Love the food, love the customer service. Food never gets bored there always changing there menu.

Went for dinner and the wait was supposed to be 30 minutes. They got us (7 people) in within 10 minutes. Server was great. From the time we got to the table to the time we left. Very friendly and professional. Definitely going back. Food was great too.

Food is always great, my favorite will always be the salmon with bourbon glaze! Despite its name, it doesn’t taste like alcohol. But with the frozen margaritas, it sure does pair well! Service is okay but the food is what keeps me coming here. Yum!

I am so glad that we chose to eat here! There were a lot of people waiting, we were greeted right away with a friendly smile. The wait time was less than 5 minutes. We had a party of three. First off, the atmosphere was very welcoming. We were seated at a booth and our server Manny was wonderful! He had such a nice smile and he made sure our drinks were full and also was very attentive, stopping by to see if we needed anything else. We had not been to Cheddar's in some years due to an unfortunate situation that happened. We were so glad we went back! Let me tell, you the variety in dishes and food they have is excellent! I had the Dijon honey chicken and we was absolutely delicious! The cheese bites were absolutely delicious too! The croissants ARE THE BEST!!! We will definitely be returning soon and this is a must stop for anyone visiting the Brownsville area or for anyone that hasn't been here!! BIG THANK YOU TO OUR SERVER MANNY!!! Went to Cheddar's tonight. Tried the Maui Margarita drink. It was delicious. Sat at the bar and my spouse and I were attended well by Ms. Veronica( Bartender) We ordered the trio appetizer and it was so yummy. Thanks @ Cheddar's for a nice quick snack. PS: the croissants are too die for !!!

Everytime we visit Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen we dine at the bar. Vero is always great at attending to us and everyone else sitting at the bar. The food, drinks, and complimentary Honey Butter Croissants are always delicious! The restrooms are always clean. I recommend coming here to dine, drink, and even watch a Cowboys game!!

Best darned mashed potatoes! Unfortunately I had ordered the broccoli cheese casserole. Mind you, my wife had already ordered double mashed potatoes with her order. Just more mashed taters to love! P.S. Plastic cutlery is sturdy.

Don't waste your time in another restaurants, if you like flavor then just come to Cheddar's, even the pastas are better than Garden and it's less expensive, you just can't compete with it. The drinks are also awesome, for salty beverages I recommend the Grande Margarita, you only will need one for sure.

So thankful that the kitchen is back to a full menu. There’s nothing like sitting at the bar and talking to Vero, who is just the best person to have a conversation with. She’s great at recommending drinks and keeping a conversation going. Tonight I had the watermelon margarita and the chocolate martini 🍸 I also got some chips and salsa but the star of the show was definitely the watermelon margarita! It came with a big ol’ piece of watermelon and oh my stars~~~ amazing.

I've never been to Cheddar's before but I'll definitely be coming back.The prices were more than reasonable, the food was delicious and prepared just right ,and the service was second to none. I had the ribs and they literally fell off the bone and the broccoli casserole was awesome.

The food here is always good, my wife loves the New Orleans pasta and I really like the lemon pepper chicken & Dijon Mushroom chicken. We all love the croissants and their broccoli cheddar casserole. Their curbside pick up is very efficient. Just make sure you tip whatever you want to before as it saves time at the pick up.

I would go back. I will go back. Food was actually pretty good. Service was great. The ribs were very tender but needed seasoning.... still good. Chicken fried steak was nice. Again, season to taste needed. Good sides drinks, etc. Excellent service.

I love the way they pride in customer service making my this not just a regular restaurant but a place that feels like home. A place where where you can come from work relax, enjoy and indulge in the great tasting food always consistent. Never disappoints and I love the neatness of the place and most all the managers especially Veronica. She makes the difference in this restaurant. The way she represent cheddars and lives the values as how it should be in business. Also Cuddos to Sebastian Vela, a great bar tender always on point and food always on time tonight was perfection on so many levels Had a wonderful time and thank you. Family-friendly restaurant stop by and enjoy some delicious home made food. I had the Blackened Salmon it was cooked to perfection very soft, almost melts in your mouth, amazing! The Ribs are very delicious and tender the meat fell off the bone with no problem. Today, my son had the bacon cheeseburger as usual. Unfortunately, it was nasty he took a few bites, and right away was unable to continue eating it. My daughter had the chicken pasta, and she loved it! Most of the time, we can count on a great meal and a good time!

Great experience! Great date night idea! The dim lights help set the date mood. The waitress was attentive, kind, and considerate. On an average weeknight there is a 15 to 20 minute wait. This food will fill you up! The complimentary croissants have honey butter!!! Definitely looking forward to my next trip.

The highlight of last night’s visit was they dropped our food. Server was very attentive. Even though restaurant was packed, people were getting tables quickly on a timely manner. We got our croissants straight from the oven. They were delicious!!! Then we got our appetizer, it was good as always. Then the manager came to apologize because they dropped our food but they were already working on it. Asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. Thanks to the appetizer we were okay. Then they brought our food, which was good and portion size was way bigger than the usual. Again, the manager came to apologize once again and asked how we were doing and informed us we would get a discount because of the incident. We didn’t ask for anything. Customer service was exceptional. Those little details make a big difference and we will be back! We are humans, we drop things. Nothing wrong there. Could happen to any of us.

Decent dinner place!

Food was great, but service was lacking. The server only came by once to refill our drinks and we had to call for the server. After that we never saw the server again.

We sat at the table for about 20 min before sending our son to the host stand because no one came by our table. I saw a server walk by the table that did not look to happy. Ended up finding out it was towards the end of shift so he decided to ignore us rather than at least telling someone else if they could take care of us so he can go home. Cecilia ended up taking care of us after our original server ignored us but she did a great job so she is the reason for four stars and not lower.

Customer service was great and food was served fast. The only thing is my wife ordered a pain killer(drink) and it had a fly on it. They replaced the drink but did not comp.

Two stars- Waitress was on her game that night. Food was alright. I got a tortilla soup and chicken and shrimp salad. Only received four shrimps, chicken was rubbery. Four stars July 10th 2020. New review. My friends and I went after 6pm on July 10th. Our waitress was very nice and offered great service. There was an incident in which I won’t disclose, but the manager Tony took care of the situation and apologized.

Don't let the bad reviews on here keep you from this Cheddar's. It's always a roll of the dice whenever you go to a restaurant. Last night my gf and I had a wonderful meal here. My sirloin steak was better than the ones I've had at Longhorn Steakhouse and Texas Roadhouse in recent months. Seriously. The sirloin here was tasty and tender! Better than at those aforementioned restaurants. My gf's chicken fried chicken was great. The broccoli cheese casserole side was wonderful. My gf and I always rate our meals from 1 to 10. We gave this meal a 9. One of the best dinners we've had recently.

The food at Cheddars is well made, fresh, and great tasting. They also serve free homey butter croissants which are amazing. The only reason I knocked a star is that the water at this location was undrinkable. There is a very pronounced chemical taste which permeates any water based drink that they make from the tap. The service and atmosphere was great.

Good restaurant, very friendly and attentive staff. Quality of food was good. The Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds, Bread and Chips and homemade Queso and Salsa never disappoint. I must admit that the New Orleans pasta sauce had no flavor. The chicken and sausage were perfectly seasoned though. Lemon Pepper chicken dish was scrumptious and had a hearty portion.

I’m writing this as I am sitting on in the bar side. Booth by the door. I arrived and waited for a while. The device to order drinks from wouldn’t work. Until I grabbed a servers assistance and she said I had to order from one of them first. Which is fine. The server goes and asks the girl bartender a Margarita for me and she was loud and clear she was busy. I’m a bartender myself and let me say, if there’s time to mingle with the customers, there’s time to a make a simple drink. I see her catering to all male customers around me and obviously not so busy. The only reason I give this place a 3 and not a 1 star review, because of the great server. She went and made me the drink herself. Anyway, get better at making drinks or customer service girl. I’m not invisible as much as you wanted me to be

Unfortunately the restaurant was slightly filthy, the waiter inattentive, and the food was definitely poor. The wife and I split pork chops which were so tough they were hard to eat. But it was an extended family get-together and Cheddars was their choice, so we didn’t send the food back or complain about service or cleanliness to the management.

I got the Salmon over rice. It was good but a little bland. I still enjoyed. I only gave 3 stars due to the wait time. I ordered for pickup in advance. I got a text that it was ready. I left my place, stopped to get me some drinks and then headed to get my food. I got there and parked. I had to wait another 20 minutes before it came out. Don't worry, I'm all about second chances.

Usually it is very good, only once I had a bad experience with food, but that was years ago right after COVID, since then everything has been great.

Food was ok but not as i expected it could be that the service started out horribly...they walked us to a booth but when we requested a table they made us wait 20mins standing in the pathway until someone attending the table area would come in when they could easily just sit us at a table and we could of waited... so yeah disappointed right from the start ill give it another try eventually but not anytime soon!

We've been to many Cheddar's across the country and usually our visits are A++. We've visited this location twice in the past month. Sadly it doesn't make the mark. The food quality doesn't compare to other locations and the service is extremely slow. Waiting to be seated when 50% of the tables were empty seemed odd. The servers were polite.

1st time 4•25•25 was there the sandwich was just a ham & cheese to much bread nothing special. Tried it because of the hype. The meat loaf was a tad boring and dried not moist. The waiter was alright was fair, not the greatest but not the worst either. 2nd time abt 2days later 4•27•25 on a Sunday My mother brought us and it was the worst customers service mire than the last time like 2 days b4. Bottom line we all ordered waitress never ck, never asked if anything needed we kept flagging staff and got ignored not once but like 3X's. Your booths are so uncomfortable its horrible. Yall need new nice booths if i would have known I'd ask for a table with individual chairs. So yea very bad to be on a Sunday I just paid at my kiosk left review and still nothing will be solved. To many waitress/waiters nit attending and to much phones chit chatting forgetting abt clients. Where is management when you need them because they were no where to be found either.

Place is too loud. The flat iron steak was thick stuff and not done to what we ordered. No ribs. On menu but did not have any available.

One of the worst experience's from an upscale restaurant Bad from the start had to move from the table we were sat at. Waiter rushed us through our order, yet food took longer than expected to come out. Sodas had odd, bathroom cleaner taste and food was extremely bland. Staff not rude, just not as friendly as most. 1st and last time going to this chain.

We came here with high hopes just to be extremely disappointed! I ordered the spagsanaña and let me just say it was honestly gross. My husband got the steak, and the steak was ok. Our homemade one is better. The croissants were delicious, to be honest. It was the only thing that was good. The staff was pretty nice. They had a disgusting smell in the bathroom smelled like nothing but sewage! We won't be returning ever.

We were a party of 18, it was an unexpected reunion nonetheless the restaurant doesn't have available seating for unexpected large parties. The service was great and cant say the same for the food. I can speak for myself, I ordered the Shrimp Fettuccine Alfredo, my complaint was the shrimp was overly seasoned and had no flavor. Many of our guessed were very dissatisfied with their meals aswell.

Unfortunately the steak I ordered was tough and not cooked how I ordered it. I asked for medium and receive more will done. The wait staff never came by for 20 minutes due to attending other tables across the room.

Called to make reservations because we had about a 14 size party, a girl told me they don’t reservations but said she would let someone know with a note and as long as we were there they would seat us still quickly. Obviously that was a lie got there with everyone. Spoke to the hostess she was like I don’t see any notes and that they couldn’t accommodate us and would have to sit separately, plus we had to wait about 35-40 minutes in a empty damn restaurant. This was my first time at a cheddars I was not impressed and the fried food the party got was gross because it was used with old oil. But my waiter Jeremy was great!! We decided to go to Cheddars because we usually go to the one in McAllen. The service was great. However the food was not so good. I love Cheddars baby ribs, but these ribs were dry even tho it had BBQ, not just mine but my wife's as well. We wanted Mac n cheese for the kids and they ran out. Kitchen manager needs to do a better job.

This time around the meals were not that wow... my pasta was not up to par, chicken parmesan,also the other person that ordered the same as me,,too cold, sodas were flat, and my girlfriend’s steak and tender plate, tender had a hair in the breading, the other plates we ordered total 5 in my party , were not the usual Cheddar’s standards, so this birthday dinner was not too special.

On Feb 2 2024 around 7pm, Brownsville TX, I was having shrimp with fries which it was ok, the problem was at the end when I discovered the plate under the wrapper was a DIRTY BAKING PAN, not even a regular plate!!!. Server did not seem to know what to do or didn't care. I have picture of pan if someone wishes to see it.

I’m not one to speak negatively about my experiences at restaurants. But hope this restaurant can take this as constructive criticism!!! The management needs to work on its professionalism and cleanliness. I ordered a pasta with a side salad and had a bug in my salad. Spoke to the manager named Nicole but did nothing to remedy the issue!!!! The Kitchen staff needs to be better trained to handle food and to prepare it properly and the manager needs to know better on how to handle the guests. HORRIBLE!!! The food was horrible. The crossants were cold and not "melt in your mouth" like my experiences at the Houston and Beaumont locations. The queso dip was cold and pasty and the beef inside was clumped together like a meatball. The tea had a dirty water taste. The monster cookie was cold & stale. I had to send it back. When they made another it had an old, and burnt taste like they just put it in the microwave for too long. This was just disappointing.

I wanted to eat the steak bites to have a different option. Explain how they mixed liver in with the beef. Diagusting! Dont order that dish unless you want some steak bites and some liver. So upset☹️ I had to post.

Bought the chicken tenders family meal and at the middle of eating we noticed the tenders were black blue at the bottom, not to long after i immediatly got food poisoning (now I know because I went to the doctor the following day) it’s been 3 days and me and my toddler are sick from eating their food. It’s been horrible.

Was seated waited for 15 minutes and no waiter showed up, even after calling them thru the machine on the table! After leaving the waiters were talking and laughing on the entrance! Will not come again!

This is my 3rd time visiting this location because I love cheddar's, been to multiple locations. But this location.. i understand it being busy and what not . BUT IT WASNT. I watched about 5 waiters i think even managment walk by and not one bat an eye or asked if we needed anything. Why have an option to call waiter if no one comes ?? the service is almost non existent. On top of that no one knows how to make a medium rare steak Each visit the steak was raw, not just mine but my husband's too. However when you order medium it comes medium rare ?? Won't be visiting this location again. Gave 3 chances all absolute trash.

I had to give all ones as i didn’t get an opportunity to order. I tried to order online and it kept glitching and it wouldn’t allow me to finish my order. I called and was left on hold for over 7 minutes! The hostess ( who needs phone training stat), upon explaining I’ve been on hold, showed zero empathy, proceeded to mumble something and put me on hold AGAIN!! At this point I decided to disconnect as the service was already terrible and it just made me not want to eat there or try and redeem my birthday treat. The comfort food is good, but i wouldn’t know as i couldn’t make it past the high school hostess to order. Absolutely maddening and really have zero desire to visit this location again , and this is from someone who is a repeat customer. Absolutely appalling service. Train your people or hire more people to handle a call at 9 pm!!! Not lunch not 7 pm, but 9 pm!! Terrible terrible terrible!!!!

I'm not one to give bad reviews, but c'mon, man! I explained that I was on a sugar-free diet, and I ordered a ribeye with 6 grilled shrimp and got a ribeye with little to no sear and was overcooked. The shrimp came on a bed of rice that i didn't ask for and a sugary dip that spilled all over the shrimp and my steak. I also had to get up to get my drink refilled. Didn't complain there or ask for my food to be redone or refunded because I know how some of these cooks are when they have to redo your food. And the way the service was there's no way I'm trusting cheddar with my food. I'm never going there again. I hope you don't either!
