Very good neighborhood Tavern here with a nice menu selection. I had a Shaved Lamb Melt with a side Salad.

I arrived for an early dinner with my kids. The waitress was so prompt and very attentive. She asked if it would be ok to give the kids teddy bears and I said “of course.” She said the owner likes to give all the kids Teddy bears, what a sweet touch that we’ve never experienced at a restaurant! We had the hummus appetizer, Italian baked fish and kids chicken fingers. All very reasonably priced. We will be returning because they treated us so special. Keep up the great customer service!

Awesome local gem. So much local historical items to look at on the walls and display cases. Its almost like a history museum inside. They arent open everyday, so make sure you check their hours before showing up. I cannot wait to go back!

Great restaurant featuring sandwiches, entrees, and delicious wings! Features local breweries on tap. Looking forward to stopping in for a drink at the full bar. The established is fill with historic nuggets of Buffalo's past, every visit seems to unveil a new artifact. A great place to visit on a date or with the whole family.

Went here for mothers day this year and had a great time. Had breakfast food and it was really good. Place is clean, staff friendly, and food was good. Cant ask for more. Was pretty crowded in there. We did have reservations so that helped. It is located right across from the buffalo zoo.

Just has a delicious birthday dinner at the Parkside Meadow. It was very busy, but we had wonderful service. Jeff and Jamie are the best!! The owner Nancy came over and wished me a Happy Birthday. Great place, feels like home.

Our first time here, but it absolutely won't be our last! Great food & drinks; friendly & efficient service; large portions at VERY reasonable prices; all presented in a quintessential Buffalo atmosphere!

Nice quiet place to eat near the Buffalo zoo. The fish burritos were really tasty and the waitress was nice and friendly. She did a good job serving the food pretty fast.

In the interest of full disclosure, I know the owner. However, this does not change the charm, the excellent quality of the food, the great service, the world class bar. If you want to experience a friendly Buffalo neighborhood tavern, this is your place. The location, right across from the zoo is a plus.

Food was fresh & hot, served with a smile. I truly enjoyed one of my birthday dinners there and will be back soon.

The quintessential neighborhood pub and restaurant, with historical Buffalo artifacts throughout. The owner knows everyone and keeps everyone extremely happy. Family friendly, good food, good service and wonderful people. The Cheers of Buffalo.

Lovely little place full of Buffalo memorabilia and solid homestyle local cuisine. Decent draft beer list, nice specials. Go down Amherst St to I think it's Russell to find parking, you'll never find a spot from Parkside.

I had the turkey club, delicious. My companion had the Reuben, loved it. Also had drinks. Bill including tip was $80.

The parkside meadows is a very nice restaurant and a warm WNY friendly atmosphere. Great photos and artifacts that tell a story of budfalo. Excellent food at reasonable prices. Special shaved lamb is a treat that is not seen very often at restaurants. 11 of us out for dinner and drinks give them 5 stars. Great food, fun, memorabilia and Nancy's excellent make for a fun night out.

The PM is a great neighborhood gathering place. The food Is delicious 30 and there’s always a pescatarian or vegetarian option. I personally love the Lentil wrap. The entire team work their tails off to make sure that you have a good experience!

Parkside Meadow is a fantastic neighborhood spot. Great bar with a wonderful rotating beer selection. The people are awesome and I mean everyone. My wife and I have been here numerous times and it’s always awesome. If it wasn’t enough that the people are great, let’s talk about the wonderful food! The pot roast is out of this world. The burgers are great. Friday fish fry is awesome. French onion soup is on point. Oh, and make sure you save room for dessert. I had the lemon drop cheese case and my wife had the peanut butter chocolate cheese cake last time and they were both delicious. I just don’t think this place can do any wrong. If you want a laid back comfort food dinner, look no further.

My wife and I ordered the Italian fish fry and it was very good. I have also ordered in the past the shaved lamb, which was very good as well. We enjoy the atmosphere. It took longer than normal for the food to come out, but we had a couple of cocktails, and it was all good.

Cozy neighborhood eatery and bar. The staff are friendly and make you feel like a regular on your first visit. The wings are great. Good buffalo sauce and crispy, blue cheese is really good, and I'm a buffalo wing snob. Atmosphere sings old buffalo with antiques and vintage photos.

A very gracious welcome greeting at the door started out an extremely enjoyable dinner. The waitress was friendly and very attentive, both my wife's and my dinners were outstanding, chowder and appetizers were especially good. A visit to the table by the owner..at a respectful socially distanced position, was a truly nice gesture also..something I noticed she did at each table. Great place decorated with interesting Historical displays of the city of Buffalo.

First time visit, went there upon seeing it on Yelp with a good status. Was in the area, looking for a simple spot for supper. Greeted and seated quickly. Very friendly and attentive waitress! We got a parking spot close by, but I can see that being an issue on a busy night. Clean establishment, didn't really see any signs of neglect. I got the Mike Piazza burger, my wife got the BBQ Pulled Pork. Both were served quickly, large portions, hot and as ordered! My sandwich was very good, but a little spicier than expected. The BBQ Pulled Pork was REALLY good! Just kept it simple ... meals and drinks (beer and a tea) were around $36 w/o tip.

Love the atmosphere, there's do much to look at on the walls, a lot of cool old collectible stuff. Food was surprisingly good, nothing too crazy on the menu typical fare, but it was all done well. Reasonably priced. Located right across from the zoo/Delaware park. Great bar area and cozy booths for dining. Will definitely return.

We chose this restaurant because of the diverse menu and because of the decor which is a conversation inspiring! The Parkside neighborhood is great! Full of great architecture, museums, parks, the zoo, and this great restaurant! Enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich immensely. When handed the bill, Was pleasantly surprised to see the total cost of the meal in Canadian $’s offered at a reduced exchange rate! So nice to see that they care about their Canadian customers and want to keep them coming back! Will definitely be back! A big Thank you from your Canadian customers!

Loved the burger, veggie burger, and turkey club. Both the fries and home made chips were great. Service was good.

In a neighborhood full of pub and tavern food Parkside Meadow stands alone in quality, consistency, vibe (awesome decor if you're a history buff) and selection. Our family tried this spot after years of driving by and we came away satisfied. From hostess to servers, bartender and owners you get a welcoming feeling. My daughter feels like celebrity here with how much they spoil her! We try to go as often as we can and bring new guests with us to share this tucked away gem. Personally, we can vouch for the meatloaf, pot roast, wings, roast beef, lentil wrap (my wife's favorite) and any soup or special they offer. I highly recommend giving the Parkside Meadow a try, you will not be disappointed!

Our first visit to Parkside Meadow. We arrived just in time to order food. The fish fry was served quickly and was delicious. The bartender, Jeffrey, was very friendly and an excellent representative for the restaurant. We enjoyed the atmosphere with all the Buffalo memorabilia; a very impressive collection! We look forward to taking friends and family there! We highly recommend this restaurant and bar!

Great food and great service. My wife is gluten free so we're always excited to find a new place that offers gluten free rolls. They also have gluten free rye bread which made my wife extra happy, she got their Reuben sandwich and said it was delicious. Also great decor with old signs and advertising from old Buffalo businesses.

This place was great! I can not say 1 bad thing about it. The server was out of this world, it was my first time there, and the server told the owner, and the owner came to the table and spoke to us. You can tell she loves what she does. She actually sent out a piece of key lime pie for us, and it was delicious! The food was amazing, I can not wait to go back!

Nancy, the owner is a very heart-warming woman. So much history in this restaurant too! The onions rings are phenomenal and the savory-spicey sauce that goes with this appetizer was great. My girlfriend had the black bean veggie burger, and i had a Turkey Club. Both of which were great and filling. Definitely a must visit while you're on this side of town in Buffalo.

The Sunday brunch was amazing. By and far the best meal we've had while we were in Buffalo. Staff was very friendly and open and got to know us. My husband said his was worth the trip from Alabama to New York. I had the special French toast and it was heavenly. So much yumminess on one plate!

Stopped here after touring Darwin Martin House which is a short walk away. My daugther had Italian haddock and she loved it as it was light and delicate. Son had fried haddock and he also loved it. I had the fried bologna and really, really enjoyed every bite. The decor was interesting and you could spend hours learning the history of Buffalo from all the bits and pieces displayed. Nancy the owner was wonderfully welcoming and we enjoyed talking with her. Great Place.

Excellent food and atmosphere! Have been several times, great location. Brought out-of-town family members and they enjoyed as well. It's a great spot to bring out-of-towners because there are many Buffalo-style favorites on the menu (beef on weck, fried baloney, fish fry, etc), and you can't beat the Buffalo memorabilia all around the restaurant!!

L
Laurie Kostrzewski

We love it. Its a great neighborhood place. Food is stick-to-your-ribs good. Atmosphere is soooo cozy. I love having a glass of wine at the bar before or after we have dinner. Good also for lunch with friends and brunch with my husband - ALL good!

A great little place to check out in the morning. I love stopping by before heading to the zoo. Usually not too crowded around 830 which is an awesome way to start a relaxing morning. Everyone is always so friendly here and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend

I really like their location. Every time I go to the Buffalo zoo I go here to grab some lunch. This is the nearest restaurant near the zoo. It’s just opposite to the zoo. I really like their ambiance and service. My family and I got a chance to meet the owner and what can I say he’s a sweetheart !! Apart from all that they have some good burgers and fries !

S
Sylvia McCann

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service, we had Hannah as our server for a Saturday late lunch. I got the house burger and really enjoyed it, the fries are on par with being a good McDonald's knock off. Only negatives I really have is that the diningroom could really use a good "up" dusting on the fans and tops of pictures and I got the snickers PB pie which was extremely dense and fudge like, can't really taste any PB or Carmel. To be fair to them, it's not an in-house made item. Overall enjoyed our visit and plan to return!

Just had an incredible experience at Parkside Meadow and couldn't wait to share it with you all! From the moment I stepped into this culinary haven, I was met with a warm and inviting ambiance that set the perfect tone for the evening. The menu? A delightful mix of comfort food that had my taste buds dancing with joy! Oh, and the ambience? Simply gorgeous! But what truly sets this hidden gem apart is their outstanding service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure I had an unforgettable time - their attentiveness and genuine friendliness made me feel like a VIP. If you're in the mood to indulge in a truly welcoming and mouthwatering dining experience, Parkside Meadow has got you covered. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

We were there for dinner yesterday (Saturday night). It was packed and busier than they expected with the Zoomagination going on. There was one waitress for at least 10 tables and the bartender also waited on tables on the other side. Our waitress Sara was amazing and never rattled considering how many tables she had. Two assistants bussed tables and brought out food with the cook even helping out. Although we waited longer because of the situation our orders were perfect, the food was great and everyone had a positive attitude. Kudos! Will definitely be back!

I love this cozy little gem right across from the zoo. The service we had was wonderful. The younger staffer with long brown hair..well not so polite. Rude actually. The older wait staffer also long brown hair was really nice. Anyway, the beef on weck was delicious, as were the spinach garlic bread and poutine appetizer we shared among 6 of us. The atmosphere is quietly pleasant and intimate. I really liked the restaurant vibe.

What a nice addition to the neighborhood! Food choices are pretty good. They really get a 4.5☆ rating because I know they'll keep improving. Atmosphere was fun, lots of vintage things to check out. Molly, our server, was so pleasant and knew just when to stop by our table. Wait for food was not long. Casual dress works. What a great place to go after a day at the zoo, or when you don't want to cook!

Wonderful atmosphere with old artifacts from a Buffalo from long ago. The menu is fresh and interesting serving poutine as well as fish tacos. Small but respectable wine and beer selection. Consistently good. Edited: Over the past few months my partner and I have been in search of the best vegetarian burger. Well we found it. Hands down, the Meadow makes the best Beyond Burger. We ask for the sirracha mayo. Don't ski it. It really adds to the flavor, but with or without it the burger is unbelievably like beef. It has the texture of beef; it's almost bloody as well. Just look at the pics and decide for yourself. We're addicted.

We were with a group of 12 people Angus haff very good service, especially since I had the impression this was a larger table then isual for this restaurant. The majority of the orders eye variations on the Friday fish fry. I chose a broiled haddock with spicey Cajun seasoning. Fish was cooked berry well, nice and moist, And read served with FF and coleslaw $14 is a competitive price for the area. Generally good food made better by patient and efficient service.

S

As a middle eastern I have to say that what you serve is NOT HUMMUS. It doesn’t taste like hummus, it doesn’t smell like hummus, the consistency is completely wrong. (Hummus can be thick or more runny depending on preference but the hummus here was very very dry? It tasted as though it had an abundance of different spices, too many, though I couldn’t taste garlic or lemon.) If you want to create your own kind of chic pea dip feel free but calling it hummus and making it completely wrong is honestly kind of offensive to our culture. besides the hummus the food was really great and I would absolutely recommend! (I’ve had traditional Arabic food from all over the Middle East, this review is only to be helpful.)

P

Excellent service! Food was VERRY good. Nice atmosphere. We had the shaved lamb sandwich. Omgosh. .can I tell you. .so good! However. .quite pricey. When you charge 14.95 for a sandwich, I believe you could throw in a few fries. There was a 2.50 up charge. That's 17 dollars for a sandwich! That's just rediculous! So. .this is the reason for 4 stars not 5..and we will not be returning any time soon.

Cozy little pub/cafe near the Zoo and the Frank Lloyd Wright Martin House. Two large ‘cups’ of soup and splitting a Reuben sandwich was all delish and more than enough to eat. Hard to catch the server’s eye even though it wasn’t crowded, this the ding of one star in this review.

A

The atmosphere is very pleasant, old fashioned feel to it; the bar is great for having a drink or a meal; the staff is friendly and service is good. It's a place where I can go, alone, and not feel the least uncomfortable. And there's outside seating in the good weather, another plus.

Great atmosphere, good service. Wonderful pieces of old Buffalo history decorate the walls ..I could actually carry on a pleasant conversation for once, unlike some other loud resturants I have been in lately. Food was enjoyable, had the 3 piece sandwich slider special featuring roast beef, pulled pork and fried baloney.. will be back for the fish fry..

Stopped at dinnertime Saturday. Greeted and seated promptly. Service was quick and attentive. Fish was good, lazy pierogi special was overcooked and dry. We have been here a few times, and sandwiches and wings were always excellent. We will probably stick with those items next time.

Before visiting Frank Lloyd Wright’s Martin House for a 1:30 tour, we grabbed what we hoped to be a quick lunch at this quaint restaurant. We needed more time than we planned! I ordered the daily special of a gyro sandwich with fries. The only thing served hot was the pita. Meat and fries were room temperature. My wife fared better by ordereing wings with bourbon sauce on half and garlic-parmesan seasoning on the rest. They were excellent.

My boys had come here before & loved the poutine, so they wanted to go back & have me try the place. It's small inside, but cozy, IMO. There's also a bar connected to the dining area. My boys each ordered Poutine, my son Jeremy got a Chicken Quesadilla as well & coffee. My son Matty got the "Len's Loaded Burger" and Cheese Fries, & I ordered the Spinach Garlic Bread & the Beef on Weck. My sandwich was good, but could've used a bit more beef, my salad had odd lettuce, it was kind of sharp on the edges & kept making me cough. But it was still yummy. I had some of my son's poutine which was very good , his cheese fries were good, but not enough cheese. My other son's Quesadilla was ok, but a bit dry. (Yes, I tried everything at the table but my son's HUMONGOUS 11oz Burger. Prices were quite high for some of the stuff. The check came to over $70.00, which for that, was a bit much. I left a bit hungry, but my boys were stuffed & liked everything. The waitress we had was super nice & always seemed to show up when we needed her. So that was a plus !! I will go back to try more things on the menu & maybe get the poutine for my self next time.

Great brunch! Great historic atmosphere for Buffalo history nerds and otherwise. Edit: normally great service but today it was less than desirable. A server named Jaime was inflexible, unwilling to ask the kitchen questions about the food, and borderline rude. Sad to see the restaurant vetting process go down in quality. I still feel like the restaurant itself is a great place to go....

G
Greg Proefrock

Good atmosphere. Full of old-time Buffalo artefacts, collectibles, trivia, but not crowded and rediculous like a gimmick. It's like a small museum. Food quality is average. Good for burgers and similar traditional Buffalo food, with fries or salad. Some good beers on tap. 12 oz glasses if you like less, or full pints if you like more. Prices fair. Casual culture.

My first time I had a fish fry. The place is clean a little bit cold. Service was good the food was good the only thing missing with a fish fry was the rye bread that should be part of it as well as the macaroni salad for the prize they could have done that.

Food was good but nothing to write home about, with a very long wait for two people. Service wasn't great. Clean and cute little restaurant with a nice atmosphere (excepting the depressing music). Large beer/wine menu with a decent sized food menu.

Met a friend here and it's a cute historic bar vibe. Service was polite and the Beef on Weck was good... but the hummus and potsticker apps were NOT seasoned and very bland. For over $100 with tax and tip for 3 lunch entrees and 2 appetizers with NO alcohol... I expected better.

Neighborhood place (on-street parking or walking) with a cozy atmosphere. Fish fry was average, but on the higher price range ($19.99, although their website listed $16.99 when checked). I prefer a sweeter, finer, less crunchy cole slaw. Cole slaw is served in a small plastic cup, and tartar sauce in a tiny plastic cup. Side salad was small and very basic. No rolls or bread. Nice batter on the fish, though. Coffee: so so. If I go again, I'll look for other options than the fish fry. But lots of people were there so they seem to be doing fine.

We went here for a Ten Lives Club event; it was great to see such a small venue accommodate a fundraiser!! The food, however, was not impressive. I ordered homemade Mac & cheese & I liked that it was made with farfalle pasta but flipping the pasta over it appeared like they simply poured the cheese sauce over the pasta instead of cooking it together. The place was PACKED - nearly every table was filled. Altogether not a bad experience but would have appreciated food prepared with more care.

We went in Friday for a fish fry. Food was very delicious. The service was terrible. I only seen one waitress in the main dining room, which is pretty unusual on a Friday night in a restaurant. Just some positive feedback maybe you should consider getting two servers in the dining room for some better service.

Kevin Carney

Service was a bit too slow to but justified especially given that it wasn't super busy. Food was just okay. Two people in our party got their food and it was lukewarm at best, one of them being Mac n cheese which really needs to be hot and melty.

Overall we were disappointed with our experience at Parkside Meadow Restaurant. We went for their fish fry that was advertised as Step Out Buffalo's 11th best in the Buffalo area. The quality of fish was decent but the batter was subpar, resulting in a fish that shouldn't be on this list. That being said, the main issue was the "loaded burger" that my girlfriend ordered. It was $15 for an extremely bland and overcooked chunk of ground beef. My girlfriend, who is not typically picky left hungry instead of finishing her meal. Service was average at best. I would give 2.5 stars if I could.

Roasted Portobello Mushroom Pasta was a poor choice on my part. Alot of pasta, a scoop of topping—mostly peppers but only a few pieces of a mushroom. I’ve seen and tasted portobellos before; my dish had maybe 1 ‘shroom minced and no flavor. Surprisingly disappointing dish; if I return I’d order something like a burger that can’t be skimped.

I was disheartened to hear about my family’s experience yesterday. When I visit with my mom in Buffalo, we would always visit this restaurant. We will not return due to comments by the owner referring to “the blind woman”. She is much more than that and it is unfortunate that you will not be able to learn more about her, as we will never return. My stepdad always treats us when we go out for meals and tips very well. We will certainly share our experience with our friends and family as well as anyone who asks.

We ordered frequently from the Park Meadow last year-excellent food, reasonable prices, and extraordinary service. We ordered last evening only to be quite disappointed. Our order arrived lukewarm. I wasn’t even sure that my tuna melt had cheese. The onion rings had an odd breadcrumb coating that was barely edible. And our sandwiches were accompanied by a pathetic looking pickle-not the homemade potato chips as advertised. Not exactly the meal we had anticipated, especially from the Park Meadow.

Basic bar food. I just picked up food but the food basic bar food. The burgers are ok, pretty big but their frozen burgers and the pasta was super oily. But all in all just basic bar food, something quick. EDIT: Had to change to one star because of the unprofessional response. I was making an observation based on what I was served. But thanks for the response and have a good one.

My friends and I came for a drink last Saturday 6/21 as this is local to us and wanted to try. They literally locked the door in our face. No sorry we are closing, etc, nothing. My friend literally had their hand on the handle of the door. It seems as though they do not care for those with melanin in their skin.

6 of us stopped in after Music in Bloom last night. The hostess was lovely. Sat us & brought water. After 10 minutes the waitress came & took our order. Another 10 minutes passed before drinks came . Never brought a Coke. After waiting 45 minutes we went to the bar where the waitress liked hanging out & asked about the food. She & the hostess then brought it out. The waitress excuse was " we ran out of wings" Everything was lukewarm as if it had been sitting around awhile. Waitress never asked how the food was or if any beverages were needed. She dropped the bill off which was wrong so up to the bar to get her again to have it corrected. Not a good experience 😕
