Pleaseeee try their sekkosi (세꼬시). You will never find anything similar to this in the US! It’s made of super high quality fish so it tastes super freshhh!!!

One of the better sashimi places we’ve been to, in fact, we had the mid level set menu and every item was fresh and delicious! It’s Korean Busan style, with emphasis on freshness and variety of seafood dishes. Service was attentive and above average for similar type of places. They give out “service” dishes, which is great. Just be aware it’s noticeably more expensive than similar places but still worth it IMO. They even went out of their way to celebrate a birthday also. Definitely will be returning.

Hesitant to try live seafood usually, but absolutely surpassed my expectations. Very fresh and delicious! Much cleaner than the old spot that was here. Service was quick and professional!

I thought I knew what fresh fish tastes like. I did not 😂. I can say this was the best authentic, fresh fish restaurant I have ever been to. My partner and I ate so much food that we only stopped because we were too full. Everything was satisfying, from the service to the food. Our compliments to the Chef! I highly recommend going on an empty stomach for the full experience of the tastiest, freshest fish you will ever have. I want to thank the staff for offering to move us to a bigger table! The staff was so informative and also recommended what to pair each dish with. Thank you for this amazing experience! 🍣🐟❤️

It seems pricey at first but once you see the food and the amount of effort that went into crafting it, you’ll see that it’s not pricey at all……nothing was sloppy at this place, even the little side dishes. Honestly I don’t know of any restaurants around here that cooks as if they are cooking for their family. Heads up - they do some quality work, so they are not the fastest with the food. We enjoyed every dishes they served, and all of our family were very satisfied with their food and service. Except the Roe over rice(알밥)-[rice was too hard to chew], spicy fish stew(매운탕)-[it doesn't have any taste], and Okonomiyaki-[too salty]. **Our family had Sashimi Platter Set A.

Combo for 2 people is so delicious and so full. A miso soup, egg tofu, fish stew, tempura and fried calamari come with the combo. the fish is soooooo fresh. highly recommend this place

Absolutely delicious. When you are trying out an exotic foreign cuisine, you seek assurance. Moon Beach gives you just that. It's a sushi/sashimi place, so you know things are going to be raw: 1) they are informative and descriptive in telling you what they are serving, 2) they provide service to fit your needs, and 3) you can tell for yourself that the ingredients are fresh and safe. Frankly, that's all I'd ask for trying out a foreign cuisine. As a Korean 회 lover, I'd say they went above and beyond.

Had the sashimi set C and was plenty of food for 2. 3 might be a stretch. Food was incredible. Service was attentive but not interrupting. Restaurant atmosphere was typical of Korean sashimi restaurants.

However, I did drop about 180 for a lunch for two. The food was filling and the portions weren’t too bad. I really feel like you can get fresh octopus and the other items at any other restaurant nearby for 1/3 of the price… Still, great customer service and nice vibe. It’s for sure for a date night and not for a quick lunch spot.

This is one of the two major Korean restaurants in the OC area. the raw fish/seafood is in good, high and clean condition.The portion of the seafood platter was small so I was hungry ㅋㅋㅋ-. Some sashimi restaurants serve a lot of junk and the sashimi is as thin as a sheet of paper. The quality of the food was good.Sushi is the best I praise the staff for being so friendly and fast.The food was all delicious and looked very good. I plan to visit again.

It's pretty pricy for what you get, though... for the money, I would rather just drive to LA if I'm looking for a Korean style sushi place like this. You don't wanna drive to the k town LA? This place may only be the option around the area.

I recently had a truly unsettling experience at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to share it. I was curious to try this place out but when I arrived and sat down for dinner, I was horrified to learn that they serve live animals. The concept, which was completely new to me, involves presenting live creatures as part of the dining experience—animals that are prepared and served while still alive. I can't begin to describe how deeply disturbed and uncomfortable I felt seeing this in person. As soon as I realized what was happening, I had to leave. It was impossible for me to stay and enjoy the meal knowing the cruelty involved. I left feeling a mix of sadness and anger, not just for the animals, but for the fact that this is happening in California, a state that prides itself on being progressive and humane. I genuinely hope that someone helps soon to put an end to this. No animal should have to suffer in this way for the sake of entertainment or dining. I won’t be returning, and I encourage others to be aware of what’s happening here. It’s not only shocking but heartbreaking, and I sincerely hope this restaurant is held accountable for their actions.

I love me some good seafood and was looking forward to enjoying this place! But when you're serving food, the animal should be ready to prep, not torture it inhumanely while seeing octopus bits squirming around or shrimp wriggling around. No animal deserves to suffer for our pleasure (yes, there are humane ways to get them into their permanent sleep), so this place will be a no go again!

Don’t get the set menu. I’ve ordered 4people food, set B with extra uni total of $377 but actually for 3people. 2 short korean females and one male. Wasn’t enough food. Just order everything separately. The sides that come with tempuras arent really worth it.

I recently visited the Moon Beach Sashimi Restaurant and we ordered Sashimi Platter Set A, it said 4 to 5 people meal but it didn't make us full. Service was great but Sashimi portion was too small for a family of four. And food was taking too long to arrive. Compared to portion and the quality price is way too high

It’s just messed up they serve live animals. I’m not vegan, but have some mercy on the poor damn creatures. I just wish animals were treated better before we eat them

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this restaurant. From the moment we walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant odor that made the entire place feel unclean. The floors were sticky, the tables looked like they hadn’t been properly wiped down, and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting—filthy stalls, overflowing trash, and a smell that suggested they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. Unfortunately, the food was even worse. Both my wife and I became violently ill after eating here—worse than we’ve ever felt in our lives. Clearly, there are serious food safety and hygiene issues going on in this kitchen. The food tasted off, and in hindsight, we should have trusted our instincts and left. To make matters worse, the staff was incredibly rude and condescending. When we politely expressed our concerns about the food, they brushed us off with an attitude, as if we were the problem. No apology, no willingness to make things right—just dismissiveness and disrespect. I would strongly advise anyone to stay far away from this place. Between the filthy conditions, terrible service, and food that made us horribly sick, this was easily one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had.
