Service was amazing, someone is always checking in on you makes it nice and personable. The atmosphere seems cool, but it was a pretty loud. Food top notch as to be expected I had the elk tenderloins which were superb, the portion of that was just a smidge small but with the appetizer I got it was just about perfect
Dry aged ribeye was absolutely incredible. Service was extremely professional and we were well taken care of. The she crab soup was super good as well! Creamed corn isn't too sweet but my wife loved that along with the lobster and bacon mac n cheese. We sat upstairs and with 2 large parties on each side it became a bit too loud and overstimulating, but regardless it was a very great experience that I would definitely recommend!
In town from Maryland, and my boyfriend and I were told we had to stop here. The atmosphere was amazing! We were greeted at the door by 2 young ladies, the owners introduced themselves and checked in as well. The food was top notch, best steak we have ever had! Highly recommend to anyone!
Hands down one of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in, the owner came over to personally introduce himself and shake our hands — such a warm welcome! We were celebrating a birthday, and they brought out complimentary champagne shortly after we were seated, which was such a nice touch. Our server, Josh, was amazing — he walked us through the menu, answered all our questions, and even brought out a tray of steaks to show us the different cuts. Everything was perfect from start to finish. To top it all off, they surprised us with a complimentary dessert for the birthday. We’ll definitely be back to celebrate again!
By far the best dining experience I've ever had in Charleston. The staff provided the warmest of welcomes and the owner was buzzing around interacting with customers all evening. Our waitress Amanda went above and beyond the whole evening. Marty was an absolute pleasure, and the sommelier was incredible knowledgeable. Overall I am wildly impressed. This will be a required stop every time I visit this beautiful city. I suggest you try it!!
Shawna was our server and she was absolutely outstanding! My mom, aunt, cousin, and I were in town visiting and this place came highly recommended — now we know why. Shawna was incredibly knowledgeable, not just about the menu but also the history of the restaurant, which made the experience even better. We started with cups of French onion soup, and it was phenomenal. Two of us had the 8oz filet topped with Gorgonzola and a side of mushrooms and onions, while the other two ordered the scallops over risotto. The sides are served family-style, so we shared the loaded mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts — both amazing. For dessert, we split the crème brûlée and the cookie skillet, and everything was truly top tier. Halls Chophouse is an absolute must-stop when you’re in Charleston!
First, I suggest making reservations. Second, we did not have reservations but were blessed to get a high top almost immediately. We ate off the lunch menu and chose 8 ounce filet seared to perfection, simple green salad with dried cherries, goat cheese, pecans and blue cheese dressing, the creamed corn concoction was fresh & amazing, fresh baked bread & butter yum and dessert whiskey infused bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. I highly recommend if you like your steak seared perfectly rare to medium rare!! I cannot say enough about the restaurant and the friendly staff. Excellent
My boyfriend took me for my birthday two nights ago and it was the best restaurant experience I have ever had. Our waitress was so kind and gave the best recommendations. We had such a great time and they even gave us free desserts. Definitely coming back, I wish I could remember our waitresses name, but she was so great!
Hands down the best dinner experience I ever had. Even though the place was filled with people, we felt like we were treated like we were the only ones there. The selection and the food was excellent. Everything about the experience was perfect. We will definitely be back
EXCEPTIONAL!!! From the moment you walk in, every single staff member immediately and warmly greets you. The manager came over while we were waiting, shook our hands, and welcomed us. These touches truly set the tone for the experience you’re about to have. The ambiance is perfect, warm, beautiful, cozy. Our server, Husein was truly incredible. Genuine, kind, engaging, accommodating and knowledgeable. We felt like we were dining with an old friend. Both my husbands old fashioned and my mocktail were delicious. The tuna tartare was phenomenal. The servers wait at the table for you to cut into your steak to ensure it’s cooked as ordered (and ours was done perfectly). Our sides were delicious, and my scallop and risotto was perfectly done. This is what I expect at this level of dining where many miss the mark, but Halls sets the standard. This will be on our itinerary any time we visit Charleston.
As a fine dining manager and food enthusiast visiting from Houston, I can confidently say Halls Chophouse is a masterclass in hospitality and execution. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly by the staff — and even welcomed personally by one of the co-owners. That level of engagement and presence in the dining room is something truly rare and speaks volumes about the culture they’ve built here. The restaurant was buzzing — packed with guests, filled with live music, and full of energy. Despite the lively ambiance, service remained attentive, polished, and genuine. Our server took the time to present the steak tray and explain each cut in detail — a thoughtful touch that shows pride and professionalism. Attention to detail in allergies and the servers pouring his heart in the service what sold me. I went with the Bison steak, accompanied by a she crab soup and multiple sides, and it was outstanding. Perfectly prepared, full of flavor, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve enjoyed in recent memory. If you prefer a quieter dining experience, I’d suggest requesting a table away from the music — but otherwise, lean into the vibrant atmosphere. Halls Chophouse represents everything a classic American steakhouse should be: warm hospitality, quality ingredients, and flawless execution. I’ll absolutely return whenever I’m in Charleston — this place sets the benchmark.
Best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant! me and my bf celebrated our 5-year anniversary here, and it was our first time at Halls after hearing so many friends rave about it, and wow, they were right. The steak was insanely good, and every single thing we ordered was amazing. The service was top-tier – the staff came by several times to make sure we were happy and taken care of. We even got to meet Billy Hall, who was so kind and welcoming. We’ve been to a lot of restaurants for our anniversaries, but this one truly stands out. They make you feel special and celebrated from start to finish. Everything here is just that good.
My husband made a reservation here for our first wedding anniversary during our trip to Charleston! Right when we walked in we were personally greeted by the owner and all of the staff was so welcoming and friendly! Our server, Nicholas, was excellent and walked us through the menu and gave the great recommendation to get the Kansas City strip, which was phenomenal! They even gave us champagne and dessert to celebrate! The best dining experience we have ever had and will definitely make the trip from Atlanta to visit again! Thank you!!
Family run and you can tell they care. The personal attention is genuine and the service/food is incredible. Btw the absolute best amaretto sour my dad and I have EVER had. Either get there early or make reservations-they get slammed as night goes on.
We were a walk in on a Saturday night at 7. It was a chance we were willing to take. Celebrated our 25th. The were over the top accommodating and from beginning to end Josh from WV and Lola made it perfect. The food and dessert and the atmosphere was just unmatched.
Reservations necessary. We were there for dinner at 5:30 pm and it was already packed. Owner greeted us at the door, stopped at our table twice and said goodbye as we left. Impressive staff. Our waitress suggested half portions since we had nowhere to store leftovers. Even that amount was filling. I tried 2 local beers. My wife had 2 glasses of wine. We split the filet, baked potato, asparagus and salad.
Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday morning. Lunch menu had plenty of options including all the prime steaks on the dinner menu. Bartenders and hosts were very friendly and conversational. I returned the following Friday for she-crab soup and a wet-aged filet mignon. Absolutely delicious!
Soul, Steak & Song: The Legendary Halls Gospel Brunch 🎶🥩🍳 I’ve eaten at some of the best restaurants in the world, and as a Level 7 Google Local Guide (Top 1.5% globally), I can confidently say: Halls Chophouse is the top restaurant in the US. This was my second day in a row dining here, and today I came for the legendary Sunday Gospel Brunch. From the moment you step inside, the energy is unmatched—live gospel music filling the room, a warm crowd buzzing with joy, and Billy (partner/owner) himself standing at the door, greeting guests with genuine hospitality. That touch alone sets the tone. I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon & eggs—perfectly seared, tender, and rich—paired with their house specialty, a Bloody Beer (think a refreshing twist on a Bloody Mary, perfectly balanced). Even the bread service deserves a shoutout: warm, fresh, and dangerously addictive. The menu is a masterclass in Southern comfort meets prime steakhouse: • She-Crab Soup (a Charleston classic done right) • Crab Cake Eggs Benedict (Creole hollandaise magic) • Southern Sweet Potato Pancakes with maple butter & smoked bacon Every plate that passed my table looked like art, and every note of gospel added soul to the meal. Service: Impeccable. The staff at Halls are polished yet personable—professional enough to anticipate your needs, but friendly enough to make you feel at home. This is what dining should be: food, music, and community woven into one unforgettable experience. Whether you’re a foodie, a tourist, or a local, this is a must-do Charleston ritual. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Food: 5/5 Drinks: 5/5 Vibe: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Value: 5/5 #BillyEats #BillyDrinks #BarScout #FoodieLife #TopGoogleReviewer #GlobalBites #HallsChophouse #CharlestonEats
We were thrilled with every part of our dining experience. We were welcomed with smiles and taken to our table. The staff patiently talked with us about the menu and drink choices, ensuring we made the best decisions for our dinner. The food: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. The fried corn, the fried green tomatoes, the Antarctica sea bass, our amazing homard mac&cheese. Did we mention the first-class selection of beef steaks? We chose a robust Malbec and topped off the meal with a digestif of Chartreuse. We recommend without hesitation this dining experience! Thank you 🙏 Pascal and Andrew
First time visit to Charleston from Texas to celebrate our 65th birthdays. We chose Halls Chop House for our celebratory birthday dinner and was so pleased we did. We had an early evening reservation, greeted warmly upon arrival and escorted upstairs to a quiet room with a corner table. We were given time to enjoy our cocktails with the overhead music playing that complimented the beautiful dining area. Hussein, our server, was outstanding from start to end. From the many meat choices we chose the dry aged ribeye with lobster, Brussels sprouts and loaded mashed potatoes with She-Crab soup and Shrimp cocktail as starters. Appreciate they allowed us to share the entrees and separated our portions in the kitchen before serving our plates. The sides are generous, we definitely over ordered. The martini was the best I’ve ever been served and the old fashion was perfectly mixed. Thank you for making this milestone birthday dinner memorable with the complimentary bubbly, amazing dinner, dessert and again the impeccable service by Hussein and his table associates.
One of the best restaurant experiences we’ve ever had. As soon as we walk through the door, the owner personally introduces himself and shakes our hands. We came to celebrate our anniversary, and were served complimentary champagne after being seated. Rob, our server, was excellent in explaining menu options and even brought a platter of steaks out to show us all of the cuts. We ordered Caesar salads, she-crab soup, filet, prime rib, creamed corn, and mashed potatoes - everything was excellent! They even treated us to a complimentary dessert to celebrate our anniversary, we chose the banana pudding cheesecake, which was of course delicious. Will definitely be back to celebrate our next milestone!
We love going to Halls when we are visiting Charleston. It is a place to go for a special occasion. It is pricey but you get what you pay for. Their cocktails are high end and so is all of the food. It is the place to go for steak in Charleston and one of our favorites anywhere we have been. I love their dry aged steaks. This meal we started with a burrata and she crab soup. My wife got the grass fed filet and I got the dry aged New York strip. We finished with the bread pudding that our server recommended. We didn't think we had any room left but pretty much licked the bowl clean. It was all so good. Thanks for a great meal.
The service was top tier from the moment you walk inside. We ordered the signature cocktails, 434 and I dream of Jeanie, and both were great options. The lobster Mac n cheese was the best side. The collard greens had a different flavor than I’m used it, a little sweeter, but it was good. My husband loved the duck entree and the flavor of the entire dish. The Grouper was also good (slightly overcooked). The flavor of the steak was great. Slightly overcooked on the preferred cook on certain portions. Overall, a wonderful experience.
We did a Tuesday night early dinner with a party of 8. The atmosphere is beautiful, albeit dark. (Sorry for the dark pics) There is an old, vintage charm yet it is not outdated or in need of refurbishment. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess. Quickly after the owner, manager and waiter as well. Everyone was so warm and inviting. Amazing hospitality. When you experience true hospitality, you realize how rare it is to really be received that way. It was an absolute pleasure. I was worried about the size of the table we were placed at because of our large party but the staff worked seamlessly to create the best setting. Plates never sat taking up space, glasses never sat empty and they continually cleared debris and kept the evening moving. I commented on how attentive they were but not overbearing or creating a rushed feeling. We did cocktails…delicious. Then wine with the entrees. The wine list was extensive. We ordered calamari and stuffed mushrooms. Both delicious! The sea bass was incredibly good. The shrimp and grits insanely good. I could have just had a bowl of that and been in heaven. The risotto was spectacular too! I did not care for the spinach but that was a minuscule matter considering every other bite of food I had was so amazing. The ribeye was cooked perfectly. The grouper was delicious as well. Our waiter was so wonderful. He explained everything, did a great job of accurately completing the orders and was incredibly accommodating. There were a few special requests and he was more than willing to do whatever our hearts desired. We did chocolate cake, southern caramel cake and the cookie skillet. All were fabulous and went very well with the wine! I highly recommend a visit and cannot wait to return again! Thank you for a wonderful experience and delicious meal!
Our server Jonathan was wonderful and extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Everything was delicious and cooked to perfection. It was my birthday and they greeted me with a complimentary glass of Champaign and dessert.
Took our college aged Grandson per his request for a dinner after settling him in for school. We were greeted enthusiastically at the door. Our reservation was for 5pm (recommended) and we were seated immediately. Service was TOP NOTCH!! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and guided us through our options. We were served champagne gratis since it was also our 49th wedding anniversary. The meal was superb and the brussel sprout side dish was divine. Our Grandson and my steak was cooked to perfection. Cocktails were very good. Expresso Martini was best the wife has ever had she said. Each of us took home a doggy bag.
Halls Chophouse is hands down one of the best dining experiences in Charleston - by far!! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with hospitality and treated like family! The staff goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and cared for! That’s what sets Halls apart!! It’s an experience you’ll remember long after you leave. The steaks are perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor, and the sides are just as memorable (the skillet corn - oh so good). Highly recommend for a special occasion, a night out, or if you just want to treat yourself to the best Charleston has to offer! Our girls trips ALWAYS includes Halls!!
Came here for my birthday and it was hands down the best restaurant experience I have ever had! Their attention to detail was insane! Our waitress, Chelsea was absolutely wonderful and so knowledgeable. Love the atmosphere as well! Don’t even get me started on the tomahawk steak and stuffed mushrooms. All of the staff was so nice and accommodating. I want all of my birthday dinners to be at this amazing establishment!
We had an unforgettable meal at Halls Chophouse! The 12oz Wagu steak and the 8oz filet were both cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The mushroom risotto was creamy and perfectly balanced, and we couldn’t resist ending the night with the bread pudding, which was out of this world. Chris M., our waiter, delivered impeccable service with a friendly, attentive demeanor that truly elevated our experience. Emily, another member of the staff, gave us fantastic recommendations for things to do afterward, adding a thoughtful local touch. It was our first time in South Carolina, and Halls Chophouse was a must-do that did not disappoint. Highly recommend!
My wife and I truly enjoyed Saturday Brunch at this fine restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere incredible. The waitstaff took great care of us.
After getting feedback from friends and reading all the great reviews . . . our expectations were high. I have to say, they lived up to their reputation. When you eat at a high-end restaurant, everything needs to be great, right down to the proportions of the food. The restaurant was elegant. The staff was excellent. The food was outstanding. And yes the portion sizes of the apps, entrees and sides were large. You’ll have plenty of food to enjoy. If you are in the area, this would be a great choice. But make sure you set your reservation in advance. Come hungry and enjoy your evening!
Goodness…. Where to start! From the moment you walk in, you are welcomed like family. The hospitality, atmosphere, and service levels are off the charts. It’s apparently clear the Hall family understands the importance of quality service. Now let’s talk about the menu. There are no words to describe the food selection. It’s simply outstanding. You could close your eyes point to something at let the staff surprise you and trust me you would not leave disappointed! Thus far the best meal and service I’ve experienced in my life! Thank you to the staff at Halls for making our special day one we will never forget. Best Regards!
W O W! What a amazing dinner we enjoyed at Halls Chop House on King Street in historic downtown Charleston. We had heard from Charleston friends that Halls was legacy in Charleston. Well, Halls lived up and beyond it's over 40-year history of fine service and delicious cuisine. We made a Resy reservation for a Saturday night celebration dinner and we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. We were met at the front door by Billy Hall, who could not have been more gracious and welcoming - THANK YOU Sir. After a warm greeting we were seated in a quiet second floor rear small dining room in a great booth. We enjoyed watching the expert staff, bus boys/gals, to maitre d, Sommelier, to managers hover perfectly over the diner guest ensuring everything was to their expectation. Our server "Kai" (sp?) was FANTASTIC. We enjoyed a crisp bottle of white wine with the Sommelier's expert advice. With Kai's expertise, we order the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail (Prawns were 5-6") was fresh and excellent. Kai's steak presentation and information was quite helpful in our entree decisions. Our steaks were amazing and "perfectly" cooked. We ordered a Petite Cut Wet-Aged Filet Mignon as well as Kansas City Bone-In, 20 oz., Dry-Aged Strip - both Medium. Both steaks came with wonderful sauces Peppercorn Brandy and Halls Steak Sauce (our favorite). Our "Loaded Mashed Potatoes" side was huge and mouthwatering. After our entree's we enjoyed a wonderful three-flavors Sorbet which cleansed our palates and was a great digestif. We are 100% returning to Halls Chophouse on our next Charleston visit. Billy Hall and his staff (epitome of professionalism) sealed our decision. We are definitely making a Sunday "Gospel Brunch" Resy reservation next visit. We walked by Halls on Sunday afternoon and heard the amazing music of the Gospel Brunch - again wow how fun. Our dinner at Halls Chophouse was the finest meal we have enjoyed in many years. Well done Halls. See you soon. Cheers.
Could there be a more perfect restaurant experience? This place puts the best NYC restaurants to shame. The service is impeccable, the food is pure Southern sophistication mixed with decadence and the atmosphere is regal. Through and through a perfect 5 star venue.
If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Hands down the best food I’ve had in my life thus far. The wagyu was immaculate, the tomahawk was incredibly flavorful. The staff were intelligent and efficient. Every server that came by to speak to us were so friendly. The overall look of the restaurant was beautiful and cozy. I would come back monthly at least if I lived in Charleston.
Tonight, I decided to celebrate the night before New Year’s Eve by myself at Hall Chophouse and I definitely made the right choice. The service was absolutely amazing, and the food was incredible. I ordered the fried calamari, which was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, and a 16oz dry-aged ribeye. Everything was delicious, though the portions were very generous, so I couldn’t finish it all. Highly recommend🌟 truly outstanding food and experience.
My wife, son, daughter in law and my self came in during busy dinner hour on a Monday night and were greeted by several staff members including the manager. We were seated immediately. The staff and service was superb. We had different cuts of steaks with several sides. The food was fantastic. Everything was so favorable. We enjoyed our meal in a great atmosphere with live music. We all agreed to come back for another meal the next time we are in Charleston.
Halls was a wonderful experience! The hostess, wait staff, and the owner all were exceptionally hospitable, friendly, and professional… the NY Strip Steak was the best!! My wife had the filet mignon and was absolutely perfection!! We will be back soon!! Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
By far one of the best restaurants I have been to. The service from the second you walk in the door is incredible. Everyone is so friendly and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious. My filet was cooked perfectly and the pepperjack creamed corn was so good. Overall just a great experience and dinner date with my husband.
I chose Halls Chophouse to celebrate my birthday, and the service we received from Lauren and Jack truly took the evening to the next level. From the moment we sat down, they were the perfect team - professional, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without ever hovering. They acknowledged my birthday immediately and made the night feel like a true celebration, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. It’s rare to find service that manages to be this upscale while still feeling warm and genuine. If you are lucky enough to get Lauren and Jack as your servers/mixologists, you are in for a world-class evening. Thank you both for making my birthday so memorable!
From the moment we walked into Halls Chophouse, we knew it was going to be a special night but Cameron made it unforgettable. The service was absolutely top-tier. Cameron was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about every detail on the menu, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had the best experience possible. His recommendations were spot on from the perfectly cooked steak to the wine pairing that elevated the entire meal. What truly stood out was his professionalism combined with warmth. He made us feel welcomed, valued, and completely taken care of. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and you can tell he takes real pride in what he does. Halls Chophouse already sets the standard for fine dining, but Cameron’s exceptional service took it to another level. If you’re dining here, ask for him you won’t be disappointed! We can not wait to come back. We live in jacksonville fl but are willing to drive for the creamed corn and aged ribeye!
WOW! This place is truly a must visit! We flew in for a conference on Sunday and our group of 12 called ahead and they ensured we would get a table all together. We did not expect to be seated all together but we were thankful they were able to accommodate. Upon arrival we were greeted and taken care of with such pride and compassion. The staff truly goes above and beyond to ensure every aspect of each person’s meal is exactly to their liking. We started with oysters which were phenomenal, followed by fresh salads, steaks that were to die for and the shareable sides ensured everyone got a sample. Dessert seemed impossible, but we ended up sharing the cheesecake and bread pudding we were so happy we did! Thank you to Malcolm and the rest of Halls‘ staff for the incredible experience!
I had the most wonderful experience at Halls chophouse . Given since it was a party of 1 , my wait time wasn’t very long. I’m from out of town and came to celebrate my birthday so I decided to dine in for some steak . Honestly everyone is so pleasant and accommodating. The initial interaction with miss Ava , was so charming and young gentleman who I interacted with as well . The food was fabulous. The service was excellent. I honestly had a very great experience here . The drinks , coffee and food were immaculate and their hospitality was very welcoming.
We went for the Sunday Gospel Brunch and it was great. Food, atmosphere and wait staff were fantastic. Our server was Kyle and he couldn't have been any nicer or more accommodating. Highly recommend BUT you have to make reservations for the Gospel Brunch. Definitely worth a visit !
Celebrated a 79th bday w a party of 8. Our server Julie was fantastic! She made recommendations, was extremely gracious and catered to our elderly guests. We all enjoyed our perfectly steaks. The martini is a must and don’t even think about skipping dessert
We were advised this was the best brunch in town and it did not disappoint. We were greeted by inspiring and rich music…..staff were highly attentive, informative and accommodating……Scott was our waiter, and was the BEST! The manager, Maggie, stopped by and she was very welcoming. Highly recommend the gospel brunch! We will be back because besides the ambiance and service, our food was delicious! From quiche , French toast, spinach and lobster—-all fantastic!
We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Halls Chophouse in Charleston. The food was incredible from start to finish. I ordered the grass-fed filet mignon and it was cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful, and easily one of the best steaks I’ve had. The truffle butter took it to another level. The Pepper Jack Creamed Corn Skillet was honestly heaven in a bite, rich and full of flavor without being too heavy. And the cinnamon roll cheesecake completely made my night. It was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. The service was unbeatable — attentive without ever feeling like they were in your business. My best friend and I were celebrating our birthdays, and they surprised us with champagne and dessert to celebrate, which made the night feel even more special. We loved everything so much that we ordered takeout the next night before leaving town. Outstanding food, great atmosphere, and a place we will absolutely return to on our next trip to Charleston.
They ask you to slice your steak in front of them to ensure it was cooked to your liking. 3 separate people continued to check in on me throughout the night, so this style service is a bit overbearing for my introverted self. There’s always a line out the door. My steak was great. The truffle fries could have used more truffle, but I was very impressed with the chocolate torte.
We came for dinner on Monday night. We had a 5:00 reservation for 6 people. We were basically bombarded at the door with waitstaff and Billy needing a handshake from everyone. We were super excited as all of the reviews seemed wonderful, but we were less than enthused. Although the service was great, with waters never empty and a knowledgeable server, the food was not great. At price points well above anything in the area and everything being talked up, we expected better. The best thing was the piece of bacon on the wedge salad. We ordered A5 wagyu which had a wonderful crust and definitely lived up to the hype. The she crab soup was okay, then we got the steaks. Though cooked well, they were flavorless. There wasn’t much of a crust and they weren’t juicy at all. We ordered three family sized sides and were not impressed with those either. The loaded mashed potatoes were good, the creamed corn was also alright, but the Brussel sprouts were gross and way too rich for a vegetable. They all seemed like a strange mixture of butter and cheese that also somehow had no flavor. When we were done eating we were full but not happy. Then we got the bill and felt sick. For that much money and pizazz, we hoped it would’ve been better. Maybe the steaks needed an accompaniment like the wagyu butter but we expected the “48 day aged” steak to have at least a little flavor. It was just chewing.
If you’re thinking of trying this steak house while you’re visiting in South Carolina I would highly suggest you consider other options in the city. The food was decent but was not blown away by the quality. The steaks were cooked great but had zero flavor at all even when paired with the wagyu butter. I don’t suggest trying the butter either. The red sangria is a wonderful choice if you are interested in trying a cocktail at this establishment. I was really optimistic and was hoping to have a good experience but it just was not it. I have had much better steaks from Texas Roadhouse than the steak I had here. The lobster Mac and cheese had a decent flavor but the pasta was way over cooked. The creamed corn was decent but very small portion for the price of the meal. The pistachio cake was okay but way too sweet. Also, the waitstaff is very “rushy” I get this place is busy, not really sure why it’s way over hyped, but it seems like they want you in and out. Standing around waiting for you take your last bite. I will not be returning for a second meal. Unfortunately just a waste of time. Would give zero stars if that were an option.
