King chang was very delicious. I loved the large intestines over the small intestines. The servers were extremely attentive and kind even though they were busy on a Saturday night. I loved all the korean side dishes and the soy bean paste was good. I loved the food and the servers. I would definitely come back. I ordered the smaller combo which was around $65 to $70. Without tip. The food was good for 2 to 3 people depending on how hungry you are. I loved the large intestines!!😄🥰😍🤩
The spicy intestine is really really good , but quite hot even with me , so watch out if you couldn’t handle spicy . Ask for some rice to go with the intestine , perfect combination . Can’t complain anything . Staff is helpful , cozy place with Korean atmosphere . Panchan is very good also . Don’t know what it is , thin sliced , spicy and taste like squid or octopus .
King Chang in Buena Park is a top spot for Korean barbecue. Known for its high-quality meats, the restaurant offers a variety of marinated and non-marinated options, all grilled to perfection at your table. The signature galbi, tender pork belly, and flavorful brisket are standout choices. The meal is complemented by a diverse array of banchan (side dishes) like kimchi and pickled vegetables, adding variety and depth. The lively, welcoming ambiance and attentive staff enhance the dining experience, making sure everything is cooked to your liking. Whether you're a Korean BBQ fan or a first-timer, King Chang promises a satisfying and enjoyable meal.
Who’s craving for Korean beef intestine? Highlights of the menu: 1. Small and big intestine. Eat along with grilled kimchi, mushroom and pumpkin 2. Tteok-bokkk: rice cake soup 3. Mountain tripe cheese fried rice 4. Cold noodles: buckwheat noodles & chilled beef broth 5. Soups: kimchi soup, soybean and tofu soup 6. Peach soju I loooove this place! I have came here so many times for their intestine because they’re so good!! The crunchiness on the outside and the fatty taste in the inside make the intestines so yummy. My favorite is the small and big intestine. I can have this all day! I also love their banchans to eat along with the intestine. After the intestines, I enjoy the Tteok-bokki soup with chewy and sweet spicy savory flavors. My first time eating cold noodles after the intestines and I like it. So refreshing!! They have the little wheel game that I luckily won a soju. So cheerful!! MY LAST REVIEW: Offering both meat and gobchang (intestine), Haksan is a one stop shop that you should crash. Really good food and service, they have a lot of tables; therefore, it's good for big parties and help with the queue in peak times. It also opens late, up to midnight, good place to hang and drink in the weekend. Moreover, the associates grill everything for you, the best of the best thing when I go to KBBQ, is not have to grill and burn all the meats but get served. Highlights of the menu: 1. Combo of intestine (choose up to 3): small intestine, large intestine 2. Beef combo Corn cheese, kimchi soup, rice, and salad are included with combo.
In 2023. We went here… and this is what i said “Wow. One of the best korean bbq i have ever tasted. Quality beef... and i liked the ramen... Coupled with soju shots... whew.... Sarap” Now after 2 years, in 2025, we again were treated by tita thea and tito joel with Jr… once again, we have a very full stomach Highly recommended then and highly recommended still
We had no wait thanks to the yelp waitlist check in. The server was perfect and attentive. The portions for the meat and intestines were plentiful. Price wise I think it’s better than Baekjong. Overall, everything was great. The some of the side dishes could be slightly better but that’s not a huge issue. We ordered the large beef combo and all did not disappoint. The seasoned short ribs were our favorites. We had the gobchang/daechang intestine combo as well. Will definitely return!
Best gopchang place in socal. Staffs are extremely friendly. Their combo is very good for the price. Also the a la carte meats are very good quality. Highly recommended.
It was my first time visiting and I can see why it's a local favorite. We got the couple combo and every cut of meat was such good quality and it was even better with the great service we were given. We also ordered cold noodles and raw beef tartare, both which are a MUST when coming here. They do have a couple dishes that aren't set at the table that are typically given at other kbbq places such as rice and kimchi, but you just have to ask for them. It was nice and clean inside which made me assume this place just recently opened but to my surprise the server said this has been around for a couple years! We came despite the heatwave and it was still fully packed so keep in mind there may be a long wait on weekends and plan accordingly! Can't wait to come back to try their intestine combo next time.
CAME HERE FOR THE LARGE INTESTINES AND DID NOT DISAPPOINT. Ended up getting the small beef combo with the intestines. The sides are quite tasty and they don't skimp on them either. Excellent service. Meat quality was excellent. But holy moly the large intestines are the best EVER. Will be coming back.
Amazing staff, amazing food, amazing sides, amazing service. Our fave kbbq place
Jesus Christ I love their small and large intestines. Took the management team and they were accommodating and accepted that we would get rowdy. A la Carte and combos. Do the combos! Still roughly about $40-50 a head just like AYCE but better quality. Don’t get tricked into eating lower quality stuff but til you feel sick. Excess calories, lacking flavor.
One of the best KBBQs of southern california. Quality meat choices and fast, efficient service.
We were craving Korean BBQ but did not want to commit to an all you can eat experience, so King Chung was the perfect choice. It is a spot we have been to before, and we keep coming back because it feels a bit more authentic than many of the nearby KBBQ restaurants. We made sure to join the online waitlist since it usually gets busy around 6 pm, and it definitely helps avoid a long wait. Inside, the ambiance is dark, lively, and loud in a fun way. It has that classic Korean BBQ energy with lots of groups cooking and laughing. Most tables are geared toward parties of four or five, but they do have larger tables for bigger groups. We ordered the couples combo, which came with brisket, bulgogi, and pork belly. They grill everything for you, and the staff does a great job managing the heat and timing. All the side dishes were solid, with the peanuts being a standout. The pork belly ended up being our favorite of the meats, especially when paired with ssamjang, garlic, and the included greens. Overall, King Chung is a reliable spot when you want quality Korean BBQ without the all you can eat format. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is energetic, and I will definitely be back the next time the craving hits.
Thanks to our server, Hanbyul, we were able to enjoy a very comfortable, fun, and wonderful time with our friends. The service made the whole experience even more enjoyable, and we truly appreciated it. We’ll definitely be coming back again soon!
Just had an amazing Korean BBQ experience! 😍 The staff helped grill everything for us, and they did an incredible job—the meat came out perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The banchan were fresh and delicious, and the service was super friendly and attentive. Portions are generous, and the quality is totally worth it. Can’t wait to come back!
Went to the King Chang Buena Park location specifically for the KBBQ intestine as I've heard good things and it was Definitely was solid. We got the KIng Chang Gganbu combo which comes with Prime Thinly Sliced Brisket, Prime Fresh Pork Belly, Small Intestine, Large Intestine and includes corn cheese, jjigae and even kalguksu. The combo isn't cheap but it comes with a lot of food. The large intestine was my favorite. It comes cooked and is marinated in a sweet soy based sauce and once it crisps on the grill, it's just amazing. The pork belly with the white kimchi combo is also a standout. The kalguksu is actually perfect to settle down after all the greasy BBQ meats. Overall, I would definitely recommend it if you're craving some KBBQ intestines. Not your typical KBBQ in a good way.
I discovered it by taking my son to the Buena Park Metrolink station. We were a bit in rush so we asked them to speed up serving the food. The staff were nice, friendly. The food was great and the vibe is Korean pure 👌 i highly recommend it.
We ordered a couple combo and an order of large intestine on the side. Both beef and pork were very tender, all the sides dishes, especially the pancake, were yummy. Our server Rodeli was very courteous and tended to us with appropriate attention. This is easily one of our favorite korean bbq spots.
King Chang left an indelible mark with its exceptional service and culinary prowess. The dedication to customer satisfaction was evident from the moment we stepped in, even amidst the Saturday night rush. The servers went above and beyond, exhibiting attentiveness and kindness that elevated the entire dining experience. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of efficiency and warmth. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the large intestines, surpassing the small ones in both flavor and texture. The meticulous preparation showcased a culinary expertise that set King Chang apart. Each bite was a journey through rich and savory notes, leaving an undeniable impression. The smaller combo, designed for 2 to 3 people, proved to be ample, catering to varying appetites. The variety of Korean side dishes provided a delightful symphony of flavors, and the soybean paste stood out as a star among stars. Its depth of flavor added a distinctive touch to the meal. As a connoisseur of Korean cuisine, I can confidently say that King Chang serves the best intestines in town, a true gastronomic delight. I eagerly anticipate my return to savor more culinary treasures from their menu and to bask in the warmth of their impeccable service. King Chang is undoubtedly a gem in the realm of Korean dining, deserving of accolades for its outstanding offerings and commitment to culinary excellence.
How can I not love this place? The food is delicious, the service is great, and the atmosphere is just right. Their Chang Combo is especially outstanding—I don’t think I could find a better one anywhere else. Honestly, I wish I could eat here every day!
If you’re looking for high-quality KBBQ with amazing service, KingChang - Buena Park is the place to go! The service was amazing —our server was super attentive and cooked all the meat perfectly, so we could just relax and enjoy. We ordered the Small Beef Combo, which came with prime thinly sliced brisket, prime boneless short rib, and seasoned prime rib. The meat was fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. The combo also included soybean paste stew, steamed egg, and corn cheese, We also got the Dried Pollack Hangover Ramen and Fish Cake Soup—both were packed with umami and super comforting.
Yes, this place is a little pricey but when you take your first bite from the side dishes like the dumplings or the corn with cheese to the meat. The quality and flavor is incredible. I've been to this spot a few times on special occasions and will hopefully be returning soon. The employees cook the meat for you and are very helpful. Clean environment and definitely recommend. The beef at this place is just something else. My Korean best friend is so picky about KBBQ and she was the one that recommended this place to me.
We went as a group of 7 and ordered 1 meat combo and 1 intestine combo which cost $50+/1 person. Their marinated beef is really good. The intestine tastes okay. The meat quality is great. The combo comes with lots of side dishes such as corn cheese, steamed eggs, noodles, and soup for "EVERY" combo. So be aware of that and not order too much food. The service is good as they will cook the meat for you. For the intestine combo, everything is cooked already so you can eat them as soon as they are served. I would recommend trying the intestine combo! Overall, not a bad experience. You should try at least once!
This is my family's absolute favorite restaurant. My mom, my husband, and even my daughter love it here. If you're taking a break from AYCE K-BBQ and want a place that focuses on quality over quantity, you should definitely check this place out. The servers grill everything for you, changing the grill based on the type of meat to bring out the best flavors. The side dishes change every time we visit, and they’re always so delicious. I always find myself eating more rice and side dishes here! There are a variety of combos to choose from, so you can pick exactly what you’re in the mood for. All the meats are premium cuts, letting you truly taste the different flavors of marbling in each cut. The service is also top-notch. They constantly check in to make sure you have everything you need. If you bring kids, they even cut the meat into smaller pieces and cook it longer for them, which is such a thoughtful touch. If you love intestines, I highly recommend this place. There’s absolutely no gamey smell, and the meat is perfectly tenderized, giving it the right balance of chewiness and rich, savory flavor. This isn’t an all-you-can-eat spot, but the quality of the meat and service makes it more than worth it. I honestly think this is the best place in Orange County to truly appreciate high-quality K-BBQ!
Very good food... tbh a top tier bbq place but also the intestine is really good! Also service was impeccable. They were so attentive. Usually at kbbq places I feel forgotten over time but they were always around to check up on us even when it was busy. This is my second time here so they are definitely consistent
First time at King Chang, and I can see why my Korean girlfriend loves this place. The lively ambiance, upbeat music, and attentive staff were definite highlights. Food: • Banchan: Great variety—Japchae noodles, broccoli, candied peanuts, fish jerky, salad, and bean sprouts were all solid. The kimchi, however, was pale and bland. • Couple Combo: My boyfriend and his daughter, who lived in Seoul for years and is quite picky, loved the pork belly but found the Galbi a bit too sweet. The soybean paste stew was good but not the best she’s had. • Seafood Pancake: Our favorite! Packed with seafood and perfectly crispy—if you love pancakes, this is a must-order. • Spicy Octopus Rice in Hot Stone Pot: Absolutely delicious! I wished for more octopus and less rice, but it was so good I happily took leftovers home. • Buckwheat Noodles in Chilled Broth: Served mid-meal, though it felt more like a dessert. It was okay but not something I’d reorder. • Corn Cheese: Simply delicious. Overall, we had an amazing experience. There’s a reason this spot is a favorite among K-pop and K-drama stars. Just a heads-up—you will leave smelling like KBBQ, so come prepared!
Causal Korean BBQ in Buena Park. Food and service are great. We ordered a small size beef combo and cold noodle. Very satisfying!
The beef is good and fresh, and the staff will help you to make sure the meat is perfect for you. They will ask you anything you need, waitress/waiter is friendly and nice. This is the first time I come and they have helped me with the order a lot, will recommend for come.

Other than a little pricey menu, the experience was great. Food and service were just as expected, with a lot of banchan. Multiple servers tended to our needs, especially Kate who was making sure we were having a great experience. This is the place I would choose to introduce -changs to non-Korean friends. It would be nice if the portion could be bigger, or if the price can be brought down just a little bit.
Gotta say something about their ban chan frisy. This is one of the few KBBQ restaurants that I eat more than one banchan. Both my husband and I like the mushrooms, spinach. Sweet potato Bandhan. We ordered the short ribs which was a bit more expensive but they give big portions. The ribs were delicious as you can imagine they would be with prime marbling.
This is a popular Korean BBQ restaurant selling beefs and other meats. Most of time, it is crowded with people, so be prepared. Noise level was a little too much to bear for me. I couldn't understand what my friends were saying. We had to leave as soon as all the food was served. When we got out of the restaurant, it was so peaceful.
Menu attached with recent prices. Atmosphere is pleasant, very chill, great entry design. Service is amazing, they cook the meat for you and asks how you like it and whether to go slow or fast. Grilled to perfection. Sides are very tasty, authentic as well. Meats served is good quality, worth the price. We got the couple combo $80. Not the cheapest kbbq but worth for the service and quality of food. Will recommend. Do note that due to increased price of eggs, they do not offer steamed egg as of writing this review.
The store is clean and the attitude of the staff is very good. The table setting is stylish and there are many kinds of free side dishes. Gopchang Combo Set The quantity is large, but the taste is ordinary. Everyone has a different taste, but you need a little giblet oil for a savory taste. Staff service is the best The Korean seasoned ribs are very delicious and the ramen is also delicious.

In honest review , I've had better intestine at Korean BBQ places that doesn't specialize in just intestines. The server didn't cook the intestines properly and they were a little undercooked. The value for the amount of food you get is definitely not worth it's price because the quality is not worth it. But overall it's not terrible or anything like that. It just doesn't exceed my expectations as a Gobchang/Daechang restaurant
I went after 9 PM, so there was no wait. They set the whole table before serving the customers, which was nice. We ordered the gopchang combo, and since it was pre-grilled, we could eat it right away, which I really appreciated. The male server was also very attentive and had good sense. However, the spicy daechang was extremely spicy (We can actually handle spicy food pretty well ) we couldn’t even finish half of it. It felt like a waste of money, so I was a bit disappointed. Overall, the food was just OK.
This was my first visit this place but it turned out to be below my expectation. - Food: I ordered Intestine Combo (Choose up to 3 among Large Intestine, Small Intestine or Abomasum) which comes with Soybean Paste Stew + Steamed Egg +Aged Kimchi (this was the cherry on top of the menu!)+ Corn Cheese + Potato + Red Peppers + Jalapeño + Onion. Good for 2-3 people. The meats were served already cooked. The serving staff will heat up more on the grill at the table but I didn't like it cuz I am not sure if this was fresh meat or how long it was seating there. The worse part was the meats were rubbery (I am Korean so I know how the intestine should properly be chewy or rubbery chewy), I wish I could cook myself so that I adjust the level. I loved the Daechang (large intestine) though. * Spicy Gopchang (Stir Tripe) I ordered this to-go. Maybe my expectation was too high. It tastes more like powdery Gochujang paste sauce (텁텁한 고추장맛). Whenever I cook at home, it tastes this so I gave up and go to Intestine specialty restaurants in Korea (I think it is some secret recipe). I don't see any point to order it from here. - Ambience: It feels like I was in Korea at the moment. Very familiar atmosphere. They have their own unique themed decor, colorful LED lights, 2 big mascot frogs (of Soju company 'Jinro') for photoshoot at the entrance. The place is inviting, busy, lively and bright with about 20-30 tables. - Service: The server was really friendly, attentive and quick. Couldn't ask his name but I would give him 10 stars! - Hygiene: Cups, Utensils, plates, tables, floors were clean. - Price: Medium $73 or Large $96. Wish prices were a bit lower or increase the amount. - Restroom: It was clean. Gender separated. - Location: It is conveniently located next to pho place, shabushabu restaurant, on top of that Korean hypermarket Zion Market so it is good to eat here before/after shopping (that's what I did lol)! - Parking: It is in the shopping & restaurant plaza so there is a plenty of parking. - ETC It is a busy place, get a reservation with Yelp. [Will I be back?] I thought the restaurant name (King Chang) gave me some hint that its specialty is Gopchang but sadly it failed to win my heart. Although it was a bit disappointing this time, maybe I would give it another shot when I'm in the area for beef (marbling looked awesome!) and their above and beyond service but I'd rather try other places for Gopchang (intestine) next time I visit LA.

This was our first time ordering from here and got to go I was a bit disappointed because on their website the picture shows that large intestine was alot and when we received it it was soo small portion I thought they were going to give us a lot more, I paid over $39 total for just large intestine and a cup of rice the front desk staff was kind enough to give kimchi but idk I just feel it was falsely advertised. But the taste was ok just was over cooked too much.
The restaurant is spacious with a lively atmosphere, and the servers are active and provide great service. However, the gopchang and makchang had a sweet flavor but were overly dry and tough, making them difficult to eat—I couldn’t help but leave more than half unfinished. On the other hand, the side dishes were tasty and served in generous portions.
May be my expectation was too high. Pros - It's newly opened place. So, clean! - All the staffs going around and grilling your plates. Cons - the quality of meat is terrible. I felt like I chewed rubber band. - Too noisy to talk with your accompany. - Be careful when you leaving. When you leaving restaurants, you will see bunch of drunken people drove their car.
It was Sunday, drove 12 miles to get this place knowing that they were going to close at 10pm. This was going to be our first time eating at this place. We arrived at 9:10 only to be turned away and their reason was that it would take long to cook the BBQ, huh?! Wow… never experienced anything like this. Giving them 1 star because of such a bad encounter. Never again I would consider dining at this place.
To go order Rice, vegetables and a few ribs for one person $50 This restaurant should have more options for to go orders and not only eat in
