Moana Hawaiian BBQ

As far as fast good goes, you can’t beat Moana.  Fast, affordable, and delicious, I frequent this place as often as I can.  Oh and they’re pretty healthy too!  Their grilled chicken and rice is filling and low calorie.

Got the Spicy Kimchi Beef, it was SUPER yummy and the plate was enough to feed both me and my gf. In a rare thing to say in a review, I think there could've been more rice to balance the portion of beef. It was a huge portion! The sweet potato fries were also really good

Chicken teriyaki bowl was the perfect lunch! So flavorful 🙌🏻

I’m not really one to just give out high praise for the heck of it but holy cow. This has unironically become one of my favorite in places in Downtwon Burbank. The food here is insanely good and actually decently priced. Also I do not know where they found the blonde girl who genuinely loves working there but she was fantastic and massive shoutout to her. I would 110% recommend, I’ve had a lot of chicken and that was some of the best I’ve had.

I ordered using the business’ website. Which was very easy to do and allows for special requests. The food was ready for my pick up when I arrived about 10 minutes later. I ordered 1/2 and 1/2 bbq pork and bbq beef. For my wife I ordered 1/2 and 1/2 beef short ribs and bbq beef. Both dishes were very tasty!

This place is small but man does it of her a lot of variety! We parked down the street as parking near it is quite difficult on the weekend. We walked in and the choices on the menu were plentiful. I ordered the pork belly and beef with macaroni salad. My husband ordered the half and half chicken and beef. The food was very flavorful and not over sauced. The meat was tender and not tough. The portion size was great and we even had a little bit left over to take home. Much more flavor than the place we have gone to near our house. If I lived closer I would definitely come more often. However, if I'm in Burbank again I will definitely return! With a small place, they really need to ensure they keep their tables clean, we did have to ask them to wipe down a table. The atmosphere was a little noisy, but it was quaint enough to stay and have a conversation with friends. The prices are on par with other Hawaiian food places and the service was really good. We got our food quickly and they even offered to take our trash when we were done.

The best lunch this side of Oahu! The Loco Moko was so good - seriously. They could hide a cheap patty under the egg and gravy, but it was one of the best burgers I've had in recent memory! The staff was extremely friendly, the price was fair and the food was first rate.

Staff was very friendly. She took the time to explain to me what the halo halo was. The spam misubi was really good!

Our favorite Hawaiian restaurant is under new ownership!! Looks like a really nice couple just took over this location. They were very welcoming and attentive. Food prep time and quality still the same, but no longer have to worry about the questionable service. Looked like they were still training and getting up to speed. We'll be visiting more often and will let you know how things trend, but so far so great!

Great quick serve Hawaiian place right on the downtown strip. Lots of menu choices and very tasty food. The staff was helpful with suggestions and packaged my meals so that I could assemble and eat them when we got to our destination.

Cozy place to eat, enjoyed the Chicken Katsu. They were so sweet to my kids and provided supplies for them to color. I enjoyed the food and the customer service. I took and extra side of their mac salad to go because I had a lot of food left over. Thank you to the friendly staff and older gentlemen for making us feel happy & comfortable 😊 Will definitely be returning!

I ordered the short-rib plate and it was sooo good !!! I’m very excited because I have been to so many different places trying to get a good short rib and here I am. There was a good amount of meat on the ribs, cooked to perfection, and the sauce was truly divine. I also ordered one musubi and it was crispy, soft, and tasty. The gentleman up front was very kind and helpful. Now I want to eat here everyday for the rest of the week hahaha.

Moana hits the spot! It’s comforting, delicious, and more than enough food to keep you satisfied. I got the Hawaiian BBQ Mix, which comes with BBQ beef, Ribs and Chicken Katsu. Of the 3 meats, I think I have to go with the beef. The chicken Katsu was a close second, and the ribs were decent but a bit tough. They’ve also got a great Mac salad, and are generous with the amount of rice they give you. I’m very happy to have a solid Hawaiian spot near my office. This place blows Ono Hawaiian out of the water. I highly recommend!

Korean BBQ tacos and kimchee! The food is good here. There is a variety of different types of food here - Filipino, Hawaiian, Korean and more! Excellent kimchee for me!

Amazing food. The spicy BBQ chicken and BBQ pork were amazing. The plates have good portions. Expect to pay 16-20 dollars for a meal without a drink.

I recently came across the place and decided to check them out to see if thing’s has improved. They’ve redecorated and the place seems cleaner so I decided to try them out again. The dining area is nice and clean, I ordered the BBQ mix plate with soda, ($25.00) the portions were decent, the food was good (better than I remembered) kinda expensive compared to Ono Hawaiian. Service was friendly and professional.

Patio Seating/ Dog Friendly! I’ve been coming to this spot for over a decade! They were around even before the movie! =) Fast forward present day- I wanted my niece to try Hawaiian BBQ. She’s been to Hawaii but now that she is older and her palate has changed, I knew this was the spot to take her for our monthly get together! Hawaiian BBQ always has a place in my heart! Growing up in Hawaii the BBQ was a staple, so simple; BBQ, rice, mac salad and a can of Hawaiian Sun! Got the katsu, short rib, BBQ and seafood combos! Of course, she wanted musubi so we got that and it came with 2 for the order, with the drink total came to $95! But dang, the rice to meat ratio was sad ?? rice is cheap… why not load up? Maybe my expectations are too high? LOL but its rice….cant shake the portion out of my head also, the mac salad can use a upgrade– missing star.

I rated this place poorly only because it's impossible to get a meal for lunch. So I never got to even get a meal no parking you have to park maybe 2 or 3 blocks away if you're lucky. Many people double park but I see them getting a ticket or towed away not worth a ticket for me or getting my car towed. So if your on lunch forget it. You can order ahead and pick up but you still have to find a parking it's sad the business people suffer due to street parking. Oh also if you do get a parking you have to pay the meter and it doesn't take change cards only. So for us people that don't use cards don't even try to go cause you can't park.

This place is way too high in price for the quality of food offered and also because this is a fast food joint. I realize the cost of food has increased 75% to 100% contrary to what the current administration asserts but this place takes prices to the ridiculous for what they offer. The chicken katsu was nothing to rave about. Though the chicken was tender and the batter relatively light, it was flavorless. I lived in Hawaii for years and the food offered here misses the mark on authenticity. If I am going to pay the high prices they charge, I would prefer eating at a restaurant where the prices are lower, the same, and even higher but at least the food may be worth the cost. All that said, the white rice which accompanied what I ordered was moist and delicious and the macaroni salad is amazing. If you are going to eat here, I suggest the Masubi and macaroni salad. Everything else is just not great in flavor or worth what they charge.
