We’ve ordered twice in the past two weeks from India Gate on Hertel and it’s been great. Large portions, delicious, easy online order and pay. Outstanding. Great to have good Indian food back in the neighborhood!
Service was amazing we got there a half hour before he closed and he was so kind. Food was delicious. Highly Recommend!
This is our go-to take out during quarantine hands down!! We drive 30 minutes to pick it up and they never disappoint. Definitely worth trying, especially if you’re new to Indian cuisine.
My daughter picked up a birthday dinner for me on Sunday, everything was delicious! We had potato samosas, pakoras, lamb vindaloo, chicken coconut curry, a vegetarian dish with cheese squares (I do not remember the name) and plenty of rice to go with each entree, which had plenty of scrumptious sauce! Loved it!!
We are never disappointed at India Gate, a family owned and run business where they really care about quality and service. Mr. Singh Bath, the owner/host, is a gracious and delightful man who will come to your table throughout your meal to make sure that everything is right, and to engage you in interesting conversation if you care to talk with him. He loves Buffalo, enjoys his work, and truly appreciates and remembers his customers! India Gate is reasonably priced, comfortable and authentic. We tried another, newer place in North Buffalo (name withheld) a few weeks ago, and it didn't compare. Watch for India Gate's new patio to be opening in time for summer.
It was my best time while I was making my class project at Buffalo State College. It was all about the place you think people should to go and see. And I like food , which must have to be comfortable place and good food. So, I was sure to make my project about food. And beginning of the project the 1st think came in my head, is India Gate Restaurant. I go their 4-5 times in month. Their inside of the restaurant view and with their delicious food just mind blowing. And I wanna let know to my class about best food, best place. 1st think that is comfortable place, I would say best India Gate. We talk with owner about their food to get more ideas. It was really good talk with him. Smart guy. Owner is very friendly and when you will enter in the restaurant you gonna feel like someone special. They welcome people very nicely. And food is very delicious. Very clean and good smell with quite music. During this project I went their 2 time to eat with my friend. They loved their food. We try lam Munglai, house special biriani also garlic naan bread which is really good. Yesterday i had last day for the project and in evening me with my professor and my class friend went there to eat food. And everybody liked it. All I want to say thank you India Gate Restaurant. For your Good service and delicious food.
OMG. I LOVED everything I ordered at India Gate. Excellent Indian food right on Elmwood! Fast service, delicious vegetable biriyani, deep fried appetizers were to die for (during our state lockdown especially!) The Chicken Curry was delicious and I wished I had ordered 2 of them to keep for a few days. It took me until grad school to try Indian food - and now I consider it my go-to comfort food. Deliciously tasty food, that offers a warming feeling -with slightly spicy sauces, and a side of raita to cool it down a little. In the midst of this coronvirus crisis - I live alone and have been afraid to trust "just anyone" making my meals for me...but I trusted the owners here to take necessary safety precautions. I have decided that if I get a good week of working out and eating lightly this week on our lockdown - I will order from them weekly as my reward! Thanks for being there during this crisis - it was hard to trust a take out order...but so I am glad I did!
I got food from here tonight for the first time and it was AMAZING! The spicy was beyond spicy which was perfect for us!! The masala dishes we got (chicken and tofu) were cooked to perfectIon and can we get a shout out for the amazing garlic naan! Worth your time and you’d be supporting an extremely friendly staff!
My favorite Indian restaurant in Buffalo - their palak paneer is the best I’ve ever had. The owner is so kind & hospitable. Take out always comes with a complimentary side of raita & rice pudding which is so nice - no other India restaurant I’ve tried does this! I love this restaurant so much.
The India Gate Restaurant was an accidental find for us on our way back from Niagara and it met our demanding expectations on all fronts. We had Dal Makhani and Malai Kofta which was very delicious. The decor was elegant and the service was prompt and courteous.
Surprisingly I found some good food near Niagara. A must visit for folks who want good and quality food. Ordered veggie platter, mutter paneer, paneer achari, yellow daal , lassi and roti. Everything tasted amazing. Give it a try and share with loved ones!
The chicken makhani was incredible!!! The sauce is the best and India Gate is the only one in the Buffalo/ Niagara area that puts cashews and golden raisins in their sauce. It is the best!!! I also love their rice pudding.
In my opinion the best Indian buffet hands down. I have been coming to India Gate for 19 years and seen it pass through several different owners. I have loved them all. I have also tried most of the other Indian food buffets throughout Buffalo and am always happy to return to India Gate. They offer so many dishes daily on their buffet and they keep it fresh and hot. They also offer chai and a lassi on their buffet. Their dishes are not overly sugared like many other restaurants. Best of all, their servers are wonderful people who always make sure your table is cleaned of dirty plates and your water glass is always filled. Keep in mind they do close for a short time during the day between 2:30 and 4:30...no crying at the door.
I have had very high quality food here everytime I went. I especially recommend the Malai kofta which were heavenly. Management here is incredibly gregarious and the portion sizes are fair. I highly recommend the dinner buffet every Wednesday night. All of the buffet food is incredibly fresh and tasty. None of the dishes are overwhelming in regards to spice profile. Can't recommend this place enough
Amazing food and the kindest welcoming people. Visited buffalo for the first time and this is def a fav!!!
My absolute favorite Indian food spot in Buffalo. My boyfriend and I come here at least twice a month for Indian. They also make a really amazing mango lassi. You will not regret coming here. To top it all off the owner is one of the kindest people we have met. Thank you for the amazing food and service!!
My favorite Indian place in town. This is always really delicious. They deliver which is really nice and there is a parking lot in back which makes parking nice. I order from here multiple times per month and it's always great, they've never gotten an order wrong or anything. They have a great lunch buffet as well.
We had an excellent dinner. We ate butter chicken and Panner Malai and Naan. The food was delicious and the service was very personable. Only good things to say.
Went for dinner. Food tastes really good. Can ask for any spice level. Menu has a variety of items. And quantity was quite a big portion. The place is run by a Sikh family and they are very courteous and treat you well.
We live in the neighborhood and have been patronizing India Gate for decades! We love it!! We will support this establishment every chance we can. It is near (literally) and dear to us, the food is so so good, and the people who run it, and work there are so friendly and nice! Every experience has been great for the nearly 20 years we have been going!!
I ordered the vegetable platter and the butter chicken tikka masala and they are delicious! I usually stop at their booth at the Taste of Buffalo and love their offerings. The food is fresh and delicious and the people are courteous. They don't skimp on portion sizes either. I can't wait to celebrate something so I can go there again! FYI -the server told me they have parking in the back.
The best Indian food I’ve ever had! The atmosphere and service were both amazing! 100% recommend to anyone! They’re very accommodating with different levels of spice and vegetarian options as well!
Honestly can’t recommend enough. I’ve been going here for many years and I’ve never had a less than great experience. The food is absolutely amazing, the staff are genuinely kind, and the atmosphere is cozy and perfect. Just got takeout for the first time and they included rice pudding for free which I LOVE. Thank you so much! ❤️
No buffet but the menu is extensive, we ordered combo apps which was perfect for 3 people and a good selection recommended by our server and he helped us decide on a lamb, chicken and veg main dish which the 3 of us shared and had a small meal leftover, excellent Indian food can't wait to go back
Great place! Amazing Indian food for a very reasonable price. The people are also extremely friendly, the place is super tidy and gives a proper Indian vibe. Best place to have food near Niagara.
India Gate is where i met with Indian Cuisine. I can’t eat out very often because I have a gluten allergy however everything I ate here (Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka, Appetizer Cheese Platter) we’re all safe for me. They were absolutely delicious as well. We had to come back a week after to have some indian food again! Very flavorful! The ambiance of the place is also very unique. A great dinner date restaurant. I believe the place is a family owned business which is amazing, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely must visit in Buffalo.
Great food ! Great service ! We had a variety of vegetarian dishes and the best vegetable biryani which reminded me of the taste back in India . The service was very good and respectful :)
DELICIOUS North Indian food. We ordered everything with a spice level “spicy” and it was authentically hot. The spices in the butter chicken and veggie vindaloo were a amazing and Jaspal’s original cocktails were a treat! (Love the tamarind margarita). My first Google review!
Wow! This food was delicious! I went for the daily lunch buffet (only 11 bucks!) on "snowstorm" Saturday and I have to say me and my group of friends were impressed. The buffet offered plenty of options for both meat and veggie waters and there were delicious mango milkshake and Chai tea drink options too.
Whenever I go to buffalo I always visit there for dinner and lunch buffet. They offered so many options ! Never miss to go there.Delicious food . They have option of non veg and veg both . I personally like their vegetarian dish.Nice ,clean and quiet place with good quality music. Best for hangout with friends/ have a meeting/visitors Owner always come and talk with customers friendly. I got a chance to talk with him ,he is Humble guy. I wish before I visit buffalo again you will open ! Cause don’t wanna miss Your restaurant yeamm food ....
India gate will always be special to us. The food is always fantastic and decently priced. The service is always wonderful. This company catered our wedding and we still have people telling us how delicious and memorable the food was.
India Gate makes incredible food. I almost got Jim's, then remembered that instead of filling my gut with regret I could treat myself to some brilliant and flavorful real food I would love. Note when selecting your heat level, even "hot" can make you sweat. Delightful.
My husband and I had the most delicious vegetarian, chickpea dish with fried bread, as well as tandoori chicken, and Naan bread. The food is phenomenal. We were extremely pleased with the service, not to mention the abundance of food and exceptional service tonight. We would definitely return if we are visiting this area again. Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience!
My first time their , food was excellent
Everything was great. I ordered take out and the PORTIONS were BIG, like double the size of other spots in the area. Food was bomb. They even read my request and added extra veggies to my dish - so few places do that with DOORDASH orders. They included complimentary sides with lots of rice. So happy this place is still around. Thanks for a wonderful meal!!
Great food and very pleasant service. I also enjoyed their music. The Beef Samosas were the best I’ve ever had!
The food was very delicious! We ordered the garlic naan (delish), extra spicy tofu Kashmiri (wonderfully spicy), and the Chana saag (rich and tasty!) All vegetarian! And the fig lassi!! A surprising banger!! And the portions were generous. The ambiance was very relaxed and the staff were very considerate and had us feel welcome.
consistently good food. friendly service and affordable, too update: I've been living where I have for 3 years and this is my go-to indian spot. all the dishes are excellent. apps, curries, meat-forward entrees. service is excellent, too. even if it wasn't the closest to my apartment I'd travel for it
We love this restaurant: The family and staff are so kind, and the food is wonderful. Our meal was so good, and the service excellent. We are always treated like a member of the family when we come here. The owner always remembers guests, and your guests! We always order a large meal with many types of food. All the food is excellent; including the homemade breads, vegetable and lamb samosas, and chutneys. The butter Chicken Masala is the best I have had. Food is seasoned to taste. Vegetarians can easily find an excellent meal here, as well. The atmosphere is lovely, and they serve authentic beers and good wines.
Wow 🤩 I am so impressed. I was able to order with ease on their website, which was easy to navigate and explained each dish in full. The food was ready right when they said it would be. My husband went in to pick it up and the lady was SO friendly. They also hooked us up with a dessert 🍨 and extra Naan. The portions were also heaping - I am pretty sure I will be eating 🍽 This incredible food for many meals. I will be a repeat customer. Thank you so much. We are so happy to support you during these difficult times for business owners. ❤️
India Gate is an excellent restaurant, and I strongly recommend eating here. Literally the best food I ate in Buffalo. The service was quick, the prices low, the staff friendly, and the food was INCREDIBLE. While visiting Buffalo for two weeks, it was the only place we ate that was so good we made a point of eating there multiple times before our trip ended. They have a sizable menu spread, plenty of variety in options, a generous vegetarian section, and again, Every Single Thing We Ate Was Delicious. They had some kind of freshly made spicy green chutney/masala that we gushed so hard over, the chef sent us home with a small container of it. If I visit Buffalo in the future, it will be the first place I revisit.
One of the best Indian cuisine restaurants me and my family have ever eaten at. The food is very fresh and tasty and the customer service is very fast and high quality. The workers are very friendly and helpful. There is great menu variety and each item is very delicious. We came all the way from Baltimore and we really enjoyed the meal. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will definitely eat here again.
I can't say enough good things about this restaurant!! We love coming in on buffet night so that we can try as many dishes as possible. The food is always fresh, hot, and interesting. The wait staff is very pleasant and a visit from the roving owner is always so nice. If you want a break from the ordinary and some wonderful comfort food, try India Gate and become a fan too! 💙
Excellent food! The quality was great. Service was polite and accommodating They even served a birthday dessert for my daughter. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food served.
We had both the buffet and ordered off the regular menu, both times were very, very good. The food was fresh, the flavors were well put together and it was clear the owners were very eager to please and deliver authentic, homecooked Indian cuisine. The atmosphere was pleasant, clean and comfortable. We will visit often and recommend to our friends.
We are new to Buffalo and this was one of the first restaurants we went to and the dishes were fantastic and the waiter was super friendly and helpful! If you like Indian food give this place a shot!
Painlessly ordered on line. All parties viewed the menu and texted me their preferences. In the words of one of my guests "They really have their act together!" I painlessly selected and viewed my large complicated takeout order as I went (even selecting the level of spice for each dish), pressed the button and received an immediate response that my order would be ready in 35 minutes. It was ready for pickup when they said, and the food was delicious as always. I miss the buffet, but we'll all get by for now. I have never been disappointed at India Gate.
The food is prepped so quickly here! I was told 35 minutes but showed up early (knowing they are quick) and the food was ready to go. Everything was delicious! I ordered the lunch special veggie curry, which is enough for me to have two lunches. Highly recommend!
India gate catered our wedding and did a phenomenal job! Curating our menu with the chef was seamless and he provided good recommendations for the types of food we wanted for the buffet for our Friday night event. He also was able to cater our sit down dinner and cocktail hour which turned out great. The food was very tasty and we got a lot of compliments from our guests on how good it was! Chef Jaspal was very professional and it was a pleasure working with him. I would highly recommend India Gate to cater your next event!
Came with a large group to celebrate my son’s graduation. The food was amazing! The service was excellent! Will definitely come again
This is my favorite restaurant. The food is amazing, the buffet offers plenty of choices, and the price is very fair. Many of my friends are hesitant to try Indian food, but once they do, they'll be sure to come back again and again EDIT- They have been closed for a few months because of a fire, but now they're back open. They're as delicious as ever and the dining room looks better than ever. I'm thrilled!
Amazing Indian food and super vegan friendly. They have a separate vegetarian menu and tofu dishes menu and are very knowledgeable about what can be made vegan using coconut milk/cream. We had the tofu masala and it was so incredibly creamy and delicious. We also got paratha and roti bread and they just made it with no butter on it (bread itself does not contain dairy). Samosas were perfect, really everything was! Portions were HUGE and they were super generous with the rice (in my photo that is the rice for 2 entrees together in one container). Will definitely be back and highly recommend to any fellow vegetarians and vegans. The staff were also incredibly nice! Support small businesses during this difficult time!
Food was soooo amazing, great service, and so may vegetarian options. Can’t recommend enough.
always love the delicious food here and the staff are incredibly friendly ! my fiancé and i have been coming here for years and we've never disliked a single thing we've ordered. everyone i know who has eaten here has only had positive things to say and when there's so much good food in buffalo, that's definitely high praise. i will always come back here and couldn't recommend it enough!
We visited India Gate on Elmwood Ave. for lunch on a recent trip to Buffalo and the food, as usual, was fantastic! They offer many vegan options, so we had lots of choices. We decided to try some new vegan dishes, rather than our usual fare of Gobi Alu and Dal, since we had enjoyed eating here many times in the past and we were feeling adventurous. We ordered the Jeera Alu and the Baingan Bhartha and both were simply amazing!! Highly recommend these dishes. We forgot to order Roti with our meal, and when we requested it be added, our server thoughtfully asked if we would like it “dry” (without ghee). We were delighted that he remembered we were vegan and made a point to ask us. We are still swooning over this meal and will definitely be visiting again on our next trip.
I visited this place with my family to US. We ordered snacks like vegetable Manchurian, Gobi Manchurian, and beverages like Mango lassi, strawberry lassi and fig lassi (must try it) for main course paneer achari dish, garlic naan and complimentary rice. The staff gave you a lot of space and were not very present in the restaurant. The snacks itself was tasty but paneer achari on sour side not like that soo much. The prices are good and you get a large portion of food. The restaurant is spacious and you can take your time here. Not sure I would come here again, but I enjoyed my visit. It is a good place if you want a very long relaxed meal.
My favorite Indian place in all of Buffalo. Good portions, delicious food. Hosted my bridal shower and made it very wonderful and special.
My boyfriend and I have started going here ritually when we can’t agree on what to eat for date night. I love the atmosphere, great food, it’s very hospitable. I got a cocktail for the first time yesterday that I loved. Highly recommend!
Just like I remembered back in college days of 03-07!! Food is always hitting and the prices are great even after all these years and inflation!! Was looking like only one person was waiting on tables and cashing out the checks after you finished eating, he couldn't be everywhere at once but he was very good! The atmosphere is pretty dim lighting and very relaxed. I would recommend to anyone who loves Indian food or that is trying out for the first time!!!
The atmosphere is so beautiful, dim lighting, lovely color changing lights, framed velvet tapestries with glittering strands through them, bright colored walls with hand painted designs, blacklight lit art that glows with beautiful colors, the tables are spaced for adequate privacy, and they also have high backed comfortable booths which are extremely private. Theres always indian music playing which is really nice too. The Tv was showing different scenes from india. I wish I had taken more photos of the food but its so good that when my meal came i was so anxious to dig in that i forgot. we havent had anything bad here. although i suspect the sambusa may be frozen and not fresh, and I didn't like the paratha. (nellai banana leaf restaurant has Amazing paratha!) the chicken tikka appetizer was great. my friend said the lamb and vegetables was one of the best meals he's ever had. the chicken shahi korma, chicken muglai, and malai are all DELICIOUS!! All three are the best I have ever had from any Indian restaurant I've ever tried. i let my friend try some and he was in love with them also. you literally have to refrain from licking the bowls clean, thats how delicious they are. the kitchen took direction well, when i asked for my naan to be lightly baked, they did so, which i appreciated. the owner is super friendly and kind, I love this restaurant and we will always go back
India Gate is and always will be our go to place for Indian food. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, the food is a masterpiece for your tastebuds and the owner, as well as the employees are super friendly. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and give it 10 stars!!!
My husband and i were looking for AUTHENTIC Indian food and we googled india gate and to no avail, we made way to the restaurant. We ate lamb biryani and it was very delicious. Not dry and was all moist and juicy. We went back for the buffet and they had a lot of variety from chicken curry to vegetarian meals. Buffet is really cheap and is really worth the money. We will come back for the tandoori chicken because we saw a lot of customers ordering them and the smell still lingers in my nose. New edit October 2019: we went there again! Ate lamb biryani and still tastes the greatest. Ordered Keema Naan and it was delicious. I really love the strawberry lassi it was something new and tasty I would order it again. The wait was a little long but they practically just started dinner service when we showed up plus we had a fun time with the music playing in the background and awesome new interior design. Made it felt more romantic that last visit for sure. Will be going back again no matter what.
This is by far the best Indian restaurant we have tried in Niagara Falls and Buffalo area during our 7-8 trips. Food is good and ambiance is nice. Not too crowded like other restaurants near falls that serve buffet throughout the day. Except Chicken Josh, all other items we ate were great. Paneer Tikka Masala and Malai Kofta was outstanding, Naan and all breads were freshly made and were very delicious. Biryani was not very good looking but tasted very good. One star less that perfect 5 is due to the below expectation service. May be due to Covid they are not operating with full staff but the service needs to be improved, will not go into specifics. Would definitely return when we are in this area again.
Okay, so India is massive. It has tons of cuisines within it, and I'll admit I like some more than others and have NO clue what is what. I went for the Wednesday buffet so I could definitely find something I like. Good move. Parking is really hard to find, be warned! Especially if you're parallel parking shy. I really loved the Palak (greens) dishes, but the others tasted off to me... in a sweet way. I'm not used to sweet curries or Kormas. But I'm glad I got the buffet. The service was great and the employees seemed sweet.
The food was too awesome. We came from naigara while going home it was a good 👍
The Indian food at this restaurant is of excellent quality. We ordered naan along with paneer mutter and paneer tikka masala, which were both delightful. The only drawback is the lack of sufficient staff, as there was only one person managing all the orders.
Quality Indian food in a nice simple atmosphere. They offer a variety of levels of hotness for whimpy Americans and for well seasoned lovers of a good eastern spice war in your mouth. The menu is plentiful in it's varieties. As a local, the good food and reasonable prices make me a regular.
While working in Buffalo for the weekend my boyfriend and I stopped here for a bite to eat. We both got the butter chicken with a side of extra nan bread, it was very delicious! The chicken was soft and the butter sauce was super creamy. The nan was even softer and had a nice butter glaze to make it even more delicious. The portions are so large that we took almost half of our meal with us! A great price for the portion size. The only downsides aren't about their amazing food, the service was a tad slow and the bathroom was not clean. Next time we are in Buffalo we will defiantly stop back in, we recommend you do the same!
Food was average. Everything had almost the same base. More than all that the service was horrible. The guy who was taking the order and serving the food have no idea how to talk to the customers and what customer service is basically. Its as if he is giving away free food. I would definitely not suggest this restaurant. Plates and glasses were not cleaned properly as well.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
I would change this review to much higher if only the food here was consistent. On a good night, India Gate has my absolute all time favorite Vindaloo, but more often then not it, the Vindaloo is very bland and it would seem a completely different color. (It's best when it's a vibrant, almost neon red hue) I don't know if this is a result of them switching chefs, or them not having the recipe down to a science but it is super disappointing when I order from time to time. I'd order a lot more if I knew what I was getting.
Pretty decent food, although huge quantities and extremely greasy. We ordered panir tikka and chili panir. Never had one like what we had there. But, oh boy, oily as hell. Veg biryani and mango milkshake were good. The Malai Kofta was excellent. We had gone at 430pm. Although Google said they were open they were not. But overall, ok. Price was less expensive than NYC
Food was okay. Went to a NYE buffet. Was outrageously priced, especially for the mediocre selection of food out. 3 people - only waters and the bill was $180. This was my go to spot, but I likely will stop ordering from here going forward. The positive - the "complementary" naan was REALLY good.
I visited this place with my girlfriend and her friends as a group outing. I got a paneer dish, some garlic naan, chai, and we all shared a pitcher of mango lassi. There is no pitcher on the menu but you can ask for this. The staff gave you a lot of space and were not very present in the restaurant. There was a strange man (not a worker) who kept coming in, peering in the kitchen window to look at the staff, and then going and stealing all the mints and lollipops. The food itself was tasty but not mind blowing. The prices are good and you get a large portion of food. The restaurant is spacious and you can take your time here. Not sure I would come here again, but I enjoyed my visit. It is a good place if you want a very long relaxed meal.
The food was pretty good and the interior is also well kept. Only issue I felt was the service here, my girlfriend asked the waiter nicely if he can wash the cutlery once and bring it back as it looked a bit dirty to us, he denied saying this is how it looks and said if you want I can bring a glass of water for us to wash it. The whole point of going out to eat will be ruined with such behavior.
The only reason I gave two stars was because of their good service. The appetizers we had were not bad and the green chutney goes very well with any appetizer. But the entrees we got were very dissapointing. The chicken vindaloo is one of the awful dishes I had. It may even top the list. I hope they focus on their food because that good service deserves good food.
On Sunday evening. Butter chicken sauce was ok but chicken so hard I thought for a moment it could be pork. Rice not freshly cooked felt like reheat from yesterday. Naan was excellent. Rasmalay was pretty good but no Cardamon in it . Portions are good, lots of chicken (or pork iam not sure) in the dish, good portion of rice, good portion or both Naan and Rasmalay. Beautiful restaurant.
The appetizer (aloo chaat) that we ordered wasn’t blended properly. In some places, it was hot and in some places it was cold. The yellow dal that we ordered was presented very poorly. I could see multiple lumps in that dal which gave me a very poor image of the service of this restaurant. Not a fun experience!
Avoid this place at any cost. Dishonest owner. Understand they have lunch buffet hours. If I reach at almost end of the time, they may not be able to serve... Got it. On reaching there, The owner says take seat & start. On having a quick look at the self-service counter, I noticed most items are either finished or very little is left on edge of the pots. On checking, the owner said, not to worry, more food is on its way. We were happy thinking all reviews below re service are true indeed. The owner then collects the left over in each square serving tray, walk to us as if nothing happened. He was asking why we are not starting? On highlighting again re food, he said that's all he can offer. They (his employees) refused to cook more. Being tired + hungry, we decided to eat it, I showed him half the trays are empty and if he is willing to offer a discount. Instead of saying yes or no, he gave us sarcastic look as if we are begging. We walked out after being ill treated and wasting 25 minutes. Such insensitive and dishonest person did not have courtesy to offer apologies for wasting time. God knows what he put in his ingredients. Stay away.
The worst biriyani I have ever had, i have never seen broccoli and green peas in a biriyani. I won’t suggest any kind of biriyani if u are a biriyani lover or if you’re from Hyderabad.
730 on a Saturday night. We were seated, and a 10 minutes later we had not seen our server. No water, no drink order, no "do you have any questions?" Went down the street to a place that wanted us there.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, we had dine in today, and our experience was horrible. Not sure how come the rating is 4.3. Server was very arrogant and rude. Food quality was also not good. We ordered kofta curry and they served kadhi pakoda instead of kofta curry, and when we politely enquired, the server very rudely lied saying I had informed you earlier, which he had not. We were so shocked to hear this. There were couple of more instances where he was so rude. We wanted to complain but there was no other manager in restaurant. I have never experienced this type of behavior in past 15 years from any other resto. Please be aware guys..do not visit this restaurant.
The ambiance at India Gate was nice and welcoming, but the food was just okay. I was disappointed with the Dal Makhani, as it didn’t resemble a traditional Dal Makhani—it looked more like a regular mixed dal. The naan was quite good, but the Malai Kofta was just average. Overall, the food was pretty average, and I expected more in terms of flavor and authenticity.
The serving was super bad. The plates are unhygenic. The server is getting irritated for taking the order. Worst possible indian restaurant to go to. Also he assured that the extra tip (35%) we had unknowingly written will not be added to the bill and only 20% will be added, but when i got home it was added to the credit card.
