Oh man the food was amazing! Highly recommend the platter that has all the meat combinations. It was about $150 but worth it b/c it had very good size portions, deliciously cooked meats, 2 sides, and our family of 5 even had leftovers. We also tried the empanadas which were delicious and reasonable in price. Their dessert that was some coconut custard with strawberry sauce was amazing and worth ordering!!! Servers seemed spread thin and initial wait was a bit long, so that could be better, but would definitely come again to get the meats!
Service is very perfect and nice. The vibe here is so beautiful and fancy. The food is also really delicious !!
My cousin who frequently comes here recommended us to try this new restaurant for us as we are from the east cost the service Anni our waitress was great and kind and helpful. The food was excellent and the drinks were made well especially the tequila well done . Kudos to kitchen staff and chef 🙏🙌
Awesome first (& won't be last!) experience at Gaucho Grill! Wife & I felt like some Argentine meats & since we've only passed by Gaucho Grill but never been, decided why not tonight? I'm a craft beer guy and knowing Gaucho has beers specifically brewed, was certainly a plus. ;) We didn't make reservations, but the wait felt it was under 10 mins which was all good.. Nice checking out the kick back atmosphere anyway (marketplace, the wood fire, TV monitors). Annie was our waitress and was friendly, courteous & on top of everything. For drinks, I was really eyeing their Gaucho West Coast IPA but they were out so I went with the Hazy IPA & my Wife with the blond. Did not disappoint! Nice, fresh cans in pints. Delicious, cold, hoppy & crisp beers (already wanting to go back hoping the WC & double will be available next time we go). We decided on the half parrillada since we wanted to sample a couple of meats and went with veggies on the side. Great choice. All delicious, juicy and on point cooked to perfection (medium for us). For the two of us, the amount of meats were perfect, but ordered an extra side of rice. Didn't finish all the meats, so extra yum yum for our to-go box! Loved the different sauces/oil for the bread we got in the beginning (and we put some in our meats & drizzling some on our rice too). Mmmm Thanks Annie for being so attentive & nice! Keep it up Gaucho in the delicious foods & craft beers! Will be back! Great experience! Cheers!
I've been hearing about this place for a while. I decided to check it out. I had the waygu tomahawk. It was cooked to perfection! If you're looking for a good steak this is the place for you.
Service was great, Gaston was our server and was very attentive. Helped pair wine with our meal and explained the menu options thoroughly. The reason for the 4/5 stars on food is that the NY steak came medium when we requested Medium Rare. Other than that everything else tasted great. Our wonderful sever even sent us with Fresno sauces in our togo bag. Will be coming back again whenever I'm in town.
If you’re in the mood for a proper Argentine feast with a modern twist, Gaucho Grill hits the sweet spot. The place has a sleek, rustic-meets-contemporary vibe — wood accents, cozy leather seating, and a deli-style counter stocked with goodies that make you want to take half the restaurant home. Food: The complimentary bread service is a fantastic start — warm, crusty slices served with chimichurri, olive oil, and a tangy pepper relish that sets the tone for what’s coming. I went with the lunch special (a solid $35 for three courses), starting with an empanada that was flaky on the outside and packed with flavorful beef inside. For the main, I chose the skirt steak with fries. The steak was nicely charred, seasoned just right, and paired perfectly with the crispy, garlicky fries. It’s the kind of dish that makes you nod after each bite. I didn’t make it to dessert this time, but the Dulce de Leche flan on the menu looks too good to skip on my next visit. Drinks: The beer arrives in a frosty mug with the Gaucho logo — simple but classy. It’s the perfect complement to the smoky flavors coming off the grill. Ambiance: The interior is warm and inviting, with an upscale yet approachable feel. The deli counter and market section add a cool, authentic touch. Outdoor seating is a plus on a sunny day, and there’s plenty of parking (always a win). Service: Friendly, attentive, and on point. Our server made sure everything was timed perfectly, and the food arrived hot and fresh. Overall: Gaucho Grill is an excellent choice if you’re craving bold flavors, great steak, and a relaxed dining experience. The lunch special is a great deal, and the regular menu is stacked with tempting options like milanesas, pastas, and seafood. Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ (4.5/5) – Worth a return visit for sure, especially to try more empanadas and that flan.
Server was excellent, food was absolutely delicious! I definitely recommend coming here and ordering their A la carte meat. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly.
I came here for my anniversary. We knew that we were going to spend more money than we needed to but we have leftovers for the couple of days. We got the tomahawk (which can feed over 4 people for 135) and was cooked to perfection. We got 4 different styles of empanadas, all of them were delicious and would recommend the short rib and al pastor.
Great vibes. Delicious food. Courteous waiter and busser. (Thanks Alan & Marco!) Would definitely come on another date night here. music at volume that I can enjoy but still talk with my spouse.

The best Gaucho by far. The service standards are exceptional, Claudia is the best. The empanadas are all good but short ribs are something truly special. I visit this lovely location twice a week and have a rewards program. Can't go wrong with the Entraña! Alcohol has a great selection as well. Highly recommend.
Fantastic place to eat. Good food and great service. My server, Natalie, provided the best possible service at the bar for this being my first time, she took the time and introduced me to their menu choices and recommendations. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
The food is amazing. The service is always great. They have a lot of meats and also have wines and other foods you can buy. Sandwiches-De-miga which are fluffy and delicious. The have Yerba Mate, Alfajores, cookies, and other things to buy.
This is a great place to have a nice lunch or dinner. The food is so fresh and delicious. I love their glass kitchen where you can see them cook your steaks. I usually stop by to pick up fresh meats to take home and cook. I also love their chimichurri jars, desserts, and empanadas. Whenever you don't want to sit down and eat, you can shop for everything you need to prepare a delicious meal at home. Great services, bar, and atmosphere.
Came to Gaucho Grill in Buena Park to celebrate my friend’s birthday back in November and had an amazing experience. The portions were generous, the vibe was on point, and the drinks were excellent. My girlfriend and I ordered the Half Parrillada, and it was absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. Our server Celine did an outstanding job and made sure we were taken care of the entire time. I told her I’d leave a great review and I didn’t forget! This place left a lasting impression, and we’ll definitely be coming back for years to come. Highly recommend!

El Gaucho Grill is hands down the most authentic Argentine food I’ve had since coming back from my one-month trip to Buenos Aires. The atmosphere is amazing, the perfect balance of elegant and family-friendly with a warm, welcoming, homey feel. The asado was incredible. Every bite genuinely made me feel like I was back in Argentina. The choripán was on another level, it tasted just like the ones sold outside La Bombonera and instantly took me back. Highly recommend if you’re looking for real Argentine food and an experience to match.

Walked in for a late dinner and they didn't mind seating us. Our server Anni was really helpful suggesting sides and recommending the tomahawk to share, as we were a party of four. Empanadas were a good appetizer as well. Service was great and they didn't rush us, even though we were finishing up a little past closing.
Great atmosphere and staff. They definitely take care of you. Food was decent not over the top but delicious. Only negatives are drinks are very expensive and the Tiramisu was frozen and hard to eat.
Service was great and a nice clean location. Food was great with a few exceptions: one steak was over cooked, their veggie side was mostly potatoes (even though they have a potato side which is almost identical), and the flan tasted like Denny's scrambled eggs.
10/10/25 We came back because we loved our first experience. We chose the same night, Friday night. The only difference is we're coming about an hr or so later. Oh boy, later is a whole different experience. They asked us what we'd like to drink. I ordered the Madala reposado with a large ice cube. My man ordered an Elijah Craig neat. She walked away and spoke to the gentleman bartender. He began flipping through his book. He came over to us and asked my bf what he ordered. He repeated his order, then he asked me the same thing. I repeated my order. He walked away and looked up to all the whiskeys and couldn't seem to find it. My bf pointed out the bottle and said " it's right there on the corner. " So even though they found it, we didn't get served right away. It took about another 7-10 min before we received our first drinks. Food is always delicious, thank goodness. My bf chose the salmon again, which this time was a bit over cooked, but still tasted good. I chose the shrimp tortellini. That was very delicious 😋 😋 😋 😋. I will definitely order again. The atmosphere was alive. There were a lot of people this Friday night, as apposed to the first time around. Ok so it's time to pay... My bf paid with$200 dollar bills. We sat there for at least 10 min and the bar tender said I'll be right with you. We then asked a woman who came around asking everyone if all was ok. She took the money and said,"I'll have to see if we have change for $200 (bills). She went to the meat market section and never came back. 30 min later, I see that same woman handing out food to different tables. I said"hey we have to go, where's our change??!!" Then we see her with our money, going around to all the waitress and waiters asking then for change. We were so shocked that they didn't have change for $200 in the entire restaurant. 😱😱😱. We said all we need is $30 back and we're good. That all we need. You can figure the rest out later, but we gotta go. We love the food and the atmosphere, but we'll definitely go at an earlier hr. And we'll pay with a credit card for a better experience. 👍 ______________________________ We found this place by chance, but boy.... What a place!! Diamond in the rough for sure. Cool vibe. Everyone is professional and friendly. You can purchase your meat from the deli or sit and enjoy an elegant dinner. I had the Evita salad it was very 😋😋 but... I probably will be having the salmon on our next trip. My BF had that and it was very delicious. I had a shot of the Mandala Tequila Reposado and omgosh...silky smooth and delicious 😋🤤. The only negative things I can say is that half way through our dinner a man came in with his big dog and sat near us. Don't get me wrong I don't mind eating at pet friendly locations, however this location is pretty fancy and indoors. I prefer to keep the feel as elegant as possible. Just saying.... That was a womp womp moment that killed.... Killed the vibe. But ...... We will be back!
This restaurant has a really nice atmosphere and the servers were really great as well. The food had its ups and downs unfortunately though. First the empanadas were great I would definitely recommend those every time you go and I also enjoys the drinks. I was not a very big fan of the side option they did not give that much variety and it was pretty much how do you want you potatoes to be or how do you want your veggies. Getting the tomahawk steak which I would say is the most popular item. I wouldn't say I was that greatly impressed fist steak we got was cook well and we asked for M-rare and second steak was pretty rare but we took that one. I did feel that the steak looks large but did have a good amount of fat which didn't give a lot of meat for a plate that is presented as a dinner for two. Once again great service they got us 2 free drinks for the mistake on steaks temp level. I would give this place 5 ⭐ if the menu improved some. Don't know if I would return, but a decent experience.

This steakhouse is cool, don’t get me wrong, but why did they sit me and my mom at a dirty table on her birthday? Like, am I here to eat or audition for Cinderella.. did they think I’d appreciate the DIY cleaning experience or? this is a restaurant, not my aunt’s room when she says “ignore the mess” the steak took so long I genuinely thought they were raising the cow from birth in the back. I swear I heard mooing. the food was good once it finally decided to show up after 6-7 business days and our server was super sweet and honestly carried the entire experience on their back like an unpaid intern, because without him this would’ve been less “steakhouse birthday dinner” and more “expensive test of patience.”
Have visited twice now and unfortunately haven’t had a great experience either time — but the second visit was especially disappointing. Our server never checked in on us, and it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than a guest. Basic things like water, napkins, a straw, and even salt and pepper were completely missing from the table. The first time we came, the food was excellent, which made the poor service easier to overlook. But on the second visit, not only was the service worse, but the food was also a letdown — dry and noticeably smaller portions. Really hoping this was just an off day, but we left feeling disappointed.

This review and rating is due to the service we received at the restaurant. Had Christina as our server. The first 20 minutes started off well. She was attentive to our needs and was present. Then something happened. For the last 3/4 of our dinner, our server was nowhere to be found. Two different times I had to wave down a busboy in order to get service. We sat for 30 minutes with empty plates and empty drinks and didn't see her. We ordered an additional side, which she forgot and I had to flag down a busboy to remind and then suddenly our side was served. To top it all off when I ask for the check and put my card down, she stood there over me as I put in the tip. As if that was going to intimidate me into giving her more than she deserved. Honestly, I would have given her zero. But I did a 10% tip instead of my normal 20 to 25% because I know more than likely she shares the tips with the attendant busboys and cooks.. For the record, in our previous experiences at this restaurant we have generally gotten good service. This time was the exception and it was quite disappointing because I really like this restaurant.
We were very disappointed with the Full Parrilla, especially for the price. At $174 for 3 people, this was extremely overpriced for what was served. I have never seen a parrilla with so much chicken and so little of what actually defines a proper Argentine parrillada. To educate those unfamiliar: a traditional Argentine parrillada is a mixed grill centered around BEEF, not chicken. It typically includes cuts such as asado (short ribs), vacío (flank steak), entraña (skirt steak), bife or ribeye, along with chorizo and morcilla (blood sausage). In many authentic parrillas, you’ll also find (mollejas) and provoleta. Chicken, if included at all, is minimal and never the star. What we received felt unbalanced and far from authentic, making the price point unjustifiable. For a dish labeled “Full Parrilla,” I expected quality, variety, and authenticity — none of which were delivered. The sides were a Joke, a salad the size was extremely small for 3 servings and the potatoes we received were 6 tiny seasoned potetoes. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to expectations and we will not coming back!
Absolutely terrible… this is $165 wagyu tomahawk and they messed up. Ordered medium rare but I got cold meat. Also ordered prime picanha. One piece was medium rare and the other piece was well-done. Don’t waste your money here
