If you’re even thinking about dining at Restaurant 917, stop thinking and just GO. This was hands-down one of the most memorable lunches I’ve had in a long time — everything from the service to the views to the drinks to the food was beyond top tier. Let me start with Ivan. Ivan was SO amazing from the moment we sat down — warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely elevated the entire experience. He made us feel taken care of without ever being overbearing. Hospitality done right. The views are next level. You’re literally overlooking the Porsche Experience Center, watching the “boys” zip around in their toys while you sip a perfectly crafted cocktail. It’s soothing, fascinating, and honestly a vibe. Speaking of cocktails… the 917 Old Fashioned is silky. Truly one of the most balanced Old Fashioneds I’ve had — smooth, aromatic, expertly made. A perfect pre-meal moment. The 917 Burger is iconic for a reason: juicy, flavorful, beautifully built, and the bacon? Unreal. The bone marrow appetizer was rich, buttery, and decadent without being heavy — exactly how bone marrow should be done. And then came the poached Asian pear with burnt rice ice cream, which should honestly have its own fan club. Light, elegant, and the kind of dessert you remember long after the plates are cleared. From start to finish, everything was flawless. Restaurant 917 is luxury dining with heart — exceptional food, incredible drinks, breathtaking views, and service that sets the standard. Easily a 5-star experience.

To celebrate our anniversary, we dined here and enjoyed the scenic view of the track from our window table. We both ordered burgers, which were tasty, but the bread was a bit crumbly. The service was top-notch, with friendly staff members who even surprised us with a slice of lemon cake to mark our anniversary. While the bread was a letdown, the overall experience was excellent.

The food was fantastic, the customer service was impeccable, and the view was breathtaking. Overall, it was an incredible experience that I highly recommend. I’ll definitely be back!

This was my second visit to the restaurant, conveniently situated on the second floor, offering the unique experience of dining in elegance while watching Porsche test drives. The staff at the restaurant are exceptionally courteous, kind, and refined. The cuisine served here pairs wonderfully with alcohol, featuring richly flavored dishes. They also offer non-alcoholic cocktails for drivers, ensuring everyone's needs are catered to. Given the exceptional setting and service, the prices are surprisingly reasonable.

I’ve been wanting to go here with my hubby for more than a year now, and finally got the chance to go. The food was good. We came as a walk in on a Saturday (June 28) @12pm, and were seated within 10 minutes at a table (we told the front desk we were willing to wait until a table became available since we didn’t want to sit at the bar). Unfortunately we didn’t get window seats, but those definitely seem to be the best seats; if you plan on going in advance(with reservation), I recommend asking them for window seating… but even if you don’t get window seating, there’s a balcony you can go to after you’re done eating; it was really entertaining seeing the Porsches drive around the track, and some drivers even being confident enough to drift or do donuts lol. Our server was amazing. My hubby and I both got the Wagyu burger, and got the truffle topping on our fries, and he got a sweet tea— the total before the tip came out to be $125. Good food, and good atmosphere, I’ll be coming back for Valentine’s Day.🫶🏼

Delicious dishes. Delightful service. Enjoyable ambiance. Exceeded expectations. Though we booked driving experiences months ahead of time, we were surprised to hear the restaurant was booked even farther back and, therefore, unable to make reservations on the same day as our driving. The awesome host—Jesus—suggested we arrive as early as possible and he would try his best to get us a seat. Fortunately, he was able to deliver, granting us a table right when the restaurant opened! His kindness, quality service, and attentive care not only made our dining experience more memorable but also positively added to our overall experience at PEC!

Nothing better than having a great meal while looking at amazing machinery. Make no mistake, the burger I got was extremely well made. Fries were also very good as well. I wish I ordered more item but I had to drive a 90 min session right after so kept it light. If you are coming in for an event, come early to grab a bite or after when your session is done.

First off I would like to thank Joanna for making the reservations process easy and stress free. I would also like to thank our waitress Gina for the amazing drink recommendation as well as food and dessert. For appetizers we had the steak tartare. I ordered the 917 burger and a secret menu drink that was delicious and enjoyable. For dessert we had the coconut mousse, let me tell you that was such a tasty treat after a big lunch. Overall the views were amazing, the food delicious, the vibes immaculate. Perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Thanks to the amazing staff and crew who make this place wonderful!

What an experience! I originally purchased a gift card for the driving experience for my buddy that he has yet to use, but will be making him use it soon as an excuse to come dine here again. The space itself is really nice. Lots of parking and electric vehicle charging stations. There is a cafe downstairs with outdoor seating and the restaurant itself is upstairs with a view of the track. Our server Nestor was really friendly and accommodating. I was able to try the espresso martini, Paloma, pumpkin spice mule, and the off-season (gin, champagne). Really good cocktails! But the star of the meal was the Dunguness crab spaghetti. Wow. The crusted garlic Parmesan and the basil pesto went so well with the crab. My mouth is watering thinking about it.

The staff and food are phenomenal. They served one of the most delicious food i have ever tasted while touring america. And service was exceptional. They were polite and conversant. They have been so accomodating and made us feel at home even though we werent americans. And what can i say about the ambiance... oh my... the background was a race track with all of the eye candy cars called porsche. The experience was one in a million

We decided to go to the restaurant 917 for my and my fiancee uncle's birthday and it was absolutely amazing! This place is beautiful and the staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. Ruby, our waitress, was absolutely the best waitress I ever had. I love that you get amazing food as well for the price. I highly recommend this place.

We had stuff to do in El Segundo, so the wife made reservations for lunch. I recommend reservations for lunch, even on a Tuesday. Service was a little slow for me but my European wife felt it was just fine. Go figure. Pretzel bread came with Porsche shaped butter. Nice touch, and the only Porsche *I* can afford. We shared the charcuterie plate. Nice variety of meats and cheeses. Amount was about right, too. Next, we both had the 917 burger. It was very good. Comes with fries. I ordered medium well and it was just like I like it - pink in the middle but not too pink. I must be getting old because I had to take half home. I look forward to it later. The wife had the 901 cocktail. Whiskey based with other stuff. She liked it and she doesn't like many drinks. We got a window table overlooking the Porsche test track. Over on the left, you can see the statue that used to hold a golf club for the par 3 course that used to be here next to the 405. Bottom line: Expensive, but worth it, imo. Beautiful view, good food, free parking, free show of new Porsche owners on the track. A good time was had by all - except for that guy who spun out on the wet curve!

PRE-CVD Review - Amazing experience! Found out from a friend that this restaurant was here and open to the public. Perched right above the Porsche Driving Experience racetrack, the views of the cars on the track are unparalleled. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and sat right away (we had an open table reservation). Our server Tyler was very knowledgeable about the menu and even explained what the drivers were doing on the track in front of us. I advised him of a food allergy and he was great at reassuring me that he would ensure the cooks were aware and no cross-contamination would occur. The bread and butter came and the butter was shaped as mini Porsche 911's. Legit! We started with the charcuterie board. Nice presentation of meats and cheese. (see photo) I opted for the flat iron steak which was cooked perfectly to order. The meat was tender, vegetables were tasty and fresh. Presentation was on point. We relaxed with an adult beverage and watched the cars circling the track and skidpads. What a secret gem this restaurant is. Thank you Tyler and staff for making our experience a phenomenal one. We will be back soon.

Incredible facility & excellent service. I visited just to look around & spectate, then ended up having a delicious burger for lunch at the Restaurant 917. Our host Jesus even seated us at the window without a reservation. I'll definitely be back here, what a wonderful experience.

Restaurant 917 at PECLA is a total win! The food is amazing, the drinks are awesome, and the staff is super friendly. I love that there’s a track where you can watch different Porsches being driven… it adds such a fun, unique vibe to the experience. Highly recommended! Next time, I might even have the courage to take a spin on the track myself. 😅

I would give this place more stars if I could. The food was amazing! Every single item we tried was perfect. The dining room is on the second floor overlooking the track which adds to the appeal. Staff is very friendly and kind. Highly recommend.

For a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expected top-tier service — unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I had to reschedule due to a conflict with my Porsche experience, which they accommodated, so I assumed the restaurant would offer the same flexibility. I called multiple times, left several messages, and after finally speaking to someone, I was told there was a 3-month waitlist. That didn’t add up, as I had been able to book just a couple of weeks prior with no issue. After spending thousands of dollars, I wasn’t even able to dine — and it wasn’t for lack of effort or communication on my part. For such a high-end experience, the lack of responsiveness and customer care was really disappointing. This is something that definitely needs improvement. Food was great , was able to get seated.

An amazing experience to say the least! I had the burger and my only complaint is the bread. Not it. It falls apart pretty easy. Everything else was great! Coffee was great!

Good food and good views! To kill two birds with one stone, I had made a reservation here for after my girlfriend’s demo lap for her birthday. The restaurant isn’t hard to find, there’s a “917” sign in the hallway around the corner from the restrooms. You’ll see it down the hallway to the left of the cafe if you’re coming from the gift shop. We checked in with the host a few minutes prior to our reservation and got seated shortly after. There are big windows where you get a nice view of the track below. There’s also a small area where you can go outside and have a good view (and hear the cars). There aren’t many items on the menu so it made it easier for us to choose. I ordered the 917 Old Fashion, my girlfriend ordered the Pineapple Pisco Sour, and we both ordered the 917 Burger. While waiting, we received water (you get a few options for water) and pretzel bread. The verdict? - 917 Old Fashion: Fat-washed woodinville bourbon and angostura butters. I’m a whiskey guy and loved it. Basic and to the point, my kind of drink. Alcohol forward 8). - Pineapple Pisco Sour: Pisco, pineapple juice, lemon cordial, egg white, and tajin. I only took a small sip, it was sweet but good. My girlfriend enjoyed it (all of it). - 917 Burger: 8oz American wagyu beef, caramelized onions, raclette cheese, smoked bacon, garlic aioli, and fries. By default it is cooked medium rare, but when it came out more medium. It was a big, juicy burger and it was a little bit messy. The garlic aioli definitely helped enhance the flavor, it was good. The fries were good. - Pretzel Bread: I had to absolutely mention these. They were decent sized and I loved them. The included butter were molded little Porsches and the flakes of salt were good. Complimentary. We liked them so much that we went through 2 baskets of them. Service was good. The woman who sat us was extremely friendly, like too friendly. Our server was nice as well and checked up on us every so often. A good place for a date, especially if combo’d with a driving experience or demo lap. Reservations are a must!

Great food in a cozy restaurant. The menu has nice choices that can be grouped as a 4 course set for $80.00 or a 3 course set without dessert for $70.00. Everything was delicious and we all agreed, the meal was a good value.

The view alone is worth mentioning. You sit there watching Porsches being pushed on the track while you eat, which is a pretty crazy backdrop for a lunch date. They started us off with these little pretzel style French baguettes and Porsche shaped butter that honestly looked too cool to cut into. The bread had a great crunch and the butter was perfect. I played it safe and ordered the 917 burger. It is their eight ounce Wagyu burger and I am really glad I went with it. Cooked perfectly medium rare, super juicy, great garlic aioli, thick bacon, onions, gruyere, and a really solid bun. One of the better burgers I have had in a while. I upgraded to the truffle fries which tasted like regular fries. Good fries, but definitely not truffle forward at all, so that was disappointing. My wife ordered the pan seared salmon. It was cooked perfectly and tasted good, but nothing special or memorable for a forty five dollar entree. More of a solid dish rather than an impressive dish. Service was great and everyone was super friendly. The setting is honestly the star of the show. You are really paying for the experience and the atmosphere. Overall I would go back for the burger and the vibes, but I think some of the dishes could be better for the price. The burger hit. The fries missed. The salmon sat somewhere in the middle. Still would recommend to check out the cars!

Restaurant 917 located at Porsche in Carson. Great experience and didn't expect it to be so packed during lunch on a weekday. Overall, zero complaints on the entire experience. NOTE: They DO NOT have cash anywhere onsite they ONLY take card. FOOD 4/5 Spanish Octopus = SOFT AND DELISH Harissa aioli, roasted poblano relish, chorizo, chicharron SHORT RIB RAGU = A GOOD AMOUNT OF SHORT RIB IN IT spinach fettuccine, red pepper, white cheddar GEM SALAD = SOLID SALAD feta, cucumbers, watermelon, black garlic croutons, green goddess Need to try: 917 BURGER = SINCE EVERYONE ALL AROUND ME HAD THIS 8oz wagyu beef, garlic aioli, bacon, caramelized onion, gruyère DUCK FAT FRIES = SAME AS ABOVE truffle salt, garlic aioli, fines herbes AMBIENCE 4/5 Clean, huge viewing glass to see all the Porsche's on the track. PARKING 5/5 Easy free parking in the front of building. Once you walk in you can take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. Restaurant is on the second floor facing the track.

This is a really cool experience. I have reservations prior to coming, but I didn’t know that you needed to book or make reservations to drive the cars around the track so that’s one thing we didn’t get a chance to do, but we got a chance to look at all of the vintage Porsches that they had in the showroom. We went upstairs and was seated. We got lunch, which was OK. The burger was pretty good. Put you in the mind of In-N-Out we got a seat next to the window so we were able to enjoy our meal and watch the cars go around the track. They have a outside patio area connected to the restaurant where you can go outside and look over at the track and you can also go outside towards the track from the downstairs area. Overall, this was an amazing experience and I definitely would recommend

Came here for my Porsche fanatic father’s 70th birthday lunch! The view of the racetrack made for such a special show while we ate. We had so much fun pointing out our favorite car and favorite color. They brought me the wrong dish. I ordered salmon and received the pork chop. The pork chop was quickly taken back and I was told my salmon will be out soon. I watched 4 salmon dishes walk past my table to other tables while I was waiting. Eventually I had them cancel my meal all together because the rest of my party was nearly finished. I understand mistakes are made — that was not the issue. The issue was the way it was handled. No bill forgiveness or offer for something else while I waited for my salmon. This place has potential but for such a classy luxurious establishment, I left disappointed.

This is one of those experiences that surprisingly the food is the best part but the service and the experience and atmosphere really let it down. I think our waiter started working here two hours before our reservation as he knew absolutely nothing messed up everything and sadly made what could’ve been my husband‘s birthday amazing quite a lackluster average experience— On a brighter note, the food was very good. All in all for what it is it could be amazing but it just lacks professionalism and doesn’t flow with ease It was a very unrelaxed lunch, and as I said, I wish I had made another choice being Porsche owners we thought we would like to experience this, but I see it’s not really what I was expecting at all.

N
Nina Sotkin

The ambiance was cool, each table had a good view of the track. Service was pretty good. The food was another story. This restaurant is known for their seafood dishes. When they came out, the dishes were displayed beautifully, but unfortunately the flavors on them were nothing to write home about and were a little bland. Had the prawns, octopus, and fish. A lot of people ordered the hamburger, but is it worth an overpriced burger at a restaurant known for its finer dishes. Probably would not go to the restaurant again unless going to the Porsche course experience just not worth the trip.

B
Brianna

Had reservations on Sunday June 11th for the 75th Anniversary. The only real issue I had was with the hostess, not only did she look unprofessional but she also acted unprofessional making unnecessary comments. After asking if we can get a different table she said, “we don’t play musical chairs.” Can’t believe that was the first impression we got. The second thing I had an issue with is the tomato soup, it was way to acidic I couldn’t even finish it.

Chris M. McBrearty

We had high hopes for Cafe 917, and to be fair -- most of the experience was fantastic. The burrata with stone fruit and crostini was bright and flavorful, though pretty stingy on both the burrata itself and the crostini. The octopus was perfectly succulent -- absolutely spot on. I ordered the duck fat fries (incredible), and my son had the tuna entrée, which was nothing short of delectable. We also enjoyed four beautifully made cocktails, all served by a lovely young lady who worked seamlessly with an excellent team. Everything was running perfectly -- we were relaxed, enjoying great food, watching our 16-year-old daughter experience the Young Drivers Porsche program -- until about 90 minutes in, when a manager with white-tipped, wannabe-Eminem hair stormed over to our table and asked if we were ordering more food. I replied, "Probably -- we're ordering as we go." His response? A loud, condescending announcement that there's a two-hour limit and "people are waiting for your table." There were at least seven open four-tops around us and no one waiting in the lobby. It completely killed the vibe. Between the driving experience and our meal, we spent over $1,500 here today. We could've easily spent another couple hundred on cocktails and appetizers, but that manager's attitude flipped the switch for us. It's unfortunate -- everything else about Cafe 917 was wonderful, but this one guy's unnecessary rudeness turned an exceptional experience into a disappointing one. When you're serving guests spending that kind of money, hospitality matters. Our reservation was for 10:30 and Mr. Frosty-tip-the-blow-it-man changed the vibe around noon.

Me and my husband were so excited to come here, after driving 20 hours from Canada but the overall experience was unsettling and a huge let down. We didn’t have high expectations for the food as we were here for the experience / atmosphere. The food was okay, nothing remarkable. We both ordered the 917 burger with duck fat fries and an added egg - the duck fries were good initially but after a few fries it was overwhelmingly heavy and greasy, same goes for the burger itself. The biggest disappointment was their service: it started out not bad- our waiter promptly took our order and even another server asked to refill our bread sticks. It was half way through that it took a negative turn- we asked politely if we could be moved to the window seat to see the track better as there was several openings. The waiter proceeded to tell us we had to go up front ourselves to ask the hostess if that was okay. (Which is absurd because it makes more sense for them to communicate to the hostess and not make the customer walk back upfront to do it? ) We proceeded to ask another server that has serviced us if we could move and she said she would check for us if there was any pre-arranged reservations if not she would move us , but she never came back to let us know. We watched two other tables that were seated after us ask to be moved and they were moved right away to the window seats. I understand if the window seats were pre-reserved but to let other customers take the seat while we asked first was upsetting and the restaurant was not busy either. Additionally after being served our food, our waiters never came back to check up on us—our water container was empty for the longest time and was only refilled when we asked for the bill and for it to be replenished. Not to mention when we asked for our food to be packed- they just dropped off a box and bag to our table, but we watched all the other tables have their food packed and bagged for them. It felt like we were the only table that was subjected to such poor service: almost to the point where we felt discriminated against. We will definitely not be returning here or even recommending it to our friends and family unless they’re also willing to be subjected to such poor servicing and experience.
