I love this place! I come here often to work - the upstairs area is great for working solo or having meetings. It usually gets kind of crowded by about 10am, but I never have trouble finding a table. Drinks are amazing, I love their oat milk chai or sesame latte! Food is good, you have to build your own toast but the ingredients are good quality. Pastries are always perfect! The staff are all really friendly and wonderful, making this a true local gem!
This is not just another breakfast sandwich, it’s really top tier. Perfect cook on the bacon, white cheddar, fantastic roll, but the eggs were so fluffy it made them the standout. Impressive. Coffee is really good as well, and the day old discounted savory scone was welll worth the $2 impulse buy at the register. Also it was nice they had a little lot to park in which some places do not and it makes visiting difficult
It was amazing! The specials were so good. We had the crispy chili toast and the chicken salad. We completely missed the regular menu but what a great mistake. The lavender lemonade and the coffee were good too. I would recommend it! Please note Sundays are VERY busy with line-ups outside the door.
We’ve walked and driven by Five Points Bakery multiple times visiting the surrounding businesses, WOW! Have we missed out! While they’re set back and unassuming, be sure to stop in for some delicious coffee and amazing baked goods. There’s so much space inside and out, you’ll rarely be without a table. I highly recommend Five Points Bakery!
I absolutely love this cafe! It’s super cozy and has such a warm, homey vibe, something you don’t really find often in the US. The food is amazing and honestly reminds me of home. If you’re a matcha fan, you have to try their strawberry matcha, it’s so good! 🍓 And the Eggs & Toast sandwich is just perfect — simple, comforting, and delicious. Definitely recommend stopping by at least once.
We absolutely loved our visit to Five Points Bakery! The outdoor seating area is such a charming spot to relax and enjoy the neighborhood vibe. The coffee was excellent, the matcha was smooth and flavorful, and the breakfast sandwiches were hearty and delicious. But the real standout was the cinnamon toast! It was truly to die for! Everything was fresh, wholesome, and served with a smile. Can’t wait to come back!
This place came recommended, and overall it lived up to the hype 🤗 We were almost overwhelmed by all the delicious-looking options, but Tristan at the register was super helpful—even when we asked him to weigh in on a very apples-to-oranges decision between the tiramisu latte and the chocolate zucchini treat! He confirmed that the Golden Milk had espresso in it, though honestly, we couldn’t really taste it. 🤷♀️ Our hot drink came out iced despite the receipt saying otherwise, but they fixed it quickly and even offered to let us keep the iced one, which was appreciated. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. We will be back for some more loaves!
I live around the corner from this cafe, so I come here a lot, and this place is by far the best cafe/bakery in buffalo imo. The staff are always so friendly, the vibes are always stellar, and the food is delicious! I love how they use coffee in their ice cubes so the iced coffee never tastes watered down! Also, a wonderful atmosphere to hang out for a couple hours and get work done. 5/5 ⭐️☕️💕
Absolutely phenomenal. Great friendly service with wonderful food and drinks. I got the special French Toast Breakfast Sandwich and Butterfly Ube drink with marshmallow cold foam, my partner got the Chili Crisp egg salad & toast special and Cherry Limeade. I loved the eclectic mix of furniture, plants, and artwork that gave a super cozy vibe. A really fun place to eat, chat, or work!
Went here for breakfast. We got the Crumb cake, rhubarb bar, and a special French Toast breakfast sandwich (ham, cheese, egg, served with brown mustard and maple syrup). All the baked items were delicious, especially the crumb cake. Sandwich itself was pretty good too, especially with maple syrup. And of course, the vibe is cozy and cute. I'd happily go back. I do recommend getting here on the early side-it can get pretty busy on weekends.
Good place for breakfast. Delicious cinnamon rolls and unique sourdough croissants. Many toast specials available.
Visiting this area and enjoyed this excellent shop. Wonderful cafe bakery with great indoor seating in a very cozy and comfortable space. What a place chill or warm to with loved ones and friends in Buffalo downtown areas 😎. To me, cheddar scone is the BEST 👍
This place Tucked away in the middle of a westside neighborhood. The quality of the bread is excellent. Probably one of the best loaf of sourdough ive ever had. Had a great variety of breads , desserts and meals. Highly recommended to anyone that wants quality bread especially sourced locally.
A charming place to get coffee/tea and a bite to eat. Small meals or sandwiches are served, not the largest portions but the ingredients are always very high quality. Their bread is amazing and you will want to grab a loaf after eating. The inside gets very crowded but there's always seating available - the upstairs is very large.
The coffee, food, and atmosphere are all wonderful. The space is cozy and inviting, and there is a lot of seating. I've been coming for years and it is still my favorite cafe. It's great to visit with a group, or to come to work, especially because the wifi is good. Final shout out to the staff who is very friendly and accommodating!
Comfortable setting. No wait for seats. Simple food served well. You can also pick up bakery items to take home. I love that they freeze the bread. It keeps the best.
Best egg , cheese and bacon sandwich and coffee that I have ever had! Parking was on the street. It was so busy, and was hard to find a parking spot. Walking to the store was not good. Sidewalks were slippery and snowy. It's up to all home owners to keep up sidewalks.
First time in Buffalo. Stumbled onto this spot. For folks who love good coffee, this spot is no brainer. Incredible cortado, great food, kind staff. Not to mention a beautiful space. Thanks guys!
Great cup of coffee! We stopped in for a morning latte. This was my first time here, and I was very satisfied with the vanilla latte they serve here. There's not a whole lot of seating area inside, but most ordered seemed like they were to go. The service was great. They got our drinks to us quickly... much faster than St*rbucks does. They also serve some food here as well, however I didn't order any, but vital looked delicious. If you are in the area and itching foe a cup of Joe, stop in and give Remedy House a try
Remedy House has a cozy, warm, and easy going atmosphere that's unlike other bean joints around the area. Staff is made up of a bunch real nice folks and I can bring my dog (covered/heated patio seating). Y'all are great 👌
always come here after grabbing some pastries from butterblock! one of my favorite things to do when I come home. they always have such creative flavors in their drinks. I believe they just changed their food menu but the chicken in grass was delicious, as well as their egg rolls. very soft, buttery, and flavorful. come here with family all the time and am always greeted with a friendly face :)
We visited here while staying in the area, and we can back each day for their coffee which was great. I will say the coffee is much better if you order it for there and it comes in a nice mug. The taste and presentation were so much better. One day they ran out of mugs and we had to get a to go cup. We were so disappointed it because it just wasn’t the same. It is located in the middle of the Five Points neighborhood with plenty of outside seating so you can enjoy the views, etc. The area seems to be a local hub of sorts with people walking all around on the weekends. 10/10.
Review of Remedy House, Buffalo Remedy House in Buffalo has a very charming and lively ambience that immediately catches your attention, even from the outside. Although we did not go inside, the atmosphere itself spoke volumes about its popularity and appeal. On a pleasant weekend morning, we saw many people sitting outside and enjoying their breakfast, chatting over coffee, and relaxing in a cozy environment. The place has a warm, welcoming vibe with a mix of modern and classic café aesthetics that make it perfect for casual gatherings or quiet mornings. The outdoor seating area looked well-arranged and comfortable, and the crowd seemed to be a good mix of locals and visitors, which gives a sense of community around the café. The overall setting, with its natural light, greenery, and calm surroundings, made it look like an ideal spot for brunch or a morning coffee. Even without stepping inside, one could feel the positive energy and pleasant rhythm of the place. Remedy House seems to be one of those spots in Buffalo where people come not only for good food and coffee but also for a peaceful and enjoyable experience. Definitely worth visiting next time.
Saw this place featured on a tiktok search of food to try in Buffalo. I am so glad we stopped! Very unique building, decor, and menu. Totally worth the cost for the food. The portion sizes are huge! The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating to my strange allergies. I appreciated the menus being easily accessible while in line. Everything about this place is unique and awesome. Give it a try for sure!
A great local find that has a clean and somewhat hipster vibe. Remedy is literally a remedy if in need of a great cup of coffee or small breakfast. They've got plenty of outdoor seating and outdoor seating. Staff are chilled out and friendly. Drinks, they've got a great selection. For breakfast, they're sausage bagel 🥯 was delicious but if you're a fan of bacon, they make a bacon one too!!
The breads are incredibly good. Great variety, amazing aroma and texture. Loved all the sandwich menu they have, you really will be 10 minutes deciding what to get. Coffee is really good too. Only thing I would say is that the wait time is a little bit long. But if you are around buffalo its absolutely worth having a full, healthy and balanced breakfast here.
Probably the best latte i’ve had in Buffalo after living here for 3 years. The food and baked goods were delicious! We had the chocolate zucchini bread and oat bar and they were so yummy. There is so much space for seating too! The only reason I take it down a star is because I went with someone and in total we got two lattes, two pastries, and shared one meal - the open faced egg sandwich, which was delicious but very small and the total price was close to $50. That’s very expensive, so I wouldn’t come here as much as i’d like to.
Five Points Bakery has a great earthy vibe, it feels like I'm sitting in a treehouse. The staff is very welcoming and attentive, they answered all of my questions. I ordered the French toast sandwich, cinnamon roll, and hot chocolate. I substituted the ham in the sandwich for chicken sausage which tasted great! Everything was high quality, I just wish the sandwiches were bigger because the food isnt cheap.
I got the “egg on a roll #2” if I remember correctly, which had goat cheese and bacon. It was pretty good. The coffee cake my friend ordered was really good, and my coffee was great, I think I ordered the iced bombon. My friend got the brown butter sage latte which I also really liked. It had more of a savory flavor which was unique but I actually enjoyed it a lot.
A great stop for my first "office" of the morning and my first coffee, though the lack of accessible power outlets meant that I was only here for an hour until the power ran out on my laptop and it was time to head onwards. Remedy House appears to be a former home with seating inside and tables outside. I chose a cortado this morning and it was excellent. Served in the proper glass, the right amount of coffee and whole milk. They also have a bunch of baked goods. Friendly service, a neat vibe. But this isn't a laptop hangout.
Good coffee. The interior is basically always busy with limited seating available, especially in the winter. I've been here a ton over the years and was able to get a seat for myself inside only once. As it gets nicer outside, the patio seating is great. I don't recommend taking large groups of people here. Edit: I have to alter my original review due to several recent experiences. This is NOT a great place to grab coffee on the go. I have had to wait 30 mins for a small latte in the last few occasions I've been here. A small latte should not be in the same queue as 10 egg sandwiches. The service model at this place makes no sense.
Came in and tried the salted caramel latte, wasn’t a fan at all. Not sure if it was a bad batch or what though. My gfs cold brew tasted better than mine so maybe it was just what i ordered. The customer service was excellent. I wasn’t a big fan of the other customers who have no manners whatsoever considering how crowded the shop is on saturdays. Might come back to try something else though eventually.
Small cafe right on the five points off of Utica st. There is limited indoor seating but wasn’t too busy with the snow storm that just hit Western NY. The menu only has two breakfast options. There are various different croissants and scones bakes but I ended up ordering the breakfast sandwich with bacon and garlic aioli sauce. It seems strange the bacon and sauce are charged as extra add ons and felt like the amount of sauce was quite stingy. The cortado tasted very good (on the lighter side of medium roast) but it was served far too warm and milk texture was subpar. The first bite of the breakfast sandwich lacked much flavor so I asked for salt and pepper and immediately brought out the taste. The staff were somewhat friendly. Unfortunately, they don’t have Wifi so it’s best to find somewhere else if you’re looking for a place to do some work. I tried to find the top cafe in the area which listen this as one but found it to be nothing spectacular. It’s probably a decent place in the summer or if you just want a drip coffee but I would go somewhere else if you’re looking for breakfast or lunch. I walked across the street to Five Points Bakery and wished I had gone there instead.
I was so excited to try this place since I saw the pictures/instagram, their espresso drinks looked great- I ordered the brown butter sage iced latte w/ oatmilk, unfortunately when it came out I thought it was curdled… instead it was the butter that had turned back into clumps of butter :( I wish someone would have mentioned when I ordered it that it should be ordered hot only- definitely did not enjoy trying to drink it while chewing butter clumps.. very disappointing considering it was almost 7$ and went to waste.. would probably go back and try it hot another time when it’s not so busy
For the steep coffee shop price, I was expecting to get something a little better than a mocha which consists of mostly ice and milk right out of the jug. I have had much better coffee pretty much anywhere else. Also I can appreciate music, but not loud country music blasting in a coffee shop.
been going to five points w my fam for over a decade now (and liked it!) but had a very interesting interaction involving whom I can only assume is the owner/manager of the cafe reprimanding us (because who else would care?) for bringing in half finished to-go drinks from remedy house. we were meeting our friends who had already eaten there, and sat down with them to wait for the spicy chicken sandwich and jalapeno cheddar scone we had just ordered (also to-go). after twenty or so minutes of sitting down (since the sandwich took 35-40 minutes to be made…) this person came up to us and told us it “wasn’t good form” to bring in the remedy house cups, and that we should have ordered five points coffee. ok… heard… and also i have never been told that in my life. generally we don’t like to bring outside food into sit-down establishments (which, is five points even considered a sit-down establishment?) but we were just going to get food to go and meet our friends who had already been there. we weren’t even taking up space that another person could have used. if it was about money and business, we spent at least double at five points than at remedy house, so why were the cups an issue..? the worst part was the spicy chicken sandwich was bland - i would only consider it spicy if black pepper also made me sweat. whole interaction made me wish i just ordered food too at remedy house lol. the scone was bomb tho.
Food has declined significantly in the last few months. Not sure what’s happening. Also saw a mouse eating chips with me. I know it’s winter and these guys need homes but maybe not in a kitchen? Just a thought.
