Christmas is just around the corner They reserved a small room for us to exchange Christmas greetings in a quiet and intimate atmosphere...the friendly and welcoming staff were much appreciated, and the variations to the dishes were made with our tastes in mind...(not a predictable approach) Excellent product quality...the service was excellent...the owner was a kind and friendly person...the price was reasonable...I highly recommend it for a taste of Roman tradition🤩

We decided to try this osteria recommended by friends. I had a truly excellent carbonara. The restaurant focuses on Roman cuisine, from puntarelle to oda alla vaccinara and cacio e pepe. There's a good selection of wines, although due to the risk of my license, I didn't even smell them... The desserts were good, but the tiramisu, which I ordered despite being warned it was a "custom" dish, didn't convince me. I'll try the others... yes, because I'll be back and try the other first and second courses. The prices aren't "everyday" but they're affordable. After all, the quality is there! There's no dedicated parking, but you can find it on the street. The place is noisy. You have to be patient. Make a reservation... I told you, the food is good and a lot of people love it.

A positive experience at this restaurant serving Roman specialties, with the spaghetti carbonara truly outstanding. Attentive and helpful service. The only downside was the excessive wait for the spaghetti (the 16-minute cooking time stated on the menu, plus a 24-minute wait). Other than that, I would definitely return. Reservations recommended.

Coming to eat at this restaurant is a mystical experience... Rome suddenly feels like home in Casteggio. Excellent service, very kind and helpful staff, superb dishes (I highly recommend the carbonara, although the cacio e pepe is equally delicious). Everything is perfect, especially for an intimate evening or with friends!

Carlo, the chef, never fails to delight his guests, both with the exquisite dishes he prepares and with his presence, which shows all the passion he puts into his work. A very pleasant experience, one I'll definitely try again. As I mentioned, I tried the egg with crispy bacon, and for the first course, I tried both the carbonara and the amatriciana: intense flavors that transported me straight to Rome. The only flaw, in my opinion, was the revisited espresso tiramisu, which had too much cream compared to the biscuit content.

Upon entry, we were greeted by the owner, a true Roman host, who recommended the right wine for our dinner. I started with an appetizer of cod croquettes with sweet and sour red onion cream and caper powder. They were delicious, perhaps a little lacking in the accompanying sauce, but that's a minor detail. The highlight is definitely the first courses, classic Roman dishes! The carbonara is definitely the best I've ever had, a flavorful delight you'll never want to stop eating! Then I also wanted to try the amatriciana, and you can't go wrong with that either... super sweet tomato sauce and crispy bacon! The two first courses also had the right amount of salt, which isn't always a given! For dessert, an espresso tiramisu with lots of cream, very good. A little corner of Rome in Casteggio!
