First time here. Plenty of parking outside. A lot of options. There is a very sweet and handsome gentleman who will show you what all they have including pastries, sandwiches, gelatos etc. Everything looks soo good! I ordered some mini pastries to try, hazelnut gelato which was very rich creamy and had hazelnut aroma. Quick service!
Everything looked sooooo good! To be honest. I haven't eaten what we bought yet, but I am very certain the tiramisu (my favorite dessert ) and cannot is will be excellent. The staff were fantastic!
Been seeing reviews and videos of this place and just had to come see for myself. From the customer service to the pastries and food, everything was phenomenal. Will definitely be returning soon.
We spent a lovely, unhurried afternoon at Bella Sicilia, taking our time selecting desserts and enjoying the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The owner was exceptionally knowledgeable and polite, offering thoughtful guidance without any pressure—exactly the kind of service that elevates an experience from good to memorable. We also ordered a sandwich with chicken, arugula, and cheese on beautifully crafted bread. It was perfectly balanced, fresh, and genuinely delicious—simple ingredients executed with care and confidence. Overall, it was a perfect date: relaxed, flavorful, and personal. A place that clearly values quality, hospitality, and the joy of good food shared well
What a treat! Love the authenticity! Gelato was excellent! Must try! Great cannolis too! We will be back to try more of their menu offerings. If I never make it to Italy or Sicily, that will be a shame but I'm very glad to have this place to visit here at home. Excellent!
Bella Sicilia Bakery & Deli is an absolute gem! They offer authentic Italian pastries, delicious gelato, and classic deli favorites that are clearly made with care and quality ingredients. Every employee was incredibly friendly and helpful, they took their time, answered all of my questions, and made the whole experience feel welcoming and unrushed. The pastries were outstanding, and I’m already looking forward to coming back to try one of their sandwiches next time. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re craving a true taste of Italy!
My husband and I went here for the first time today. We are from Lancaster so it took a little while to get there but was well worth it. The food of course was wonderful but the service was absolutely spot on. We were immediately greeted and then we were treated to the best tour of delightful pastries ,cakes and cookies...which is why we were there. She was so friendly and knowledgeable about the product that we wanted to buy the whole store!! Anyway, the pastries are amazing and we also treated ourselves to Gelato while we were there. The next visit we will be enjoying some of their deli items that looked delicious. Don't miss out on this great place!!
We stopped in to grab some dessert for a celebration and this place did not disappoint. The tiramisu, top notch! The gelato, Fantastic! Pastries, chefs kiss. They even have a hot bar with real deal Italian meats & cheeses. The people leaving negative reviews are wrong. Plain and simple. Probably the same type of people to rave about olive garden. Where else in central PA can you go and get legitimate imported Italian meats & cheeses that aren’t in a blister pack? I’ll wait. If you’re looking for quality and class, stop in to see for yourself. Nick treated us like family when we walked in, answered all questions and gained my family’s business without trying. We will most definitely be back!
I believe this is the best bakery in the area. The fresh artisan food they serve is probably the best I have had. The manager Nick is so accommodating and will literally explain the culture and what all comes in the sandwiches. The ambience of the shop is amazing and very peaceful. I will definitely come back and you should try it
Originally I had given this place a negative review due to selling me expired cheese. But hey shit happens sometimes, and when I brought it to their attention they were professional, respectful, and replaced the item without issue. So I couldn’t be happier with that outcome. Bella Sicilia has a great staff, and their pastries are easily some of the best I’ve found in the area. Their arch of happiness is so damn good. Highly recommend. Their deli meats and cheeses are solid as well. It would be nice if they expanded their deli selections in the future to have more options. But what they have now is of high quality. Very happy with this little gem.
Well worth the drive!!! Had the porchetta aged provolone, broccoli rabe on Semolina bread, was absolutely delicious. The fried calamari didn't make it out the parking lot. Took home some pastries the lobster tail with sweet cream had to be one of the best I've had. Im orginally from NY moving to PA this place definitely saves me a trip back home!!
The Gender reveal cake we received is way more prettier than the one we ordered. The cake is delicious and honestly I haven’t had cakes as delicious as this. Overall awesome experience. You should get your cakes ordered here for sure and I do highly recommend ordering from here. You will not regret it
Decided to stop here last minute, we came in about 10 minutes before closing and the man there, who I’m assuming is the owner, took time to explain each pastry to us and was very kind. Everything we got was absolutely delicious and everything was presented beautifully. On the way out, we sampled some gelato which was delicious and creamy. Definitely will be returning when I’m back in the area.
The Favignana sandwich was fantastic i also got the cappuccino and it was decent as well as the cream puff which was really good! The staff were amazing especially Maria! A couple things I would say is just for people to know that there is a surcharge when you use your credit card so bring cash, Also if you decide to dine in just be aware that there are only a couple tables and when it gets busy there is not much room but besides that everything was excellent!
Absolutely loved this place! The sandwiches were incredibly fresh (we built it from scratch including salami, capicola and mortadella) you can really taste the quality. The owner mentioned that the meats are shipped straight from Italy, and you can tell. We finished with their chocolate gelato, and it honestly brought us right back to Rome. It’s not cheap, but every bite is worth it. Highly recommend!
This place packs up their gelato cups to the brim! The workers are very patient and very proud of their work. My friends and I ordered 3 large cups and 1 small cup and received very generous portions. The large cups, they allow you to select two flavors. We paid a total of 27 bucks which is very cost effective for their amazing flavors!
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Hands down the BEST gelato I’ve ever had. I also tried the L’estate sandwich and it was 🤌🏼 chef’s kiss. I got the sandwich on focaccia bread and the bread itself was delectable! The customer service was incredible. They are very welcoming, attentive, and transparent. I will be a frequent customer at this place for sure. Well done my friends 🙌🏼😊🇮🇹
Absolutely Outstanding – A True Taste of Sicily! Bella Sicilia Bakery and Deli is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk through the door, you’re greeted with the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked bread and authentic Sicilian specialties. Every product here tastes like it was made with love and tradition from the perfectly flaky pastries to the fresh, flavorful deli items that transport you straight to Italy. The authenticity is unmatched. You can truly taste the difference in the quality of their ingredients and the care that goes into every item. It’s rare to find a place that nails both bakery and deli offerings so flawlessly, but Bella Sicilia does it effortlessly. On top of that, the customer service is phenomenal. The staff is always friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They take the time to answer questions, make thoughtful recommendations, and treat every guest like family. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, picking up treats for a special occasion, or just indulging in a little taste of Sicily, Bella Sicilia Bakery and Deli never disappoints. Five stars all the way highly, highly recommended!
Me and my son tried 3 kinds of cannoli's chocolate custard and sweet ricotta they were all delicious. Also had the tiramisu again delicious. I want to try the coffee next time I go. And can't wait for the deli to open up. Service was great the atmosphere was great!! Keep it up!!
Heard about this place after my wife recommended it by seeing a video online of their chicken parm sandwich. My first thoughts when seeing the bread in the video was this was not crappy bread that you find in Harrisburg or Mechanicsburg supermarkets, so I needed to check it out. Coming from NY, I feel I am pretty well versed when it comes to heros so I gave it their taste test. First off, when you walk in, there is no indication on what you are supposed to do or where you are supposed to go. I originally thought I was on the line to wait to order, but it turned out the people in front of me already ordered and were waiting on their food. Maybe because I came on a busy day on the weekend it was like this, but not sure since this is the only time I've been here. After a minute or two I saw people passing me and decided to ask where the line was. Turns out there are two lines, one for pastries and one for sandwiches, but there is nothing that says or shows this. I went to the sandwich line which is on the other side of the store towards the register. After waiting on line for a few minutes I finally got to the front. My wife was waiting on the pastry line. I was greeted by a nice young Italian guy who had the Brooklyn look which was nice to see for once. I believe he and his mom run the place if I am not mistaken. He asked me for my order, I looked up at the menu and saw "Sandwiches" as a heading for one of their menus on the wall. I was relived to see that and not Hoagie or sub or some crap like that, that you see everywhere in PA. The correct term is sandwich or hero. So already a plus for them when I saw this. I told him what I wanted and at the same time my wife placed her pasty order. She wasn't finished yet so he saved my order and as soon as he did thst my wife was done but I already left the line and had to go all the way back on line again to pay for my order which I did not appreciate. Maybe it wasn't their fault since they do seem to be a but overwhelmed from all of the customers. One thing that would work great for them, would be to have a number system like all the big bakeries do in NYC. The ticket number system would fix their unorganized issue like magic. Another thing I would recommend is having a sign on the pastry side for pastry orders only and maybe another register on that side and one on the other side for sandwich orders. This would help keep the lines moving and food going out much more quicker and efficiently. After about 30 minutes since I originally ordered, (yes 30 minutes) I finally got 2 sandwiches to go and made my way home. I originally ordered light cheese and light sauce but I think that may have been forgotten. Overall, the sandwich was not bad at all I must say. The bread is what makes this sandwich, without the bread, the sandwich would just be a regular chicken parm hero you can find anywhere. The sauce on the sandwich was good, I felt they could have melted the cheese a bit more, but the chicken cutlets were nice and pretty thin which was good to see. One thing I think that would elevate this sandwich even further would be to have an option of garlic bread instead of regular. Thus would instantly elevate the taste as I have had them before in NY and they are to die for. I also got some mini cannolis and rainbow cookies. The rainbow cookies have chocolate sprinkles baked in the chocolate on top. One thing I would also recommend for the owner if you are reading this, don't bake the sprinkles into the chocolate on top, instead just add those little tiny rainbow sprinkles on top like they do at the pastry shops in the bronx. Provides a much cleaner and tastier experience. I think if they can fix the line issue and provide a quicker turn around for getting the order, they can be much more profitable, because I will say, as I was waiting for my food, I saw numerous people who were about to come in, saw hiw packed it was, just turn around and leave. Lost money going out the door before they even had a chance to come in. Would I be back? I believe i would for another hero.
First time here. The place looked clean and had a nice atmosphere. However, I was not impressed with the pastry I purchased. The mini cannoli didn't have the cream all the way through so it was empty in the middle. (Taste was good) and the sfogliatella was flanks but I could've broke a tooth on the very hard edges. Then it had a huge air pocket that I've never had in other bakeries. The taste was also not my favorite.
We ordered 2 pastries and 1 slice of cake. The 2 pastries were fine, nothing to write home about, but the cake was frozen SOLID on the inside. We had to dismantle it (as seen in the photo) just to eat it and even then it wasn't good. The staff looked at everyone like we made their day worse by being there. No one talked to us until we were ready to order. And the layout inside does a bad job of guiding guests. Not worth going back.
Stopped for my daughter’s birthday dessert at 730pm. Plenty of time before closing to just grab a sweet treat. The two people there were not friendly in the slightest. Not rude but not friendly. You would have thought we ruined their night just but getting a couple things out of the case. Sorry but for the price you pay it doesn’t make it worth it if you feel like you are bothering them. Very disappointing. So much better when Maria is there. Even the previous owners were so much friendlier than what we experienced last night
