We were here from out of town and were craving some sushi and this place really hit the spot. Food was fresh, delicious, our server was so helpful and attentive and we had a great time. Crispy rice, kani salad, and their specialty rolls were a hit!

We ate for lunch, and it was amazing! I had the Tsunami Sashimi Roll and Beef Potstickets. The friends I was with ordered a variety of rolls and the teriyaki chicken habachi; everything was excellent and David was very friendly and knowledgeable! Definitely stop by here if you are in the area!

Jackie and Abby are the best. They catered our daughters wedding and the food was amazing. All of our family, friends and guests were so impressed with the quality and design of the food. Jackie made a dragon for a sushi roll and the lobster salad was so unique. The hot food was also perfect. I highly recommend Jackie and Abby for any event and eating at tsumanis.

Wonderful place I like to go to once or twice a week or two! By now they staff knows my face and likes to ask about me (we have a language barrier but they are always smiling and happy(I am too haha)). It’s not fun by mass staff, I haven’t asked but I highly suspect it’s family owned and they hired along a few extras(and the random bar dude- who is great btw! I’m just saying he’s one of the people who can’t speak the language so I’m assuming he isn’t biological family haha). Anyways yes if you visit they will remember your face and when I had a birthday over the course of a few years they did bring me a random birthday drink, when I was younger they brought me a birthday dessert! So they definitely care about people are an individual level and that’s decently rare to find.

I got sushi (bullet roll, Firecracker, and Crab crunch). It was delicious. I got it delivered through doordash so can't review the actual restaurant or service, but the food was great!

So the experience here you guys was phenomenal make sure you go on Saturday catch it during happy hour or right around lunch time and you will see Ray. When I tell you he gave us the best experience it's an understatement. He made sure that we were comfortable, he had a wonderful personality, and made sure our scenery was up to our liking. The food you guys.. if you look at the pictures you will notice that there are no food pictures because not only I was hungry everything was delicious. I did not even have time to snap pictures I was so ready to dig in. The steak was tender, the rice was buttery, we had calamari for our appetizer and we ordered sushi and you guys I just need you to go there it's the best place to unwind.

As a person who is just starting to try sushi and sashimi, I think it is a perfect experience. The food here is not expensive, but the food is very fresh. I will come back often. See you at the tsunami restaurant next time.

I believe this is one of the best restaurants in Charleston, maybe the Southeast. I love the atmosphere here—everyone is always warm and nice that you feel like family the moment you walk in. The food is always amazing, I usually get the hibachi. I enjoy coming here.

Went in at lunch. Their smoothies are amaaaaazing for a hot day. I got the strawberry mango with strawberry boba and it was super good. Also the sushi is great! Highly recommend the dynamite sushi rolls. 3 rolls for ~$15 is a great price! Great value here

This food is absolutely amazing. Very scrumptious. Anybody who loves Asian food, fish and sushi will love this place. This is a place for everybody. I am personally a very picky eater, and there was a bunch of variety here for a picky eater.

This is a review of the restaurant part. I have tried quite a lot of dishes, and everything is great. For me, the highlights are beef tataki and kanimomo. The beef is very thin, and it feels like it melts in your mouth. With BB Q sauce, it is simply a perfect combination. The fried kani is very crispy, and there is also the fragrance of fusion cheese. The menu is suitable for sharing. Snack style, so everyone at the table can eat a little of everything. I also tried some cocktails. They are the perfect match for this meal, balanced and fresh. Everyone on the table likes their food. The service is very thoughtful and pleasant. In general, this is a great first visit, with delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Large seating area inside. Nice large open sushi bar. Restaurant was well lit and decorated, had a fishtank which added to to ambiance. Appetizers came out fast, hot, and tasty as well as our meals. I highly recommend the "Sex on the beach" sushi roll. Mongolian beef was another meal we ordered and it was delicious as well. Service was great throughout our time. Bathrooms are multi stall and they were clean. Food is well priced for the portions and quality. Manager made an appearance at each table. Well trained management team.

Wow, wow!! When I think of the experience of mount pleasant Sushi, the first thing that comes to my mind is these words! I went to celebrate my birthday with my family. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect! The service is great, the food is unforgettable, but the most important thing is that the bartender Ray is excellent! He spares no effort to make sure that my daughter and my elderly disabled aunt feel comfortable and happy -- he is very helpful and surrounded by a good atmosphere full of infectiousness! Not only us, I noticed that he treated all guests like this:) We will definitely become repeat customers.

Bartender Ray is very hospitable, and our waitress is very good! She is very careful and cute. This is a very suitable place for family dinner. It has a very warm atmosphere and the best service. Loved it! Will be back. The staff was amazing and attentive. Never an empty glass on the table. The food was delicious. I got a poke bowl and it was as amazing as it looked. The environment was crisp and clean. Music wasn't too loud and they were able to seat our group of 8 for dinner.

Very delicious, one of the top Japanese cuisines in the area. I’ve tried a few of their sushi and soup selections, and everything has been delicious and offered at a decent price. Their lunch menu runs through 4PM, which is great for later-workers and I’ve always used it. I would give it 5/5 but every time I’ve gone in there no one was wearing a mask. :(

$$ but the plate is enough for 2 people. We eat and take to go the leftover and was enough for dinner. We make a special request ( by food allergies) and they help us kindly, the waitress was very kind and help us a lot, food taste good, a variation in preparation , but works, the fried rice was to simple the plate for kids is a fuller size, we eat after 4 pm, and receive some discount. We expect to pay more than $50.00 for 2 adults and 2 kids, but surprised were less than...we will return. They have sushi bar. For those whom like it.

So, this place had some pretty good fried rice, so it had my vote. Being a sushi place, though, we had to try our hand at a few things. I only tried one roll, but it was pretty good. The star of the dinner was these crab dumpling things, i cant recall the name. They were full of flavor and crunch. I loved them. My only concern was with our waitress, who wasn't able to identify the fish that arrived at the table in a platter, but maybe she was new. Try it. If you're a sushi person, you may just have a great time.

Food was amazing went there specifically for the spinach mozzarella sticks and unfortunately I never received them. The restaurant could use a little more lighting. Service was top tier the waitress checked on us almost every 5 minutes. Lunch special is worth every penny.

One of our all time favorite Asia Restaurants in Mt.P. However, today was NOT one of their best presentations. The quality of the sushi and the Kani salad were marginal, by Tsunami's normal wonderful standards. I am hoping this was just a bad day in the kitchen. We will not give up on this excellent restaurant because of one incident. The manager should be paying more attention to carry out orders to protect their reputation.

Food quality seems to have gone down slightly over the years, also prices have gone up with either the same or smaller portions. And it is always slightly uncomfortably warm when we come in with a smell like they need new cleaning rags. Service and staff are always friendly and good though

The location is short staffed but the positive attitude from the waitstaff is amazing. The sushi was delicious including the appetizer. Make sure you bring your patience with you to this location on a week night. Will have to visit the location a second time to get a true feel for the location.

The food was not that good. They put way too much sauce on the sushi rolls that it was over powering. We asked the waitress if they could remake the sushi roll with less sauce and we were told no because that is how they make it. Service was not good either because our waitress was gone for long stretches of time when there was hardly any others customers there.

They have great Happy Hour deals. The food was just "okay" to me as far as the taste. But the presentation was very nice and the staff were great.

Our visit to the restaurant on Saturday evening was quite underwhelming. Despite driving two hours to get there for our anniversary dinner, where we met, the food did not meet our expectations. The mango sauce, which seemed to be store-bought, was overly sweet, and the tuna Tataki was disappointingly rubbery and overly seasoned with pepper. We asked for no heat. The hibachi lacked sufficient rice, although the flavor was decent. Additionally, the tempura fell short, with pre-cooked shrimp served cold in a sushi roll. Overall, we would rate our meal a 3 out of 10, and unfortunately, we do not plan on returning to this establishment in the future. We are super sad for this experience.

Our family loves this place and are frequent takeout customers, but, Tsunami just jacked up their $ prices. What we like to order is now +20-35% more expensive than it was before. For broader awareness to everyone. There is reason to expect rising prices due to broader economical and supply chain fluctuations (as applicable), understood to keep up. However, a +20-35% price hike…..that seems way too steep. End of day, that makes it harder for our family to justify eating out here nearly as much as we used to moving forward. We are just now ordering food somewhere else as a result. I wish the prices and price increases could be kept to something more reasonable.

This place is still one of the more affordable sushi places but they have made their portions less and less and their vegetable tempura $7 is now a joke. Sorry for the public shaming but their toast app gives no way to do this privately

The food is sub par. Sent calamari back- hard, calamari is over cooked when it crunches- no taste other than OIL… very greasy. Tuna Tartar was great! The wonton chips were so greasy they had no crunch. Ordered 3 rolls all were subpar. Couldn’t taste anything but the over use of sauces. Service was terrible … we arrived at 4pm - only customers in the restaurant and she was very put out by any question and quick to leave. Then Her and one of the cooks were arguing loudly in their native language as soon as she left our table multiple times. It was a strange atmosphere . They were so loud, I asked them if there was a problem with our food order? “Oh no problem no problem, we are not arguing.” So the music gets turned up louder in the dining area. But you can still hear them arguing from the kitchen. Never will I ever come back

This place makes me miss Stix so bad. I shouldn't be surprised considering the other end of this strip wants $20 for 2 pieces of chicken. So the leftovers from a real Hibachi restaurant will not fit in a box the meal came in. Taste wasn't that great, no soup, no fried egg, bad vegetables. Maybe it's a little better if you sit down, but I won't bother. I've had better in a mall in every way. The other food I had before was good, not worth paying 3x what you could get it in Trader Joe's for, but the Hibachi today was just sad. And every person in there had been told "a few more minutes" enough times more than one probably would have left if they didn't make you pay first. If you have to make customers pay first because so many get tired of waiting and leave you might have a problem

Food wasn’t very good. Udon was ok. If you’re going out to get nigiri I would definitely not recommend this place. Way too much rice and the rice was extremely sweet and off putting. Food was meh overall. Also we mentioned there was a lot of rice and asked if we could take some off or if the kitchen could add less when they make our next order. She said not that’s how everywhere does it and that if there was any food (the rice) left we would be charged a fee. Ridiculous and money hungry.
