Always the best coffee, teas and food! And the staff just as awesome! I can say every time I go to Carlsbad I make a stop--HOMEMADE CAKES, TREATS, and Vegan options! For the price, this quality is rare! Cannot recommend enough!

Vinaka's has a pleasant and thriving community vibe, good coffee, friendly service and nice, made-to-order sandwiches and sweet treats as well.

I've been coming to Vinaka for a couple years now for "cafe days" where I do homework, read, do art, or chat with friends. I've seen them go through a lovely remodeling process that brings so much life to the already adorable cafe. They more recently got various sized mugs for in-house use which is a refreshing break from the constant plastic to-go cups you find elsewhere. Always friendly and lively folks behind the bar helping out too. What prompted me to finally post a review were the two lovely baristas who were so kind and made the most delicious sandwiches and drinks my partner and I have ever enjoyed here. It just reinforced all the reasons I love coming here! ** Seating can sometimes be difficult to find for 2+ people as Vinaka is justifiably popular! Lots of outlets/extension cords and outdoor seating though.

Should I review my favorite places? I hope it never get real crowded but also never see it less than 80% capacity

One of my favorite cafes to hang out in. I've been coming here since high school and it's been a great place to study and unwind. I live further away from it now, so it's a bit more difficult for me to regularly visit, but I still try to drop by when I have the chance.

I kick myself in the butt every time I go to a different coffee shop. This place has great prices, a fantastic atmosphere and staff. I used to walk from work to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich on my lunch break and by the time I got there it was always ready to go. Best lattes in Carlsbad!

It's a tasty spot! A friend and I stopped for a sandwich, which came out fresh-made with quality ingredients. The staff was great! Restrooms needed a code, which we were provided with promptly.

The cheese danish pastry is a breakfast to go to. The signature latte iced or blended is also a win for me. if you are just looking for a good pastry the homemade cookies are the best in town. I love supporting this small business.

Came here for the first time to work with a friend. I loved that they had a bunch of plugs all over the lobby! My ancient laptop needs a plug every 3 hours so that's a real plus. The vibe is easy going and not too loud as far as coffee shops go. My drink is a vanilla latte with soy milk. It's super yummy! I will definitely come back here and work from home when I need a change of scenery.

Not a place for sweet tooth person who is on diet! I have no idea why I just found out this gem despite living in the area for quite some time. The overall atmosphere is so warm and cozy. People are longing with their laptops and I wish I had one when I did walk in so I could just sit and relax. I did togo though. The lemon cake is a bomb! Not super sweet and the lemon cream is just perfect. I am not an expert in coffee but to me the iced caramel latte was great. If I live a bit closer I’d come here instead of Starbucks of course. The lady at the counter was all nice and smiley that I have to give 5 stars cause she smiled (many just say hi and look at you like they’re done for the day). I saw varieties of cake so next time will def get something new. Be careful walking in cause no way you’re walking out without having a piece of cake.

My husband got a latte, which was smooth and flavorful. We also shared a blueberry muffin that was fresh, moist, and just the right amount of sweetness. The cozy atmosphere and friendly service made it a great experience overall. Whether you’re in need of a caffeine boost or a quick snack, Vinaka Cafe is an excellent choice. We’ll definitely be back!

And the atmosphere in this cafe is just outstanding there are some chess players there who are so kind and are friendly, someone even brought a CAT! The cat was so cute and behaved and never made any disruption and bad intentions. Overall if you’re in the area go to THIS cafe because you will most definitely enjoy it here.

It was good. The almond milk mocha was very smooth and delicious. The baristas were very kind and friendly. I gave one less star for waiting almost 15 minutes for my drink. I'll definitely try again since I'll be in the area often. Perhaps there was a line but I didn't notice, which was possible since customers do sit down while waiting for their order.

Located at the upper level of a pleasant shopping plaza. It has plenty of seating options inside and outside. The service was slow due to high traffic but the coffee was excellent.

Cute place with plenty of seating. A few of the patrons were just working on their computers while we were sipping on our coffee. The outdoor area looks over the fountain area in the courtyard. Prices are on par with what you'd pay in the area.

This is a great little Cafe to sit down, relax, and have a sip of good coffee. Recommend people coming here over the Corporate Beast around the corner. The espresso does not have a burnt taste like them, as the beans aren't over roasted and processed. Smooth sipping and full body flavor. Their breakfast sandwich is SO good. I customize mine and put it on an everything Bagel, and add tons of fresh, crisp veggies, which pair well with the fluffy egg, and crispy, smoky, and savory bacon!

I went there to buy a whole cake, one of their best, a Boston cream pie cake. So good and the price hasn't rose enormously like just about everything else on the planet.

I believe it is made from a powder. Don’t go here on a rainy day, never enough seating. On a normal day it is fine due to the out door patio seating.

Vinaka offers both indoor and outdoor seating, so that you may enjoy the pleasant weather. Finally, the cafe offers a small place for toddlers to play, which is rarely seen in coffee shops. I look forward to another cup of coffee at Vinaka Cafe.

Very friendly environment and cozy feel but the espresso-based drinks were subpar.

I ordered a chai tea latte. Was expecting something more “homemade” tasting. Not terrible by any means. Just wasn’t blown away. The cashier, Jonathan, was hilarious though 😂

I hope they see this and decide to dust - the overhead dust is caked on and free floating… staff is cranky (I think they hire one nice to every 2 cranky kids?)

Location, location, location. That's the reason for this place's success. Four of us got coffee here for the first time and all of us thought it was of poor quality. I had a cappuccino that I ended up throwing half of it away. It was very bitter and sugar couldn't make up for it.

I think the atmosphere is pleasant, but I don't like how close together all the tables are. I tried the hot cafe mexicana, and I didn't taste anything but the oatmilk. I think they forgot to add the coffee to my coffee. 🤨 The cake was fine.

I've been here a few times but it has been a few times now that the baristas seem upset or annoyed when I or other customers order. It's been the women so far but since it's a different person each time, at this point I expect every single one to get irritated. I'm tired, I just come to get my coffee and get some work done. I don't really have the patience to be treated like I'm a nuisance just for ordering a coffee. Should I just not order and take up a space anyway? It would be a great place otherwise. Edit: went in again and yet another, different employee was mean mugging customers.
