I had a good lunch here. The quesadilla is outstanding. The front patio seating is pleasant, even though it is close to the highway. It's a nice spot to sit and get a feel for the village. I recommend this restaurant.

The GOAT - anytime I am visiting in the valley I always stop to get a bomb burrito or other food. It's not the highest quality food, but it has that made-in-your-momma's kitchen taste that is so hard for a restaurant to replicate. Love it!!

Awesome food at great prices. I have eaten here a few times now and I have to say the breakfast burritos and quesadillas are great. They also have a full menu which includes omelets and burgers. I can't wait to go back and enjoy more of their food soon

The kitchen may be little, but the flavors and quality are great. The people are nice and they care / appreciate your business. We tried a few places but I wish I would have had breakfast here every day

Great Mexican restaurant. Burritos, tacos, quesadillas, it's all incredibly good and affordable. Silvia and Roberto have a great Mexican restaurant that is very authentic. If you eat there 3 times a week you still won't get tired of it!!

Drove out to Kathy’s Little Kitchen after spending the morning and early afternoon hiking Point Lobos. We were very hungry. I had a carnitas taco and a chicken taco. Spouse had a chicken taco and a chili verde taco. They were excellent. We both loved the refried beans. Place is small. We sat outside and enjoyed our late lunch. Worth the drive from Carmel for fresh well prepared Mexican food.

Ordered the carnitas,lengua and fish taco. Good portion and fresh ingredients! Carnitas and fish tacos are really good, well seasoned meat. Would return for more!

We visited Carmel Valley in April 2025. One evening, we had dinner in Kathy's Little Kitchen. We used the outside seating even though it was a little chilly. We ordered several dishes. The prices were amazingly cheap, especially considering the area. The food was tasty and plentiful. We were quite happy with our experience. We will definitely go back there if we get another chance.

I used to be a regular patron on weekends until I moved out of Monterey County. I decided to pay a visit after some years and let me tell you, their food tastes as good as I can remember. The chiles rellenos are one of their specialties and they never disappoint! Their tacos de chorizo are generous in portion and their aguas frescas are very refreshing. I used to order their menudo almost every weekend back and it was good. I am sure it continues to be as good. Hopefully, I can return more often. I highly recommend checking out this little Mexican eatery.

As a breakfast burrito self described snob, the bacon avocado breakfast burrito is the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. I would eat this for breakfast every day of the rest of my life. Pico de gallo was fresh, bacon I got extra crispy and the avocado was perfect. “Chefs Kiss” is what I think the cool kids are saying these days

This is a little hole in the wall and the people loves this place. I finally know why! The food is good, fresh made and delicious and the prices are reasonable. What’s even more impressive is that they take Apple Pay!!! Seating is limited but if you want a quick bite to go this is the place. Menu options are wonderful.

Very good food, reasonable prices for Carmel Valley. Friendly and quick service. Very tiny place with limited indoor and some outdoor seating. chicken enchilada was a little soggy and Chile relleno was good, a little greasy this time, had it before Rice and beans were very good, not greasy. The shrimp quesadilla is very good and very generous size. Taco salad was very tasty but very small. Have never seen one as an entree that small. Would recommend for Mexican food in the area. It would be nice to include chips and salsa for dining in service.

We stopped here for a quick breakfast before we left Carmel Valley. It's a small place bit everything we ordered was cooked fresh and was delicious. Prices are extremely fair as well. Great spot for a quick breakfast or lunch.

Very affordable with vegetarian options available. Cheese quesadilla tasted fresh and appetizing Veg enchilada's were filling but I wish they had more vegetables. The agua fresca was just sugar water with slight flavoring Overall decent food.

Service was great. Food, mediocre. Got the shrimp Diablo plate and the shrimp were small little baby’s, sauce was okay. Got adobada tacos on the side and there were not flavorful at all. This is okay for people who don’t know authentic Mexican food, but overall, would not do well in the Central Valley.

At about 9:30am the coffee in what seemed to be an old and dirty pot sitting on its warmer was the worst I've had in years, served in an actual "Dixie" brand cup. Waitress/owner(?) Kindly took it away and did not charge me. No WW toast, passed on white or sourdough. I'll be looking for a better place down there. This joint is marginal at best.

The first time I visited Kathy's, I tried their chile relleno plate. The two chile rellenos it came with were very small and had little cheese in them, and the sauce it came with was unfortunately mild and bland, as was the rice (honestly maybe the most flavorless spanish rice i've had out many). For the amount of food you get, I would definitely say it's overpriced as well. I work in the area, and decided to try Kathy's for a second time in hopes that it had just been an off day the first time I went. I tried a standard carne asada (beef) burrito without any rice. The tortilla that the burrito was wrapped in was pretty hard and seemed maybe stale. There were plenty of beans throughout, and very large pieces of carne asada that were very fatty and chewy. Halfway though I almost choked on a long chewy piece of meat and had to use my fingers to pull it out of my throat. I actually took a picture but decided not to post so I don't disgust anyone. I have probably had hundreds of carne asada burritos, and this was for sure one of the worst. After both visits, I unfortunately don't plan to come back. If you are visiting from out of the area, I would recommend stopping by a number of spots on the peninsula or if you get the chance to definitely look up places in Salinas, some of the best mexican food you will find.
