Had a delicious pizza - bacon, onions and blueberries! Really interesting combo, well prepared! Great service, family atmosphere. Enjoyed my dinner.
My server was very knowledgeable about the vegan options here and helped me navigate the menu with ease. The noodles were perfect, the vegetable broth was delicious and the veggies were spot on! The atmosphere was very nice and my patio seat overlooked the stream and water feature which was Very pleasant and relaxing as I was riding my motorcycle 🏍️ and knew I was going to catch some rain 🌧️ on the way back to Schenectady, which I did, lol. Had a great time and hope to bring the family with me next time we are in Lake Placid! 😁👍🏼🏍️💨
We got the beet Reuben and the shrimp tacos, ate them too fast to take pictures 😅 they were both delicious!
We all agreed the burger was the best of our dinners. I enjoyed the NA Athletic beer option. Sitting outside was beautiful by a river/brook. Service was okay if a little inattentive and forgetful.
We, 2 adults, 3 teens, and 1 tween ate at Lisa Gs in mid-July 2025. We got there early, around 5 pm, on a Thursday and got a table right away. It looked like closer to 6-6:30 there was a line. We sat inside in the main dining area. The cocktails were creative and delicious. They have a nice wine, beer, and cider selection too. We got the lettuce wraps appetizer, 7 totally different main meals, and a few desserts. Everything was well prepared and delicious. If we're ever back in Lake Placid we'll be sure to go to Lisa Gs!
Amazing food, everything is very tasty and good quality, the atmosphere is beautiful and I love the style, the service is friendly. Definitely need a reservation because it looks busy all the time! The cocktails are strong and taste great!! There is a variety of choices for everybody!
We had the best time at Lisa’s G’s. Good food, great drinks, awesome service, and the best vibes!! Everything on the menu was highly recommended - and reasonably so! Everything that came out around us looked so good. We got the cheese treat and two wing flavors - lemon pepper and maple bourbon. The drinks kept up with the food - delicious dirty martini, spicy marg, and we even turned the bourbon blueberry smash into an awesome vodka drink. Can’t recommend this place enough. The bartenders were amazing - such a fun environment AND we even got to meet the cleaning crew (the cutest doggo around!!) Lisa G’s is the place to be!!
D. E. Lish. Calamari had a hidden surprise of Mediterranean antipasto that worked well. Shrimp and grits were creamy and smoky and not chewy. My husband clearly liked the cocktails.
Amazing food and drinks. The lemon caesar is absolutely amazing, love the vibe of the space! Food came out quick and great service!
We decided on eating at Lisa G's after reading the reviews. The reviews were spot on...great food, great service, worth the stop. Our server was a delight and very friendly. We ordered an appetizer and then waited on our main course. We did have to wait for an unusually long time for it, but when it arrived, it was hot and absolutely delicious. Given the chance, we would ear here again.
We were so pleased to even get seated because this place was highly recommended. The burrito and chicken wings were amazing. I was a little surprised that the table next to us got their food first even though they came 10 mins after us. I mentioned this to the waitress, and she said they had appetizers, but I, too, had ordered the buffalo wings.. She could have offered to replenish the bread to keep us happy. It was, however, well worth the wait. My husband had the Moroccan burrito, and he was blown away by how tasty it was. Try to sit outside. The view of the water out back is spectacular.
Service was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. The outdoor seating had beautiful views of the Chubb River. I was specifically looking for a restaurant in the Lake Placid area that offered gluten free options for my wife and this place seemed to have the most. Their menu clearly marked which items were gluten free and/or vegan. My wife and I both ordered the bacon and blueberry pizza with a gluten free crust and it was absolutely delicious. It may be one of the best pizzas I have ever had! We will definitely be visiting again when we are looking for a nice dinner with a view.
Very busy on a Friday night. Barbie first come first serve and serves the full menu. We had a salad, lettuce wraps, and schnitzel. It was all really good but the schnitzel was the best I’ve ever had and that includes from Germany. The mustard was delish! Go and order the schnitzel!
We tried this place last year when we were visiting for a ski trip, and again last week! Both times were great. The food comes out quick and the waiters are efficient. This time we tried the shrimp tacos (SO much food packed into two tacos!!), fish and chips & potato leek soup. I could have eaten an entire pot of the soup it was so good! Love that you can make reservations as well.
Every time I’m in Lake Placid, Lisa G’s is an absolute must for dinner—it’s hands down the best restaurant in town. I enjoyed dinner here twice this weekend (lucky me) because I just can’t get enough of their incredible food. The service is always top-notch, with attentive staff who make you feel right at home. The Chicken Parm is a must-try—it’s absolutely delicious! Over the years, I’ve sampled several dishes, and each one has been consistently flavorful and satisfying. If you're in Lake Placid, don't miss the chance to dine at Lisa G’s!
Food was delicious and the service was great. We had the Cajun Chicken Nachos for an appetizer, the Chicken Parmesan & the Pork Osso Bucco none of them disappointed. Drinks were also on point.😋
First time here and it won’t be the last time either! The maple bourbon wings are to die for. I recommend trying them out. Everyone is super friendly and no waiting time really for your food. There is outdoor seating that is covered-(you can eat outside when raining) If you do go here parking is a little tough. You might have to park on the street near by the restaurant. Definitely coming back to try out more on the menu
The Experience After a long morning of making banana bread and lying on various couches in our Airbnb, we arrived at Lisa G's around 12:30. We sat outside surrounded by an orchestra of heaters which kept us plenty warm. The outdoor area didn't have great ventilation but we were the only ones out there so we felt safe enough. We also had a lovely waiter who helped us pick our orders with the kind of smooth confidence I need in my life. The Accoutrements I was craving wings and so we got two variants. These greek wings replaced heat with lemon zest and herbaceous seasoning. They also had the necessary wing crispiness that makes you scarf down a few in a minute's time. The buffalo cousins were just absolutely classic. They were so good I probably could have skipped my entrée and just ordered 20 to eat as a lunch. The smoothly confident waiter suggested we upgrade our fries to the garlic parmesan variant and I was glad he did. They shared the crispy factor with the wings and the garlic added a nice kick. The Main Course I got the roasted pork and bacon sandwich. I will say I expected more of a pulled pork sandwich than deli-style meat but that's mostly cause I didn't read the menu. The onion and aioli added great flavor and helped ensure the bread didn't turn into a dry roof of the mouth damaging machine. The pork was a nice base and the bacon brought its usual delicious fattiness. The Verdict The meals we had in Lake Placid weren't always the most mind-blowing culinary experiences. Between Swiss Miss hot chocolate and overpriced lakeside meals, we weren't always impressed. However, relative to those experiences Lisa G's is a tier or two above. In the 2020 Lake Placid Gastronomical Olympics Lisa G's gets a gold medal and five stars to boot.
Loved this place! It always makes for an enjoyable experience when a restaurant is this well-balanced from start to finish! Ambiance is a fun, Art Deco twist, with great cocktails & unique tasty food. We had the cheese treat appetizer (just get it, it’s heaven), lobster pot pie (which was deconstructed & had fennel; amazing), the seafood risotto & Moroccan salad, all great. Can’t wait to return!
The potato leek soup was quite well flavored and well done. The crispy goat cheese salad was delicious. The Moroccan burrito was a little bland but isn’t far off the mark. The black bean quinoa burger was fairly average. The spicy cheese treat appetizer was great and had some pep to it. The staff was quite friendly and helpful.
Excellent lunch spot. Menu with plenty of choices but not overwhelming. Good food and service. Will return
Beautiful restaurant located right in the middle of gorgeous Lake Placid. The surroundings are amazing and the restaurant itself was neat and beautiful. The food was great, so were the staff. Wish I took more photos to share. We tried 2-3 items from the menu. Parking may be a minor issue since I didn’t notice any dedicated parking as such but managed to parallel park on the road side. Would definitely recommend this place to all.
I can’t say how happy I am for getting the privilege to dine at Lisa G’s. The environment was quiet and relaxing but also not overly prim and proper, we ate on the patio with an amazing view of an old preserved dam with the sounds of the water falling and the ambience, I was very impressed. We ordered the “Cheese Treat” and it was one of the best things I’ve ever eaten period. Try it, you will not regret it. We also got chicken wings that were perfectly cooked and weren’t just run of the mill wings, 5 with maple bourbon glaze and 5 medium spice with Cajun seasoning and Bleu Cheese. So good. Highly recommend, and worth the drive if you aren’t nearby.
Waitress was very nice & brought food accurately & in good time. Fried fish & French fries were super delicious. Fish was fresh fillet & fries were hand cut with potato skin on them. The Old Bay dipping sauce delicious. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the buttered pasta & excellent fries with honey mustard. Will be going back!
We had a great dinner here the other night. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get seated pretty quickly at a high top in the bar. The food was hot, plentiful and delicious, especially those french fries! I liked the unique menu items as well as the colorful and extensive cocktail menu and can't wait to go back to try a few new things. Definitely check out Lisa G's!
My wife called in for take out. We picked it up and headed back to the Airbnb to eat. GREAT place. Fast and friendly service. My wife had the fish taco's and she loved them. I tried the short rib tostada and it was truly magnificent. Very tasty and filling. Was told by our airbnb host that this is where the locals eat. Highly recommend this place. We had intended to eat in, but they were full with reservations. Still, take out is a great option. You will love this place.
Fantastic place for dinner. Plenty of seating inside and outside. We got reservations and had some flexibility moving it around as we ended up being delayed. Small free. parking lot and ample street parking on a busy Saturday evening. Food was excellent and watermelon cocktail was strong. Chicken parm was to die for. I usually find calamari too salty but they got it just right. Service was very prompt and friendly. Waterfront view at sunset was the perfect way to end the day.
This place was great for a couple of reasons! First off, they're pet friendly for outdoor patio seating and we're very accommodating for my friend with her dog (even brought a small dish of water). Even though it was cold outside, they kept the patio nice and warm and it overlooks the water running by restaurant. Several more families with dogs arrived while we were there and it was just such an amazing feeling knowing that all parties could enjoy a fantastic meal with craft cocktails alongside their 4- legged family furry member. This definitely makes this restaurant a ONE OF A KIND in Lake Placid as so many people travel with their pets and a bunch of places that were on the main strip that I called didn't allow pets outside unless it was a service animal and options were limited. The quality of the food here was exactly what we were looking for along with higher end craft libations. The Calamari appetizer was fresh and batter was seasoned well. The Shrimp Tacos were DELICIOUS!!! The cocktails were definitely well balanced, boozy and made with fresh ingredients. I would come back here for lunch or dinner definitely my next time in town. The service was very friendly and time appropriate. The ambiance inside was beautiful and felt upscale with a warm and welcoming feeling. Great for any type of occasion.
We were so impressed by this place. The QR code for food allergies was priceless. Our server Tyler was excellent and took the food allergies seriously. He worked closely with the kitchen and let us know exactly what was safe. The food was also really tasty and used fresh ingredients. Would come back again if we ever travel to lake placid again.
cozy and comforting atmosphere. The booth we sat in for four was quite small but nonetheless we all fit. The Noodle Soup and Cheese Treat were delish! definitely encourage making a reservation during peak seasons.
We found flavor town! Stopped in to Lisa G's for lunch and was immediately hopeful because the Mediterranean influence is evident on the menu. We ordered the chowder and the lemon Ceasar. The chowder is well balanced and ends on a spicy note. The lemon Ceasar is exactly how it sounds, but better. The lemon dressing has the perfect touch of lemon. Very flavorful. We also split a fried chicken sandwich and 5 wings. The chicken sandwich is well proportioned and balanced. It has dill, pickle an aoli dressing and served on a potato roll. Very delicious. The wings we got are the Korean BBQ flavor that comes with a Wasabi cream sauce. Again, very flavorful. We were not going to have a cocktail, but lunch was so delicious that we stopped at the bar for a Rum Bum. They did not disappoint. This is a well-balanced summer cocktail made with a good Venezuelan, 4-yr old, rum with a good story. It's on the label :). The service is excellent. We were seated quickly. Our server was diligent and courteous. The bartender... amazing. Looking forward to another visit. We travel a lot and this is an excellent place for lunch. Actually one of our top lunch spots of 2024.
We’re locals who have loved coming in for years. We brought our niece in and she saw their pink christmas Tree and when we went to see it they had just taken it down. They saw her sad and put it back up for her! It was so sweet and all the servers are so kind. 🩷 she said 10/10! (Food and drinks are also amazing!)
Food was pretty good. We went in mid-February. They seated us on the back deck. Not all of the heaters were on. I asked for it to be turning on and another employee stopped the other employee from turning it on. My feet were frozen by the time we left. Service was great! We would go back again in the warmer months.
I had the most delicious roasted beet Reuben sandwich with fries! My plans suddenly changed while I was up in the Adirondacks, so I asked a friend where I should eat and they recommended Lisa G’s. Because it was a last minute decision, I didn’t make a reservation, but I only had to wait 10 minutes in a very comfortable seating area. Next, the friendly hostess gave me multiple dining options: indoors, enclosed porch, or outdoor patio by the stream. I chose the enclosed porch and felt super comfortable. The waitress was friendly and the beet Rueben hit the spot. I also met a delightful dog named Leroy who was celebrating his first birthday, so that was unexpected perk! Finally, it was easy to find parking, and I walked off my Reuben by taking myself on a walk on the nearby rail trail. Great experience!
We’ve come here multiple times after some strenuous hikes in the high peaks. We’ve always been so impressed by the quality and quantity of food, leaving us happy and satiated! The atmosphere is charming, and the staff super friendly. The food itself is spectacularly scrumptious and beautiful- definitely recommend the shrimp tacos and blueberry bacon pizza!
If your in the neighborhood, get here. I suggest reservations. I made some just on a whim and an so glad I did. Wait staff are excellent. Outside seating is beautiful when you can but inside looks comfortable and warm. The cheese treat is a absolute must. I had the pork chop special and my gf had the salmon. We both agree so far this is the best food we have had in a while. We will visit lake placid again if only to come back for the cheese treat. 🧀
Service was speedy and friendly, food was fantastic, and the outdoor patio was awesome! We got the goat cheese and blueberry salad and the fried chicken sandwich, along with some wings. Everything was great! They get bonus points for being very dog-friendly. The menu was fairly unique, and just about everything sounded good. I'd definitely recommend Lisa G's to anyone looking for a good meal at a decent price!
Honestly, I did not think I would like this place looking at it from the street. I was wrong! Food tasted very good!!! Prices were pleasant and the quality of the dishes was great. If you are in Lake Placid you should check out Lisa G’s you’ll be pleased! Seems like in the summer it looks even better cause they have outside patio facing the water cascade.
Thank you Lisa G.’s for offering an interesting menu that doesn’t disappoint! The german potato salad., cheese appetizer, lettuce wraps, burger and salads were all wonderful. The only thing I would change is the fries…I prefer larger fries. Thank you for permitting our furry family member to dine with us ! He enjoyed a burger as well! Four paws up!
Great food and service! We didn't have a reservation, so we had to wait about 30 mins for a table but we hung out in the bar, no problem. Casual dining and bar area. We had the Beets and Blue Cheese and Maple Burbon Wings for appetizers. The Haus burgermeister I had was amazing. My husband had the pork chop special,he says it was a small portion but otherwise good. My daughter had a cheese flatbread pizza. We walked here from our Airbnb, which was nice, so we got to enjoy some cocktails. The "Up in smoke" was really good. I also tried the "Chilly Chili" cocktail but it was a little sweet for my liking. They switched it for me with no charge, which was appreciated! Definitely recommend this place if you're in Lale Placid!
Atmosphere and service here were incredible. Lovely cozy bar restaurant atmosphere that felt like tourists and locals alike were meandering through the place. The food: I got a chicken parm. The chicken itself was hefty and tender, I think about 8oz chicken breast. The chicken paired well with the marinara and pesto. The marinara, however, was a little bit on the sweet side, so I did not particularly enjoy the pasta underneath and left most of it. I would order the chicken parm again despite the pasta as I liked the chicken that much. We also got a cheese treat to share and this was unique. A good bit of pungency from the broiled feta to go with the bright olive oil as two unique sources of fat in the dish. This was all complimented by a sweet and spicy combination of a light drizzle of honey with some jalapeños. All brought together over a bed of peppery arugula on crunchy bread. I will definitely be preparing something like this in my house some time soon My wife got the fish and fries. The fish was also hefty, probably in the neighborhood of 10oz of fish. It was coated in a very dill forward breading which was unique to what we usually see in fried fish. This was very good and the fries were prepared appropriately with a small touch of additional flavor from the scallions. Both were welcome dipped in clearly housemade tartar sauce.
Since Lisa G’s has a heated, enclosed patio, it’s pretty much the only restaurant in Lake Placid that accepts dogs during the winter. The menu also looked good, so we went for dinner on a very busy winter holiday weekend with our new puppy. The food was delicious and service was great. The staff were all very kind, despite our puppy’s almost constant barking and whining. I was so anxious having him there that we ended up leaving a bad tip by accident, so I thought I would write this review in an attempt to make up for it. Next time we’re in town, we will be sure to come back and tip better!
Very solid good. The fish-n-fry was very tasty, and I was able to share it with my picky eating kid. The chicken Parm was tasty and shareable. The lettuce wraps were good, but we're had better. The service was great, and the restaurant was very cozy.
We had our rehearsal dinner here and it was amazing! The private space was so cool, complete with a balcony, living room area, and bar. The food was absolutely delicious and our guests loved the “family style” dinner where everyone got to try a little of everything. And the service was incredible - they were so accommodating and friendly. It was a perfect start to our wedding weekend. Thank you Mike, Megan, and the rest of the wonderful Lisa G’s team!!
Definitely have Fish&Fry, delicious and special! Waited about 45 mins for the table, which may make the foods more delicious🤣. Honey Garlic Wings also special but a little sweet for us, the ranch sauce not match it, maybe can consider changing to the other sauce for this flavor’s wings. Overall Great!👍
Went to Lisa G’s on Sunday night for dinner. Our waitress was CiCi, who was awesome! Very friendly and funny, prompt and excellent service. We had the miso noodle bowl, the miso glazed salmon, and the heirloom bucatini. All three dishes were excellent, especially the salmon. Also had an ice cream waffle for dessert, which was great as well. Thank you to the staff (especially CiCi!) for making it a great experience!
We came here for dinner during our long weekend to Lake Placid -- the food was incredible! We really loved the calamari that comes topped with a delicious pesto sauce. It was such a unique take on one of our favorite appetizers and the pickled onions, olives, and capers that came with it added an additional layer of flavor. We also got the French dip sandwich and the chicken parm -- both of these dishes were excellent as well. The staff was so sweet to our dog, they got her set up with a water bowl on the outside dinning deck. The hostess greeted our dog so warmly and made us truly feel welcome and at ease as Lisa's G's is a dog friendly restaurant. Make sure you stop here to eat if you are in the area!
Amazing experience. Made a reservation and arrived 10 mins early. They had us seated and in the requested area as well. The drinks and food were spectacular! Well seasoned and delicious. I had the pepperoni pizza and my wife had the haddock. Both were so flavorful! The fried calamari was also very delicious. Let’s not forget the drinks and the calamari! 5/5!! Would definitely recommend!
Awesome drinks and good food. Outside seating by water, tucked a little ways from the main part of Lake Placid so easy to find parking. Also super helpful that they take reservations. They were super kind to us with our dogs making sure they always got water and had a spot to sit outside. The wait staff was attentive. The chicken parm and the chicken sandwich were delicious after a full day of hiking. Will be back next year.
The wings were the best I have had which is saying a lot about the wings. Perfectly crisp without being over. The salad was light and refreshing with enough dressing to taste but not drenched in the dressing. The desert was light and airy to add the perfect ending to a delicious dinner . The cocktails was delicious and refreshing.
Cozy little restaurant. Made reservations online for dinner and decided to arrive early and grab a drink at the bar. Our table ended up being ready early so we were seated before our reservation. The server was very friendly and energetic. My husband ordered the fish and fries and I had the goat cheese and blueberry salad with grilled chicken. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. My husband really enjoyed how his fish was lightly battered and cooked. Overall exceed expectations and would definitely come back!
Told 45 min for table of 6, waited 60. Thankfully they have places with couches to sit while you are waiting. Service was on the slower side but the manager helping out too. Place was defiantly busy. But food was awesome! Wings are award worthy! And other crowd pleasers for the rest of the table on the menu. Welcoming atmosphere. Would definitely come back here again.
Food is very good Hamburger was excellent, Caesar salad with chicken was good. Price is decent. Too little loud drunk 4 young women were talking too loud until they were gone.
Been dining here many times. Food is eclectic and can satisfy a myriad of tastes! Something for everyone. It’s the best food and value in Lake Placid for sure, we have tried them all! Portions and taste are always consistent and very reasonable. We never leave hungry. I would not say it’s outstanding, it is after all an upscaled bar. The service is good, a bit understaffed, but who isn’t these days, they get the job done and work hard to cover the bases. Always had a very pleasant accommodative server, thank you! Reservation is suggested, trust me. Without it you will wait (depending on the size of your party) and possibly need a haircut while doing so. So why the 2 start on atmosphere you ask? Well the place was renovated not too long ago. They have done an amazing job and it looks awesome! It was loud in there prior, but now it’s over the top ridiculously loud! According to my decibel meter the noise was a steady 75/80 and approached 110 at times! 75/80 is vacuum cleaner loud, 110 is approximately jack hammer/in door sport arena/low end concert loud! It’s mostly due to the hard paneled ceiling and glass window wall between the bar and dining area. So loud that the only way to converse across the table is to speak LOUD and with 50-60 + people trying to speak to one another over the 5 guys lit up vying for superiority over one another’s testosterone and the one or two women with the circus clown laugh that makes the wine glasses break, the only way is to talk to one another is on the edge of yelling to one another! My ears were ringing for 30 mins after I left the place. So be forewarned, turn your hearing aids off if you use them or bring sound limiting earplugs and you’ll be good to go!
Perhaps a 3.5 stars. The service was great and our server did whatever she could to make our experience great. We ordered few type of wings and calamari. Calamari wasn't good and was overpowered by pickled olives and other pickles. It was replaced by traditional calamari at request but we could only take two bites from the traditional. I cannot explain the taste but it wasnt fried to crisp and it had a very strong smell. So we returned that as well.
Great experience at Lisa G's. I've been there a few times and the food has been great each time. Fairly ambitious menu touching a lot of different genres, but they do each one well. Great wings, but make sure you're in thr bar area for the deals.
It was meh. Not their fault: blame Whole Foods’ RAO’s pasta sauce, which was 100 times better than the one served in the Chicken Parmesan pasta plate for $17. Don’t get me wrong, the service was excellent and the food looked appetising, but I’ll have to be honest: the quality was not there. To start, we had the chips with salsa, guacamole and warm queso. The chips’ flavour was bland despite being crisp. So why the four star, you may ask? Well, the salmon was excellent, and the cold white bean salad was absolutely delicious. Small portion, though... If you just spent the whole day hiking and skiing in a -7 °C weather and you are extremely hungry, this place will not do it for you.
Lisa G’s is a go-to spot in Lake Placid for hearty comfort food served in a warm, family-friendly setting at prices that won’t break the bank. The menu leans into crowd-pleasing classics and generous portions, making it an easy choice for a relaxed family dinner or a casual night out.
The food was excellent. The menu is eclectic, with items from every cuisine. I had the enchiladas, which were excellent. The mole was a touch sweet, but all of the flavors were so good. The tortillas were deep fried and stayed crispy with all that sauce on top. Prices are a bit lower than other restaurants in Lake Placid, and I think the food is better too. When we arrived it was really busy. Seems like there are often line ups. No one came to our table for the first 20 minutes, but they realized the error and quickly corrected it. My beer came came in a minute, and the food was relatively quick as well.
The wife and I were recommended to check out this place by a couple while descending Mt Marcy. It was a long, tough and definitely tested our patience and our love for each other! I was so hungry I felt I could’ve eaten an entire cow. The restaurants was a very busy and looking for a parking spot was rough. The wait was long but totally worth it. We ordered the lemon Caesar salad, nachos, the hot meats pizza and the Haus Burgermeister - everything hit the spot. They seemed a bit understaffed but our waitress- super attentive and made sure we stayed hydrated once she heard we’s just come off the mountain. All in all, it was a perfect way to end a tough day. Highly recommend!
flatbread was OK we got the pepperoni. But the miso, glazed salmon and the chicken Parm were very good. The chicken Parm surprised us with a walnut pesto on top and just added immensely to the flavor. The cocktails were good highly recommend the banana pancake bourbon cocktail that was our favorite and we thought it was better than the Berry bourbon cocktail. Overall, I would go out to eat here again and would highly recommend.
Used to eat here all the time and it was great. Got the lemon pepper wings and was not impressed. Sugar covered wings and not lemon flavored at all. My girlfriend got the noodle soup and that was good she said.
We recently dined at Lisa G's in Lake Placid and had a mixed experience. While the food was excellent and the staff was friendly, we were disappointed with the back patio seating. The tables were quite wobbly, which made for an uncomfortable dining experience. Additionally, the lack of shade on the patio made it uncomfortable on a sunny day. If you have kids or are bothered by wobbly tables, I’d recommend avoiding the back patio. Overall, the indoor experience might be better for families.
The restaurant has a charming atmosphere, but unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark for us. Everything was a bit too salty for our taste. The waitress didn’t offer dessert, perhaps assuming we weren’t interested given how little we’d eaten. The sweet chili oil on the fish tacos, in particular, didn’t appeal to me—it wasn’t the flavor I was expecting. Overall, it wasn’t quite what we were hoping for.
I had ordered the Thai coconut curry bowl- the food arrived cold but the hostess was gracious and got the food remade for me. The food was spicy and the appetizer of fried cheese was also mediocre. The ambience is awesome and the staff is very courteous. The prices are on the steep side as well.
Basic American fare. It was really busy on a Monday night due to wings night I’m assuming. We had to wait 45mins to get a seat at around 6pm. The service was friendly and the restaurant was cute and homey. The food was good but nothing blew me away. The calamari was great and came with a giardinera. The fish tacos were solid and crispy! The salad was well executed and came in a big portion. The wings however were soooooo dry and over cooked we couldn’t finish them. Idk if it was an off night but they were chewy. Overall decent place and there seemed to be a lot of locals!
A big & costly mistep marred what could have been a truly good meal. First the good: The "Cheese Treat" appetizer was a winner -- a must for any cheese lover. We enjoyed the beer selection and companions enjoyed a chicken dish and a pasta entree. Service was pleasant. The bad: The night's featured special was a 7oz filet mignon with savory bread pudding and a mushroom & wine reduction sauce. Sounded fantastic so we braved the higher price point and ordered it. Unfortunately, this was a great concept that failed in execution. The filet itself was streaked with gristle and sinew, making about a third of it inedible. The savory bread pudding (which you'd think would be unctuous and buttery) was heavy and bland. The sauce was very basic and overly salted --- I can't say whether it was homemade or not but it truly tasted like a packaged food service product. Was really a shame. If you go, recommend sticking with the lower end of the menu.
We came here tonight, a party of 8 of us, for wing night and there was a piece of hair in our wings , it was even on top , it was inside of it , so so disgusting. We told one of the servers and they said they will send a manager. A guy came over with a small plate with one wing on it and says “ one hairless wing” (not sure if he was the manager or not but who the hell says that !? It’s almost as if he was teasing us. We didn’t want the wing. To think no one apologized or even offered to take the wing off the bill?! So disappointed
Hi, not one to post regularly on places although I do appreciate a good food post; I appreciate an even more honest one however as well. This restaurant is honestly just mid. Read the reviews ahead of time, thought fine, seems good. Wrongo. Ordered dry & tasteless bread, feta & hummus dip which felt like it was made by a 7 year old montesorri student. Ordered wings which arrived cold, salmon which was ultimately taken off the bill because it too was cold. It basically had a jar of teryaki sauce poured over it. I could have done it better myself. Save your money & time. There are better places around. Also - note to kitchen - and staff - if there’s a delay in kitchen time due to a malfunctioning kitchen appliance, maybe comp the table & explain this so our food wait time doesn’t exceed 55 minutes. Just saying. Thank you.
