Willy like it?

Nice texas summer day. Good drive out to Palestine, as much as they say there is plenty to see and do.. looks like a old Town in transition and needing to upgrade and bring in some shops. Pint and barrel was very inviting and so was our server. Very friendly and welcoming.. placed our order received our drinks and number and sat out on the covered patio.our spinach artichoke dip was delivered. Was not the best we have had and thought chips would've been better than the pancake like flat bread. Within minutes our burger and pork sandwich came out. Nice size and cooked well. The fries were really good with a unique cut and the slaw was flavorful too..there are a few other choices but doubt they would beat the pint and barrel..

Great pub for drinks, food and lounging. Lots of outdoor space with tables, fire pit and even a small creek nearby. Very friendly staff, and knowledgeable. Brought my Great Pyrenees in and this place loves dogs for sure, they were all over him with pats and hugs. Had the 1 piggy pulled pork sandwich paired with a German Helles, both were excellent. Right in the heart of downtown and if you have a larger rig, travel trailer or bus there is a parking lot across the street with convenient parking.

Had dinner with a large group here around 6:00 on 9/25. The staff are amazing here. Great people with such a warm and welcoming vibe. The beer on tap is such a great rotating selection, that anyone is sure to always find something to enjoy. We ordered a slew of appetizers which were all extremely delicious, and my mushroom Swiss burger was decadent and paired well with the coleslaw and scrumptious French fries. If you are in Palestine and want to have a few beers with friends, this is the place to do that for sure.

This is a nice little tap house in old towne Palestine TX. Large parking lot. The staff is friendly and the food is good. I had the Philly cheese steak. They also have some BBQ sandwiches, meatloaf and quite a selection of specials. Nice selection of beers on tap. Surrounded by a bunch of old buildings and a lot of rusty metal. Nice little courtyard for kids to run around in. Easy to get to. Large covered deck for outdoor dining. I would definitely stop here again if I was coming back through this way.

We ordered from here after another local food option took our online order, but was actually closed for the day 🫠 The man who took the order over the phone was helpful and kind and our order was ready quickly. They packed it nicely (with utensils and condiments) and we took it to enjoy at the local park. Everything was delicious! Their little setup is a super cute space and, had we planned to order from there in the first place, I wouldn’t have hesitated to bring the kids and just eat there. They have a cute little grassy area and lots of covered outdoor picnic tables. They were not crazy busy at 5pm on a Saturday and it was a great vibe!

Excellent drafthouse nestled in the picturesque downtown of Palestine. The staff members were incredibly kind and capable - the food (and between all 16 of us!) was all delicious. I think we ordered everything on the menu! The kids played darts, the a/c was working, and the setting was lovely. I can see how the outside porches and fire pits would be amazing at other times of the year. Overall even our kids were saying 5⭐️

My grandson loved the chicken tenders. He said they were amazing and The BBQ sauce was the best in Texas. The fish and chips were super! We loved the atmosphere also.

I sat at the bar. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I tried on of the tap beers, I think it was the black butte porter. It was a dark smooth beer and I enjoyed it. I asked for recommendations and she told me the chicken tenders were good. I ordered those and I’ll admit the when I got them I was a little worried cause it was only two tenders. But they were perfect! Lightly battered, juicy on the inside and a perfect size. It also came with fries and cole slaw. It was the perfect amount of food. Personally I’d liked one more strip and maybe less fries but I was good. They had a really nice outdoor area to eat and drink your beers.

Went here last night. Friendly staff! This was the highlight. Was a pleasure to do business with good folks who care about their customers! I ordered a beer which was good, but their wasn't a printed menu so was a bit hard to know what all was on offer, but the staff gladly helped find something I would enjoy. I got the Cuban sandwich which was very good, and I loved the twisted tater style fries. The atmosphere was laid but and family friendly. Loved it. Now a couple negatives. The cole slaw was over dressed. And on the menu the "burger" section conflates burgers and chicken sandwiches and vegan patty sandwiches. Also says they come with mayo, when burgers have mustard. I also thought of getting the special "chili cheese burger" but was wise enough to ask if the chili had beans. The staff said yes. But chili doesn't have beans, so I didn't get that. But I recommend and would go again! Thanks guys!

Great food & great selection of beer. Mia waited on me and was very helpful & friendly! Sh made my visit very enjoyable. I had the mushroom Swiss burger with a triple jam cider. Burger was delicious & beer was very flavorful. I would highly recommend this place. They have indoor- outdoor- bar- seating. They also have a quiet room if that’s more suitable for you.

A fun, eclectic place to grab a drink and have a laugh. The staff was helpful and attentive. We had a lot of questions and they were patient with us.I highly recommend the Juicy Peach that’s on tap. Delish! Food was good. I had the meatloaf sandwich and the flavor was good but the texture was off a little bit for me. The fries okra and potato salad were good! I’d definitely recommend this place and would go back if in the area again!

The atmosphere was pleasant with a cozy, rustic vibe. If you choose outdoor seating, be prepared to deal with quite a few flies. As for the food, it was average. The mozzarella burger was overly greasy, and the Cuban sandwich was just okay.

We visited Palestine, TX for the Texas Railroad ride. The place was recommended by the hotel staff. The menu looked good for my family of 5 -2 adults and 3 children after reviewing the reviews and looking at some posted photos online. The place was nice. Although called a pub, it had a nice family vibe. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside on benches. The children loved it. They were able to run around and play whilst waiting for food. I gave it a 3 star based solely on the taste of the food. The adults ordered 2 different types of burgers - Swiss mushroom and Paty -melt, which came with fries and coleslaw and then children got chicken strips with coleslaw and fries. Both burgers tasted exactly the same. They were unseasoned and had no taste. The chicken strips were overly battered and like the burgers had not taste. Literally I had to search for chicken meat. I must say, the food was piping hot and the fries and coleslaw were good. My wife and I love a good burger and this fell way way short, especially after reading and being recommended that this got a 4.7 star google review.
