I am an absolute tourist and this place was so freaking good! The Huevos Rancheros was by far the best I’ve had, we were only visiting for a couple days and came here twice. My boyfriend ordered an omelette the first and a sandwich the next and neither disappointed. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone, super close to the beach, spin records, a cute french bakery and many other cute shops in carlsbad village.

Swami's is great! I ordered the GF acai pancakes, bacon and PB Coffee Smoothie. The pancakes were very good, some of the best I've had. The presentation was beautiful. The bacon was very thick and flavorful. The smoothie was lovely. The service was very fast. Everyone was super nice and polite.

Here on a short stay, ended up eating at Swami's twice. Can say with confidence that their food is overall delicious, and each of the servers/hosts/employees that I interacted with were super friendly and helpful. (Also, best and biggest acai bowl on Carlsbad, wish I had taken a picture of it!)

Just ate here for the first time. Got a lunch sandwich wrap to go: California Chicken Wrap w/ a side salad. I think that was the best grilled chicken wrap I’ve ever had! Wow! Delicious. Looking forward to going back. While I was waiting for my food to be ready, several servers walking by kept asking if I was doing alright or if I needed anything, very friendly! The vibe is great and relaxed, nice beach side place. (I saw the outdoor seating only.) The side salad ingredients taste fresh, and the grilled chicken wrap- wow! The chicken was delicious in and of itself, must’ve been marinated in something . And the other ingredients in the wrap blended so well and testily together. It’s a “warm” wrap, and there was lettuce, tomato, pepper jack cheese, and avocado inside. Forgot the other couple things in there. Often I find grilled chicken wraps to be dry, and this wasn’t dry at all! The tortilla/wrap holds it together pretty well too, wasn’t too messy to eat. Definitely going back to try more food there!

It was our first time here and we loved it! The staff was friendly and the food came out quick. The pancakes are huge! The wife keep saying it's the best breakfast sandwich she has had. We will definitely be going back whenever we are in the area and will be recommending it to family and friends. It looks like there are multiple locations so will be on the look out if any open up closer to L.A.

I’ve been here so many times i can’t believe I am just writing a review. Love this specific location because the staff is so nice and puts a smile on your face. I have tried a few different menu items and I am always pleased. I think my favorite by far is the Steak Benedict! I also love that they have freshly made juices. I highly recommend Swami’s in Carlsbad!

I always try to stop here whenever I'm in Carlsbad! The atmosphere is always laid back and you can't beat the ocean breeze while you enjoy a delicious and fresh meal. Service is always quick and friendly. I highly recommend the Busy Bee juice!

Our first time here while visiting for the Flower Fields and head for a good breakfast place and so glad we did. They have the best eggs Benedict. I ordered the Lobster Benedict which is quite rare they serve with good portion of lobster 🦞. They even have real freshly squeezed orange juice and not to forget our server Luis made us so welcome since it’s our first time there from out of town and will sure be back there once in the area of Carlsbad.

Swami’s Cafe has excellent food, fun beach cafe ambiance and many vegetarian options. But the meal we had here was more than just a meal as something that happened while we were eating made this one of my most memorable restaurant experiences ever. It was a busy day when we visited and our server was friendly and kind to us and we enjoyed his rapport. While we were eating we noticed him help an elderly gentleman in a wheelchair seated alone nearby by cutting up his food and checking on him and I’ve never seen anything so compassionate. We need more people like this in the world. I can’t recommend this place enough. (My acai bowl was also beautiful and tasty too!)

I loved my veggie scramble but when I tasted my husband’s huevos rancheros I was in love!! The huevos meal was outstanding.

My husband had the Smoked Salmon Scramble and a Bloody Maria, and I had the Stuffed French Toast and Bloody Mary. Outstanding! Absolutely delicious and the service and atmosphere was top notch. They have an extensive menu which made it really hard to choose as there were so many things I wanted to try. My husband and I are here visiting our son in the Marines (Camp Pendleton) and decided to stay in nearby Carlsbad. Swami's was a 4 minute walk from our Airbnb and we chose it based on location and other Google reviews. Definitely did not disappoint, we will come again, and we highly recommend.

If you expect anything about Swamis at any of their locations you can expect consistently great food in epic portions, the family that owns Swamis are born and bred San Diegans who completely get the beach vibe lifestyle and it shows on their cusine. Don't sleep on any of their menu items because they're all bangers and there's something for everyone even Vegans, not too hungry they have a fresh juice bar, totally starving they got a hearty plate of chorizo Hash, want to eat something sweet but not fall off your diet they got a pitaya bowl. Which brings me to their crown Jewel the Acai bowl it's enough for 2 and loaded with all sorts of delicious good for you fuel to keep you doing cartwheels in the sand all day long. Literally the best Acai bowl I the US and I'll fight anyone who disagrees. Service is fast prices aren't totally skyrocketed and you'll probably have leftovers for another meal. Tell em Johnny boy sent ya.

This is an amazing place, the service was the best part of the experience. Here I think everyone is a bilingual so that is a plus. The chilaquiles with chicken was really amazing dish. Location and service here was excellent. We sat outside, which is right on the road, but not too loud. Server was fabulous. I had a breakfast burrito and which was huge. I had to save half for later. Good quality. Lots of breakfast potatoes on the side. The group had pancakes and loved them also.

We made the best choice for breakfast, while on our Carlsbad, California vacation - (family friendly)! The space, service, and food were top notch. The chilaquiles were the best I’ve ever had (with green sauce!), and my husband loved the chorizo breakfast burrito.. Check out the adorable kids Mickey Mouse pancake. Our 11 year old said his banana chocolate chip pancakes were the best he has ever had (which says a lot!). The food presentation was quite impressive for a little cafe as well. Our server, Luis, was friendly and great. Very fast service. Outdoor seating available. Don’t think twice - make this a must stop! We will be back! Thanks, Swami’s Cafe Carlsbad.

I’m sincerely sad to be going home from Carlsbad because I can’t eat at Swami’s every day anymore! We tried it on our first day in town and ended up going back for breakfast every morning. We tried several things and everything was amazing. The eggs Benedict is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Delicious food, beautiful plating, fantastic service, and very reasonably priced. Luis is so friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu. They have gluten free options, too, which was why we tried it in the first place. I can’t wait to return to Carlsbad so I can eat there again!!

Lunch was a great here from start to finish, I got the Buffalo burger with any egg ur choice on style, egg whites for the win, the burger was juicy and amazing first time trying ground Buffalo too. The service was fast and very friendly even though we went during lunch hr there was no wait time at all plenty of open sitting outside and in. Everything tasted fresh. Will be returning. If you have never been here this location is located right of Carlsbad Blvd before the alkaline water fill station. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty ok but the server didn’t quite get the details of some of our orders correctly. For example, I got over easy eggs instead of the scrambled I asked for (but I was hungry and ate it anyway) and my brother’s order took 7 minutes longer than everyone else’s. If the food on the menu was cheaper I’d go back but overall it was ok.

A casual place with outdoor patio seating and a very extensive menu. Sandwiches, salads, wraps and breakfast items with lots of vegetarian and vegan options. The Fish Tacos and Mahi Mahi wrap were delicious. However, the chips and salsa were stale and boring and a dill pickle does not go with Mahi Mahi with a honey teriyaki glaze. The staff was friendly and accommodating and working hard to keep everything clean and sanitized.

Great service and specials and lots of healthy options, if that's what you're looking for. I personally ordered a side of thick sliced bacon to go with my Smoked Salmon Scramble with Cottage Cheese and Sourdough toast.

I asked for a pancake instead of toast, the server said this restaurant does not do substitutes and it would cost 6 dollars for one pancake. They have inside and outside seating. Hard to hear people, dog friendly, great main dish, but they didn't listen on over medium on eggs. Not that easy to navigate if you have mobility issues.

He had incredible customer service and brought so much energy and positivity. He was just full of life and made the whole experience even better. I was only visiting California and had come the day before, but the food was so good I had to come back again. Everything tasted A1, truly top-tier and full of flavor. The customer service was outstanding. I honestly can’t say enough about how great it was. We had everything we needed, and every question we had was answered. At one point, there were three different staff members helping us to make sure we were taken care of. Overall, an amazing experience from both the food and the service.

We stopped into Swami’s in Carlsbad for brunch and had such a great experience! For food, we ordered the Chicken Teriyaki so good, tender, and flavorful. I also got the Buffalo Burger, but swapped the bacon for an extra egg, which was a perfect choice. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. On the drinks side, I tried the iced matcha latte with 2% milk light, refreshing, and just right. I also had a double dirty chai (hot), which was absolutely amazing, my boyfriend even said it tasted like it was made just for me. The bitter but had a slight sweetness to it, exactly how I like it. We sat outdoors since the weather here is so much nicer than back home in AZ and humid TX absolutely perfect for enjoying brunch. Service was quick and friendly, and our server even shared that the restaurant is named after a nearby meditation center, which was such a cool tidbit. The location is great too on a quiet street, just a short walk from the beach and the village center. Relaxed vibe, great food, and friendly service. Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to!

Had the blueberry pancakes. They were good not great and were a bit on the dry side. Had to use extra syrup to make them wet. Service was decent.

Not sure it lives up to the hype. We walked in and had no idea if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait somewhere. It wasn't busy. We had to find an employee and ask. Food was quick, but not nearly has good as people say. We split two entrees. The Reuben sandwich was too fatty to bite, almost no sauerkraut or sauce ... Which majorly decreases the flavors. I was quite disappointed as it's a favorite of mine, but definitely not from here. The southwest chili chicken sandwich was a little better in flavor, but not spicy. Sadly, for the price and taste, we wouldn't recommend or return. We aren't sure why it's "so popular."

OK I will say the Stuffed French Toast my wife ordered is worth a return trip. Sadly nothing else is. Chorizo and egg scramble was lacking in flavor, the salsa that came with it had no kick. My Bloody Mary was decent. Orders are all taken through portable tablet like devices, which means any customization will fail. My sourdough toast had no crunch.

Did online order. Completely missed my coffee order. Acted like they never got it. No syrup with our order, and didn’t give me the coconut I ordered for my French toast. Also no utensils. Completely missed it for our Mother’s Day to go order. Lots of gluten free options but missed it on service. Just realized also that my avocado toast with herbs has no herbs, no microgreens- so disappointed in this place!

We have been eating here for a long time. Unfortunately the food is not at the same quantity and the service we experienced was horrible! Our server actually forgot that we were eating in the restaurant!

My kids grilled cheese bread was very burnt. My ahi tuna sandwich was not good. I couldn't finish it. Though we ate at 2pm and they close at 3pm they were already shutting down. Disappointed.

Poor Quality food. Ordered the waffle and chilaquiles and the waffles were soft and mushy ,not crispy, and covered in a nauseous sweet sauce . Chilaquiles are equally bad the chips were very greasy . The service was attentive when I asked about the waffles not being crispy the server suggested I needed to ask for them to be crispy. I've never heard of waffles that were not light and crispy . These were served heavy and mushy . I will definitely not be back and definitely don't recommend this place.

Probably the worst breakfast spot in town. So many better choices up and down 101, Swami’s is a waste of money. Spend your dollars elsewhere!

I called and ordered takeout, paid for it, and they gave me the wrong order. Orders were completely different — I couldnt even eat the meal they have given to me if i wanted to. Called back and they told me to come back and pick up the meal that had already been sitting there for 20 minutes at this point. Not even a fresh plate for their mistake. By the time I would’ve eaten the meal, it would’ve been cold and soggy. No compensation was offered for having to fight my way back through weekend village traffic and find parking again, so i requested a refund and don’t plan on trying this place again.

I'm sorry to leave a one star review but I hate this location the music in the café is extremely loud and even in the kitchen you can hear it just from the bathroom and noise from people sitting in the dining room, it gave me such a headache, the waitress we had never took our menus from our table after we ordered or checked on us once during eating lunch, I noticed her standing by the door looking at her cellphone, I'm not a fan of the open concept kitchen either, parking here is a bit difficult and you either have to walk up stairs to access the dining room or take the wheelchair lift. The food is mediocre at best my mom got a Ruben sandwich with super tough corned beef on it and a side salad that didn't look so fresh, I got a buffalo burger and fries, it was ok, but after eating it I had a bloody nose and felt terrible afterwards, we also ordered an iced mocha and Mexican mocha, my mom enjoyed her drink, mine was really strong and bitter so I added in some stevia from the table, we spent 60 dollars here definitely not worth going out of the way for, my mom had issues trying to pay for our meal and figure out the tip and sales tax, the system they use here is weird. The window screens need replacement and the dining room just looks like it needs a renovation, it's very small and loud, the view just looks across the street. I wish they had more gluten free and organic items to choose from, sadly I wasn't able to take a Picture of the menu there's so many options on it and the portions you get here are big, I'm not a fan of the huge pieces of produce they put in the salads here it makes it hard to eat. I'm not returning to this location again.
