Drove an hour to eat here and they ran out of everything because a rush or 30 Sheriffs showed up and wiped them out. I was a little miffed because of the drive, but it’s all good. Shane actually came out, aloha style, and talked with us for a while, and even offered to treat us next time. Not my style to take free food, but my wife and I will definitely come back another day. But we will call first, just to be safe.

This place is awesome! The food is beyond amazing. We tried chicken, beef, shrimp & pork. We got salad & macaroni salad as our sides and pineapple pudding for dessert. It was all DELICIOUS!! So much flavor & juicy meat. There's also an area for kids to play. We will definitely be going back again & again. The staff was so kind & helpful when ordering too. We have never been so I was unsure what to order and the girl talking my order was patient while I ended up ordering almost everything on the menu.

We live in N Fort Worth and were in the area for a softball tournament, so we stopped in. Holy schmoly! The only bad thing about this place is that it is 45 minutes from home... and we will likely still make the drive just to come back at some point! The food is fresh and cooked to order, and the flavors are amazing. And the atmosphere is fun and laid back. It is a little off the beaten path, but WELL worth it!

First I want to say the vibe of this place as soon as you walk in the door is awesome. Even with there new addition it makes it more of family atmosphere. The food is phenomenal. It's definitely a hidden gem in Alvarado off FM 917. My go to is the grilled chicken, but there fire cracker shrimp is good as well. There hours are a bit wonky, but over all I would recommend if you are wanting somewhere to sit and eat and entertain the kids or grab and go.

Shaneboys is a delightful foodtruck park in rendon. There are two food trucks parked under a covered pavillion with lots of picnic tables & playscapes for the kids. The beignet bus was not open yet but the shaneboys truck was open. My husband ordered the Hawaiian chicken & pulled pork. I ordered the grilled butter shrimp. Both came with buttered & seasoned rice & a salad with a tangy vinagrette. We both ate all of our meals & debated getting more to bring home with us. We will 100% be back & we regret not going sooner!

I can't say enough good things about this place! I've tried all the meats and my favorites are the Hawaiian grilled chicken and the Firecracker fried chicken! Get the macaroni salad as well, but all of it is so incredibly tasty! I've been to Hawaii and this is the only legit place around! So happy it's in my area and I get food from there just about every month! He also makes deserts, including homemade pudding! Service is top notch as well, friendly and even when I screwed up on my online order, they gave me extra food and let me keep the wrong order! Trust me, go here and you'll always come back!

Our experience here was absolutely amazing. The owners are extremely kind and serving to their customers and the food was some of the best Hawaiian food I have ever experienced. The owner told us, “after you eat the Lava Moco, you’ll need a nap” and I definitely need a nap after eating that. Amazing, 10/10 experience.

We came in around dinner time. Ordered to go and the food was still hot when we got home. We got the grilled garlic shrimp and the firecracker shrimp. Both were cooked perfectly and were delicious. The rice was soft and the sauce was really good. We also got the sole fish special. The fish was flakey and melted in your mouth. 10/10 absolutely delicious. Desert we got was the macadamia nut cookie and red velvet cookie. They were moist and tasted fresh. The Oreo pudding was awesome! We plan on bringing our family here so they can enjoy it too! Can’t wait to eat here again!

DELICIOUS!!!!! We are visiting from Lubbock and wanted something good not far from our hotel. We own a food truck so when I saw the pick of Shane boys I was excited to try them out, as we loveeee supporting the food truck community! Shane boys did NOT disappoint!! We ordered 3 plates and a kids meal and a dessert, sadly I only got one pic because we ate the other plates so fast! As soon as we opened the box we were impressed with the presentation but even more impressed with the taste! We will be back every time we are in Fort Worth!! So ono! We lived on Oahu for seven years and have been missing the amazing fusion of flavors we experienced on the island. Shaneboy's absolutely hit the spot! Everything we had was delicious. Shane does an excellent job of mixing Hawaiian and local flavors with superb results. We ordered two pick 2 plates, one with firecracker chicken and shrimp and one with coconut fried chicken and firecracker shrimp. It smelled so amazing that we only had the patience to get one picture before digging in. The fried coconut chicken was lightly fried chicken strips with great flavor. My daughter ordered the kid's meal with smoked pulled pork; she loved it, as well as the dressing on the mixed greens salad. The kids meal came with an Honest Kid's juice box and fortune cookie (always a hit). The pineapple pudding was not a hit with the kids (I don't think it was sweet enough for them) but I absolutely loved it (and had leftovers for breakfast the next day). We'll be back for malasadas! Thanks for the ono food and much needed aloha.

I have been checking out every Hawaiian spot I can find in the metroplex. The quality, presentation, and atmosphere at Shaneboys makes it the easy winner for my favorite Hawaiian stop. I agree that price/portion might be slightly higher here than other places but you are getting what you pay for. I have not found a plate I have even considered mediocre here. It is great food and great service every time. Might be out of the way for some but always worth the trip. If you haven't been yet, make the drive! Board games and activities inside make it a fun time for all ages.

I got a couple of the Two Big plates to go. All of the proteins were great! The macaroni salad was also yummy! I’ve been driving past on my way home from work I guess as long as it’s been open and finally stopped today. The only downside was the rush hour traffic on 917.

This place is a hidden gem. The grilled Hawaiian chicken is is Smokey and seasoned well. The juices from the chicken soak into the rice. This plate is addictive. I also have tried the coconut chicken and shrimp which was also incredible.

Excellent food! My wife had the Firecracker Fried Shrimp. Loved it. Spicy but not overbearing and packed with flavor. I had a combo — Firecracker Chicken and fried shrimp. I told the guy at the window that I’m a first-timer and make me something good to eat. He chose well. Even the lemon meringue soda was good.

This place is fantastic! We ordered teriyaki beef, Hawaiian fried chicken and firecracker beef. I saw reviews saying they skimp you on food and that the mac salad is small. Dude, stop lying! 😂 Thats not true! If the mac salad is the star of the show and not the main entrée, we have a problem! The food was like fourth of July in my mouth! This is the best Hawaiian bbq place I ever had in Texas. Give it a try! You wont regret it!

By far a 10 out of 10! I personally haven't had food this good in awhile and my mouth is excited about the leftovers already. I had firecracker chicken, and she chose the pulled pork. She wasn't as excited as I was but she didn't get what I did haha, trust me it's worth the trip!

I was born and raised in hawaii and have been craving some real local hawaii style plate lunch. Came across shane boys about a year ago but havent made it out here because of the distance beeing 45 min from my house. EVERY SINGLE THING i ate there was 10/10 delicious, flavorful and juicy. Now that i know how good their food is, the commute is nothng and way more than worth the drive. I wish I hadn't waited so long to get out here. I had the firecracker shrimp: butterfly cut and can come grilled or fried. I had fried, they were PERFECTLY cooked, and the sauce is out of this world good. Butter garlic steak and fire cracker steak: Very tender, juicy, perfectly cooked. Butter garlic sauce has me salivating thinking about it. Hawaiian chicken: fried mochiko chicken thighs chunks. Tender and juicy. Lastly, desert the crosada's: crosaint bites fried and rolled in sugar like a malasada. Warm, buttery, soft, addictive and chewey. No picture cause I mopped it up so fast. Super friendly staff, plenty of seating and great relaxed family friendly atmosphere all around. I just wish I had enough room to have some shaved ice, next time tho.

Drove from Denton to try Shaneboys after hearing about them from an Asian food Facebook group. We got the 3 meat combo with firecracker shrimp, coconut fried chicken, and Hawaiian grilled chicken, add Mac salad. Also tried the shrimp + 1 meat combo with garlic butter shrimp and Hawaiian grilled chicken, swapped greens for Mac salad at no cost. All were delicious and perfectly flavored, the coconut fried chicken and garlic butter shrimp were my favorites. You can really taste the work and quality in the food, well worth the price and drive for me. Excited to go back and try other items (hopefully to the additional brick and mortar location). Everything from the experience at the counter to the cleanliness and vibe of the spot is great. Air conditioned internal area but painted and decorated to make you feel like you're getting food from a truck at the beach! Food was incredibly tasty. We tried the coconut chicken and garlic butter fried shrimp. The chicken was really good, but that shrimp'll slap your mama it's so damn good! Will be back!

That garlic butter sauce needs to be bottled. It's amazing! Shrimp is crispy and not soggy. The dressing on the salad was light and flavorful. The firecracker sauce could go on any meat! Seriously. They let us try the Mac salad side and yall I'm not a Mac salad person and loved it! We finished off with some pineapple dessert. Get that too. I seriously don't think you can go wrong here. We seriously are talking about swinging back by after for more. Great little kids area as well. Go try it u won't regret it. Location is comfy and shaded and Shane the owner took his time with us which we so appreciated and the hospitality was wonderful thank you and your team. We will be back!

I have been wanting to try Shane Boys for some time now and today was the day. Why did I wait so long?!!! Friendly and helpful counter service. We gave our order and sat down to wait while our food was prepared. I got the creamy garlic shrimp and hubby had the Hawaiian fried shrimp. It comes with rice and for our side we got the mac salad. It was delicious!! Nice and creamy with lots of flavor. Both of our shrimp dishes were excellent! The shrimp is cooked to order, hubby’s was lightly breaded so you actually got to taste the shrimp. Mine was grilled perfectly and then it has a creamy garlic sauce drizzled over the top. Yummy! Besides shrimp, they also have chicken, beef and pork dishes. Atmosphere is cute with Hawaiian slogans and decorations. Prices are reasonable and well worth it. Hours of operation are limited so check before you go. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. I ordered the pork, garlic beef, and fried chicken. Even though I actually ordered shrimp, I didn't mind because the chicken was flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'm glad the mistake happened. The sides were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the pulled pork. The desserts were also great, and we recommend the pineapple pudding. It's a great place to stop by on the way to Dallas, and we would definitely come back.

My only beef would be that I thought the proportion was really small for the price which was 15 dollars. Loved the entire ambience and vibe of this Hawaiian resturant. They have plenty options ranging in chicken, beef, shrimp and pork that includes rice, field greens with a delicious vinaigrette dressing and if you feeling extra hungry like I was you can add a flavorful macaroni salad for a little extra. We recently stopped by this Hawaiian barbecue gem over in west mansfield after voting and were extremely impressed with both the food and the atmosphere. Located in a creatively designed warehouse lease space, the restaurant is small but roomy, with charming decorations that contribute to an inviting and comfortable atmosphere. The food was exceptional, offering unique flavors that are truly unforgettable. I ordered the smoked beef round with grilled shrimp and a fried egg on top, served with rice. Each component of the dish was amazing, with its own distinct taste that I've never experienced before. My wife tried the firecracker shrimp and macaroni salad, which had a delightful combination of sweet undertones and spicy notes, creating an entirely new flavor profile. The service was excellent, as the staff member taking our order was extremely helpful and friendly. The value for the price was also great, with perfect portion sizes and high-quality ingredients. If you have not been to Shaneboy’s, you’re missing out. We were welcomed by a friendly gentleman who explained the menu and specials. The food was amazing and loaded with amazing flavor and crispy chicken and shrimp entrees. I believe we all agreed that the Cherry Bomb Shrimp was the winner for the day, hopefully it makes another appearance on the permanent menu. The decor in the restaurant was fantastic, the tables had little checker boards and games to play while waiting. Overall great experience and can’t wait to try more items!

My wife and I traveled here from Fort Worth for our anniversary. We had sold her childhood bike to the restaurant before it opened and wanted to try the food and see the restaurant. The food was excellent! We had the fire cracker fried chicken and fire cracker fried shrimp with the salad and macaroni. We were really impressed with the food. We also loved the cozy atmosphere. Love that this place has such unique cuisine! Not the best location, but they seem to stay busy, so that's good. They do tend to sell out early so don't wait til dinner to stop in! They also close fairly early, at 7pm, so plan your visit accordingly. Definitely try the Loco Moco, it's a classic Hawaiian dish that is superb! The different chicken dishes are also favorites. They have a lot of choices, and they're all really good!

I loved every part of my visit except for the level of salt in my firecracker chicken. It could've used about half what it had. The service was awesome and the ambience super cool. I really enjoyed the macaroni salad too. Overall, a great experience. Just less salt is preferred.

The food was just okay. We drove a while to get here based on a social media post. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't good enough for us to come again. Everything tastes the same. We had two different types of shrimp and chicken... a three plate meal for each person. It wasn't giving tropical taste.

The pictures of the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken must have been taken on a really good day. My food looked nothing like the pictures on Google and the menu in the store. We ordered the Hawaiian Grilled Chicken, Garlic Grilled Shrimp, and the Pineapple Cream pudding. The chicken and shrimp were similar in flavor, but lacked seasonings- just overkill of garlic. The portion of the macaroni salad was half the size of the side section of the to-go box. There was more rice than actual meat. The pineapple cream pudding was sticky and too thick. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it wasn’t worth driving 30 minutes out for. I will say the only reason why I gave it three stars and not two was because the service was great! Friendly staff and clean environment! The restaurant is very family friendly.

Tough to do this review. I wanted it to be great. But it was just ok. The decor is a little too tchotchke. The food had some bright spots, but was too small of servings and some flavors were bland. The macaroni is just drowning in mayo. The location was a pain to get to. If someone really wanted to go, you won’t regret it. But if you didn’t go back, you wouldn’t miss it.

Came here because of the hype of this place and the reviews but slightly disappointed. The vibe inside is nice. The flavor of the food was very good probably the best flavor. What I couldn't believe was the amount of the sides you got. The smallest scoop of Mac, can be finished in a couple bites and thin layer of rice. It's good but I think I would go to the other Hawaiian place in Mansfield. I think to get five stars from me would just be increasing the portion of the sides.

Went to eat here several months ago and the food was amazing! We told our Grandson about the cool area for kids and he begged to go. We checked online to make sure they would be open and called before we left to confirm and were told yes , open until 7:00. We drove 40 min to get there. We arrived at 6:29pm. We are then told that they only accept to go orders after 6:02. That was a weird time to say. When we complained that no where online did it state a to go only time frame, the owner comes over and says they only take to go orders after 6:30 and go dark at 7:00. He was very rude!! There was no aloha spirit coming from him. He said this was normal and he had been doing this for 35 years. Then, he rudely says, “in case you haven’t noticed, we’re in the middle of nowhere.” We explained how far we had driven to bring our Grandson to finally eat here, so yes, we noticed where you are dude. Then he tells us people come in at 6:30 and then sit for two hours so that’s why they do things this way. Well, that is a you problem for not telling them you are closed. We would have eaten and left at closing. You were very rude and left us hungry, far from home and with a crying kid! We will never be back and will tell everyone we had recommended to eat here not to bother. The only reason you are getting 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the first time we ate here and enjoyed the food.

Everytime I go up there they’re either closed or sold out .This is literally the 5th time I’ve gone up there and they were sold out of chicken . Extremely rude to me about it as well for no reason .If you don’t know how to operate a restaurant then just get out of the business .Always the same song and dance .
