One word…Yum! This breakfast gem has been around since 1962! They gotta be doing something right! Abigail was my server and she did an excellent job. I had coffee, two eggs, ham and biscuits with gravy. So much food!! Lots of free parking outside and lots of seating inside. Some historic photos on the walls were very interesting. I’ll be back soon!

Ol’ South in Burleson has always been my go to absolute favorite breakfast restaurant for so many reasons. For starters, the service is ALWAYS magnificent and the food is ALWAYS on point. Carlos S. was my server today and he made the start of my day absolutely amazing with his excellent customer service. He is so pleasant and aware, food arrived timely and he never let my coffee go unfilled. For a coffee lover, that alone is a big deal. Thank you Ol’ South Burleson for always delivering such an amazing start to my day.

We had Christina P as our server today (Sunday morning) and she was fabulous! Perfect timing on drinks and check-ins. Never overly bearing to where we felt interrupted while eating. She was friendly and gave us time to pick from the menu without feeling rushed. And of course our food as always was absolutely delicious!!! We sat on the patio outside as well and were never forgotten about. We almost went to Our Place… So glad we didn’t! Ambiance here is lighter and more home-y. We will definitely be returning more often! Was too excited about my food to take pics, but trust me, it looked and was delicious!

Nicole was our server. She is sooo friendly and personable. Great server. No tablet in their face making no eye contact! In fact, she looked us in the eyes and memorized our orders, repeated them back to us, and it all came out exactly as we ordered. Like wait service should be. My husband and I shared a skillet. It was exactly as ordered but it was a bit heavy for me. There was a lot of cheese and gravy and the grill oil they cooked the veggies and eggs in kinda all came together. I mean it didn’t taste bad, just not my favorite skillet I’ve ever had. But if you like biscuit and gravy as your skillet base, you’d probably like it. Atmosphere was great. We sat outside and the weather was nice. They played good music at an appropriate volume. Again Nicole’s service was perfection! Plus our coffee cups stayed full! That’s most important! Thank you for a great experience!

Abbigail was a joy to have as my waitress. She has a very welcoming and friendly personality, she is professional, and had a wonderful smile on her face the entire time she served me. My coffee was served hot and topped off at just the right time, not to mention the food was great as always! If you make the choice to come and visit Old South make sure you ask for Abigail!! Also I just realized how funny the shirts they sell are. Picture will be added at the end. I see Christmas gifts coming!!

My brother and I are in town for a few days and decided to try this place. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly host, who sat us down immediately. Luca was our server and he was excellent! He helped us make the best choices by giving perfect descriptions and great suggestions. We definitely enjoyed our food and would absolutely visit again, maybe even tomorrow before we leave, lol. Thank you to the Ol’ South Pancake House staff in Burleson!

Breakfast here is your usual fare but made very well and excellent service!!! I had the German pancake which was delicious but very sweet (a little too much for me). My partner had the veggie omelet which looked delicious and he greatly enjoyed it. You could tell it was made with fresh produce and real eggs (no powder). The rest of my table had eggs toast and the buttermilk pancakes which were all good. We all enjoyed the food, and service was terrific! Would be happy to come back. Coffee was fine nothing special.

The Seeker

First time here. Got here very early in the morning and was greeted immediately. Our waitress, Nayeli was informative and attentive. We started out with the tater kegs. They disappeared quickly. We also got the chicken fried steak and eggs with buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy, classic breakfast and the big ol burrito and all of it was fantastic. We'll be back.

Fabled Narrative

I went with my mother and we pretty much had a great experience from when we entered to when we left. The host was the manager. We had other servers greet us, and help us that were not our waiter to begin with. The food that we received was prepared quickly. Our waitress really did did have an effort to give us great customer service. The atmosphere was very well renovated. There was a robot that was helping the servers with food, but still the customer experience was very well received because of the human element in the store. The food was top tier. I will give a specific mention, that my mother's pancakes did have small chocolate chips, and chocolate chips at the bottom of each of those pancakes, which may seem lackluster, but smaller chocolate chips are easier and quicker to melt. And the biscuits and gravy that I had, the biscuits were surprisingly better than I anticipated. Because they were both a mixture of a biscuit and a roll together which kind of boggled my mind. I look forward to coming back again! (I recommend getting the turkey bacon and dipping it in the sausage gravy. 👍)

It's extremely rare that I give a place 5 stars. In fact, I think this is my first time to do so, and it's all due to our server. The very first thing my wife said after Chelsea greeted us was, "Now, that's a good server." It's a very special occasion when my wife makes such a statement, so I had to let Chelsea know. Needless to say, she was extremely appreciative. Now, I have to tell you about the food. I ordered the Big Ol' Breakfast Burrito and a side of biscuits and gravy. Why? I haven't the faintest clue. Their portions are huge. The burrito almost reached side to side on the oval plate it was served on. The two big, steamy biscuits were served with a big bowl of gravy and not that teeny weeny bowl that most places use. And for those who enjoy eating outside in the coolness of the early morning, they have an amazing outdoor area. The bottom line is that I highly recommend Ol' South Pancake House. You won't be disappointed!

I absolutely love this restaurant. It's ideal for breakfast, which is served all day, and it is honestly really good. Fresh clean and their staff it's always frently. They have a robot that delivers food to your table. It is really cute. I almost always order chicken and waffles, and the chicken is always juice and tender. I have dry their german pancakes, stake and eggs, skillets, breakfast tacos, sandwiches, and omelets, and you can't go wrong with anything from the menu.

Food good, place is clean and tidy… charging you $1 to get togo and another $1 for online ordering fees… NOPE! Then trying to sneak in a 20% tip for not being waited on? WAY NOPE! Tired of businesses trying to sneak in crap when you order togo and get none of the service you do when you dine in… also beware: Your price is higher if you pay by credit card! Scammer business. Good food or not: these are charges you EAT as a business for DOING BUSINESS. Prices same as an IHOP with the same quality but more expensive in the end with hidden charges? No way.
