Recently stopped here for breakfast with my brother and nephews. They offered great selection of tacos with all the expected filling options along with a nice menu of other items. Brother had the migas with corn tortillas and he really enjoyed them. The nephews and I had breakfast tacos with ham, egg and cheese. Flour tortillas were homemade with the perfect fluffy texture! Eggs were freshly Scrambled and delicious and accented with tasty ham and white cheese! They also offer bottle coke from Mexico (with cane sugar!) Seating inside and out, kid friendly, and friendly, fast service. We will be back!
Food was fresh and very flavorful. The asada meat was very tender and the pastor meat was seasoned very well. I ate the street tacos and found a great flavor. The inside seating is very limited. The outside seating was nice and shaded, not too bad if the weather is decent. The salsas were flavorful, but most are pretty hot for my mild tongue.
Great tasting barbacoa, al pastor, and beef tacos. I've included a pic of what was left of my barbacoa plate after I already ate 3 tacos.. definitely large portions. People are friendly, place was clean, and excellent value on the food. Only knock on atmosphere was the loud sounds from the fans. In summary, great place to stop.
I love this place. They have the biggest burritos I ever seen and it is delicious.
Best kept secret in Brownwood😎 I love their Asada Tacos, great flavor and tons of meat!!! I've never been disappointed with any food they have!

Me and my husband stopped in for breakfast. The food was amazing and the workers are nice and friendly. I had the asada street tacos and they were probably the best I ever had. The beans were so good too. He had sausage egg burritos and said they were delicious. This is definitely going to be my new go to place.
I call ahead and my food is ready! Drive thru is quick as well but sometimes busy. The line is always moving and the people are nice. There is outside dining as well. I like these tacos the most in Brownwood.
Wow! I don't know why I hesitated going to this restaurant until today. (12/302020) At first I could not figure out why and independent Taco Place would open a restaurant across the street from Taco Bell. But wow!!! This place is in another league! Like, not even close!!! I got their Steak Fajita Street Tacos and I was blow away with the authenticity and flavor! Frankly, I can't wait to go back. My only suggestion is that they put up a menu on the building and/or print up some ToGo menus so I can "study" it before I go back. GREAT food, GREAT service, friendly staff. I highly recommend this place. THANK YOU!!!!
Oh my goodness! Had a brisket burrito that was chopped full of what seemed like half a pound of meat. Yes it was a great yummy mess for under $5. Can't beat that with a stick folks! Next visit gonna see about them street tacos. Can't wait.💯👌
Hands down beat tacos I’ve had in west Texas! Really good flavor. I’m a vegetarian and Brenda was extremely accommodating. I had tacos with spicy potatoes and all the fixings. My son had the asada tacos and said “he couldn’t stop eating.” 5 stars. A must have if you’re in the area🙌🏻
We go through Brownwood when traveling to the panhandle and never stopped for breakfast until recently. Wow!!! Food actually had flavor, most places lack even putting a little salt and pepper…. Spicy potatoes were amazing. We found our place to stop from now on.

The green salsa was fresh and tasty. I got a burrito with eggs, potatoes, bacon and cheese. It was delicious!
Food is good but a lot of times they get the order wrong. Spicy potatoes vs non spicy potatoes is a huge difference... their prices have also gone up to a ridiculous amount for a burrito... like seriously 7 bucks for a burrito is crazy
Good place for breakfast tacos or plates. If you plan on eating inside just know it's a little warm but they have fans circulating the air so it helps.
Wow I can only testify to the breakfast plates. They are so good and huge portions. I had the chorizo and egg plate with corn tortillas beans and spicy potatoes all of it was excellent.

Food is delicious! The place is always clean. Prices are great too. Customer service could be a little friendlier… I’ve been there many times and they seem kinda annoyed or shy maybe. I recommend this place if you want real Mexican menu not a Tex-Mex joint 👍🏻

I tried their street tacos and I wasn't very impressed. The are good, but there are much better ones in town... Just not sure I am allowed to mention competitors within this review. Also, after reading the other reviews I don't think I would want to try the burrito just because they said they were huge. I have had enough of excessive oversized food for a lifetime, and it's mostly just so they can drive the price up when it's mostly cheap filler food like the potato instead of the meat. I am not saying that is how these burrito are made, but I don't need the extra calories no matter how they come.

I'm conflicted here The place is absolutely clean. Nice vibe. But the cooks , both of them used no gloves. They touched the food constantly with their bare hands. Both the uncooked food and the just grilled food. For instance, the man that was boxing about 5 or more burritos using what looked like ground beef, was using his fingers to spread the meat on the burritos. He also handled the tickets with the written orders ( read them, rearranged them down further ) then put his hands right back on the burritos and the meats . They both left the counter at some point yo get more of stock ( maybe onions ?) But came right back and never washed their hands in any way and went right back to cooking the food. This place is a germ and bacteria resort . If you have any any food allergies , this is not yr spot . They are nice but wow . And be sure to ask for salt and pepper because mine was bland. The eggs cooked hard .The fries could have cooked a little more to some shade of brown as you can see as well. I will not be going back. The parking lot is nice and big. Clean outdoor area to sit in and watch traffic as you eat . The workers just need some lessons on food safety and some gloves . I just cant see handling all that bare handed . Sonic breakfast burritos , I should have never left you ....

I’ve only been once and I got a bacon and bean burrito. It was pretty good but not for $9. The top of the burrito was loaded with bacon and the rest of the burrito didn’t really have any. The lady at the window was extremely rude. Being our first time we asked what kind of salsa they had and she just walked away without saying anything, handed us the green sauce said “we only have green and red” and shut the window in our faces. The entire interaction she was like that. Like she couldn’t be bothered with what we had to say even though we’re literally there to buy their food? Happy Mother’s Day to whoever you are. Hope your day gets better but I won’t be wasting my money on your crappy service and over priced food. Juniors in Comanche is cheaper, burritos are bigger and loaded with the meat you choose, and they’re not hateful to their customers.

Do not stop here unless you literally have 20 to 25 minutes to wait for a one burrito. Order Topeka deal with beans and cheese did not get the beans or the cheese still had to pay for it only one small container of hot sauce so I asked for a couple of extra and it took another five minutes. The burritos at The Stripes are better way faster and a lot cheaper
