Good food and friendly staff. Our office team meets here every Tuesday.
Good bbq brisket I also had three sides potato salad my favorite and coleslaw and mac and cheese were good!! Spicy bbq sauce was delicious !! Will come back !!
Awesome spot! I usually go in for the grilled chicken and jalapenos cheddar sausage, but today I got the Ranch Boss: chicken and brisket sandwich... I did it naked (no sauce), so good. Great owners. Love it!

I stopped by the Dickey’s BBQ Pit in Alpharetta recently, and while the restaurant itself felt a bit quiet and dim when I walked in, the service was excellent. The person at the counter was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about the customer experience. I ordered the brisket, smoked chicken, and ribs — and honestly, the food was much better than I anticipated. The brisket was standout good — tender, flavorful, and comparable to what you’d find at more high-end barbecue spots. The smoked chicken was a little dry, but that’s fairly common for smoked poultry, and the flavor was still solid. The ribs had a strong smoke profile — maybe a bit more than I prefer — but they were meaty, came clean off the bone, and tasted great overall. I didn’t try any sides this time, just the meats, and for what I paid, it was a very fair deal. Despite the sleepy atmosphere, the food quality was genuinely impressive. This location may not look like much, but it’s quietly been serving good barbecue for years — and I’m glad it’s still around as an affordable local option.
Got 1 lb of brisket. Can't say much about this location as i've only been this 1 time.

Our experience at this restaurant was disappointing. The food itself was good quality and the place was clean. However, the portions were extremely small (very poor value). Also, the restaurant was dark (many bulbs were burned out) and dingy. Our last experience at a Dickie's was in Midland, Texas and that was excellent, so we decided to try one closer to home. My recommendation would be to go to City Barbeque instead. The food there is as good or better and you get a lot of quantity for the money in a brightly lit atmosphere. The owner of this franchise also needs to pay more attention to the condition of the store.
Restaurant was very warm. Didn't feel like the air was on. Did not have any baked potatoes, texas toast, sweet tea or turkey. Food was okay, nothing to brag about.
This place has the tell-tale signs of going out of business. The tables were empty at lunchtime. No napkin holders or sauces were out. Several bench seats were ripped and stacked with boxes. The tea containers were completely empty and not brewing; the manager poured tea from a gallon jug from behind the counter. And the food was sub-par. The pork BBQ was dry, and the rolls were NOT the hot, fresh yeast rolls that Dickey's is known for. They were room temperature, day-old (or x-frozen) grocery store dinner rolls. Yuk! I usually love Dickeys BBQ, but this place was a big disappointment. It's clear this location is suffering from lack of business, and they are cheaping out to try and hang on. I feel for them, but don't plan on returning. Dickey's Corp really should look into this location to see if they are violating franchise standards.

Very small portions of food. The plates looked empty compared to other similar establishments (I work at a bbq restaurant, so I know how a meat plate should look like). Along with the other reviews for this location... food was dry.

Food served cold, bread was not toasted and soggy, seats and tables in disrepair, coke machine watered down drinks, men’s bathroom out of service, women’s bath in disrepair missing toilet tank cover and safety rail falling off wall beside toilet. No need to message me back as it appears it has been this way for a good while with previous reviews and no change. Just avoid this location.
This place is a joke. We had a gift card to use, and they told us that they can't accept our gift card and that we could place an online order with the gift card instead. However, when we did that, the total was over $10 more for the same order. Staff didn't want to help resolve the issue. They were also out of half their menu. Don't waste your time here.
Meat was very dry and did not have any flavor at all. It was also very cold. It looked like it belongs in a prison cafeteria. The potato salad tasted like it came from a grocery store and was the only good thing to eat. We honestly threw the food out and went to eat at 5 Guys. Would have asked for money back but didn’t think they would give it back.
Absolutely horrible!!! Purchased 2 meat plate. Sliced brisket and pulled pork w/ okra and slaw. Both of my meats were cold, chewy and looked like they were cooked about a week ago. The slaw was warmer than the meat. I could not eat. The guy making plates microwaved the meat on my plate as if i was going to eat it. Gross. Completely lost my appetite. You can get better quality food from the soup line downtown. Did not trust the meat or the slaw. Too risky. recommend never coming here. A waste of $13. YUK!!!!
Alpharetta location. DO NOT GO HERE! I should have listened to the reviews! I had never been here but it was close by so I'm always one to give a place a chance. Bad call, everything these reviews say is true. Dark, unclean, no one in the place. The meat itself was ok but everything else was awful, no taste. The toast was a piece of cold, white bread. Baked potato casserole was dark mashed potatoes with no flavor. Vinegar tasting beans, sour coleslaw. The prices are ridiculous for the size even if the food was actually good. The fact that this cold, tasteless food was $47 for 2 meals is the most ridiculous part of this. They need to close this place down. I will be sticking to Sonny's and Jim n' Nicks for sure. This was so disappointin!
The store owner Ravi completely dishonored the T-Mobile Tuesday deal of a free sandwich. I put in the order online using the TMobile Tuesday offer coupon for a free sandwich and he said he is not participating in that and he can’t serve the sandwich even after the order went through completely online to his store. He was arrogant about it and asked me and couple of other customers to leave the store. I wasted my gas and time driving to this store. Please don’t go in there!
I ordered 3 items. I was given the wrong thing for 2 of the 3 things…how does that happen. I ordered a bowl of chili which is supposed to come with brisket, pork, cheese, and chives…the bowl I was given had ZERO brisket, pork, cheese, or chives. I also ordered (1) slice of Texas toast, and was given a “breadstick,” 1/2 the size of an Olive Garden breadstick. Mind you, there were no other customers in the restaurant…so it’s not like they were swamped, busy, etc., to excuse the poor accuracy of my order. Poor service 4/23/25 Update: You can see managements reply, and their decision to not replace/provide the original items that were ordered, and not provided at pickup. IE., because they’re not serious about fixing the issues…as demonstrated by the multitude of bad reviews left by customers. BEWARE
I ordered the chicken at the Windward location. I normally like dark meat, but I have had white meat at other places that was not so dry. The chicken was very dry here plus the attendant said that you don’t get a full breast because every meat serving is 6 ounces so he cut my chicken and left part of it off without weighing it at all. Highly disappointed I will not be coming here ever again. Sonny‘s barbecue is 100 times better.
LISTEN TO THE REVIEWS! 3 of the 6 pieces of "Texas toast" were not even toasted and they're actually soggy! and 1 is an end piece!! seriously?! plus it's not even Texas toast, just plain white bread! The meat is DRY, more fat and grizzle than actual meat. The coleslaw is not fresh, definitely going sour. My 8 year old could cook better BBQ than this. THE WORST bbq I've EVER had in my life and I can't even get a refund. This place should be out of business.
I don’t know how everyone rates such small portion in photo for two meat plate. But I cannot rate more than 2 stars for a $19 dish. Brisket was dry and they missed chop/slice. I have to say that there are quite a few good bbq places around. It’s not worthy considering here at all! Btw, the owner told me to email him. I did the same day. No response of course. He just wanted to pretend that he cared customers while actually not.

No wonder this place has bad reviews. Here is a pic of a $3 dollar pork taco... One strand of pork. Based on the last two purchases at this place, I recommend that you avoid the trouble, frustration, and poor value. Eat somewhere else.

I ate lunch here today and was sorely disappointed. I ordered a pulled pork plate with two sides. The pulled pork was being taken from a plastic wrapped large pork piece, and there was no evidence of anything cooking in this restaurant. There was a sign right above the ordering area that brags about the "Daily Smoked Meat". With my pulled pork, I ordered Mac N Cheese and Slaw as my sides. The line did not have any visible food in the containers or service line. The line cook lady took a huge bag of mac and cheese from under the counter, found the knife back at the pulled pork station, cut the bag, and poured an enormous, precooked, yucky orange mess of mac n cheese into a warming container. She then stuffed a small side dish with the item. With this, I also received a sort of strange roll type bread product. The to-go container and bag were generic, and my sides would not fit into the box. They bounced around the bag as I searched for other to go accessories. I saw another sign for a southern sweet tea recipe with the face of a nice looking older lady over the drink station. When I went to get my drink, I saw that the tea was instant Gold Peak. Another sign, another broken promise. There were large red table top napkins dispensers situated around the dining room and they were all empty. Sad rolls of paper towels were placed in front of the empty dispensers and I ripped a couple off while searching for a fork and salt and pepper. There were forks readily available, but alas, no pepper, and I was happy to leave. There were so many light bulbs out that I couldn't really see what was going on inside this restaurant, which, after my visit, is likely a blessing. The food was not very good.
