First time ever coming here, staff was very friendly and welcoming, tried the orange chicken bowl with white rice. Definitely recommend it to someone who hasn't had it before. The GM was there and she was very nice, offered some free samples and even a free boba straw. I will definitely be coming back in the near future. Don't listen to everything you read online, the food was great, and there was no issues at all when I visited.

I visited the pagoda in woodbury commons and i must say the atmosphere was very welcoming.. The staff all said hello to my family as we were coming into the location. The service was great as well as the food. I will be coming back 😊

Honest opinion: The food here just does not hit, it’s basic Chinese food but I get better quality and flavor from my local spot at home. It’s no better than the other 2 Chinese food spots in market hall. The actual PF Chang’s in Nanuet has more flavor but at a higher price. Myself and friend Ordered 3 meals with each of the bases and 6 random mains. We even got all the sauces they had to offer. The food was actually pretty wallet friendly but it lacked the flavor we expected. The jasmine rice was hard and clumpy for some parts- not sure if it just wasn’t washed properly or mixed once it was cooked. The friend rice and Lo mein just tasted salty. I also wouldn’t consider anything to be “spicy” as it was presented. I wouldn’t say it was bland but we weren’t impressed. We got barley Luke warm from the time they portioned it to the time we sat at the table a few minutes later. Since it is and express concept everything is cooked and brought over to warmers until it is served. The eggs rolls and sauce they recommended (tasted like basic Sriracha Mayo) had the most flavor but even those went from an air fryer to a heat lamp so not very warm at all. For the chicken mains we got they had a ton of fatty pieces so it’s thigh meat that isn’t well trimmed. The beef was super thin but also very dry on the meat itself. The peppers and onions weren’t terrible but we had some pieces bigger than the protein they gave. The staff were energetic and friendly but it was opening day so that’s to be expected. They also had a live DJ today, that sounds great except it was so loud walking by to get inside that we almost changed our minds. The location itself is very nice inside, so it’s presented well. The bathrooms were very cute though so that’s a plus! It’s definitely a new option for the Commons but it’s the 4th resturant serving Asian Food.

I would like to understand better why a request of receipt is not an option, including no email or text option. Is this true? Or, is it the server just don’t want to give the receipt?

I ordered a bulgogi beef and the server looked like she didn't want to be there and slapped my bowl together. No friendly customer service attitude at all. Then she proceeds to male a sriracha bowl and i told that sauce os not used for bulgogi and its a bbq but of course that made her upset to redo her mistake. Lack or training and bad customer service. The food once made properly was good but the service and vibe is enough for me to never come back.

This was the absolute most disgusting experience I’ve had in a long time. Not only was the woman who was working that night rude but she could’ve told me that they close at eight instead she just scooped old food into a bowl and I asked if it was fresh and she just pretty much rolled her eyes I should’ve left, but I was trying to give the place the chance. There’s no way this will stay open. I have tried to contact managers regarding my horrible experience and I have gotten nowhere. I would’ve liked to refund because it was not edible. Save your money 💰

I’ve been a regular at Pagoda for the last few months, but that all might change soon honestly. I’m really disappointed with the new general manager. The last manager always had good vibes, was professional, and made every visit enjoyable. Since the change, the customer service and overall vibe of the store have gone downhill. And honestly speaking, I feel bad for the employees. As someone who used to work in fast food & i know it can be tough finding a restaurant you’ll actually enjoy working at. No matter what time i came in the staff laughed & joked amongst themselves & with customers. It was enjoyable. However lately it’s been clearthat the dynamic behind the counter has changed, and not in a way that benefits the team or the customers. Being someone whos worked in fast food before & is a loyal customer, it’s upsetting to see a place I used to love decline like this.
