My boyfriend recommended this place for a date so I was trying it for the first time and was super impressed. The pizza was authentic and delicious! Our waitress was very kind and timely even with another huge 6-8 top on her plate. Super clean place.

A great Gettysburg-Italian experience! Pizzas, calzones, pastas, salads and more. They have something for everyone here. The penne carbonara is excellent. Good veal scallopini, chicken Parmesan and the lasagna is made fresh daily! Fresh salads, good bread. Pizzas hit the spot. Beer and wine. Limited wines and no mixed drinks. Friendly service. They aim to please.

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary when we came to Gettysburg! We were torn between this Italian restaurant and The Dobbin house and we eventually went with this place. We were swayed due to very convincing reviews including photos that showed even better looking photo to go along with it! When we arrived we were met with a really appealing atmosphere, greeted by someone immediately upon walking in the door and then greeted by a really sweet bubbly waitress who was very thorough, pleasant, knowledgeable of the dishes, and just very good service and then the food each food item we ordered was better then the next from the bread they give you to start, from the calamari we got for the appetizer, to the salads that came with our meals and our entrees we got both the lobster ravioli and shrimp pompadori spicy EVERYTHING was absolutely nothing short of AMAZING! We will most definitely recommend this place to others and come back again sometime when in the area! Update; we came back here last night because we both had a date night and decided we wanted to go back for the experience and food and were looking forward to it! Unfortunately the server really plays a role in the experience over all and this time ours was not very personable, attentive, engaging, or even thorough as our bread and salad came late, our drinks didn’t get refilled as they should and our server barely interacted with us the way the last young lady did and we were soo disappointed that we didn’t have her. We were put off to the side by ourselves while everyone else was in the main dining area. The food was good which did make me happy however I was very bummed because I did leave there feeling as though I wasn’t as excited to come back as I was prior to this time. We will still come back once more and give it a shot but I hope next time we can get the waitress we had, we can’t remember if her name was Sophie or something similar but she was just very good at her job and very personable. We weren’t sure if the gentleman we had was training or new but the experience overall just wasn’t the same and we felt as though we were skipped over more and barely even given what we needed. Thank you for yummy food though!!

The aroma at La Bella Italia is like walking into a restaurant in Naples. Our salad was very fresh and tasty. The homemade bread was warm snd flavorful. Our pizza was delicious. The chocolate lave cake was the topper. Absolutely awesome. Our server was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!!

Stopped in to check out the cheesesteak subs and was quite impressed. This is exactly what I've been looking for. Husky portion size on the perfect fresh sub roll. The cheesesteak is underpriced at $13 IMO, great value. The sub roll is my favorite kind. Made fresh in house, not some kind of hoagie bun from a bread vendor. The amount of cheesesteak was almost double what you get from most other places. My fiancé got the ziti, which she's still talking about 4 days later. Says its her new favorite . The $18 price tag had me startled at first, but once I saw how much they give you and how good it was, it made sense. The mozz sticks are my favorite kind. The thick square cheese logs. Marinara sauce was on point too. Cheesesteak: 9.5/10

Speechless!! This place is SO GOOD!!! 10/10 on everything! I got lobster ravioli with a red/white sauce mix and I’m in LOVE! My fiancée got a Philly pizza and it’s absolutely delicious! Waitress is awesome and the vibe here is so comfortable. Would totally recommend to anyone !

Food was amazing as usual, we stop every time we are in Gettysburg. I had the chicken plicata and Jim had the Lasagna. We ate is so fast I forgot to take a picture of them LOL. I wish we lived closer so we could go there all the time. Just amazing food, service and atmosphere.

This is one of our regular places to eat. They have great pizza and stromboli, good subs, and nice pasta dishes. We mostly get it to go but we done in occasionally. The service can be great or it can be so-so depending on who you get. The atmosphere is nice Italian decor, but it feels a little cramped. I do recommend this place to fill your belly.

Ummm .. easy enough order, I thought. I was wrong. One cannoli to go, please and thank you. The restaurant was not busy and I'm still wondering why I had to wait over 29 minutes for one cannoli to go. A small Asian woman wearing metal rimmed eyeglasses took my order and said one cannoli I said yes please. She shifted her eyes and dashed off into the main room. I sat and waited. And waited. And waited some more. 10 minutes later I approached the podium, I asked to make the payment. $5.82 out of a 20. Cashier asked do you want a receipt, yes please. Receive my change, no receipt. Okay, you forgot me, you forgot my receipt and you forgot napkins and a fork. So much for attention to details. 12 minutes after I paid for the cannoli to go, I approached the original woman I spoke with the small Asian woman, she had a deer caught in the headlights look and acted as if she'd never seen me before. She started babbling excuses, I said NO. And I said what happened. I approached the podium, place my order, you said this you did that and I've been waiting and I paid and I'm waiting and waiting still. Sometimes you need to take on a stern tone of voice because otherwise, well you are forgotten. When I said the interaction, she talked over me, stops talking and left again. Eight minutes later, Emerson arrived with a cannoli in a to go box and apologies. This seems to be no sense of urgency or organization here, the cannoli was fabulous and so was Emerson who seem to be the only person there with any common sense, but if you value your time, if you like good service, I would steer clear of this place. Very sad cuz it's in walking distance but forget me once, I forgot you twice. I am embarrassed for you...

The lasagna was a major disappointment. It came out pale and totally bland. the cheese had no flavor, and the whole dish just fell flat. For what they charge, it was not worth it. The water tasted awful they need to change the filter.. On the bright side, our waiter was good, friendly and on top of things. The bread was also really good.

We have ordered from here before and have never had an issue. However, we were really disappointed about our experiences last night. We called 3 hours before our pick-up time to order for 6 people, so that they had planty of time to prepare. Sadly, when we picked up the food we realized all of our side salads where missing (that's 6 salads, which are included in the cost of your meal). The resturant CALLED US to apologize because they realized they forgot the salads and asked if we wanted to come back to pick them up AND they would include a free dessert. We said it was completely fine, because we already paid and didn't want to make the trip back out, it was no worries at all. Everything was fine until the manager realized THEY DID NOT CHARGE US THE CORRECT AMOUNT. The manager took the phone and wanted us to drive all the way back to pay an additional $50 dollars after they forgot some of our order AND they mischarged us. We expressed, politely that we would not be returning and the manager got mad and before we could say anything else went "OK. BYE." and hung up the phone on us. I couldn't believe it. In addition, they were speaking Spanish ABOUT US while on the phone. Sadly for them they did not know that one of us was FLUENT in Spanish... We are so disappointed because we like this place, but will not be returning.
