My husband and I eat a lot of Mexican food and the food here is, by far, the best we have eaten in years! I had the grilled pork chops and onions and my husband devoured the three enchilada plate. They have the creamest refried beans, so flavorful, and the spanish rice...moist and delicious! Glad we found this place on oyr road trip home from camping!
Excellent service portions and flavor, don't miss out on the daily special, I tried the poblano fajita with fresh guacamole pico, rice and beans and a huge savory sizzling skillet full of veggies and tender fajitas did not disappoint. The decorations, looks a tad outdated, but other than that it's clean and very accommodating. Note If your a driver, it has a wide shoulder that fits an 18 wheeler, and anything smaller just a little bit of a walk, I've been here a few times, definitely recommend you come through.
This place is delicious with some of the best customer service around. I love it! Best fajitas in a country mile.
Met with friends here on the way to College Station. Food was good and service was fine. The server didn't speak English very well, so there was a slight mix up on something we ordered, but everything else was fine. I ate the supreme nachos with ground beef. The nachos did not come with the traditional melted shredded cheese. Instead, they used the pour over creamy melted cheese, which made the dish even better in my opinion.
As someone who travels for a living and loves Mexican food, I can objectively say the food is really good, but not exceptional. Everything my wife and I had was very good and reasonably priced. The most notable thing about this place was the service. The service was phenomenal. All the ladies here work as a team. We had a dedicated server, but all the ladies stopped by our table to ask if we needed anything and they were all very helpful. Every few minutes someone was checking on us. The service is second to none. Literally exceptional. We would happily come here again next time we're in the area.
The food is GREAT! It starts with their very flavorful salsa, and gets better from their! The service is top notch, and prices are very fair. The spinach enchiladas are THE BEST I've ever had! On my return trip though town I got the fried avocado and it was very good as well. I believe the lady at the desk at Super 8 was right when she told me that anything I order would be great.
We were just passing through and decided to stop here. Seemed like a popular spot. Food was pretty good and they make their own tortillas which is a A+ for me. Their table salsa and spicy salsa (green) were amazing!
It was a pretty good first impression. Place is a little bit dated and worn. Good overall family run place. Good food and service. It's really tucked away from the main roadway only accessible via a service road. Tried their signature dish known as Louis Especial or Fajitas a la Louis the owners version of Fajitas that gives you all 3 favourite proteins being chicken, steak and shrimp. Then he adds in bacon 🥓 mushrooms 🍄 and topped with cheese 🧀. Chips were a pleasant surprise being the lighter flakier chips and the salsa was closer to the authentic stuff you would find down in Mexico. This was their premium dish so it was priced accordingly as it should be. Nice booths and no complaints. I wasn't rushed out and I was able to get refills on my Coke , salsa and chips. If I end up at this location being Buffalo Texas again I will most likely be back to try something else off the menu.
I’ve eaten here every time I come to town for work and it’s always great. This time I ordered grilled fish and vegetables which was delicious BUT the veg was mostly bits of chopped broccoli stems 🤣 the flavor was great so maybe I just got the last serving they had. I’ll still come again the next time I’m in town. I just won’t order the vegetable side lol
Not bad if you're looking for a quick stop to wait out the traffic. Haven't had anything bad, salsa is great, queso is okay. Service is wonderful and sweet tea is perfect!
I went in with a party of 3 and was seated pretty quickly. Our drink order was quick and our order was taken quickly. I ordered the street tacos, which have beef fajita meat, cilantro, onions, and lime, and a grilled jalapeño on the side, and I had them add white cheese. One of my parties ordered beef enchiladas, and the other ordered the special combination fajita platter. All the plates were hot, but the fajitas were not on a sizzling platter. The party behind us ordered fajitas, and they came out sizzling, and the smell was to die for. After the food was delivered, that was pretty much the last time we saw our waitress. Teas needed refilling, my jalapeño was missing, and we needed more salsa. We had a very young waiter after the first waitress, and he wouldn't even talk to us. He was told thank you, and he just walked away. I was a little taken back by the staff, but it's Buffalo and there really aren't a lot of choices for Mexican food. The food was good and I would go back. The street taco will call my name!
Not one of the best restaurant I been to while traveling. The service was good, but the food wasn’t that great. I ordered the Tortugas plate. I was expecting more meat from dish. I also think the meat was way too cooked. My avocados were barely fried. The rice was alright. I don’t think I’ll come back to the restaurant.
Food tasted good but my son's Spanish rice had a wire in it. I took it to the waitress showed her she never said another word about it, no I'm sorry or no we will comp your check nothing. It's very dangerous that could have really hurt my son or worse if that would have gotten his digestive system.
Chips and salsa are good. Service is not good. We waited over ten minutes just for our waitress to come by to take our order. We had to wave another waitress down to take our order. When our food finally came, that was the final time we saw our waitress. I asked a question about my meal and she was VERY rude in her response. We will not be back. The food was not impressive at all. I had the Mexican Burro (burrito) and it was okay. The burrito was not evenly stuffed. The sour cream was all on one side, along with the guacamole on the other side. The rice was in the middle. Maybe try stacking the ingredients to make an actual burrito. On a side note: The bus person kept our chips and salsa filled. Kudos to him. He even filled our drinks full. He deserves the tip, not the waitress.
Salsa is great. Good service. Food looked great, but, tasted horrible. The special, fajita's poblano was really weird. Beef tasted off, gamey. Spinach enchiladas didn't taste good. My fried tortagos, fried, stuffed avocado, lacked any seasoning. Not a good meal or experience. Need to work on food and even their margarita. Won't come back.
Place was disgusting , they advertise “authentic” & the place is no where near that .. I’m from south Texas right on the border of Mexico born and raised , just bc they speak Spanish doesn’t mean anything at all the meat used for the nachos tasted like dog food and the mini tacos were overpriced ridiculously for 3 tacos was $17 whilst back home on the border you can 5 mini tacos for $11 with charro beans & rice.. the nacho meat tasted like chili from a can good, I can go on & on but I’m sure yall got the memo; beyond ridiculous and I don’t suggest eating there ever nor will I eat there ever again
Quit going here because of the bad experiences had been having, but decided to go tonight since its been awhile. Remember exactly why I quit going! #1. Was me, a friend and my child. Waiter took mine and friends order of fajitas and before I could say anything about what my child wanted, he walked off. #2. The food was brought to the table quickly. Seem like he had just enough time to walk to the kitchen and back. Fajitas were not even sizzling like fajitas do and the beef was Luke warm. #3. Waiter came to out table only twice. Once to take our order and once to bring our food. Paid 67.00 for a meal that was not even worth 20!. Don't go here!
