Dodici Pizza and Wine

The pizza, ambiance, and selection of wine make it all worth a try. This was my first time I had given the spot a try and I instantly regretted not having gone sooner. I had been invited and never thought it’d be a place to enjoy food and drink, I was wrong. I love it and will definitely be going back. Have a glass of wine and enjoy your night outside!

My experience was really amazing. The staff were very nice, very knowledgeable of their menu, and eager to see that everything turned out well. I was very happy to see that the prices were not super expensive. They have done a really great job of making an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. I had the chorizo Pizza and definitely can't wait to work my way through the menu.

Forgot to take a shot of the Carlitos Pizza and Classico (pepperoni and b cheese) but I did remember taking a pic of the Caprese salad. Service is great! The ambiance is wonderful, a perfect place to host a small baby shower or bridal shower even to celebrate your birthday. Our favorite is the Carlitos pizza, it has brisket, bacon pepperoni with a poblano sauce drizzle. 😋

Nothing else like it in the RGV. If you are looking for Pizza like you would experience in Italy then Dodici has you covered. They import their Pizza ingredients and their Ovens from Italy and it shows. Only demerit I would give it is they only offer one size Pizza at 12 inches but I highly doubt you will leave hungry and if you are still hungry they offer Cannolis plus multiple Cheesecake options. Definitely worth the trip but be forewarned parking is not plentiful so ideally get there no later than 430pm.

Pizza was great nice thin and full of flavor ! Staff was friendly and attentive! Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu. Update : have been back several times new menu but still awesome options. Never disappointed with any of the pizzas I've tried

We could have not chosen a better place to celebrate our collage graduate. First and most important the staff was amazingly profesional, attentive and always with a smile, as the host of the party I did not worry for a bit that our guests were not been attended. Second, the food was incredible and absolutely delicious, from the appetizers , salad, pizza , and the sangria WOW. And third but not last , thank you Dante Pensa for all your help before and during the party 👏🏼👏🏼. Well done team Dodici.

Lovely restaurant. Food was amazing and the service was top notch. There is a courtyard as well. They have wines and beers. I just don't like that the restroom opens up to the dinning.

If you haven’t tried Dodici you are missing out! They have delicious brick oven pizza! Several options to choose from! Also recommend their charcuterie board, the Caesar salad, meatballs appetizer, and the artichoke dip. My favorites are the chorizo pizza, the bee sting, and the meat supreme. Delicious!! Great wine options as well… we always have our dinner with a nice bottle of wine. Friendly service. And they have reservations on Open Table!

Great food, great place, vibe and service. We tried the meats and cheese board, as well as two different pizzas. The fact that the menu is limited in options gives a better way on choosing some simple but good quality items (which can also be modified in case you need any extra ingredient(s) in your order). Completely recommend it.

A great place to enjoy your late afternoon, the patio is beautiful, and the food does not disappoint. This time, we started with a savory burrata, and the only way to describe it is exquisite, the fresh mozzarella, the roasted tomatoes complimented each other perfectly. The arugula salad had a great balance between sweet and salted. The chorizo pizza was the best, full of flavor and the dough was just as I like it. The mia margherita pizza could be a little bit better, maybe it was a bit too saucy. And to finish the day, the cheesecake. Dodici Pizza is definitely a place to visit again and again.

Wow! Such a great vibe here. We were able to enjoy one of the first cool days of fall out on the patio. Food was amazing. Our host was the best. He gave us some great recommendations both for food and some drinks. We spend a couple of hours here, and it was too short. We can’t wait to go back.

I love Dodici. I came down to the valley and had to visit because i really miss this place. I love the Carlito but we tried the pepperoni i think it’s the Classico and one with shrimp i forgot what it was called. but everything was so good! i brought my siblings and we all had a great time. Service was superb!

This venue may be small but their food is definitely worth the visit. Delicious would be an understatement. The service here is superb and THAT’S what enhances a decent meal into a great one. We drove over an hour just to try this place, and it was well worth the trip! The combination meat and cheese platter was delectable. The pizzas were cooked to perfection and were so delicious. Great ambience and super friendly staff.

I highly recommend. The taste of the pizza is very different than ordinary fast food chain pizza. It has a wonderful atmosphere inside and outside. For someone who hates the outdoors, it's so comfortable out there. They have fans outside. The staff are really friendly and it's great place to take a date or family!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Little hidden gem in the Brownsville historic district. The burrata was fresh, the beer selection was nice, the pizza was made in a brick oven & it tasted amazing. Our waiter (Daniel T) was super kind & helpful. Def recommend.

The service provided by our waitress was top notch, she was very informative and attentive. The appetizer spinach and artichoke dip was one of the best I've had, our pizzas were fresh, tasty and more than we expected. Give it a try!

What an awesome place! The pizza is delicious and you can definitely taste the freshness in the ingredients(specially the sauce) The crust is just perfect! I recommend the cheese board, it’s exquisite! The waitstaff is always marking sure your aren’t needing anything. The wine and beer selection is plentiful. Although it was a full house our food was out pretty quickly. I do recommend you make reservations, since this place is pretty popular. Great Job!

I threw a party for a friend of mine which included originally 14 people. They were able to provide a reservation package that was a great deal! The service was great! Manager was very nice! I would definitely come back to throw more parties here for the atmosphere was beautiful and service was great!

Wow! Unbelievably delicious pizza yes, but SO MUCH MORE! Also loved the arugula salad with blackened shrimp! And the garden is a hidden paradise. Old world charm; perfect dishes, elegant yet comfortable and unpretentious. If ever there was a reason to visit the old downtown area this is it. Special occasions or just a special night out. Reasonable prices for such an unforgettable experience.

Dining at Dodici's is always such a treat! We arrived for an early dinner. Julietta was our server and helped us narrow down our pizza order. We had the Mando (think cheesy, spicy, crispy, sweet and tangy!) and the Bandiera (think herby, refreshing, and cheesy!) and holy moly we're they delicious and full of incredible flavors! Dodici's has the best crust: thin and crispy at the bottom with a crunchy, airy crust. We started with the arugula salad which has candied cranberries, gorgonzola and pecans with an apple cider vinaigrette and ended our dinner with the key lime cheesecake from Los Fresnos bakery, Stephanie's Cheesecakes! I normally stay away from cheesecake, but this was the bestest I have ever had! We definitely overindulged, but it was so worth it because everything was absolutely fantastic! Thank you, Julietta for such wonderful service and recommendations! Dodici's is our favorite Brownsville restaurant! I almost forgot about the pistachio cannolis! OMG! They were so good, filled with refreshing but not overly sweet cream in a crunchy pastry shell! 😋😋😋

This place is such a true gift to this community! We were blessed to be introduced to this amazing pizza through SpaceX and are even more blessed to live to nearby this scrumptious pizza restaurant! The restaurant is nice and casual and truly a treasure on its own. The wait staff are very attentive and are truly happy to have you as a customer. Each table is gifted with excellent servers ready to make sure your experience is top notch. Excellent wine options from all over the world. Menu is relatively small, but everything we've had from it has been amazing. We recently went for our 21st wedding anniversary and the staff presented us with champagne, piece of cake and a card made specifically for us! Dante, thank you for sharing this with Brownsville...a real treasure in my books!

During our travels this week, we had the pleasure of dining at Dodici Pizza + Wine in Brownsville. From the moment we stepped inside, we were met with exceptional service. The hostess warmly greeted us and led us to our table, making us feel right at home. Shortly after, our waitress arrived to walk us through the menu and daily specials. To top it off, the owner even stopped by to chat, sharing insights about the restaurant and suggesting other spots to check out while we were in town. The personal touch really elevated the entire experience. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. We decided to share a few items to sample more of the menu, and we’re glad we did. We started with a special appetizer: penne pasta with sausage, served with bread—simple but packed with flavor. Next, we had the Caesar salad, which offered a creative twist on the classic, hearty enough to stand alone as a meal. The soups of the day were a delightful surprise. The tomato bisque was smooth and comforting, while the chili, though excellent, felt a bit out of place with our Italian-themed meal. Still, it was undeniably tasty. Then came the highlight: a meatball sandwich and pizza. The sandwich, with its perfectly crusty-yet-soft bread and balanced tomato-spice meatballs, was easily the best I’ve ever had. As for the pizza, the combination of hot honey, spicy red peppers, and pepperoni was a revelation—a blend of sweet, spicy, and savory in every bite. We were thrilled to stumble upon such a gem on our short trip. I only wish we lived closer or visited Brownsville more often so we could dine here regularly. In fact, we’re even debating returning for dinner tonight before our flight tomorrow morning—we didn’t have time for dessert, and I’m already regretting it!

i stopped in after a long travel day and their pizza and wine selection was just what i needed! so so yummy and very fresh — you can even see the pizza oven right from your seat! i was nervous to eat alone, but the staff was so friendly — giving me recommendations and even chatting about football. i visited while in town for a spacex interview and they so kindly gave me a small arrangement of flowers to wish me luck on my big day — couldn’t ask for a warmer welcome. highly recommend grabbing some fresh pizza and a glass of wine any night of the week!

What a gem in downtown Brownsville! The meatballs were delish, the pizza was superb, and the tiramisu was a delight. And the service…excellent!

We had an amazing experience at Dodici Pizza & Wine in downtown Brownsville. From the moment we walked in, the rustic atmosphere and cozy decor made it feel warm and inviting. The staff was attentive, friendly, and even the owner was walking around greeting guests, which was a really nice personal touch. I started with the Beet Salad, which was absolutely delicious. The roasted beets, arugula, chèvre, and pumpkin seeds came together perfectly. I added hot chicken to it, which was seasoned and cooked just right. My friend ordered the Grilled Caesar Salad, and I was genuinely surprised at how much I enjoyed the flavor of grilled lettuce. It added a smoky twist that really worked. For pizzas, we tried the El Classico (which my three year old daughter loved), the Bravado with its incredible serrano crema, and the Carlito, loaded with a mix of meats and bold flavor. I paired everything with their red blend wine, which was the perfect complement to the meal. Their pizzas are cooked in a beautiful custom made brick oven, and you can actually see them being made right from your table, which adds to the experience. They also have a beautiful outdoor patio, lit with string lights and complete with fans and citronella tiki torches, perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxing night out. Overall, everything from the food to the atmosphere and the service was excellent. My family, my friends, and I all left very happy and impressed. We will definitely be coming back!

The food was delicious and had a pleasant time. I usually order take out but dining at the restaurant is wonderful. The meatballs, wine and pizza is always delightful. We order a few things and shared. Thanks to the staff for their friendliness.

Absolutely loved this place! Not only were the pizzas amazing (and the sweet burrata!), but the staff were absolutely incredible as well! We walked in with no reservation, and were given the option to sit in the courtyard; a super cozy, romantic setting. Our server, Hugo, was amazing. In casual conversation, we mentioned it was my wife’s birthday weekend and were out celebrating; well, not long after two of the owners, Trey and Dante, each came by to chat with us and wish my wife a happy birthday. A small gesture like that really made what was already an amazing night into a truly memorable experience! Highly recommend everything about this place!

La comida deliciosa, el servicio muy atento. El patio es bonito y el interior también. Solo que en el patio había moscas y fue algo incómodo por lo cual optamos por una mesa en el interior. Fuera de eso todo excelente.

Super recomendado. Es un lugar pequeño & acogedor. Tambien cuenta con patio para comer afuera. Hay mucha variedad en pizzas & en vino. Las pizzas están muy ricas y recién hechas en el horno. Los meseros son atentos & amables.

We had Dodici Mobile cater our wedding dinner, and they were amazing. Dante was so easy to work with. He was super helpful, full of great ideas, and willing to meet with us to make sure everything was just right. Best of all, it wasn’t your typical wedding food. Having their pizza was such a fun and refreshing change. It made the dinner feel more personal. On the day of the wedding, they served 200 guests quickly and smoothly. The food was incredible, which was expected. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. Dodici never misses (the restaurant and catering). If you’re planning an event, I can’t recommend them enough!

Our dinner at Dodici last night was fabulous (what else is new?), but what set our experience apart from our probably 60 other visits was the hospitality and warmth from the team serving us. Great place downtown to chill and eat delicious pizza. You will be transported to a small place in Rome. Perfect lighting, rustic look, and fantastic service. It is pricey but it is worth every penny. If you are poor, go to your usual Little Ceasars, this place is for the ones that carry a thick wallet.

Visiting Brownsville from South Carolina, this pizza place in downtown is amazing, best pizzas, great atmosphere, great service, best flavor! 100% recommend! I love how they’re renovating the downtown bringing great cuisine!

Great date night thanks to Dodici Pizza! Greeted and seated upon arriving, our Server Sofia was very attentive moving our table and helping us with drink selections, both immensely appreciated. We opted for the Carlitto and Mia Margherita pizza both had their unique flavor and both were amazing! We requested a crispy crust and char on pizza was perfect. Had a small party here. The restaurant is very niceand cozy and the staff were all amazing. Erick was incredibly helpful and accommodating for us the days leading up to the event and day of. The food was excellent and the night was incredible. Would highly recommend!!

Every time I go here I am amazed with how kind and knowledgeable the staff is. This is not an ordinary pizza restaurant. The staff pens the door for you, refills your drinks frequently, and is extremely educated on the wine and pizza they offer. Always an amazing experience. The management here clearly does a great job hiring and training employees that are capable and thoughtful.

Nice ambiance. The shade of the building gives the patio good shade. Oven brick pizza is great. I'd prefer a little crisper but I'm sure they'd accommodate if I asked. Paired with a sweet red wine and Cesar salad. I do plan to return.

Been here several times with friends. First, it's a bit pricey, but the quality of the food and wines is worth it. I've had the cheese and meat plate plus the caprese salad. My favorite pizza is the Manzo. The atmosphere is great both indoors and outdoors, however, be prepared for mosquitos outside (staff offers mosquito repellent). Staff is attentive, but if you are with planning to eat there with a friend, watch out for larger parties coming after you. A friend and I had to wait a while to get our check when a larger party showed up and our waiter forgot about us. Other than that, I recommend this place if you are in Brownsville.

I enjoyed Dodici. The establishment was quaint for being 2PM on a Friday. I had the meatballs with a glass of wine that was recommended by the server (not an avid wine consumer, so I was pleased that it was subtle and not too sweet) along with a personal size Bravado. The meatballs were a bit dry but the presentation of the plate was fine. I did also feel the bread was slightly stale. The Bravado was solid; a pepperoni pizza with spicy cream sauce swirled around the pizza garnished with basil. I really enjoyed the cream sauce, it conpliments the pizza well and also has a subtle spice, but nothing to make one break out sweating for. The service was great, I forgot the lovely young lady's name but she was the one with the braces. She was kind and helped me with any questions I had as it was my first visit. As I was unsure whether or not what wine to order, she let me sample the choice I ended up ordering. She made sure I well attended while not being intrusive with my dining experience. Ambiance was great, the decor is on the minimalistic side but everything is clean and orderly. Every table is adorned with farm fresh flowers, which I believe is a pleasant touch and I appreciate little details like that. Their huge brick oven is on one side of the restaurant but heat wasn't felt throughout the restaurant where I was sitting just a few tables away alongside the windows adjacent to Adams Street. I didn't take the opportunity to sit outside in the patio as it was a rather hot and humid day. Overall, my meal came out to $45 which I believe is on the pricier end. Of course, it's artisanal pizza, and while it was good I wasn't necessarily blown away for the money. I do however recommend Dodici's for a pizza dining opportunity not otherwise available in most pizza eateries in Brownsville.

I really liked it, overall it has a nice air and nice servers too, while the freshly made pizzas are lovely. I loved the kind of flour they use for the pizza and that the crust is very fluffy and crunchy on the outside. Nothing beats a freshly cooked pizza. My server mentioned a nice variety of wines, a few dessert (sweet) wines that I believe would pair well with some deserts, some Italian ones that I've never seen before. The Marco Bofonte Moscato is very sweet, and a bit sparkling, I'll highly recommend to pair it with a strawberry cheesecake. I couldn't on my first visit but I will next time, and check out the other interesting wines.

This is pizza perfection! There is nothing better (especially late at night). Great atmosphere, their service was great our waitress was very attentive. They also had a good selection of wines. Can't wait to return! I highly recommend!

Es la segunda vez que vamos La comida muy buena, la atención también muy bien. Lo único que no me gustó es que tienen un gato ahí, el problema es que lleve a mis 5 nietos 4 de ellos tienen alergia a los gatos, también mi hija tiene alergia a los gatos. Entonces fue un incomodo estar comiendo cuidando que el gato no se acercara a nosotros.

Overrated The pizza is not that good, some of the dishes are good though. The atmosphere is good so is the customer service. The place is nice. Something a little different but they should work on better quality pizza

This place has a good ambience. But the food on the other hand is a different story. I ordered a cheese plate and two different pizzas one was a Pepperoni and the other BBQ. The cheese plate was good other than they were stingy with the crackers, they gave only four crackers for the whole plate. The pizza is made on a Naan bread which is not what I was expecting. The bread was burnt and not that good. The pepperoni pizza was decent at best. The BBQ pizza lacked flavor and didn't have a BBQ taste. I gave it a generous three stars.

The vegan cheese was very tasty, the margarita pizza was very tasty. My only complaint was the crust was chewy but I really liked the vegan cheese . So I give it a 3.5 because the crust was too chewy. Not to be a hater you know just constructive criticism I hope. Everything else was great. I would also appreciate more shrimp on the pizza but it has great flavor.

Pizza chica! A beautifully restored downtown building with restored, wooden floors and a classic, open courtyard of the late 1800’s. However, the price of their fancy-named 7” pizzas (with extremely meager Toppings) is very disappointing. Wines must be from the top shelves for serving with an enormous glass that contains about 3 Ounces. Those prices may rival Paris or London. Ah yes, it’s a nice historic atmosphere and a great place to be seen, and don’t forget your name-brand clothing too.

Atmosphere is really nice and the waiters are friendly. The food is okay and small portion. I definitely think it’s over priced for the food that’s supposedly fresh. I ordered the cheesecake with strawberry sauce. It wasn’t good and it was warm.

My husband and I ordered takeout, something to note is that we were 5 minutes away at the Market Square. I stayed at the market square and my husband went to pick it up, by the time he got back (5 mins) the pizza was cold and hard, some pieces were burnt. The flavor was good but $18 for a cold pizza? I doubt we'll buy again.

I decided to give it a try after hearing not great reviews (pictures looked good) and I have to say I was very disappointed. Aside from service, everything was extremely underwhelming. So many other options in Downtown Brownsville.

Hostess was very unprofessional, they ignored us, we were told to give her a minute to make sure a table inside and we sat for 15 minutes before being told our seat was ready outside. We again said we preferred inside and were told they were all reserved. We left! She should have said that from the time we walked in. There were very few seats taken, most of the restaurant was empty.
