We did the multi-course taster menu so we could try a bit of everything. It was delicious! There is a reason why this place has won so many awards. It’s romantic, open air, has great service. Rodolfo & Christian took care of us and were charming. Well done!

We recently discovered a wonderful fine dining gem in Bucerías, and it was an absolute delight! A quick heads-up for navigation: Apple Maps directs you to a spot about two blocks west of the actual restaurant, so keep a close eye out as you approach the area. Everything we ordered was exceptional. I'm typically not a hummus fan, but the one my granddaughter chose was hands-down the best I've ever tasted—creamy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The steak was cooked to perfection, paired beautifully with roasted potatoes and tender baby corn. The highlight, though, was the spectacular Baked Alaska: a dramatic tableside presentation with flaming brandy that lit up the evening and made for such a memorable finale. Highly recommend this spot for a special night out!

An incredible dining experience. We were a large group and got the 5 course tasting menu. The portions aren't large but all of us left satisfied. Food was delicious, service impeccable and drinks were creative and tasty. If you're looking for a elevated fine dining experience this fits tje bill.

A wonderful spot for my husband’s birthday dinner. Everything was great but what particularly stood out was the service- friendly, kind, professional, attentive, and pulled out a couple unexpected extras to help us celebrate, even ordered us a taxi for us when we left. The food was excellent and full of flavor, our favorites were the crudo and suckling pig. This is certainly a pricey night out but given our special occasion, the food, ambiance and service it was well worth it.

I was so excited to try this one, we absolutely love Cafe des Artistes so we had high expectations.. and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is stunning, the staff are all extremely attentive and knowledgeable. And the food was incredible. Perfect spot for a date night or a celebratory meal!

Dining here was a delightful treat! Fantastic food and service and a lovely atmosphere. We enjoyed the warm oysters with leeks, the grilled red snapper, the fantastic wines and mezcal martini. Hope to be back there again soon!

The best dinner we had in the area. Outstanding service, atmosphere and elevated decor sets the tone for an amazing meal. The La Casa staff are all incredibly perfect at their jobs - from the lovely hostess to our waiter, Gerrardo and assistant Emiliano. Everyone did an excellent job and their timing and attentiveness was spot on. The food is next level! We had the snapper and the short rib, which were both delicious. The heirloom tomato appetizer was a great light starter. And the perfect finale was the baked Alaska for dessert. 10/10 !!!

We had red snapper entree and chicken entree… red snapper was tasty and flavorful…cauliflower on the side was wonderful…. The chicken was good, not notable, but also tasty. (I would rather have had a boneless option rather than bone-in but that’s a preference for me) The frothed peas that came with it were very flavorful… also ordered a side of Lentils Cassoulet which was very good… one of our party ordered the garlic side dish which was intriguing….. An interesting combination of flavors! Overall experience here was enjoyable!! The wait staff /servers are accommodating and helpful and very kind. The ambience is amazing and I’m glad we tried it. Gerry was our waiter and was amazing… he took very good care of us and answered our questions.

Update. Another visit 6/10/25. Third time at this location is a charm and just as delicious and more as previous visits! Complimenty fruit gazpacho from the chef was so refreshing and tasty. Aguachile, Beef Fillet, Heirloom Tomatoes Salad, Organic Chicken, Baked Alaska Sorbet and Pear Tart were outstanding! Las Palmas and Coco drinks were so good. Service from Rodolfo and Christian was perfect. Best upscale restaurant in Bucerías. Muchas gracias Chef Vanessa Blouet. Muy, muy, bueno comida! Update. 1/24/25. Now our 4th visit to Blouet establishments. Back to La Casa for hubby birthday. Tried some new dishes this time. Red pepper soup, catch of the day ceviche, and the shrimp entree. Everything was deliciously prepared with that special touch and great flavors. Awesome service by Gerry. This is the third Thierry Blouet fine dining restaurant we have had the pleasure to visit! Service was excellent. Food and drinks were outstanding. Try the house Tequila blanco. Very tasty. Decor and ambiance was welcoming. Location, building and parking was good. Had a delicious squash starter, compliments of the chef. Crusty, tasty fresh bread. Perfect for soaking up the juices and sauces! All the items we had were excellent, from appetizers to desserts. Be sure to check out the terrace where their fresh herbs, plants and flowers are grown. Comfy furniture to sit and have an aperitif or just relax.

A new French restaurant (2 months) in Bucerias. We reserved for 4 and were very impressed with the venue, service and quality of food! Our waiters Enrique and Chris were very helpful and courteous. I had the snapper which was excellent and my wife had the suckling pig which she enjoyed very much. The food, service and venue were by far the best we have experienced in many years of coming to Bucerias! Well done, we will be back!

Extraordinary Evening. One of my best Evening in Bucerias, and I Live here. From the moment I walked in the Manager Raul immediately greeted us and offered us a great table without reservations. Also our staff was amazing, Gerry the lead waiter was remarkable, including the excellent wine recommendation. Gracias Gerry. We got the Steak, Fish, octopus and Pork belly, everything was cooked perfectly. A must when visiting the Cute town of Bucerias. Casa

La Casa is, without question, the best dining experience in Puerto Vallarta—by far the best in the entire bay. The food is exquisite: a masterful fusion of international flavors with authentic Mexican cuisine, creating what I can only describe as “Mexican world cuisine.” Every dish is crafted with creativity and precision, and we’ve tried them all—we keep coming back every week because it’s just that incredible. The service is superb. The staff are attentive, kind, and thoughtful, paying attention to every detail and making you feel truly cared for. The architecture and atmosphere are phenomenal. The space preserves the charm of an old-school building, but it’s been remodeled with such elegance and taste that I can’t help but admire the vision of the architect behind it. On the rooftop, they even cultivate their own herbs, which are used in their recipes—an amazing touch of freshness and authenticity. This is not the cheapest place in town, but if what you want is the best dining experience in Puerto Vallarta, La Casa is it. Every visit feels unforgettable.

Thank you Gerry and Cristian! Wonderful service and excellent communication. We had a wonderful experience there for my boyfriend’s birthday.

From appetizer through dessert, every dish was creative and most delicious. We started with well balanced cocktails. I forgot to take a picture but I had the cocktail with Raicillas, so good. Before the heirloom tomatoes appetizer we were given an incredible watermelon/goat cheese sauce palette cleanser. The house baked bread was yummmEEEE! Our main entree was red snapper for 2 and I can't figure out the precise seasoning but it was perfect. With many years of experience, the service is impeccable. Gerry and Javier were our delightful servers, couldn't have been better. We felt very welcome. All of this truly amazing since the restaurant was only open a week on our first visit. The restaurant atmosphere is so very elegant. We look forward to coming back for cocktails on the patio upstairs.

The food was fantastic. The Arugula lime salad was wonderful and the chicken entree with pea, ginger sauce and chorizo was one of the better chicken dishes I've had. Fresh peas, ginger sauce, smokey chorizo and pineapple all complimented the chicken very well. The service was okay, the restaurant had only been open for 1 month so I'm sure the finer details during service will improve.

The food and atmosphere are unbelievable! we have tried Thierry Blouet’s restaurants in PV (Cafe Des Artistes) and in Punta Mita (Tuna Blanca) and this one is by far our favorite. The food is all unique and delicious. Plus fair prices for a fine dining experience. Highly recommend!

We walked by the restaurant (La Casa) last week while exploring Bucerias. After discovering it was a Thierry Blouet (via daughter Vanessa) and had just opened recently, we had to try it out. Having dinned at Café des Artistes in PV, in the past, our expectations were high. Vanessa and staff (Gabriel and Daniel were our primary table hosts) were fantastic! Gabriel was a pleasure and talked through the menu with us effortlessly and with genuine pride. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed yet upscale while maintaining that "at home" feeling. You could feel Vanessa's creative side flowing through the many flavors we tasted. The mussels were fantastic, the broth worthy of a second loaf of bread to dip. The ratatouille is a must. The oysters with candied leek and buttery air are an example of her unique combinations that tickle the palate. The onion tart is bursting with flavors. The arugula lemon capers side dish (presented like a sharable salad) was refreshing and delightful. The char-grilled red snapper was a beautiful presentation, and the sauce served with it is a must-have combination. The sucking pig melted in your mouth with a sweet potato purée and sauce that blended together perfectly. The pear tart was a warm finish, and the chocolate flan with the rice cloud provided the perfect finish to complement the meal. Overall, the evening was a dining experience we will chalk up as one of our favorites in the 30 years we have been coming to Puerto Vallarta - Nuevo Vallarta - Bucerias area. Props to Vanessa and staff! La Casa is a must visit up scale dining experience in the quaint Bucerias local. Brennan

My husband and I are regular visitors at THIERRY BLOUET'S restaurants! We never miss Valentine's Day at Café de Artiste... This year we added La Casa to our list of Restaurants and ended up visiting three times during our two week stay ! We had guests with us and each and every time all of our appetizers, entrées and desserts or unique and superb!! By the third visit, staff treated us like family… Will be back in 2026 for more great meals and hospitality! Upon our third visit, we even were introduced to VANESSA BLOUET ... She is friendly and Very devoted to making Lacasa a huge success in Bucerias!

An exceptional choice for high-end dining in Bucerias. Well trained and solicitous waitstaff. An interesting, eclectic menu that showcases a lot of quality local influences and ingredients. The artichoke and garlic appetizers were great. The mussels were some of the freshest and sweetest I have eaten. The staff is very responsive to food allergies.

Looking for a date night spot to impress? You need to try La Casa. The food was well portioned, beautifully plated, and fresh with herbs picked from the beautiful garden upstairs. Gabriel and the entire staff were excellent hosts! Even though there’s no view of the ocean, you don’t miss it in their cozy upscale atmosphere. La Casa is our favorite restaurant in Bucerias and we can’t wait for a reason to go back!

What a joy to eat here! Everything was top-notch from the service, to the presentation, to the quality of the food! We were a party of eight there for my mother‘s 80th birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make it special for her. We tried a variety of dishes. Everybody ordered an appetizer, meal and dessert. +2 bottles of wine. We were lucky enough to try multiple items due to my family being willing to share and try one another’s food. When the bill came, we were so shocked that we received this quality of service and food for that price! There’s no way you could have paid that little in the United States and receive this type of quality. We are definitely making a point to come back before the end of our trip. Incredible experience overall!

We ate here a few nights ago, and my wife and I both agree that it is one of the very best dining occasions that we have ever experienced. The couple that we were with also agreed. This carried through from our warm welcome, a friendly drink at the bar and the dining experience itself. A warm atmosphere in a cheery environment. Our meals were excellent, and we all enjoyed the food, which, of course, the most important thing. Thank you to the staff and we look forward to seeing you again. we highly recommend.

An Unforgettable Tasting Menu Experience We recently experienced the tasting menu at La Casa by Thierry Blouet, and every moment was divine. Each course was masterfully crafted, blending refined technique with bold, expressive flavors. The dishes felt both innovative and grounded, elevated yet deeply satisfying. The ambiance is elegant and warm, with thoughtful touches that make the space feel intimate without losing its sense of occasion. Service was impeccable, attentive, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. This wasn’t just a meal. It was a culinary journey that left a lasting impression. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates world-class food and genuine hospitality. We’ll be back.

Simply amazing. One of the best dinners I’ve ever enjoyed. We ordered 12 courses (2 different tasting menus and 2 sides). Everything was fresh, light, innovative and incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is surprisingly stunning given its location, and the staff were attentive and caring. This is Michelin star good at an affordable price. We will be back often.

Non-pretentious fine dining by the well-known chef Thierry and his genius daughter. Some of the options are vegan, and the drinks are great!

La Casa by Thierry Blouet is hands down my favorite spot in Bucerías. The place has such a beautiful, cozy vibe, and the food is absolutely outstanding. Service is always top-notch! Big thanks to Rodolfo Cristian for making my last visit extra special. Definitely one of the best restaurants in town!

The prettiest little restaurant I’ve ever set foot in. Attentive staff, lovely menu, perfect presentation. We had the tomato salad, roasted garlic, roasted potatoes, organic chicken, and the snapper.

Had a lovely meal here with my family, my wife and I both did the five course dinner so that we could try both options for each course. The bell pepper soup, octopus, and red snapper were standouts, but everything was very well executed. The cocktails and wine pairings were also excellent. Rodolfo was our primary server, he was funny and warm giving great recommendations and explanations of the dishes. Definitely a gem, and worth the trip to Bucerias.

Absolutely the best dining experience we have had on our trip. Great neighborhood in Bucerias, amazing food, and great staff. The steak was fantastic, wine was great too. We tried a local Cabernet based on the server's recommendation. It didn't disappoint.

Have owned in Nuevo Vallarta since 2017. Live in the Midwest. One of the best Filet Migon I have had. Definitely the best steak in this end of town. Service and atmosphere to be expected from a Thiery Blouet restaurant. If you are looking for upscale in Bucerias this is your place. Would definitely recommend. Adding it to one of our regular stops in Bucerias

If you get a chance, treat yourself to this wonderful restaurant in Bucerias! It starts with a great atmosphere. Gerry, Christian, Javier and the rest of the wait staff were awesome and the food was spectacular. We will make this a regular stop when we are at our place in Paradise Village! We highly recommend it!

We celebrated Mother’s Day at La Casa. The entire experience was exceptional. My husband said it was one of the best restaurant meals of his life (and we lived in NYC for 15 years with plenty of amazing dining experiences). Our servers Rodolfo and Cristian were just the right amount of attentive. The food presentation was a work of art. The flavors of our dishes were rich and complex. Can’t recommend it enough. To have a restaurant of this caliber in Bucerias is a gift.

S

A beautiful fine dining experience with some real highs—but at twice the cost of any other meal on our trip, and a reputation in the area the bar was set very high. The restaurant and service were absolutely top-notch, and the setting made the evening feel special. The food at times blew us away—especially the jocoque, onion tart, and table bread, which were all exceptional. Other dishes, like the artichoke and ratatouille, felt just okay by comparison. Desserts (enoki forest cake and corn ice cream) sounded creative but were underwhelming in execution. As vegetarians, we were thrilled by the number of thoughtful options, which is rare and very appreciated. Still, for the price, we expected to be consistently delighted. Overall: a wonderful evening in a fantastic setting, but with some unevenness in the food that kept it from being truly unforgettable.

B
Brenda Yareli Carreón Ruvalcaba

The restaurant is top notch, very beautiful house they built! The food is always a great experience as the Cafe des Artistes, service was good, I just found funny when the servers give you attitude when you tell them you’re not drinking alcohol ( Enrique told my friend: are you crazy? When he said he wasn’t drinking). Me and my sister had some drinks though. So…

M
Martin Gimenez

We would’ve given this a 5 star except for: a) chicharrón that comes with the pulled pork (lechón) was not edible and b) vinaigrette for the artichoke was flavorless and too flat, c) hummus no flavor, a bit flat. This is constructive criticism. The overall experience was superb. Pulled pork was outstanding. Sea bass amazing Artichoke as good as it gets Sea bass was fresh and great taste Potatoes and garlic appetizers incredible.

N
Nicole Faghin

I was disappointed in the quality of the food and the environment after a lovely meal at the sister restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. While food presentation and service were generally good to high quality, the food flavors were unremarkable.

C

I had high expectations for this new restaurant in Bucerías, but the experience was almost comically bad and unprofessional. Given the chef’s reputation from Café des Artistes, this was shocking. And based on this visit, I’d be very hesitant to try his other restaurants. The décor is pleasant and the hostess was warm. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We ordered a French rosé by the glass and were served glasses filled maybe 25%. When we politely asked for a bit more (at $215 pesos per glass), they added what felt like a teaspoon and spilled wine on the tablecloth in the process 😂 Epic fail The complimentary appetizer was walnut-sized: a strange gelatinous strawberry-goat cheese bite that tasted like Philadelphia cream cheese and jam. My octopus appetizer was fine, but the cherry tomato tart was so bad we sent it back (thankfully not charged). Mushy crust, shriveled tomatoes. Not good. Bread service was laughable: a tiny piece of hard sourdough with cold butter dusted in something resembling volcanic ash. For an upscale French-Mexican restaurant, this was embarrassing. I’ve had better butter at IHOP. The duck confit came with about one tablespoon of sweet potato purée and a heavy mole that clashed badly with the dish. Fusion can be great. This wasn’t. The worst dish by far was the red snapper. My 75-year-old mom just wanted a simple grilled fish. Instead, she got something mushy and bland that tasted boiled, with a liquified cayenne pepper sauce and three limp asparagus stalks. Her $200-peso “potato casserole” side was a metal cup of soggy gray baby potatoes. Are you kidding? Dessert didn’t redeem anything. The menu descriptions were confusing (“Pear Tart Chocolate Fresh”?) and the server couldn’t explain them beyond “very good, very good.” The strawberry dessert had maybe two paper-thin strawberry slices, a stale scone, a dollop of ice cream, and random pink meringues. No gracias! Service was well-meaning but inexperienced, nearly pouring water into a wine glass, hovering awkwardly once they realized we were unhappy, and struggling to explain dishes at a restaurant clearly targeting an international crowd. To top it off, a smoky birthday candle from the next table filled our faces with smoke. Final bill: $179 USD for bad food and what amounted to one glass of wine total. I rarely write reviews, but this felt like an emperor’s new clothes situation. Poor execution across the board and a disappointing reflection on a well-known chef’s brand. This place needs serious work.
