Took my family and everyone enjoyed their order. I had the pasta carbonara special and it was divine. My son has the gnocchi and was similarly impressed. Service was great and the environment couldn't be better... fine Italian food to the sound of crashing waves. Delightful!

Stayed @ Villa Del Arco. Felt weird having Italian food in Mexico, but the food was delicious. I had the calamari/shrimp for appetizer. Meal was shrimp w/ fettuccine. The shrimp was amazing.. Dessert was Apple pie/ice cream Mmmmm can't beat the views waiter was very very nice as well.

We had a great time dining at this restaurant while staying at the Villa del Palmar Resort in Cabo. The food in delicious and fresh and the restaurant is facing the Sea of Cortez with the most breathtaking view of the water and the beach. Our server Manuel, who served us more than once, did a phenomenal job every time! Also would totally recommend their fritto misto seafood appetizer.

We split the filet and lobster tail special and it was fantastic. Filet was bigger than 7oz advertised. Caprese salad appetizer was excellent. Grilled vegetables with entree were plentiful and top notch. Excellent meal overlooking the crashing surf. Would return.

Fabulous food and great service! Restaurant is at the Villa Del Palmar Hotel, gps took us somewhere else… once we found it, we had an amazing experience and probably the best chicken parmigiana I’ve ever had! 5 people including 3 children with no alcohol or desert was $160US, but very worth it!

We ate at this restaurant every morning for breakfast, and also for dinner. We enjoyed the breakfast, it was pretty filling and had many options, including personalized, omelettes, and pancakes. The views in the morning I spectacular and I highly recommend coming here for breakfast. For dinner, we enjoyed the Italian night, with some fantastic pastas, and some very well prepared meals. If you are on the all inclusive plan, then you will enjoy eating here a number of times on your visit.

This gem has got to be the best beachfront restaurant in this strip of San Lucas. First off, it’s raised up a bit affording a spectacular view of the bay and rock formations. I found myself going back every day. The food exceeded all of my expectations, something that’s a difficult accomplishment in the world of Italian eats. You can tell the staff if treated really well and love their jobs, because there is an authentic feeling of the service they provide. It’s really top notch, and priced very fairly. I highly recommend their breakfast buffet, everything is fresh and they will go out of their way to make specialty foods or modifications if there’s something not quite to taste. They also have a really nice wood fired oven right on the beach for fantastic pizzas. I’ll be back!

The eggplant parm appetizer was pretty good but this egg pizza with prosciutto was reallllly good! Especially after a few too many beers last night. I sat facing the water with the sound of waves crashing which made for a nice mood. They will pack your leftover pizza in a box to take home too!

Great pasta, great pizza, great anti pasta. And hey, you can't beat the walk from the resort. Just a heads up, parties of 10 or more are required to eat family style.... And you don't order. They bring you what they decided on. We got a 3 pizzas, 3 pastas, 3 meats and 3 salads. We were a little hesitant about not being able to order, but our group of 12 was not disappointed.

Bella California is a restaurant that belongs to the 3 property Villa Group. It's located in the Palmar property near the beautiful ocean view. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Dinner required reservations. We had an all inclusive deal, so pricing will not be considered in this review. Breakfast: We visited Bella California for breakfast every morning while staying there. The view is beautiful, the coffee is strong, and the food was delicious. A few of the main menu items change daily, so you may get something one day that you REALLY like, and not see it again. But they do offer many stations with deliciousness. The pancakes, waffles, french toast station was a little out of the way and I didn't realize it was there until our last day. I never tried the omelette station but looked promising. Fruits were always fresh. The morning staff was always courteous, and made sure we were taken care of. Zero complaints about breakfast at Bella California. Dinner: We visited Bella California twice during our 4 night stay. It just seemed like the better candidate for a romantic dinner. Our dinner experiences varied for us. One being amazing, and the other just being "okay". Our first night we went for my wife's birthday. The place was pretty busy, but we got lucky and were sat ocean view as the sun went down. Our appetizers, and main course were hot, seasoned correctly, and delicious. The plate presentation/arrangement was done pretty good. The soft Italian music and ocean waves in the background (and the wine), hit just right. And at the end my wife was brought out birthday cake and had the pleasure of the staff singing to her. It was a great night to say the least. Two nights later we went back for our 25th wedding anniversary. They took note of this when I made reservations. But we were seated next to a big column obstructing our view of the beach. Not a big problem. We ordered some of the same appetizers since we enjoyed them so much a few nights before. This time, the calamari was chewy and super salty. Main courses were not arranged as nicely as before, and they were also too salty. My wife had ordered the lasagna, which was a bit dry on the edges. They should serve it in a small deep dish and pop it in the oven instead of on a plate, and possibly microwaving it. They were not as busy as they had been a few nights before, but our waitress was very hard to find at times. I had to ask other waiters/waitresses for items. (BTW two of the waitresses looked very similar, same height, build, wore glasses, and of course they wore face coverings. It was hard to tell them apart at times). When dessert came, I got the Canoli, which came on a huge plate. It looked like a fried burrito on a big plate... That's it. Zero presentation. I wasn't expecting much, but they knew it was our 25th anniversary. Again, no problem... I was there with the important part of my life and we made the best of it. I didn't take pictures of our second night. Just wanted anyone reading this, that Bella California dinner could be a "hit or miss" situation. It's still a very good place to visit though. This restaurant had great Italian food and pizza. We ate here twice. The first visit, the waiter could have been a bit more attentive, but it was better our second visit. We were mistakenly given the wrong elite member discount for the first meal. The manager very kindly corrected that. The mac and cheese and pizza are especially great. You have to order the flaming chocolate dessert...even if you don't think that you have room. 😃

The ossobuco was disappointing and super tasteless. My clam linguine pasta was delicious. Bruscetta’s bread was too cold as well as the eggplant parmigiana and its sauce. Pizza was good. Panna cotta was good the creme brule had unpleasant texture.

The server was nice and got the job done, but had us there 3hrs because it took so long between course's. The pana cotta was all wrong...way to much gelatin but the flavor was there. Would be go back? It's a maybe

The views are spectacular, but the food is average. My daughter’s pasta dish was sub par and said it tasted like what she has poured out of a jar. There was not alot of sauce either - dry pasta. My ravioli was ok - extremely small portion for what you pay. Probably would not return.

My husband and I came here for one of our dinners during our honeymoon, the location is nice because it’s in front of the ocean. I would recommend coming right before sunrise to get a nice view, we came at night so we didn’t catch the sunset views. Paty our server was very nice and sweet, our hostess Liliana was also pleasant and I like how she took some time to talk to us. The food however was not good at all, I got the steak with risotto and both my husband and I did not like the taste or texture of it. Because the service was great we would come back in hopes that maybe something else on the menu tastes better.

We’ve been going to Bella California for 20 years. Always delicious food & service. Last night was the first time we’ve gone since the 2025 renovations. We had excellent service & a beautiful view. Unfortunately, the food was a total disappointment. Risotto was runny, calamari was rubbery & so was the shrimp. Mussels were unusually small & I even had an unopened clam. My husband’s Oso Bussco had an iodine taste. We wrote it off to a bad night until several others at the resort told us they’ve had similar experiences over their visit to the resort since the remodel. Hope they get back on track soon with serving quality food & preparation.

Ordered lasagna and ribeye dishes. Lasagna was dried out along the corners and edges, as if it were microwaved before serving. Ribeye was not a ribeye cut, way too many tendons. The potatoes that came with it were dry and burnt on most sides. The "sauce" that came on the dish was more of a pasty gravy. My beers were served with grime and dirt on the cans. The view is nice if they seat you at the edge. Staff is friendly. They allow smoking, which was a put off, they sat us right next to a table with a smoker.

The Ossobuco and parmigiana chicken were a disappointment, tough and dry. Good Woodfire pizza. Services is average, nothing special. Prices are high considering the poor quality of food served.

Service was very slow. It took 15 min to seat us, 45 min to bring appetizers, 45 min for main, and 45 for dessert. The place is obviously under staffed. Lucky if you can catch the server every 30 min. Food is a hit or miss. Must of the dishes were average or below. The ambiance is nice if you get to sit on the beach in the open area. Flies everywhere. This restaurant has potential. Great view nice location, and good menu. But obviously has management issues. All the other restaurants in the resort are very good. So this is definitely a management issue. If resort management is reading please fix this restaurant.

It’s 2022. Get some vegetarian options.

If I had negative stars to give I would! My husband and I went for a nice vacation and made the reservation for this restaurant at 6 (when they opened) first ones there. As we ordered, our food never arrived. We ordered a risotto to share (that made it in after an hour) and a fetucinni and a lasagna. Only the risotto came out after an hour. I asked about 4 times where my food was and always oh its coming out. Everyone else including walk-ins but us got their food before us. Talked to the supervisor on sight all she said was she was sorry. Not once did she offer to send us our food (we would have still paid, as we were hungry) nothin. Never again. We felt discriminated by our own kind! All the american tourists got their food except the latinos. Do not go here. Horrible experience

The waiter, Carlos, was absolutely amazing. He was sweet, helpful, and patient. The problem however is that the hotel/restaurant owners give you a worse exchange rate than what the actual exchange rate should be. In other words, they take more of your money than should be legally allowed since they were providing a different exchange rate than the official rate!!!
