Yummy yummy. Reynosa/Matamoros style tacos. So freaking good! I did feel everything needed salt (I usually do not put salt on food). But I would absolutely be back. The lemonade was very enjoyable.

been going to ultimo taco for years. one of the best taco places. They are open late and for the most part, always fresh. I usually order coca cola Mexicana, limonada, frijoles especiales, bistec tacos, tripa Dorada, or the pirata tacos. I have gone for all time frames and they are always busy. I have taken visitors from out of state and the place always impresses. back in the olden days, it was known as the fight club after midnight lol. Curbside ordering is pretty quick. I've called several times and they either don't answer or put you on hold and never return. they are very efficient for delivery drivers as well. Overall, it's a great place. One of the only complaints I have is they only have 1 restroom for men and one for women. lol

Best tacos in RGV. Every time we come to the valley Ultimo Taco is a must have. Service is great, the beans and tacos are the absolute best.

AMAZING.!!! DELICIOUS FOOD, great kind and patient employees. Exceptional service and food… don’t go at night though. 😂😭 We came all the way from Idaho with Ultimo taco on our bucket list. More than satisfied but giving 4 stars because our tripa was wayyyy crispy that it was basically pork jerky. Love coming here every Christmas break

Came here with some co-workers after work and we ordered tacos and a gordita. the lady was nice at first and offered us some frijoles as an appetizer and everything was good but then we never saw her again. Our food came out and we need refills and no one came to our table. Finally a different server saw that we needed something and gave us a refill. after that we had to ask for everything because our server was no where to be found and the one time we saw her she was on her phone. Other than that the food was a 10/10 and super fresh. Complements to the chef!

Tacos can be sold individually or by the order which comes out to be the same $ . The order doesn’t include beans. Everything is sold separately. The meat was cold but the tortillas were warm. So they probably chop the meat to make tacos ahead of time. Thankfully the grilled onions were warm and fresh. They offer 3 different salsas, red green and habanero. But my batch was not spicy. I was surprised the habanero salsa wasn’t spicy. But again it could have been my batch only. They do not have iced tea as well. The place is super loud so you can’t talk comfortably. Parking is tight as well. The corner location makes it a little hard for parking. The to go tacos come with salsa as well.

Ultimo Taco is one of those spots that’s built its reputation on consistency, speed, and no-nonsense tacos. It’s not fancy, but it doesn’t need to be—people go for the tacos, and they deliver. The tacos are well stacked, so you get your money's worth. The bistek is probably their best taco in my opinion —juicy, flavorful, and with a nice bit of char. Tripas are solid if you like them crispy. Some of the other meats can be hit or miss depending on the day—sometimes a little dry, sometimes spot-on. The salsa is legit spicy, which I like, but it can catch you off guard if you're not ready. The tortillas are basic, nothing special, but they get the job done. I really do like their special beans, full of flavor and with good amount of cheese and meat. The place is somewhat always busy, especially late at night. But you will always find a place to sit. You can dine inside or outside if you prefer. Overall: not perfect, but reliable. If you're from the area or just passing through, it's worth a stop.

This place is great for tacos, but it is always packed. The seating area inside is tight and small, so if you don't like feeling elbow to elbow with the other customers, you can sit outside or get it to go. I recommend to go. But be warned. The food to go is usually smashed together and not as pretty to look at as when you dine in. The service is great. The limonada is so delcious. But I don't like the drinks that you can't get refills. You have to pay for a new drink each time. That's with all the drinks since the sodas are cans. But the tacos, tortas, chalupas, and quesadillas are so good. You can get a quesa birria torta or taco. The best!!! You have a great option of meats and a variety of tacos served on corn or flour tortillas in various ways. You can't go wrong with any item on the menu, and they are open until 2am!! Even better for those late nights.

We are from Mission Tx but when we are near or in the Brownsville area we make a stop at The Ultimo Taco and it never fails to Have a full restaurant. The atmosphere is not too great, since it’s always packed and the place is too small, you feel like you are stuffed and don’t have alot of room. The Service is the same, waitress comes takes your order but almost feels rushed and she comes off as rude at times. When she brings your food you never see her again, and then they expect tip. And the food is good depending on what you order, the tripa tacos are almost always salty and so are the Al Pastor. Thank you

Great food. Great tacos, but the staff is the rudest people you can ever meet. They treat you like if you’re a bother for walking in. I’ve even had separate waiters come up to me sarcastically asking if I need something else when I can’t get the attention of the first, simply because they’re busy talking. It’s best to order to go, unless there’s a light rain in which case they’ll make sure they ignore you.
