Church's Chicken

Customer service was exceptional & friendly. Establishment was clean & appeared to be COVID-19 compliant. Ease of access in/out offered to the handicap public. Could offer additional varieties of food products. Prices are consistent with the prices of other similar fast food establishments offering the same or similar food products to the general public. I'd recommend this particular establishment to family, friends, & general public.

This Church's is inside of a gas station and the restaurant itself is small. It was clean, but they had chairs on top of tables and they were playing Tejano music, which was odd for a Church's. The food was very good, hot and fresh, and the staff was friendly.

I didn't even realize this location existed, despite driving past it for over a year. There's no signage to let passerbys to know it's there. That aside my experience today was really great. Went by the drive through just after noon and the chicken was hot and fresh. Flavor was fantastic. The attendant was a bit off though. I wasn't told which drink I was handed was which and the kids weren't marked. Had to ask for straws and they forgot to include the sauce I asked for when ordering. Thankfully the chicken was so tasty I didn't mind in the end.

You waIt forever for someone to take your order. The food is really good and fresh. The place is super small. They are right on the corner of a major hwy and the interstate so I am sure the employees get worked hard. I try to remember that when we stop there which isn't often maybe a couple times a year

Love churches chicken at other locations. Very much disliked the service, and the place is.... yuck. Corporations that allow their facilities to become like that shouldn't receive any business.

It seemed to be a good place to eat in the middle of nowhere till we found that they were out of sweet tea, a knife to cut our chicken fried steak, sugar to put in the unsweetened tea, only one chicken fried steak and who knows what else. They told us that they have ordered things but that they just haven't gotten them yet. In the middle of nowhere is where they should have everything they need for every customer that comes in that place!!! The food was good but we also found out that it doesn't taste as good when it gets cold!!! Hmmmm

Update 7/29/2025 Made an internet order at 12:31 and when I got there they said they didnt see my order. Had to pull up the order to prove i ordered and paid for it. Then she said they dont sell unsweetened tea that I ordered which I know they do because thats all I order. Then they lied and said they dont sell drum sticks. Uh, YES YOU DO! Why all the lies? Why the crappy attitude? Im the one spending my money and you guys give me a hard time is not nice. Finally got to leave at 1:25. Took an hour ugh for a drive thru. Customer service is BAD! They are ALL rude. Why run off the customers? Thats how you get paid? The internet says yall close at 10 but drove up here and its only 9:10 and its closed. How disappointing

Went there on the way home from east Texas, ordered 2 chicken sandwiches, a combo and a drink. The fries were old and I asked for some jalapeños which were no received. I wish one day people can get orders right or check the bag to be sure all that was ordered is included. This is a easy way to retain customers.

My chicken legs were not spicy after I waited 20 minutes for them to fry spicy chicken. I didn't know when I purchased chicken only i don't receive a biscuit went to the drive drive thru I had to go inside to purchase biscuits, I had to pay with cash the system was down couldn't use my credit card, I am tired I will stop I will stop here. UGH

Ordered a three piece dark, three jalapeños, and the new mega bites they were advertising. Cashier informed me I had to wait a few minutes for the bites; ok, no biggie. Instead of him waiting until the bites come up, he prepared my chicken order and just left it there.... under no heat lamps or nothing. Even though the bites were fresh and hot, that chicken sure wasn't. I could've requested fresher chicken, but him being a cashier/server should've known better. I probably won't go back there.

The chicken was pretty good, however the sides were all sub-standard. The potatoes were someone's poor substitute for an actual potato and the gravy was more like a brown gelatin-like substance. The coleslaw was way too mayonnaisey. We also got the chicken fried steak. I know, I should have known better than to get a steak at a chicken restaurant. The chicken fried steak was probably one of the worst I've ever had. All I can say is if you go to this restaurant stick with the chicken.

Literally the slowest drive thru service ever. Once i ordered in the drive thru and had to wait over 30 minutes. Finally went inside to check on the order while my vehicle was in the drive thru lane. Employees didn't seem to care about customer concerns.

The cook was cleaning the grease and was not able to cook fries so we got a refund, also I tried to use a coupon from Church's Chicken website and was told oh no they have to be printed we have an old system. 1st and last time visiting this location.

Called to get prices on family deals since we live about 30 minutes away. The girl said "hang on a minute" and then hung up. So I called back. No answer. Judging by the reviews of their food, I guess I dodged a bullet.

Used to stop here on the way to visit family. Been 2 yrs since last visit. The chicken tastes like their hydrogenated cooking oil hasn't been changed for at least a year. Chicken tasted old like the oil. The jalapeno was squishy & old like the chicken. Left there with the worst after taste like I had eaten a tub of old lard. Disgusting. Not ever going back.

Drive thru intercom crackled, had to take order through window which took 20 minutes to get to (1 car in front). Then additional 15 minutes to process food order, he forgot to take my card. Handed me food and I could've drove away but I'm not like that. Another 4 minutes to get card back. They need help! BACK HOME, FOOD WAS GOOD!

Dinner Monday, June 13th. Disappointed. Out of smokehouse chicken, out of mac and cheese. Rude lady in drive-thru. Got the Grande Meal instead of the smokehouse chicken dinners we planned on. No upgrading sides since they were out of the good stuff, was really rude about it. Foid was bland. Only positive was the sweet tea was good.

Just went here today and the two rude Mexican workers did not even acknowledge me as a patron. I stood at the counter for about 15 minutes and not one of them took my order or acknowledged my presence just kept working the drive thru. That to me was rude and disgusting even for them kept my money in my pocket and walked out will never visit again. -Negative Star

This place is a joke. You will wait an wait till you finally just pull to the window. Someone will come when there whole conversation is over. And not until then. They will not even entertain the idea of a coupon. Won't even glance at it. And omg!! Don't order bac and cheese unless you have the 9 minutes it takes to prepare it. Why is that? Never ever have I ordered and received mac and cheese under the 9 minute mark. I must have a thing for greasy chicken. Cold greasy chicken cause by the time I'm back home I'm definitely not in the mood to eat. Ugh. I need to learn to fry a bird. I do not recomend stopping here if you enjoy that good mood your in

The chicken was bland, the Mac and cheese was oily, and my dogs wouldn't even eat the fries. The young man behind the counter was sweet, the rest of the staff was rude.

Really can't rate this church's. Rude service and they cannot work drive thru and inside at the same time. Ask for corporate and they refuse the number. This is a horrible place and business. This church's is going to loose a customer for good.

I LOVE churchs, I had been craving it for weeks and finally stopped at one on my way back home. This location needs to be closed. The staff was great, but the food was horrible. I took about 3 bites and chucked it. Also, it's quite disgusting to have a filthy box fan blowing dust and lint around the restaurant.

They were rude, if you ask for anything... example corn on the cob, they are out. Drumsticks they’re out, oh they don’t tell you they just replace with more thighs. No hair nets no gloves. Went from mopping to serving food with an attitude. Last 4 times it just keeps getting worse.

So I ordered chicken they told me that I had to wait about five minutes. Open chicken and start eating when I get home. 💥 boom bloody chicken. Not even cooked all the way. SMH. Shut this place down before y’all hurt someone

Cashier was very rude and unpleasant. Very ungrateful for the business I brought today. She was not rude not to just me but the two other customers behind me. The food was great but the service and hospitality was incredibly unsatisfied. It's no wonder a lot of church's have closed down. Though the food is good but customers end up not returning for lack of respect and lack of appreciation for our business.

I asked for okra and fries and got stale okra and mashed potatoes with a 5-piece dark. There were supposed to be 2 biscuits, but there was 1. That was actually the best part I barely got to taste because there were no fries for my hungry toddler.

I stopped at this location at 11:15am on 3/4/2026. The cashier and store manager were very impatient and impolite. I ordered 5 tenders and the manager gave me one sauce ( for 5 tenders ) then charged me for another one. On top of that the food was cold. I’ll never shop this location again. And if you know like I know you wouldn’t either. 🤦
