Great Italian and domestic deli, meats, cakes, bread, gelato, and much more. What are you waiting for? The restaurant is good old-fashioned big portions. Nothing fancy on the service, but are you going there for the yummy food or service 😉
Pinocchio’s is a San Fernando Valley institution. If you’re looking for that throw back, old school, down home Italian America joint with all the retro vibes, this is your spot. Red sauce piled high, checkered tablecloths, and Dean Martin crooning through crackling speakers. This place will take you back!
This restaurant impressed in every category. The service was efficient yet friendly, making the entire meal enjoyable from start to finish. The menu was filled with excellent choices, each one thoughtfully prepared. Food was served hot and looked stunning on the plate. Flavors were rich, fresh, and well-balanced, reflecting true care in preparation. The staff worked attentively to ensure drinks were filled and guests had everything they needed. The atmosphere was bright, clean, and inviting, encouraging relaxation and conversation. Every aspect of the visit was positive, leaving guests with a strong desire to revisit and share the experience again.
Always seen this growing up in the Valley, but first time trying this in 2025 on a Friday night around 7pm. Pastrami sandwiches are my favorite and go-to’s, but I asked the chef what he recommended, Pastrami or Roast Beef, he asked you like hot or cold? I said hot. He recommended the Pastrami (On Roll). After ordering it, the lady next to me said the Pastrami is really good here, great choice! I couldn’t wait to try it. The chef went to get the fresh, hot Pastrami in the kitchen in the back, and stuffed the roll with a huge amount of meat. Then he added a delicious seasoned tomatoes & onions mix, and asked if I wanted mustard on the bread, I said yes! everything on it please! For $12, it was great and filling. I love places that don’t skimp out on the amount of protein, and boy they stuffed that sandwich. When I bit it outside, since I got to-go, it was warm, juicy, messy, and a great sandwich overall! I highly recommend and will be coming back, great 1st impression! - LaynoProd
I’ve been coming to Pinocchio Restaurant since I was little, and it’s been a special place for my family for years. The atmosphere hasn’t changed much—and that’s a good thing. It has that cozy, old-school Italian charm with the red-checkered tables and deli-style feel that brings back memories every time I visit. The food is hearty and comforting—my go-to has always been the lasagna and garlic bread, and the portions are generous for the price. I also love that you can grab deli items and even a glass of wine without breaking the bank. It’s not a fancy, fine-dining Italian spot—more of a nostalgic, neighborhood gem where you come for familiar flavors and a laid-back meal. Service can get a little busy during peak times, but they’ve always been friendly and welcoming to us.
You'd think you are in Italy! This place is an Italian grocery store, an Italian deli, and an Italian sit-down restaurant all wrapped into one. You order From the counter. Great prompt service. Your food gets prepared in front of you. It is authentic, delicious, generous. You go sit down in one of 3 nicely decorated restaurant rooms including one with a wall of historic aircraft pictures. I'm going back asap, and highly recommend!
This is a fantastic old-school Italian spot with tasty pasta, sandwiches and salads! The Spaghetti & Meatballs was amazing and comes with meat sauce and Garlic bread. They also have an attached gelato bar, bakery, deli and market for a one-stop Italian shop. Staff is polite and they have a free parking lot outside.
This place is a must go to. It reminds me of an Italian trader Joe's. The atmosphere is lively old school and I don't feel like I'm in a big city. I feel like I'm in a small town restaurant. Between the great food, the amazing gelato or the authentic Italian store where you can get mozzarella in water I highly recommend this place. A meal for $12 with a few side dishes where can you get that these days? The food was very tasty like Mom made it. Parking along the side of the building, or street parking is typically available. You go up and order your food bring it to your table and enjoy. You can get some wine if you'd like. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you get a chance try to tiramisu gelato!
My 5 star review is ONLY for the gelato! It's a must!! Cheaper than getting a scoop at 30+ flavors (BR). The store does need a little dusting. Products have layers of dust and most items are over the…

Authentic italian food that tasted amazing. Tons of authentic Italian ingredients in the store as well. A must stop for italian food lovers.
I have been in many real Italian restaurants and can tell that here food could be better. My relatives told me about this place but it’s good just for one visit. Prices also not affordable

Rude customer service. overpriced, mediocre food. One family member got sick. Maybe it used to be good, but this is a hard pass now.

This place is a Burbank institution! They offer a dine-in restaurant featuring many Italian favorites served in large portions, a full deli with all the meats and other fresh food, gelato bar, and a small grocery with tons of imported Italian products. A piece of Italy right on Magnolia! They renovated their dine-in area since last I visited, and it looks so much nicer with the charming booths and rustic decor. Popular with locals and nearby offices for their fast service at the food counter, where you order whether dine-in or to-go. They have their own parking lot, so no worries with that. Massive sandwiches are delicious and does not skimp on the deli meats at all! Not much a fan of their spaghetti in meat sauce though; seems too watered down and doesn't seem to be made from scratch. But you cannot go wrong with their deli sandwiches!
The only reason I gave it a low rating is because the Lasagna always disappoints me. Maybe because so much cheese and meat overwhelm me. But to each their own. I love the atmosphere in here. It’s so cozy and all the wall painting are so beautiful and it feels like you’re in a place out of a movie. The music was nice and everything is very clean. I just never leave happy when I ate lasagna. I never learn to order other things. But I have to come back and try the sandwiches and spaghetti. The salad was delicious. And the service was okay, the guys are polite and very busy. The grocery store/ deli looks very nice and has a lot of items from beautiful Italy. They have free refills and other drink options.. I just like coming here because it reminds me of my child hood. I did get the mariners sauce on the side… I need to try other things on the menu.
Ate last night to celebrate son's birthday. Food was okay, I had the beef ravioli with pink sauce. The side salad of iceberg lettuce wasn't good and the side mushroom wasn't either, something was off. Otherwise everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. Cannoli shell was greasy tasting, too. Took away from the pastry itself. 🥺
This place is nostalgic! I used to come here all the time as a kid and when we moved away, I hadn't been back until the other day. service kind of rushes you through the line so make sure you know …

Do not eat here or give the owner Armen any business. He is a thief! He’s rude and will gladly just take your money instead of helping you out if you plan on using their tiny ass banquet room.

Our family recently had an extremely disappointing experience with the manager, Carlos, at this establishment. It was a busy day, and after waiting in line, we placed our order and looked for seating to accommodate our party of ten, which included four toddlers. We found a table toward the back and sat down while waiting for our food. Moments later, Carlos approached us in a very rude and abrupt manner, informing us that we needed to move because he had just reserved four tables for another large party. He placed the “Reserved” signs directly in front of us as we were seated, without offering any assistance or alternative seating. When I politely asked if he could help us find another table, he replied, “I don’t do that—you just need to move now,” and walked away. Given that we had small children with us, we chose not to create a scene and began looking for another place to sit. Fortunately, another staff member witnessed his behavior and kindly helped rearrange tables so we could stay in the same area. Once our food arrived and we began to eat, Carlos returned—this time far more aggressive and loud. Shockingly, he began shouting and using profanity in front of our children, demanding once again that we move and threatening to remove us from the restaurant. Despite my attempts to calmly explain the situation and ask for a reasonable solution, he continued to curse and escalate the confrontation. Carlos’s conduct was unprofessional, aggressive, and completely inappropriate for someone in a managerial role—especially in a family-friendly environment. His lack of respect, empathy, and basic workplace courtesy made what should have been an enjoyable family outing a very unpleasant experience. I strongly urge the management or ownership to address this behavior, as no guest should be treated this way. Until then, I would advise avoiding this location if Carlos is on duty, as he demonstrates no regard for customer service or families with children.
