I had the pleasure of stopping by this charming spot this morning while waiting for my husband to pick me up. I ordered some tea, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. After driving past this place for the past twenty years, I’m so glad I finally had the chance to check it out! The atmosphere is inviting and relaxing, I can’t wait to return when I have more time to explore their delicious menu!

We come for the live music they frequently have. We enjoy sitting on the deck having our wine. We then have dinner inside afterwards. Lots of great menu choices.

Excellent little restaurant in Campbell with a very cute older charm. Everyone is very friendly and the service is fantastic! Gina is a wonderful waitress and she made my entire morning with her upbeat attitude and great service! Dan was up at the counter when my food came out and handed it to me so I wouldn't have to wait. You'll never see the bottom of your coffee cup and someone will always be around to ask how you're doing. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place was great. Went for dinner and got two Togo orders for later. The lunch was yummy . The ham and cheese was crispy and a good portion size. Our to-go orders were 2 turkey dinners. I highly recommend the turkey dinners. The place is nice and welcoming whether you come in jeans and a T-shirt or dressed a bit nicer. Our server was very friendly and packed our to go orders very well so there was no gravy spillage on the drive to our hotel.

When Bill is running the Karoake show, it's the best around! When it's the female counterpart, don't waste your time. She'll sing every other song herself and it's always those annoying show tunes. She thinks she's going to be discovered. The food is really really good! I have dinner there weekly!

Have not tried dinner here but will at some point. We bring our 3 month old and have had no problems. We love Effie's!

This place has been around forever and I'm glad it's still here. Old school decor but very nice wait staff. Food is clasic american at very good prices for this area. I went with a group of ladies for lunch. Most had sancwiches, which there was a large variety. I had one of the lunch specials, cup of soup and a chicken salad sandwich. What I found remarkable was the swirl pattern of the bread. Visually extremely pleasing.!

The Bay Area food scene has a lot going for it, but its biggest gap is the lack of diners. Effie's is a fancy version of a very good diner. Their menu is extensive and they have a full bar. I ordered one of my diner faves -- a triple decker (known at Effie's as the house club) -- and holy cow, it was fantastic. Real roast turkey -- not the slimy deli version -- on sourdough with bacon, shredded lettuce, tomato, and mayo. I immediately wanted to come back the following week to order it all over again, but unfortunately, Effie's is out of my way. Maybe I will become a monthly regular, though! Also had to try their chocolate/vanilla cake (forget the name), which is made fresh daily, and it was heavenly -- rich, indulgent sugar bomb of my diner dreams.

Thursday is the day my uncle and I go hiking and then out to lunch. Since we'd "hiked" on the Los Gatos Creek trail, we were nearby Effie's, and my uncle, having been there years ago, wanted to try it. However, this was MY first time at Effie's, and it was good. There wasn't a crowd, so we were able to pick our table wherever we wanted. Our waitress, Robin, was exceptional. Quite the busy bee, darting from table to table (both inside and outside!), and never ONCE did my tea or my uncle's coffee go unfilled! My uncle had his favorite cheese omelet with potatoes. I usually go with a salad (and their taco salad looked DELICIOUS), but I decided to try the House Club sandwich with French fries. I'm glad I did. As you can see in the picture, it was quite a hearty lunch! The French fries were perfectly cooked, and the sandwich was the great. My only complaint would be with the iced tea. It was starting to get that what I call "skunky" taste, meaning it was an older batch and not freshly made. Still, I drank it since it wasn't yet to the point of not being drinkable. Other than that setback, all was well at Effie's, and I hope to return to try that taco salad.

Came on a Saturday morning and the place is really chill and not hectic! You don’t have wait too long for food! (Honestly the atmosphere is really nice and the chairs are plushy so we ended up just relaxing and talking and didn’t really notice the time.) We have a family member with autism who is very fixated on eating the same items every time he comes here and our server Alfonso was super accommodating and actually gave us a couple extra options so that our family member could get all the items he wanted without putting in multiple orders for different things! I’m a very slow person on picking food and Alfonso recommended the Chorizo skillet, which was super good! (I’ve never had good chorizo before so it was also really eye opening.) Another family member had the Back Home omelette and it was really fluffy! Like, I’m used to eating “omelettes” that are kind of flattened out so this place’s omelette was so soft and fluffy and we were so surprised that we ended up sharing it around the table. Thanks for a great breakfast!

We frequent this establishment at least once a week but it’s usually more often. The menu is vast and has something for everyone. I do love the beef stroganoff! This evening we were served by Kirsten in the bar as well as Mookie and Robin in the restaurant. Ramon, the chef, knocks it out of the park each time. He’s extremely consistent. All are friendly and efficient. We really enjoy and appreciate the “themed decor” the owners daughter creates. She certainly has a talent for making the restaurant festive!

This place is a hidden gem! I’ve been to this restaurant many times, and every visit has been nothing short of fantastic! The food is consistently delicious, the service is friendly and fast, and the portions are very generous for a very reasonable price. I’ve tried several dishes, and each one has impressed me. I’ve had their carne asada tacos, philly cheese chicken, patty melt, smashed burger, nachos, clubhouse, prawn cocktail and chicken tortellini soup. Their desserts are truly next level! The pistachio cake is so light and flavorful, the chocolate temptation cake is so rich, but the real showstopper is their crème brûlée. It’s served inside a fresh pineapple. The top is the classic crème brûlée and the bottom has a layer of caramelized pineapple. It’s absolutely amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Had a blast at Sunday karaoke, that starts at 4. Jamie was a very nice karaoke host. Jess, the bartender was quick and efficient. With my coffee drink, which was perfect. It’s very had to get a good coffee drink outside of The Buena Vista. My garlic fries were hot and crispy. The regulars were friendly and everyone was dancing. A good time. Plus very inexpensive for Silicon Valley. A big plus, a big parking lot.

I enjoy the food and service at Effie's. There is no wait time as they have plenty of tables inside and out to seat you quickly. The food is very good at reasonable prices and the staff are on top of things by seating you swiftly, getting you water, menu and your order in a timely fashion. I was randomly in the area and wanted to grab a cup of coffee and a quick bite to eat. At first glance, it looks a little run down but the inside is far from that. The servers were genuinely kind and the atmosphere was calming. They also seem to celebrate the holidays I was impressed with their decorations. Being from NJ, it reminded me of the east coast. I ate the oatmeal with bananas and raisins and it was delicious. This place is awesome!

I go here for the great karaoke crowd, but that does not take anything away from the food. They have several wonderfully prepared menu items and a variety too. The bartenders are nice even though I drink iced tea. I would recommend if you like a lively atmosphere.

This is your classic neighborhood watering hole bar restaurant. Many of the patrons are locals, and you get the feeling that a good amount of the patrons know each other, the owners and staff intimately. Not in the amorous way, but in a sort of familial kind of way. I have a friend who is one of these regulars, and if I ever come to see her, Effie's will be on that agenda where I will have a vodka tonic and a beer and a nice catchup with my friend before moving on to our other social activities. The restaurant is located near the main Street at the edge of the residential neighborhood. It is its own standalone building, and is not surrounded by other businesses. I don't have much to say about the restaurant here because all I've ever participated in here was the bar. I imagine my experience is enhanced by being here with a local who I can observe participating in her natural environment, and introduces me to all the other regulars as well. My overall impression is the people are friendly, the drinks are good, and the establishment has been around for a good long while. Maybe one day. I'll actually have a meal here and can then comment on the food. This is why I can't comment on the rating for food. I don't know if they still do, but I understand. They also do karaoke here..

Somewhere. between ok and good sits Effies. Place was nice looking seemed clean. Friendly waiter, white table cloth but covered in. Clear hard plastic cheapens the place but I get it. Coffee wasn't stellar but not cheap burnt farmers. I'd say it was good. We had breakfast. I liked that it was not overly salted. Effies special was just ok but perked up with salsa. Ok value typical of breakfast prices in the area. We may go back to try th.chicken fried steak.

Went for late breakfast, early lunch. Was seated as we entered with no wait. Interior is dated and could use some freshening up. Really large menu that suggests alot of the food has to be frozen to keep such a selection. My omelet was ok and pancakes were good. Service was great. Place is clean inside. Would go back. I had brunch there today and asked if they could create a Greek omelette for me since it wasn't on the menu and the waitress didn't sound instantly agreeable but finally accepted to do it (just add some olives and feta cheese to The Omelette is all I asked with some avocado) you'd think that I was asking a lot. I ordered fresh fruit on the side which upon eating that found the fruit was not fresh and was already starting to turn as it had this awful rancid taste to it so I had to toss it out. For the quality I didn't find the price was worth it. I won't be going back! My bill for just a simple omelette along with my friends was over $56! That's a crazy amount for breakfast that doesn't have quality ingredients!

It was ok. I had a roast beef sandwich. Very dry and the sourdough bread was a bit stale. My wife had a club. It was heavy on turkey, which she usually loves, but it was also a bit dry, and she said it was light on bacon. Service was good. All in all a mediocre lunch.

Cute spot with old school feel. If they remodeled it just a bit they could keep that feel but make it feel a bit cleaner and more modern. Club sandwich was fantastic but soup was way too salty. They have a kids menu which is nice, would be great if they brought a couple crayons and a paper menu for the kids to draw on like a lot places have these days. Food came out pretty fast but took a long time to get the check. Definitely has potential. Nice atmosphere, you can tell there’s a lot of local patrons who have been coming for years.

Me and my wife visited this location for dinner, one of the waitress told us to sit anywhere we'd like, there were 2 waitresses, and the one that helped us seemed to be in a rush, eventhough she said hi, she asked us if we were ready, we said not quite ready and she walked away, the coffe we got was cold and seemed to be sitting in the pot for a long time, she came back and took our order, we ordered a sampler appetizer that came at the same time as the dinner, my Philly cheese steak was good and hot, the French fries were cold, my wife ordered the taco salad and had a good presentation but as she started to eat it looked like they chopped 3 hamburger patties and placed them on top of a handful of lettuce, the waitress disappeared for a few minutes and we had to call the bus boy so my wife can order something else, then the waitress came and we told her the situation and she rolled her eyes and took the new order, the she came and dropped the French toast which half wasn't cook all the way, she never came back to check on us, finally she came and slammed the check on the table and walked away, we didn't want to complain about the food cos she might think we wanted free food. Anyway we always go to country inn in prospect. But tonight we wanted to give it a try here. It's sad how restaurant business is not what it used to be, nowadays owners managers are so greedy that the only thing they care is to make money, and servers see that if they are careless(owners and managers) of course nobody cares, I used to work for a long time in the restaurant business and was totally different great service and good food( this is the second order we got. Just to prove that is not BS!!!!

Hammed the owner is wonderful but unfortunately he does know is staff is robbing him and driving business away. Gina Demands I pay her in cash every time I have cash and Michelle doesn’t demand cash tips but also accepts cash gifts. Cindy yells at people constantly and blames the owner saying men can curse but women are not allowed to curse. Please don’t go here because you will be treated awful by the elderly waitress.

I ordered the liver and onions to go so I didn’t see what it looked like at that moment. It was so thin and burnt. No gravy on it and very dry. The mashed potatoes taste like it came from a box. Very disappointing. That was $26 wasted. I do not recommend this place. I wish I took a photo!
