Great place. Great food. Great Happy Hour. One of our go to's when camping at San Elijo State Beach. Very welcoming, comfortable place. Easy to walk to. Gorgeous area!!
My son and I came to Tower 13 to support a friend for his Rockademy performance. I was really impressed with the outdoor space. There is plenty of shaded areas and the tables seemed more than 6 feet far apart. I had a Caesar salad and a glass of wine. The Caesar salad was very good and the bands were rocking!
Roadside bar and grill. They may have the game on. Good place to watch them but if you are looking for quiet... maybe go some other time. Very good burgers and sandwiches. You can order a burger with a lettuce wraps instead of the bun :) Naturally, they have craft beer. Staff is very nice
Nice and casual. Service by E.T. was great. Be back soon. Happy anniversary.
Great little bar/restaurant. I went on a Monday evening so it was quiet. The ambiance was nice though. I got the Tower 13 IPA, which I recommend. And the ahi sandwich was delicious. I thought it was going to be like an ahi Burger; however, it was actually served on sandwich bread. But it didn't disappoint. They had an apple and Brie burger that I almost got, but when I saw they had an appetizer with apple and Brie we ordered the appetizer instead. It was really good but small. There were only five, bite size portions, so it's almost like a single serving appetizer. Service was good. I'll be back.
We love this place! Right across the street from the beach in Cardiff. We take a drive up the coast on Sundays and always stop in. Super friendly staff. Good vibe. They have some pool tables, TV's for sports, and outdoor seating. They used to have live music. Not sure if coming back die to Covid-19. Yummy food with craft beers and tasty cocktails. 🙂👍
Good food and atmosphere. Lots of various choices on the menu for reasonable prices. Baja burrito was excellent. As we're the fried fish tacos. Bar area also has pool, darts, shuffleboard, foosball and pinball.
Ahi Tuna Tostadas are my all time fav. here! Fried Calamari and veggies are also VERY yummy! Wings are great. Drinks good. Location, off the beach, is wonderful. Never had a bad or medium staff encounter, they are all amazing. Very relaxing place to be at.
Come here with an attorney friend of mine for a burger during lunch. Always good food. Also try the lobster brisque. Not sure of the spelling. Staff is always nice and prices are fair for the coast. Haven't had anything other than the cheese burger and soup so can't speak to the other items on the menu Happy to come back and try them.
Really enjoyed the food at Tower 13. Delicious sea bass, prime rib and chili (with a definite spicy bite). Chill vibe with lots of screens for the sports fanatics. This was our first visit, but we will definitely come back for more!
Great food, service, drinks and location! Our new favorite spot to grab a bite and drink after work. The ahi poke tostadas are awesome, but we hope they bring back the fish ceviche!
Walked in to some fantastic local live music. Prompt, friendly service. Great beer and drink selection. The BBQ Burger was amazing. Would go back in an instant for sure!
Love visiting Tower 13. This is our go to place to watch all UFC fights. The wings, honey hot are our favorite, are delicious... the nachos are easily splitable with a big group, beers are always cold and they have a large variety. All the food we have ever ordered her has been awesome. The parking lot gets full quickly and seating is at a premium. Great views of the beach and great food/service!
I love this place. It's my second night camping at San elijo and I've been here three times already. fun drinks (that I can enjoy outside with my dog), many types of wings, great service (Colette is amazing and so are the other girls), across from the beach and if you come at the right time the sunset is gorgeous. this restaurant is on a little piece of paradise and I don't want to leave....rhiannon and mama...peace and love from Canada (canaduh lol) xoxo
Randomly pulled over to this place, so glad we did. Great little space, amazing ocean view, drool worthy food. Everything was perfect. Mimosas were cheap and tasted amazing. Highly recommend. 👍👍
We stopped in to watch the Brown on MNF and even though the game was really bad and we only lasted to half time, we enjoyed ourselves. The service was very friendly and they happily turned on the outside TV for us. The beer recommendations were helpful and the wings were good.
I saw Kasey Coe and the Cohorts perform here. Had a couple beers and a nachos appetizer. Delicious. The Nachos thing was exceptional-- some exotic cheese and spice to it-- not just your standard cheese-ish sauce and cheap stale chips. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, clean restrooms..
Update: Dog friendly patio, tons of space I outside after converting the North side parking lot. Had lots of shade, that was so nice during the heat wave. Watched the sunset from my table WITH my dog, i mean it really doesn't get any better than that! Original: Had such a good time at Trivia Night on Tuesday at 7. Great cocktails, great beer selection, fantastic food (pizza is my favorite and Ahi Tostadad are insane), what more can you ask for? How about a shuffle board? They have it. Fooj Ball? You bet. Outside seating in the back? Absolutley. I love coming to T13 and will be coming back because their service was also excellent even with a crowd. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a great view of the sunset too.
Local Cardiff bar with pretty good food and friendly service. Happy Hour all day Mondays with cheaper IPAs, and an all-you-can-eat wing special that I have yet to try. I will say the atomic wings are no joke, very very hot. Come here to watch the sunset and stay for beers all night.
Food was really good. Place wasn’t loud. Waiters were nice. Perfect place
This was the best Beach Bar that I've to in a long time. Wish I lived closer to this good old fashioned neighbor hood Bar. Service was excellent. Had a Mexican Mai Tai along with a BLT even had avocado. Delicious! Brittney was the waitress and simply put she's a 10 when bv it comes to service with a smile. Next time I head south to Cardiff I will be stopping in again. Really great sports bar also.
Had a quick drop in a couple of weeks ago and the place was empty around 11am. The waitress had a great smile and she suggested the Bloody Mary. So good! I had huge plate of eggs Benedict and that was delicious as well! Great atmosphere with a view of the ocean across the street. Would recommend for breakfast and lunch.
Went for the first time with a group of former co-workers. Nice sports beach bar atmosphere and lots of beer to choose from. The staff is really nice. Highly recommend the Cuban Sandwich and Garlic Fries.
Food was very fresh. Everything was made from scratch.....even the cheesecake. So glad we went here instead of the greasy place next door. I had the crabmeat poke stack and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone in our group.ordered something different and we all were very pleased. The chef was trained in Mexico city and he takes great pride in his creations . I will be going back for sure
We had a lovely gathering for our annual ElliptiGO event (approx 50 people) at Tower 13 in Cardiff. The communication with Doug, Alex & Sydney was proactive & attentive. They set us up in the private back room; the perfect spot for us all to find each other, mingle & visit. I'm not sure how they managed it, but our service was exceptional and executed flawlessly! Our gathering started during happy hour (which many of us took advantage of the specials) and continued into dinner. We've been holding our annual ElliptiGO weekend for over a decade, but the place we used to meet up at went out of business and referred us to Doug at Tower 13. I'm sorry to hear any local business not making it, but I am so grateful for their referral. Tower 13 was the perfect spot for our group and we will look forward to continuing to gather here for years to come!! For a small, local business they really have their act together and do lots of fun themed events, feature some local music & are also a great place to watch sports. I'd absolutely recommend stopping in to check them out! Thank you to Doug, Alex & Sydney for our awesome event!
Yummy tacos, great view. Dog friendly. I would have taken one star off for our assigned waitress but a different waitstaff person, I think his name was Chase (it began with a C, my apologies I only caught his name at the end and I am bad with names. He had brown hair.) took over and made up for her. He was very attentive, sweet, and friendly. We felt at first ignored but he more than made up for the other waitress, maybe she was new? Anyway amazing tacos. I had a "mocktail" strawberry something drink too. Presentation... nice. Great place to eat and catch a sunset...
We come here to watch our favorite sporting events. Always have a fun yummy time. Only problem is there isn't enough parking for the packed house. That was ok for us since we are walkers anyway. But highly recommend
Love this place! So great for football Sunday’s. Staff was so friendly and always considerate of putting on games for people depending on where they’re sitting. Definitely coming back
Great beach bar to watch any sports. Plenty of wide screen TV's. Large menu choices to choose from. Prices are very reasonable. Their open early on weekends to watch your favorite teams.
This amazing and casual beachside spot was a perfect ending to my family's weekend. The atmosphere was relaxed, laid back and welcoming. Kaylie took great care of us and her smile was a nice change from the rudeness of others we had encountered all weekend. The food was great too, my older sons enjoyed their tacos and margarita pizza and my younger two enjoyed their quesadillas. My fish and chips were fantastic including the slaw and addicting garlic truffle fries. We also had amazing service from another girl there who helped run our parties food out, but neglected to grab her name. She was very nice and friendly too. This will be a must stop on future trips to the area! Thank you!!
Was there the other night to grab a pizza to go across the street for sunset, even though you can watch it from your table here, it's one of our favorite things to do! I can't say enough how good the food is here, but in our 30 years of marriage I have never been able to get my husband to even try a bite of fish, but after I insisted he try it, he ordered it the next time we went! We found this gem almost 2 years ago and we go quite often and it has been consistantly great!!! The staff is genuine, the service is as great as the food, so don't forget to leave a great tip! BTW, no I'm not related to anyone at T13, it's just really ~THAT GOOD!!!...;)
Stopped by for a farewell sunset dinner for my brother from PA. The sunset was great and the food was fantastic. As for service, Michelle took very good care of us and anticipated our every need. Long time Encinitas resident but 1st time here since our was Jay's. Coming back soon. Best restaurant on Cardiff restaurant row. 4/11/2019
Excellent and giant portions of chicken fingers and tater tots. Bacon chicken lollipops are spicy yum! Good healthy options as well. Mixed greens Chefs Salad and fish tacos. One important thing to know (that my son remembered a little too late this time 🙁) is that the brownie takes an hour to bake so order it right when you get there!
We've been here 4 times now and it's great every time. We didn't eat every time, but food is good. They have excellent mixed drinks and they do not skimp on booze. They have a shot called Coco Loco. Pineapple infused coconut tequila that is whipped somehow. Amazing. They also have a drink called the Mexican Mai Tai. It comas in a fun Tiki glass and is scary good. Very strong, they limit you to 2!.Fun location, try to sit outside and around the back. Cool spot back there that overlooks the shallow waterway on the east side.
Good food and excellent service. They have come a long way over the years. It is now cleaner and better run. It was always fun but more of a beach bar. While it is still a beach bar the quality and service has come a long way. The atmosphere is wonderful right across the street from the beach, and the food is plentiful and tasty. I hadn't been there in about a year because of some world travel, but glad I came back and will be there more often.
Tanya (the general manager) and her staff are excellent! We had some rain issues for our welcome party for our wedding and within 48 hours she reserved a private space for us and got staff available to host. The staff was amazing and so wonderful to our group. We have loved going to this bar locally but now will forever hold a special place in our hearts!
We went with family who are local, they said not to rate it too high so it doesn't get popular! This place has a really good chill vibe, wasn't too crowded, and we had our baby with us and a lady working here offered to wash out and fill her bottle for us! it's a little gesture that goes a long way for a parent. Thanks!
What a cool hangout spot right by the ocean. If you go to Cardiff Beach stop in and have a bite and a pint. Food was good and portions were plentiful. Good mix of local craft beers too. We went in 2020 so only outside seating was available, but it was so nice by the beach, that just made it better. Just don't park in their lot if you are going to the beach.
My Mom and I just popped in for lunch today and had the best meal and service. The High Tide burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten with a delicious mix of flavors, and the brownie sundae was decadent! Special thanks to our server Tom who was so kind and personable. You made our afternoon!
Fantastic sports bar in San Diego. Great service, food, and drinks. My personal favorite spot to catch a game in town.
Great spot, staff are always nice and helpful. The new parking setup is an improvement, spots are much clearer and it's less congested when leaving. Ashley is awesome; she remembers us by name, knows our usual food & drink orders by heart, checks on us frequently, and is especially kind towards my stepsister which means a lot.
Came in Saturday to watch the games with some friends on a recommendation for a good spot to watch some college ball. Our server Julia recommended the chicken tenders and said they are made fresh in house. They did not disappoint. Everything came out very quickly even on a busy Saturday. Our drinks were never empty and we appreciated the beer recommendations. We will definitely be returning. I think we found our new favorite spot for college game day.
This was my first time coming to this restaurant. Emily was our server and she was amazing. We also had the pleasure of meeting Darryl, I have never met such an awesome, loving soul. If you get the chance to come here, ask for Emily and Darryl as they made it such a fun experience. Will definitely be coming back here! Food was amazing too!!
In town from Denver and found this place due to the Indiana University alumni watch party. It's one of the best ran bars I've ever been to in terms of handling watching sports, the breakfast burrito was awesome, and the staff is incredibly friendly.
Really can't go wrong with any of the tacos. Plenty of flavors for everyone's palate. Decent cocktail list and an even better draft beer selection. I recommend sitting out in the back patio area eating tacos watching the sunset. A definite must if you're in the area.
They have great vibes! Across street from the beach, we sat on the patio with our pup. Food is tasty, we ordered: -coconut shrimp (it was good but only 5 pieces for $15, not worth it I wouldn’t recommend it) - Philly cheesecake sandwich (amazing! It’s a must) - tower salad with beef (very yummy salad, good portion, steak was a lil dried & over cooked I would recommend to add the same steak from Philly sandwich) -brownie dessert (soooooo good)
This is the best place I’ve ever been at. All categories. Absolutely perfect. The waiter did his job, and he did it good. If I had more money I would ask him to be my personal waiter at every restaurant I go to. Don’t remember his name, but I bet it was beautiful... The atmosphere inside the restaurant had everything I could ever ask for. Good chill music, not to loud. Nice booth’s. TV:s with cool surfing and some other sports. Not too crowded. The Royal Burger. It was perfection. The fries as well. Haven’t tased anything comparable to them. I’ll put up a picture of it all so you can see what I am talking about........... And in case you haven’t figured yet: YES, i would recommend this place to a friend.
What am amazing happy hour!! Bartender (nice girl with dreads,) was incredible.. Thank you for such a great experience! Pork sliders were so yummy! Staying at San Elijo campground, after the harrowing storm last night, this was such a ray of sunshine 🌞
Great litttle joint! Just across the street from the ocean. We had the tacos and Guac- carnitas, mahi mahi, snd shrimp-all so good! Great beer selection as well. Definitely worth a stop!
One of my favorite places by the beach. Excellent food! What is probably the most important these days is that we can be outside with our two dogs and practicing social distancing! I don't feel comfortable in most of the outdoor places, because their tables are way too close. Here I feel as safe as possible can be done. Thank you!
Service was a little slow at first, but the food turned out great, and the servers were on top of it with drinks. Dog friendly and close to the beach 😊 Live music as well 👍
Great local place with friendly and efficient staff.. Went twice while in town for a week! Fish and chips very well done, especially if you like Garlic fries.

Amazing atmosphere with indoor seating and then the windows open to the ocean just across the street. Class sports bar with a ton of TVs for watching sports and great drink selection/menu. Love this place!
We go here all the time. The staff remembers us each time and really makes you feel welcome. The Philly cheese steak is amazing and it is great bar food. It’s a really fun place to watch a game or listen to live music. The only down side is it can be hard to get in to during major sports events.
This bar has a touch of class. It’s extremely comfortable. One evening we sat indoors and had appetizers that were fabulous, shrimp and calamari. The windows were open and that beach breeze blew through. It was so nice. The following night on Friday, I returned to hear the live music. The band was really great and the service was very good, and the atmosphere is just a perfect Cardiff beach feeling. Comfortable attire is appropriate, no need to get fancy. They are quick to seat you and feed you and keep your drinks fresh and answer any questions. Food was amazing. And the band was excellent, playing in the open air back room. What a really nice place to relax and have good food, good music, and good friendship. I definitely recommend it.
I absolutely love this restaurant. We’ve been going for a few years and have seen evolutions with their menu. It doesn’t really matter what’s on their menu at the time, it’s always delicious. The staff is incredibly friendly and you’re guaranteed to have a good time. It’s also walkable from the train station and a great place to take a walk by the beach after eating. Really enjoy game days here, especially if you’re a Michigan or Padres fan!

I know no one wants to give their product away but when it comes to craft beer a sample of the beer is almost a must. I have had some pretty nasty craft beers and in order to try a new one I requires a sample, I will not buy a pint of a beer only to throw it out because I don't like it. No I will not do a sampler of many different beers. I know what know what I like and don't like. I'll do a sample, if I like it I'll buy a pint with no further samples if not I will order one I know and move on. Come on Tower there must be a better way.
Great atmosphere but the young blonde girl bartender there took 20mins to get my drink, only after the owner told her to help me and she still took ten more minutes. No apologies either. Not sure what the dea l is. May be a local clicky pretentious thing. Rest of staff has been good and fish tacos are good.
Good place to stop by for some drinks and small plates. They have good drink prices on mixed drinks and a bunch of beers on tap. They sometimes have live music and always have the game up on the TV's. Great views out on the water as well. The food is good, but there are so many other similar options.
Great sports bar right across from the beach. Beautiful sunset views, plenty of tvs to catch the games, and a good selection of beers on tap. There is also a really nice back patio that overlooks the lagoon with a big screen tv if you'd rather sit outside. The food is pretty good for a sports bar. I've ordered tasty nachos, chicken tenders, and flatbreads and all have been enjoyable. The only downside is that parking can be a little difficult as there is a very small lot that is frequently full. They have an all night happy hour on Monday with $3 off flatbreads and apps and $5 margaritas and beers. Go check it out!
Great variety in their menu, all the food we ordered (pizza, fish tacos, nachos, fried veggies) was very good,, drinks were just ok. Nice view from the limited outdoor tables. Inside a bit dingy, loud, classic sports bar.
I watched a Padres game here and had a great time. it was really overpriced though. $50+ for 2 regular size margaritas and a Caesar salad with shrimp... i did have a great time. just thought it was busy.
Great location! Across the street from the beach...Massive beer selection... many TV displays with a lot of football...Could do better with the food quality... nothing wrong with it... just, very low-key, beer food stuff... Fabulous staff.. always pumped up, always ready with a food/drink suggestion! Unfortunately, the restaurant no longer has NFL Sunday Ticket... No doubt a cost cutting measure due to CV19 - many restaurants in the area have made the same change... So, what we need to do is bring business to this restaurant so they can get all the games back! Local place! Local people! Bring the business back!
Fantastic waitress and very good drinks. A little expensive but the location is worth it. We only had garlic fries but WOW they were ridiculously good! The House Mai Tai was fantastic and well made, with the perfect ratio of liquor to juice.
Four plus stars seems about right. Walk right across to the beach. Two things I noticed rights away; The service is great, and the customers are happy and having a good time. Our waitress knew the menu and made two solid suggestions.Everything came out of the kitchen hot, and although we stuck to burgers and fish tacos, they were solid. Expect to meet some new friends and have a little sand in your shoes when you are done
Even though the menu was in the middle of changing, the waitress was so great and let us customize our food. She even let the parking lot security know our cars were okay to stay in the lot while we went across the street to the beach. The only only negative was how muggy it was inside the restaurant. Like all the windows and doors were closed and no A/c was on. The bathroom was worse. No air flow. But over all good food and
Great spot on the beach to watch football with friends (and the pets). Fish tacos were ok… but I really loved the chips, queso, and salsa. The refried beans were also delicious. Service was very quick and attentive. Good selection of draft beer and cocktails.
Great food, but expensive. Ok sfenery, though really cool sports watching and awesome staff. The truffle fries were great. Bit on the expensive side ($40 total).

We came in on a Saturday at noon. The Place was pretty empty. This sport bar his indoor and outdoor settings and is pretty big. The service was fast, the food was delicious, fresh and hot. it arrived less than 10 minutes from order. Prices are on the higher side. We ordered two burgers that came with fries and tater tots. We paid $50 before tip. One star down for the dirty menus that have seen better days and for the tip options at checkout. The tipping options they give you are 20% minimum and 30%. What happened to 15% and 18%? Many people choose not to custom their tip and end up tipping more than they wanted.

This is a nice place along the ocean to stop for refreshments and some food if you are hungry. It isn't flashy, which makes this feel very easy to settle into.
Tried the elote fries. It tasted okay. Could've been better with fresh cilantro, lime, and maybe fresh pico de gallo on the side. Also had the fish tacos. They were okay. Could've been better with more fresh veggies to cut down on the fried taste, more crema, and limes in the side. Handmade hot sauce would be delish too. I was given tapatio. The atmosphere was great. Sat in the patio area. Nice breeze and the beach air. The band was also enjoyable to listen to. Good vibes, food was just okay.
Hard to make a location, obviously given where it is. Unfortunately the food is not all that great. I had a Cuban sandwich and there may have been one small slice of meat and a small piece of pulled pork. Really disappointing portion size. And then the fry basket, a number of fries I could probably count on two hands. Maybe it was just the day I was there but I was left pretty disappointed

Our server was very sweet, but the house Margs not so great. When the bartender poured our drinks she was short so she added water. Not cool. Our drinks tasted like water and tequila. We won’t be back.
This was a tough one. I wanted to like it so much more than I did. I had been here once before, and had basically a similar experience. The food was good, the atmosphere should have been better, but it was depressingly empty, and the service was really horrible. I stopped in for a drink, a couple of appetizers, and a chance to watch the sunset. The good news; you can watch the sunset right in front of you, and there’s no wait for any table in the restaurant. This was the second time it has worked out like this for me. I know that would make you think that it was great because you could get a front row view to the sunset, which is awesome, because they are right on the beach, but it’s empty and it should be rocking with people having a great time. The bar portion was empty, and the ambiguous border into the dining room had one other party that left before the sun went down. In fairness, another party showed up after the sunset, but it didn’t bring the energy in the room up at all 🙄 The reality is, this is a tragic review, because the food is quite good, both times I’ve been here. In fairness again I had more things to try the first visit, whereas the second visit I had one appetizer because I just wanted to leave. Which brings me to the last portion of my review; the service… It really wasn’t good. I don’t honestly know where to begin. Was it that I was ignored from the moment I walked in (Definition of crazy; a full staff of waiters and waitresses/bartenders doing nothing but kibitzing amongst themselves, while one person in the place is not being waited on)? I sit down finally, and was ignored again, until finally the waitress brings the menu and then leaves without taking a drink order. Did she have somewhere she needs to be in the kitchen or was she in the weeds with several other waitstaff & one person?? Note to waitstaff trainers, if your customer has been sitting at a table for over five minutes, then the chances are they maybe ready to order at least a drink; Would help with the tip quotient if you would least ask the question before walking away 🤦🏻♂️ I asked for a Pacifico, they didn’t have that, so I asked what Cerveza option was like Pacifico. She gave me the name of a beer I had never had, told me it was just like Pacifico. The Cerveza on draft is not like Pacifico. No matter how many limes you put in that beer it is not going to blanch that aftertaste. Decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and ordered an appetizer before committing to an entire meal, and ordered a basket of tots. I really enjoyed them, although the shot glass of sauce they served with them wasn’t nearly enough to spread itself over the entire basket. And, waiting for them to come back to explain that to them was just shy of watching paint dry. By the time I had just started to eat the tots, I realized that anything else I wanted, I was going to have to stand up and ask for it by searching out my waitress. The first time I did this, she rolled her eyes at me, because apparently I had interrupted social hour, and heaven forbid I ask for a waitperson to do wait-person things as a paying customer. I am not going to belabor the point anymore, but anything that I wanted or wanted to see if I could get accomplished while we were there was met by double digit minutes of waiting. Funny thing is, when I did ask once or twice from another waitress, or waiter to help out, they were more than willing to do so, and very politely, so I think this restaurant can turn this part around. Like I said, the exact same situation happened to me the first time I was here. The location is phenomenal, and I want to like it so much. The food is good enough so that I would usually give it a third try, but that will be the last one... the operational 3% charge on the bill means I won’t be going back & deducted a clover! 🍀🍀
Didn’t get the chance to eat here. I was totally turned off by the very giant man sitting in front eating. I guess he is the welcome committee but what a turn off. I was waiting for people and followed me around the corner. Totally creeped me out. I don’t know maybe he is supposed to be monitoring the parking lot? He didn’t look like a professional employee. It was to weird so we left.
We got there early Saturday morning and were one of the first people in the restaurant. It was nearly impossible to get ahold of our server. My friend ordered his burrito but I was not hungry, so I did not order anything. Our server proceeded to have a male server come over to our table and yell at me for “soliciting their services by requesting a glass of tap water but not ordering any food when my friend ordered.” I was going to order food a little bit later but we were so uncomfortable we left and will not be coming back. This is the first time (and likely last) I can say we tipped 0%.
$8 for one substandard taco. How can that be. Just one little taco sitting there with nothing else for eight dollars. I could get a better taco at Taco Bell. It had some vegan meat some lettuce some of the whole vegan cheese and I think a little bit of tomato. It was so thin and pathetic I just thought that they don’t care about the food they serve unless it’s french fries. It was very disappointing and had a very little taste. The only thing I can do about is just not go there anymore. It doesn’t help this era of restaurants and returning from Covid is showing what restaurants are good and what restaurants are bad. What restaurants don’t mind screwing you for very little food and bad food to boot. Do you think about it their drinks are OK and the environment is OK but the food is bad
Waste of time and money. Waited for 20 minutes before someone came to order. Ordered and waited another 30 minutes before getting chips and salsa. Food came out 30 minutes after that. Wings tasted old , tacos were cold, beans gross, salad old. I don’t mind waiting for food when it comes out well but food and drinks were insanely expensive for re heated Costco food. View though is beautiful.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Staff was overtly rude to my friend and I for no reason and even accused my friend of “soliciting” (I think he meant to say loitering) because he wasn’t hungry enough to have anything besides water at 10am. It’s not like the bar was running out of seats, it was not even at half capacity when we went. Then there was the deceptive menu that has a hidden 6$ charge for any protein to the burrito… and the audacity of the waitress to give me a dirty look for tipping 0$ did it for me 😂 wouldn’t recommend any of my friends or family to go since I am never giving them my future business and it’s quite a shame because they do have a great location, just terrible, stingy service. Place is an absolute joke. I’m genuinely curious how this place has an overall 4.5 rating, surely those two workers I interested with didn’t contribute to that at all. Odds are you can close your eyes and point at any bar in Cardiff and have a much better time there than I did at tower 13. Save your time and money. UPDATE: I just checked my transaction history and these guys retroactively added a 5$ tip that I did not authorize whatsoever so I will be disputing this charge. Just a heads up for you all to always be diligent around slimy business practices.
Food is mediocre at best, pork in the Cuban sandwich was VERY DRY, and the fries were cold and soggy. Waitress got the taco order wrong and didn’t follow up until 15 min after the runner dropped off the food. Further, the prices are very high ($29 burger) and that before you add the 3.75% they add on to “cover operating costs”. If they can reprint a menu to include that charge (in the fine print) they could just as easily have printed the menu with the actual full prices.

I’m honestly very upset about this experience. The service was extremely slow, and after we finished eating, we waited over 30 minutes just to get the check while our server made eye contact with us multiple times and still never came over. We asked for a drink refill, and instead of refilling it, she took the glass and never brought it back. There was no communication or follow-up at all. When it was finally time to pay, she — a blonde/brownish-haired server with tattoos — gave us major attitude and acted entitled, like we owed her something, even though she wasn’t even the one bringing our food. She said, “Why wouldn’t you tip? I’m the only server here,” very aggressively, to the point that it made us uncomfortable. That is completely unprofessional. She then removed our plates aggressively, which felt embarrassing and unnecessary. Being busy or short-staffed does not justify treating customers this way. We will not be coming back.
