Praticamente, tutto perfetto! Damiano sa il fatto suo e sa come soddisfare le richieste dei suoi amici/clienti. Ottima location, ottimo staff, ottimi prodotti e ottima serata!!!! Mangiare carne alla brace e pasta fatta in casa in un ambiente fresco, giovanile e familiare, davvero, non ha prezzo!!! A due passi da Roma tutta la cucina a km 0 e ricercatezze gastronomiche della nostra bella Italia e non solo... Ottima Cantina con vino selezionato per apprezzare tutti i piatti presentati. Parto dall'ambiente, rustico ad al tempo stesso caldo e accogliente, personale simpaticissimo, cortese e affabile. Passando al cibo, tutto buono, dagli antipasti, ai primi fino ad arrivare alla carne buonissima e di cotta alla perfezione. Top
In fuga dal caldo di Roma, sotto consiglio di un amico siamo andati alla Vecchia Mola, nel centro della piazzetta di Cesano, davanti la chiesa. Abbiamo pranzato all'esterno sotto un albero con un venticello di compagnia. Ottimo tutto dagli antipasti col tartufo ai primi. Gentili nel dividere già in 2 piatti il primo dei bambini. Dopo l'abbondante antipasto e i primi non abbiamo assaggiato secondi ma qualche dolce. Tanto torneremo. Abbiamo bevuto 2 bottiglie di Cesanese.... E abbiamo speso 250 euro 5 adulti e 2 bambini. Ben spesi!!!! 😜
La vecchia mola è un punto di riferimento per noi, tanto che ci torniamo spesso e ogni volta ci lascia pienamente soddisfatti. L’ambiente è accogliente, con un’atmosfera calda e familiare che ti mette subito a tuo agio. Il cibo è sempre eccellente: piatti preparati con ingredienti freschi e materia prima di alta qualità. Consiglio assolutamente la tartare, ovviamente a chi piace la carne cruda. Io come secondo piatto pendo sempre le quaglie con il lardo di colonnata che adoro e non trovo in nessun altro ristorante. Il personale è cordiale, attento e sempre disponibile, anche il sabato sera, in cui c'è sempre il pienone. Il prezzo rispecchia la qualità. Per noi è diventata una tappa fissa, ideale per chi cerca un’osteria autentica e affidabile. Non vediamo l’ora di tornarci!
Ottima trattoria in cui gustare prodotti tipici, come il classico "cacio e pepe". Eravamo un gruppo di dieci persone provenienti da Bari ed abbiamo chiesto al gestore tutto quel che era tipico. Siamo stati accontentati e siamo rimasti soddisfatti delle porzioni e della qualità dei prodotti offerti. Forse il vino della casa non era il massimo. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
Se cercate un posto dove la qualità del cibo incontra una professionalità d'altri tempi, non potete sbagliare. Un indirizzo da segnare in agenda e consigliare a colpo sicuro. Tornerò sicuramente!
I've been there more than once, and everything is truly delicious, from the appetizers to the first and second courses. There's a huge selection both at the counter and on the menu, and I personally really appreciate the seasonal products that rotate on the menu. Excellent!

The host is a true host, one of those who look you in the eye, describe the dishes without a script, and advise you as if you were eating at the home of a friend who truly knows how to cook. A discreet but attentive presence, the right timing, genuine attention: no posturing, no menu marketing. The food is real food. Recognizable raw materials, honest portions, distinct flavors, and a cuisine that doesn't try to impress with special effects but convinces with substance. The variety is broad without becoming confusing: well-thought-out appetizers, first courses that exude tradition, precisely executed second courses, and side dishes that aren't mere extras. The result is a consistency of quality that is evident from start to finish. On Sunday lunchtime, the restaurant is often very crowded—and that's no coincidence. It's the typical packed house of a successful trattoria: families, large tables, those who return because they already know what they'll find. The background noise is the good kind, made up of chatter, dishes arriving, glasses clinking. If you want a table, it's best to reserve a table. In short: a place where you can truly eat well, without gimmicks or passing fads. A restaurant that thrives on word of mouth, repeat customers, and a simple but increasingly rare idea: doing your job well.
Fabulous dinner. Rustic, informal, and convivial. The grilled Italian meat was of the highest quality, nothing short of top-notch. Envy even the most celebrated foreign breeds, at a truly reasonable price. Four appetizers, three beers, four side dishes, a 1.5kg Florentine steak, liqueurs, and coffee, €135. To be fair, the appetizers were a bit cold.

Excellent arrosticini, excellent mixed fried vegetables... exceptional tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, incredibly tender fillet and entrecote, and mouth-watering desserts! Our favorite dinner when we're in the area 🤗
We'll definitely be back! A little gem hidden among the streets of Cesano! Two words that perfectly sum up our pleasant stay at this homey, rustic place. The kindness and helpfulness of the staff made us feel welcomed right away. The menu is varied, with excellent meat choices. The first course with wild boar ragù is a masterpiece...and the potatoes...the baked potatoes are divine. The lamb is tender, juicy, and delicious. Come in (reservations are recommended during the summer) and let your taste buds be pampered.
Delicious, traditional, intimate, excellent service. I recommend trying the grilled meat! The restaurant has a family feel and is perfectly placed. I ate well, and the little square is peaceful. I highly recommend it!
We are an Italian/American couple living nearby (recently) and found this place by chance after an a.m. run. As new locals, we had to try. This place is NOT disappointing. The bruschetta is to die for. Cuts of meat were tasty and well cooked, desserts were as described. The staff was friendly and welcoming and the place is lovely! We especially love the local mascot (a dog) and even other guests were friendly and chatty with us. We will definitely become regulars and can't wait to try more food from the menu (which btw is quite extensive). They have a great wine menu as well!
Delicious food, best Pasta I had in my life, very friendly staff (and they even speak some English as a bonus :) ), fare prices, free parking in adjacent square. Only drawback - it would be nice to have a menu in English :)
A place to eat Roman dishes in a casual yet comfortable atmosphere. Located in a small Roman village, you can enjoy authentic and authentic flavors, thanks to the quality ingredients used. The first courses and meat are high-quality, and everything is reasonably priced. The young staff is always available. Definitely worth a try.

pranzo di famiglia...piatti gustosi e materie prime di ottima qualità, prezzi nella media. Abbiamo preso due antipasti, tre primi,due secondi , un contorno,due dolci e un caffè per un totale di 100€ ...buonissime le fettuccine "vecchia mola" e la cacio e peppe con tartufo di norcia,per secondo consiglio la grigliata mista spettacolare. Personale accogliente e preparato ci hanno dato ottimi consigli su cosa mangiare, locale situato nel borgo storico di Cesano. Consiglio di prenotare prima, rispettate tutte le norme anti-covid, l'unica problematica può essere il parcheggio soprattutto nelle belle giornate come oggi vista l'affluenza di tante persone, locale da consigliare sicuramente, torneremo presto.
A lovely place in the center of Cesano, with excellent and very attentive service. The appetizers were very complete and plentiful. The first courses were good, and the second courses were high-quality and well-cooked. The price is reasonable for what you get.
Excellent cuisine, an extensive menu with so many delicious dishes to try! Everything is prepared with care, respecting authentic flavors... we'll definitely be back. The fettuccine alla Vecchia Mola is special, and for dessert, there's also a Sardinian specialty... a perfect seadada that warmed my heart!

Ristorante noto e raccomandabile. Bella ambientazione nel borghetto e servizio cordiale. Menù molto ampio e vario per una trattoria che propone piatti romani con qualche variante di altre regioni. Trovato un po' troppo carico nei sapori dei piatti scelti (in particolare la trippa e gli involtini di cavallo). Il resto non testato prometteva bene. Antipasto con salumi e formaggi, buono ma non di primissima linea. Proverò a dare altra chance quando sarò in zona prima di avere una idea definitiva. Credo nelle recensioni costruttive.
Nice place, great service. The food, a little less so. I had to send back the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù; it tasted like vinegar. Anyway, it says "typical" Roman cuisine, but the dishes are revisited. Like carbonara with truffle. It wasn't bad, the sauce was a bit excessive, but it's still not a typical dish.
While it is still very pleasant to dine out in the pictoresque little square of Cesano the quality of the meat wasn't as good as I remembered it. Pasta was still amazing. Price is very reasonable and staff is very friendly and helpful.
