoutout to Aliza for making our first experience there welcoming and friendly. Her attention to detail was above and beyond; she brought us things we needed without us even having to say a word and that's not customer service I see often so that needed to be said. The restaurant is kind of small but the music was a whole vibe and I enjoyed singing/dancing to some early 2000s R&B. The lemon drops were amazing and my wife has made it a goal to try every flavor so I can't wait to return!

I love , love , love this place ! The ambience is beautiful, the workers ceaser , George and Kevin customer service skills are immaculate ! The music is dope & the food is great. Nice spot to come to and catch a dope vibe. My favorite thing to get is the margarita and lemon pepper wings 🤭..

My homegirl and I felt like Tacos on a Wednesday. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. My cocktail was a hit and the shared Maduros with Guacamole knocked our socks off! I ordered the Oxtail Quesadillas and she had the Carne Asada dinner. Both were well-seasoned and very tasty. This neighborhood gem is sure to please residents and visitors alike.

Me & my homegirl went here. I loved the food and the service was nice. However, adding a 20% gratuity to a party more than 1 & not telling people is crazy work. So if you go here, pay attention to your bill! They will not tell you but I will!! *So, the owner responded to my review. If it was on the menu about the gratuity, I did not see it & I feel the servers should still let the customers know just in case. What if the service doesn't deserve 20%? Also, a dog was allowed in there the night we went. And it wasn't a service dog.

Taco order came out wrong the first time. The serving size for the plantain chips and guac was TINY for ~$12. The plantains were also soggy. If I knew I wouldn’t have ordered it. The tacos were okay. Food took a long time to come out and we were two of six people eating there.

Food was good, but adding 20% gratuity without saying anything is unacceptable. When the server brought out the credit card terminal for payment, he had skipped right past the itemized bill, straight to the total (which included 20% tip already) without saying anything- so I couldn’t even see the price breakdown of items and tip, which is clearly on purpose. Then, it still asks you for additional tip, and the default options are the usual 20%+ , making you think that gratuity wasn’t included. They clearly know what they’re doing with this method, nobody’s reading the damn fine print at the bottom of the menu and remembering that when it’s time to pay- and y’all know that. Good way to lose repeat business. If you do actually care about being transparent, the server should mention the automatic tip and show the itemized bill at time of payment. You’ll make more money being genuine than with shady business practices, Trust.

We wanted to be supportive of local businesses so we went to do the ayce drink a nd eat tacos. But unfortunately cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Overall it started decent and very normal. You are only allowed to order 2 tacos at a time and there are few specific drinks. This was all reasonable. You have a limited amount of time to eat and tacos took some time to come out, mind you it was not busy at all. The tacos were actually pretty good and very flavorful and we enjoyed the first few. The drinks were okay and made with cheapest tequila which is fine since it’s all you can drink. However things started to feel off and we noticed the tacos got saltier and each round. By the time we got to our 8th taco, it was unmistakable. Still we wanted to give benefit of the doubt and support a local black owned business. However that all went out the door at the end. I asked for an another drink and the guy said our time was up. I said that wasn’t possible and we should have another 15 minutes. He said he would go check for me. He left and then came back telling me “he got me”. When we paid for the bill we were not shown a receipt, only amount. After we paid we were able to pull the receipt from the app and we were able to see he charged me full price for the drink. This was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. He could have told me he checked and the time has passed, and if I still wanted it he would have to charge, instead he led me to believe it was covered. Deceptive and unacceptable service. There was barely anyone here on a Saturday night on a holiday weekend. The only table was what look like a setup for photos by some guy who probably is the owner who’s just posting photos and having friends vote this place up. I cannot in good consciousness recommend this place. It could have decent food but management is shady. They prioritize kicking everyone out and just looking like a cool place to visit. I feel a bit uncomfortable posting this but I wish was able to see an honest review before visiting. It’s likely they will respond being defensive and not acknowledging or try to address any of the issues as well. You have been warned, it’s a repeated behavior.
