Nice cozy spot for a casual lunch or a date. They have dedicated parking in the back which is great. The BLT was delicious and a good option as I'm currently dairy free. The outdoor patio would also be a nice place to eat in the right weather. I've also been here for dinner and enjoyed that too!

The patio setting was gorgeous and lively, yet there were still plenty of seats available. I really appreciated the welcoming vibe and the variety of people enjoying their meals. The staff were attentive and made everyone feel comfortable. It felt like a truly inclusive and joyful place to dine. We will definitely return!

If anything, I feel that the menu descriptions do not do their food justice. The French Onion soup is amongst the best that we've ever had anywhere, not just Charlotte. I don't even like onions, and I love it!

What a great first time experience! There was ample parking in the back of the restaurant which is definitely a plus. The atmosphere was inviting and cozy. We were a party of five with reservations and were sat as soon as we arrived. Chris O. did a wonderful job. He was kind, helpful and paid attention to detail for each of our orders. Everything came out correctly. The Baked Marinated Vermont Goat cheese and pull apart bread were delicious! The potato salad was incredible👩‍🍳😘💋! And let me tell you! The Dukes Mayo Caramel Cake was the perfect combination of sweet and salty. It was the only way to end the night by ordering two more to go! My only complaint would be the portion of Ahi Tuna that came over the entree salad. The flavors were there, though lacked in size. However, we would definitely come back and we definitely recommend you come try 300 East out for yourselves.

The chicken had rich seasoning and was fully cooked, yet tender and juicy. The tortilla wrap and rice added great flavor, making the meal satisfying and fresh. I would recommend this dish.

Where do I start. Been here a few times and it has been nothing but fantastic every time. I'll start with the French onion soup because it probably is the best in Charlotte. I have yet to still be chewing on melted cheese 10 min after the bowls were brought out anywhere else. It is seriously a great soup. Only critique would be MORE ONIONS. Had the filet for dinner and my goodness, for sub $40 I don't think you'll have a better filet, bacon jam on the steak, and brussels sprouts anywhere in CLT. (I don't even like brussles sprouts but I liked these for whatever reason) Also had the chicken sandwich, I don't remember what it was was officially called but it had arugula, and some kind of apple/jam/topping, seriously good. And then theirs the Ahi Tuna Salad, only one I got a pic of because we were too busy eating the rest, but absolutely perfect for your tuna lovers. I could write paragraphs about each item on this menu but it's just good, seriously good. Snag a reservation and go.

My sister and I had such a great first visit at 300 East. The food and wine was so delicious and we appreciated the history that our waitress provided about the restaurant’s beginnings and culture. Will definitely return and have already been telling family and friends about this gem of a restaurant! Also, the ambiance 🤌🏾 so lovely

Great little spot with parking only minutes from downtown! Ari was a wonderful server! Tuesdays are 1/2 price glasses of wine from a really diverse list! We had a burgers - one regular with grass-fed beef- one salmon. Both cooked perfectly. No fries here (yay!!!) - sides are everything from mash potatoes to mac n cheese. Veggies off the day were well seasoned crunchy green beans and my OH had a lovely cheese bake which was the side of the day. Loads of salads and tasty food on a menu where you will eat well and feel good about it! All in all, gorgeous wee spot! Great food, excellent service, lovely space! Bravo!

We came here to celebrate, and everything was absolutely incredible. We started with the marinated goat cheese and French onion soup. Both were totally worth it, even though I’m dangerously lactose intolerant 😭. Then we shared the burger with caramelized onions and Gorgonzola, cooked to a perfect medium. I was way too full for dessert, but I’ll definitely be back to try it!

Busy 1:30 pm Sunday spring brunch with a decent amount of patrons dining. The music inside was a bit too loud but fortunately the diners didn't try to talk louder so the noise level was still very acceptable inside. The patio was beautiful and busy but still plenty of tables to choose from. I love the diversity of the people eating here and the wait staff. All colors, sexualities, genders mixing harmoniously over good food. We will definitely be back. Easy parking in the lot behind as well was a really nice bonus! I imagine it gets very full on a busy evening.

300 East has long been one of Charlotte’s best restaurants. I’ve been dining here since the early ’90s, and now that I’m living in the area again, it’s become a weekly go-to. Tuesdays are my favorite—half-price wine by the glass makes it the perfect time for me and my girlfriends to hang out in the late afternoon or early evening. When the weather’s nice, the patio is one of the best places to be. The food is always consistently excellent, but what truly sets 300 East apart is the staff—many of whom I now consider friends. Their warmth and hospitality make every visit feel like coming home. Don’t miss out on this Charlotte classic. It’s a gem that only gets better with time. bring your pup to the patio !

Our experience at 300 East was fantastic. Located in Dilworth, it's one of the finest spots, very close to downtown. The food was amazing and we loved the unique interiors, as the restaurant is housed in an old converted house. The portion sizes were just right for brunch, and we enjoyed the breakfast tacos and the rustic Benedict – both were delicious. The only minor drawback was that the service was a bit slow, but this may have been due to the peak hours.

100000/10, my new favorite restaurant in Charlotte!! The sweet potato ravioli and french onion soup blew my mind!! Soo good. Will be back

The interior is both cozy and antique-feeling in this remodeled old home, perfect for the concise yet quality menu. The waiter gave excellent recommendations for a bottle of wine, and the food was all fantastic: the sweet potato ravioli, skillet goat cheese, strip steak, and ahi tuna greens salad. Every dish was top quality and I would definitely come back to try the remaining items!

Arrived to 300 East like drowned wet rats after spontaneously deciding to utilize the lynx light rail during tropical storm Helene. It was excellent. We patted dry our clothes, sank into the deed hand carved booths of the classic supper club with above average dishes. Enjoyed the perfectly cooked filet with excellent green beans vegetable of the day and mashed potatoes. Crab cake entree was enjoyed along with same sides as steak. Added extra sides mac and cheese and braised kale, both splendid. Oh yea best part was the pull apart bread off top. Took the brownie to go and enjoyed the gelato at the table before transporting back to hotel.

I love how this old home was saved and reused as a restaurant! From the outside, it looks lovely and wonderful! Locates right off east blvd. They do have parking in the back, though, so you don't have to try to find side street parking or anything like that. My husband made a reservation online, and upon arrival, we were seated immediately. Our quaint little 2 seater booth was very cute! Our waitress was amazing (failed to remember her name) she made great recommendations. We opted to get the potato soup for the day as an appetizer as well as their sweet potato ravioli. The potato soup was a big hit. It is topped off with croutons and very flavorful. Now, the sweet potato ravioli was not our favorite, unfortunately. The sweet potato inside was delicious but unfortunately they topped it off with so much cheese and the cheese cream definetly overpowered the sweet potato.we ended up scraping most of it off and once we got to the actual ravioli, we liked it. For our entries, we got the crab cake and salmon, VERY FRESH AND DELICIOUS! came with green beans mashed potatoes, marinated kale, and rice. The entres were delicious, and while the portions looked small, they definitely filled you up. We loved everything. From the ambiance, decor, and food, we will definitely be back and try other things on the menu. Definetly recommend this place whether a date nught or just with the family. Also, at first glance, this space does look small, and tables seemed very close together, but once we were sat, we felt we had plenty of privacy and did not feel squished against another table. There are plenty of architectural decor and pieces to look around while you wait. Definitely paints a picture of how the house was before.

Service was wonderful! They provided us great recommendations and it was quick service. We were seated upstairs and it was a bit tight and a bit dark, but not unpleasant.

Very charming former home that now is a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Weekends are for brunch and make sure you listen to the specials! Elizabeth, our server, was amazing: friendly, respectful, she know all the plates and made some recommendations and was always ready to answer any questions we had. We ordered a custard filled French toast as an appetizer but instead of vanilla, it had a lemon custard that was delicious! It came with caramel walnut that were delicious: they even had a little salt on them. I had the breakfast nachos that featured home made chips, two eggs, pico, guac, black beans, etc. I asked that they add bacon to the mix because bacon makes the world go round! We also tried their crab Benedict's with pepper jelly on the side. Everything was fresh, delicious and needless to say, we will be back on our next visit to Charlotte!

The atmosphere in the Victorian home turned restaurant is very cozy and comfortable. There is ample space between tables allowing us to be oblivious to other parties in the restaurant. The rolls are exceptional. The Seared Ahi Tuna salad is well executed with generous tuna. The French Onion Soup is one of their specialties and I found out why. The soup is so flavorful it just fills your taste buds with the smooth onion flavor. The cheese topping is also generous and perfectly browned. My salmon was the perfect temperature and seared nicely to bring out the flavor of the salmon. Thank you for removing the skin as well!! The Dukes Mayo Caramel Cake was out of this world. This is truly one of the best desserts I have ever enjoyed. The thick frosting, moist cake and candied walnuts come together to steal the show. I am very happy with the entire experience and cannot wait to return for another round of fine dining!

I just had an amazing brunch at 300 East in Dilworth. The place was packed, with Bloody Marys and breakfast cocktails flying off the bar. I went for the Crab Cake Benedict, and it was a flavor explosion! A perfectly poached egg on top of a crab cake loaded with lump crab meat, topped with citrus hollandaise, ripe avocado slices, tangy pickled red onions, and a delicious pepper tomato jam. My dad ordered the breakfast pizza. While I didn’t get a bite, he raved about it and took a photo to send to my mother to make her jealous. It smelled and looked incredible. If you’re in Dilworth, check out 300 East for a brunch that will make your taste buds dance!

Found this place and decided to give it a try. What a fabulous experience. Our waiter was Aubrey. He was simply spectacular. He suggested the bacon smash burger and it really was amazing and it had fried grits fries. The burger also came with some homemade pimento spread. Exceptional! Really really nice I can’t say enough about Aubrey’s Customer service. We also had the shrimp and grits. These are probably the most creamiest grits we’ve ever tasted. Definitely will be going back here again. Very good coffee as well

Looking for a great place for meal in South end? This is the place to be. On a busy day, booking an appointment is a wide thing to do. Polite and knowledgeable staff help with the seating and get the staters. The food wait time in normal. Talking of the food, I got a Black beans and chicken tortilla and it was out of the world. The chicken was perfectly spiced and fully-cooked while still being soft enough. The tortilla floor and the beans tasted great. For the dessert, I got a brownie with ice cream and this is something I highly recommend. It is large enough for two people to share. Highly recommend

Really enjoyed the sweet potato ravioli and the French onion soup! Everyone else in my group enjoyed their food as well, they ordered the salmon, salmon burger, and BLT.

My family visited for brunch. The food was spectacular. I love the home vibe with coffee house music. Customer service was great. Our food came out quickly. Varied choices. They do have a spirits menu. We had the grits bowl with shrimp, breakfast pizza, stuffed French toast, and the BLT. No complaints! We will definitely be back. But get there early bc it gets packed!

This has been a neighborhood restaurant for years and I have been going to it for years. It has always remained consistent. Good food, good service, good atmosphere, they have a great outdoor patio as well. When the weather is nice. It's a great place to take a friend.

I got the French onion soup which was very very delicious but my favorite part was being able to bring my pup by my side on the outdoor patio. Will definitely be back!

I was in Charlotte to visit a friend and took her here for her Birthday. I had a special scallop and risotto dish - very tasty - and she had one of their nice salads - apple & fig I believe. All excellent.

Great food, service and atmosphere, definitely would recommend. The building it is in is a well restored older Victorian home and definitely gives a great and comfortable vibe.

We usually go for brunch! Great menu with not too many options, which is great because you can build your own experience or have something from the menu. Dinner is yum too we always make a reservation because sometimes it does get randomly busy, we went on a Wednesday night and it was pretty busy (which is a great sign)

This place has officially become my go to spot in Charlotte. The sweet potato ravioli was rich and perfectly balanced, and the french onion soup was pure comfort in a bowl. Everything tasted thoughtfully made and full of flavor. Already looking forward to my next visit.

I've been going here for yearsand have always been a fan of this place. As always, whenever any friends from out of town come, 300 East is one of the spots I like to bring them. We did brunch for the first time and everything was really good, well done and the service was great. I wish I could remember her name, but it waitress was really attentive, despite how busy it was. I recommend 300 East.

I've always wanted to go and I'm glad I finally did! Had dinner on a Monday evening. The cocktails were nice. I had the scallops and they were cooked just right. The atmosphere is very cozy and the staff super nice.

This was a pretty good breakfast restaurant, I really enjoyed the quaint and vintage ambiance. The inside was tight and intimate, so I'd say it's a great place to go with others whose company you'd really like to enjoy. Although I didn't eat outside, it seemed like the perfect place to enjoy a nice meal on a beautiful day. Finally, my coffee and biscuit were both pretty good, and the waiter was a really cool guy. Would recommend!

The restaurant is set up in a two story house with a basement (I think - one of the customers who came in asked if anything was available downstairs). We called ahead of time to reserve a table - we showed up and waited less than 10 minutes and were seated. We trekked upstairs to a tiny 2 person spot right against the window. We dined the night after snow maggedon and it was pretty chilly out and I felt the brunt of the draft coming through the window. I wrapped up with a jacket and still enjoyed the dining experience Interior wise it’s very eclectic with a variety of shaped tables sprinkled throughout with vinyl table coverings upstairs (next time we’ll try to sit on the main floor where they have booths. We started with the french onion soup served piping hot in traditional crock bowls with a generous layer of melted Gruyere—absolutely delicious, and we both polished off our bowls. For mains, my wife had the pork chop which was tender, flavorful, and of noticeable high quality (heritage breed pigs). Thankfully I got to nibble off the rest of the meat off the bone after my wife was done! I had the salmon - cooked PERFECTLY medium-rare as requested. Fatty, tender and nicely flavored with the soy glaze; paired well with the Carolina rice and the baby kale added a nice texture with some crispy edges. I devoured the dish quickly 😬 We also tried the special beef mac as a side but unfortunately, its overpowering taco seasoning clashed with our entrees. For dessert, we shared the Dukes mayo Caramel Cake. While the cake itself was a bit dry, the whipped cream, caramel swirl, and praline nuts added great flavor and texture. I think warming the cake before serving would have made this a winner dessert. The ambiance was cozy, and service was attentive. Aside from a couple of small misses, we had a delightful evening and would recommend 300 East!

Really, really solid option especially during Savor. For $50/person, you get a three course meal. And these aren’t skimpy portions either like what some restaurants do during Queens Feast. These are proper, regular sized dishes. Every restaurant can choose how they want to approach Savor. I liked how 300 set up their menu with one old trustee option (current menu) and one new option for each course. Between my partner and I, we were able to try everything. Here’s our take: Starters Baked Goat Cheese (old trustee): I see why this is a fan favorite. The cheese is baked with good olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, and garlic. Comes with a baguette, but I preferred dipping my biscuit instead (more on that below). Biscuit Flight (new item): Comes with three biscuits!! As well as three savory dips that are made in house. The dips were okay but as aforementioned using the goat cheese like a spread was the move for me. Mains Sesame Salmon (old trustee): I actually make a dish similar to this at home, so it didn’t blow my mind but my partner liked it well enough. Roasted Half Chicken (new item): Had a nice roasted, crispy skin. Came with a garlic jus gravy and veggies. If you are carbed out from the apps, this is a good option. Again, simple but good. Dessert Ice Cream Sandwich (old trustee): If I could handle my caffeine after 12pm, I would have definitely eaten more of this. The espresso ice cream paired so well with the maple oatmeal cookie. Glad to know it’s a regular on the menu so I can come back and get it for an early lunch. Cheesecake (new item): Get the ice cream sandwich.

Charming Atmosphere & Delicious Food I had a lovely experience dining at 300 East Restaurant. The setting is beautiful—nestled inside a cozy, historic house with plenty of natural light and outdoor seating. It felt welcoming and relaxed, perfect for a casual evening or a special occasion. I ordered a pasta dish with fresh vegetables, topped with a generous layer of parmesan, and paired it with a glass of white wine. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a unique local restaurant with great food and charm. I’ll definitely be coming back!

So freaking cute! We went Saturday morning pretty close to opening. They opened up their patio seating for us since we came with our dog. The sweet roll was absolutely incredible. Light and fluffy but not too sweet.

Such a cute place to grab a bite! I had the black bean chicken tortilla and it was deliciousssssss!!! Like wow. 100% recommended this dish. I had a lemonade to drink but was not a fan of it. My friend had pita bread and it was great quality.

A relatively small place with plenty of good options. The sweet potato ravioli is delicious. And the chicken salad sandwich was also really good. Drinks were ok. Prices overall were reasonable. Nice place to go with a small group. Friendly staff and quick service. There's a small bar you may be able to find a seat at if there's a wait for a table.

Had a great time...waitress was great... the taste of the crab cake sandwich was good but the presentation was not what I expected...its rolled in panko... not my ideal crabcake but it had a good flavor.. My bun was toasted but cold... the Brussel sprouts had a great flavor and the pickle was a nice touch

Love the outside dining area. Had the porkchop recently and it was outstanding! The cream sauce on the butternut squash makes the entire dish too heavy, but other than that- no issues whatsoever with the food here.

Lots of hype for this restaurant from friends & co-workers. It is a very cozy, comfortable set-up. May need to wait in line since it does get crowded often. Onion soup was very tasty! Other food was good not great but cute place!

Check out this place if you want to change up your dining atmosphere. It was very quirky and quaint inside. Small enough to overhear other tables conversations but not overbearing. The French onion soup is a must try. The dinner menu is a bit smaller than I expected but still some good options. The usual sandwich was delicious! My jalapeño cocktail however was not, along with my mac and cheese that tasted like it came from a frozen box.

So, I stopped by the restaurant to pick up my take out order. The restaurant had great vibes and seemed like it would be really enjoyable for dine in service. I found the food to be lacking in flavor. Everything was cooked well, but it was just boring. I ordered the burger and my husband ordered the chicken. Neither of us were impressed. In my opinion this was a solid 3/5. Nothing bad but definitely nothing noteworthy.

I would not recommend coming here. Before I continue with the review, there are a lot of great places to eat around Charlotte and I wouldn’t waste your time on a restaurant that is over priced and doesn’t have a good reason to do so. Now onto the review, I asked to sit upstairs and this gave the hostess a frown…next, the server took forever to do everything. Probably waited at least 20 minutes before I could order, and then the food took at least another 40 minutes to come out. If you do come here, I recommend brining a board game to help the time pass by. When the food did finally come out it was tasty but way overpriced. Then when I tried to leave, because having dinner is not supposed to be a 2 hour event, I waited for the server to come back to take payment. Not once did the waitress ask how the food was, and if she did it was when she came to take payment 50 minutes later. I get that a waitress who has bad service and a slow kitchen does not define a restaurant but it does define their training program because these employees did not know how to manage a restaurant at all.

Awful customer service from server Laura B - neither I, nor anyone else in my party of 6 will be back here. Laura B was extremely rude and condescending the entire time we dined in. Upon being seated, one person in our group requested lemons for her water. 15 minutes went by and they were not yet brought, so we asked again. She was frustrated we had asked, and then asked if we all would need lemons because it was so much of a hassle. We later asked for straws for our drinks. Again, they were not brought in a timely manner, and we asked again, to which she sighed loudly and went to grab them. This occurred when we asked for to-go boxes and bags later in the evening—never brought, unless we asked 2-3 times, and annoyed with each request. When it was time for the bill, we asked for separate checks, and Laura B complained about how much of a hassle it is to split it up because there’s only one POS system (the restaurant was nearly empty at this time and this should have been stated prior to us ordering). In addition to this, we were celebrating a birthday. We asked if there is any sort of birthday celebration or dessert like many restaurants do, and were told explicitly by Laura B that the restaurant provides a “free brownie with ice cream.” Unfortunately, we did not notice until after paying that we were fraudulently charged for a $10 brownie, contrary to what we were told. Genuinely one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had - we will not be back!
