We went to celebrate my birthday and a friends birthday. We each ordered from the Queen Feast menu. We had a private room, the food was amazing. Everyone enjoyed it.

We went for queens feast. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely go back again. Only downside was the drink. It was not good.

We were a large group of eight diners. The menu has such a nice variety. Everyone was able to find something to enjoy! My favorite was the seared scallop and octopus appetizer. Delicious!

A great experience! The steak was exceptional. Tender, cooked well, and delicious. Great choice of flavors for the soup and sides. The champagne was perfect!

I made a last minute reservation while in Charlotte and this restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered the calamari and the faggottini. Both were very good. The bread was delicious too. We also ordered the lasagna, rigatoni with kale and the short ribs. The short ribs were so tender. The meal was good and the staff was very attentive. If you are looking for a good Italian meal that does not break the bank, I would recommend.

Forchetta has a great vibe and amazing Italian food. Chef really knows his stuff, serving up delicious dishes that mix classic and modern flavors. It's a perfect spot for a cozy dinner or a fun night out.

Everything was EXCELLENT! The Braised Short Ribs were so tender that I didn't need a knife. The Jalapeño Honey Butter Calamari was so good & melted in your melt. I dipped the bread into that sauce & my heavens, so good! Hubby had the Messy Burger, so juicy & tender. We were too full to have dessert.

We absolutely loved our experience here. We came during Charlotte Restaurant Week so they had a modified menu but everything was incredible. Upscale casual feel with menu that is so perfectly curated it was really hard to choose. They had altered their music for the local concert that night which I thought was a nice touch for those attending. (When the concert started they switched back to their regular playlist) they validate parking at the Double Tree Hotel, which they are located inside of, so it was very easy to access even in the center of Uptown. Service was attentive and very helpful. Overall fantastic experience.

Wonderful experience. Miranda was a great server all around and gave impeccable service. Food was delightful and at a reasonable price. 5 stars for food/service and 4 stars for ambiance due to the TV’s that slightly casualize the setting.

Stopped for dinner after work the atmosphere, just resets your mood and the food is outstanding!! Mitchell was great!! At the beginning the lasagna I thought was the best part of the meal... and then I got the cheesecake ... first bite was just WOW.. will return for sure when I am in town.

Wow!! Grilled octopus was amazing! We had a beet salad with a steak on the side that was perfectly done! We had a handmade pasta and a lamb chops again perfect. Chef Luca is amazing. The friendliest staff I think I’ve ever had what a gem hidden inside the Holiday Inn!!

We were guests in the holiday inn hotel and decided to enjoy breakfast here. They offer both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was amazing and a great price. The service was wonderful, so much we came back later for drinks and dessert.

We got caught up in a snowstorm in Charlotte. Walking on the streets everything was closed . Was lucky that forchetta was open . They were noticeably understaffed and menu were limited. Yet, there is nothing to complain about because everything else was simply closed . Glad we had a lunch at all .

We came for a reservation before a show at Blumenthal and it was delicious! Our server was very attentive and helpful, food came out quickly and tasted great, and the place is so pretty inside. Definitely recommend trying out the cheesecake and espresso martini. Picture shown: beet salad with salmon (added honey glaze)

We had a lovely breakfast downstairs from the Holiday Inn at Forchetta. Everything was prepared quick and delicious. Our server kept our coffees full and gave me a to-go cup for the road. Best breakfast option in close proximity to the hotel! We also went the night before and had cocktails and tiramisu.

I normally don’t eat at restaurants in hotels. Not sure why I developed that attitude, but there it is. But I was running late Sunday night and took the advice of the front desk team (hi JJ and Adraysa) to eat at Forchetta inside the Holiday Inn Center-City. (The large sign, announcing Chef Luca’s win on Food Network’s CHOPPED, also helped guide me in.) Dining solo sometimes lands me at the bar, but I prefer a table and was led to one immediately and without anything but the warmest welcome. Ibok was there quickly to remove the second place-setting and fill my water glass. Arturo was right behind her to answer any menu questions. I’d hoped for the Pappardell Pasta, but they were unable to make it that evening. Arturo offered to ask Chef if he’d be willing to make something similar. I am always up any time a Chef wants to improvise. The entrée he created was exceptional. I haven’t had seafood of that caliber in a long time, and I wish I could have ordered a bowl of the broth for later. It smelled incredible and tasted even better. I ate as much as I could and while full, I didn’t feel stuffed. A glass of the Montepuciano was a delightful accompaniment. Ibok and Arturo are an exceptional team. I felt watched over and cared for, and had I more time, I would have stayed for dessert. Thank you for a wonderful evening. I will be back.

Chef Luca and Bartender Danny, truly made our experience unforgettable. My boyfriend and I traveled from Seattle to explore Knoxville TN, Charlotte NC, and Virginia Beach, and our favorite memory was hanging out at Forchetta. The food was immaculate and the drinks hit the spot. Luca and Danny made sure that we were well taken care of. They were some of the kindest people we’ve ever met. We will be sure to stop by the next time we are in Charlotte. ❤️

My husband and I dined at Forchetta during Charlotte’s Restaurant Week. We almost didn’t make it, as there was a huge snowstorm the night before, and the streets were treacherous, even for the short few blocks we had to walk from our Uptown home. We were glad that we made it, however, as it turned out to be a very pleasant and memorable evening. From start to finish, our waiter Bobby and his staff made us feel welcomed and special. All were warm and friendly, and the service was impeccable. It was also a quiet and cozy place, although to be fair we were one of only a few to brave the ice, and the snow outside probably contributed to the cozy feel. Nevertheless, it felt like an intimate date night. Bobby guided us in the choice of dishes and in the wine pairings for each course. We started with seared scallops and lobster bisque, then went forward to filet mignon & shrimp for me and pork medallions for my husband. The lobster bisque was a bit bland, but otherwise all dishes were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The desserts, a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and a domed chocolate cake, were both tasty and rich enough to require taking portions home. It was a memorable night, and we will definitely return.

I came for the Queen's Feast. It took FOREVER to get served, as there was only 1 server and she had 2 large tables. However, Miranda made up for it once she was finally able to break free from them to come say hi to me. I took the recommendation of the hostess and ordered the area scallops, filet with shrimp and dome cake with the wine pairing. The scallops were average; the seat could've been better and the red onions in the relish were very sharp. The parsnips gave a delicious sweetness to the dish. The wine pairing didn't seem to go well but it was still good. For the main, the macaroni was average, the asparagus was overcooked, but the shrimp was good with great flavor and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium. The wine pairing was delicious. For dessert, the dome cake was light and fluffy and not too sweet. The port was heavenly (I may be slightly biased, though, as I love port)! Was it worth it? I think it was a decent value for the cost. Would I do it again? I would definitely come back for dessert and to see sweet Miranda.

My wife and I had a date night at Forchetta during restaurant week recently. We had a reservation for 7pm and arrived right on time. If you park in the parking deck where the restaurant is located they will validate your parking so you don't have to pay. Overall, we had a really good experience but a few things kept it from being great. First off, we were seated at the first table right when you walk in. It is next to the host stand and right at the door. This meant every time someone opened the door, you felt the cold air coming in. Also, since it was very crowded and people were standing around waiting for their table, it made it seem like those people were standing over top of you. My suggestion would be to do away with that table. Secondly, our server Thomas was really great. He explained the menu in detail and took care of us all night long. Since it was a prefixed menu, I went with the Caesar Salad, Green Tea Salmon and Bananas Foster Cheesecake. My wife chose the Beet Salad, Rigatoni and Flourless Chocolate cake. The salads came out quick and within a few minutes of finishing, the entrees came out and then the desserts shortly after. Everything we ate that evening was very good and tasted amazing. Our only complaint about the food was my wife had a fingerprint on her chocolate cake. It looked like someone put their finger on it to move it around the plate. She just cut that piece off and we shared the remaining piece of cake. We would definitely return again and try the entire menu since our service was great and the food tasted great!

I can't believe it was only a week ago that I had a marvelous dinner at Forchetta Restaurant. The Fagottini were little miracles of flavor and texture. We loved the fresh Insalata Della Casa, octopus and and grilled lamb chops. The service was impeccable.

This place has good ambience, all the servers are in black too. It has a quiet atmosphere. We shared the Lasagna which has a delicious meat sauce, but very few noodles. I had the HI Iced Tea drink which was nice - very orangey! The bread was warm, and good and was served with the traditional olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We got onion rings to supplement the meal. They were excellent, done in a crisp batter to perfection. The server was attentive and very nice. Keep in mind with this place you may have to order an appetizer. I will be back as it was an overall very pleasant place to eat.

Stepping into Forchetta felt like entering a scene from a Fellini film. The atmosphere was intoxicating – a symphony of twinkling lights, warm chatter, and the intoxicating aroma of garlic and simmering sauces. The ambience alone primed my palate for a culinary odyssey, and for the most part, it delivered. Edgar, our guide through this Italian wonderland, navigated the menu with charm and expertise. His recommendations were spot-on, and his attentiveness was as comforting as a warm hug. The food, oh the food, was a feast for the eyes. Each plate arrived like a still life painting – vibrant vegetables nestled against perfectly browned meats, all drizzled with glistening sauces. My only (minor) quibble? Temperature. The soup, a tantalizing medley of mushrooms and duck confit, was lukewarm at best, and the entrees, while beautifully presented, lacked that initial sizzle that truly elevates a dish. However, the skill and passion in the kitchen shone through. The meat was cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection, the flavors sang a chorus of rich Italian tradition. The bar, meanwhile, was abuzz with life, a testament to Forchetta's ability to cater to both the romantic tête-à-tête and the boisterous gathering. So, would I return to Forchetta? Absolutely. The atmosphere remains unparalleled, the service as warm as a Tuscan sunset, and the food, with a little tweak on temperature, could be truly sublime. It's a place for lingering conversations, second glasses of wine, and dishes that, while not quite scorching, still hold the promise of a delicious Italian adventure.

Came here for dinner before a show at the Belk Theater. The place has a nice quiet atmosphere. Food was good and staff was very friendly. Only problem was our food took a long time! We got a salad and appetizers and had to wait for a long time before getting the rest of the entrees. Their jalapeño honey butter calamari was delicious!

The staff was very accommodating and the restaurant was nicely decorated. My hubby ordered the house salad and the Scallopine de Pollo, we both loved his salad but neither of us cared for the chicken dish. I ordered the Squid Ink Fettuccine with lobster, asparagus and cream sauce. It tasted like Fettuccine with Alfredo sauce until I realized there was not any lobster. I saw that the asparagus was chopped very tiny so i kept searching for the lobster. Finally I asked the server and he brought me more sauce that had the lobster in it! Mine was tasty, I liked it.

Went here for my husband's birthday during Restaurant Week. The food was just ok, not great, but not disgusting. The best part of the experience was our waitress Shemyah! She was outstanding.

Decided to try them out for the Queen Charlotte Feast and was really pleased with the service, food and quality of the food. We received excellent service from Jenee which made the experience more pleasant. Its pricey in my opinion but i don’t think the food taste and quality met the price point They also validate parking which far and few between. Definitely plan to go back!

When our party of three arrived (rushing to make our reservation), we found one other party of two in the restaurant and two men chatting at the bar. The atmosphere was quiet, to say the least. Earlier in the day, I’d ogled the menu and was looking forward to the Cajun Chicken Pappardelle with blackened chicken. Although what arrived was still a tasty dish, it was served without pappardelle (my favorite pasta) and without blackened chicken, which in my opinion, is what would have given the dish a Cajun flair. It wasn’t an entirely bad experience, but I wouldn’t go bad either.

"We visited to celebrate our 15th anniversary, but unfortunately, the experience ended on a sour note. Only three minutes after our food was served, the waitress brought us the bill. We have never experienced this at any other restaurant; it made us feel rushed and as though we weren't trusted to stay. As for the food, the meal was ok (8.5/10) and 1st time pasta doesn't included salad like everywhere. Sad we couldn't tried the dessert. The service significantly impacted our special evening."

When you walk in you can either have a prefixed menu that is 3 courses for 45 and if you paired it with wine it was extra 35 (a person). I looked at the prefixed and when I saw the portion size come out I decided to order off the regular menu. I started with the pan fried calamari. It was a good starter, could have used a sauce but other than that the single lime wedge worked too. For the entree I ordered the Seafood Pasta dish. I was shocked when it was placed in front of me. I just looked at my dish and asked myself, where is the rest of it. Dish was supposed to have mushrooms but I think they were missed or hiding because I didn't see any in my dish. The fresh homemade pasta was really good along with the tomato cream sauce. You get three scallops and three jumbo shrimp in the dish. I just wish the dish was bigger as the taste of the food was really good. Like I said don't come here hungry cus you will leave hungry.

Upon arrival, my husband and I had to wait at the door for several minutes, even though there were very few people in the restaurant. The bartender was too busy chatting it up the bar, while there was no host to seat us. The person wiping down tables went over to the waiter and told him we were waiting to be seated. Afterwards, we ordered the calamari appetizer and drinks. The waiter was nice, but didn’t say a lot until I started asking him questions about the menu ingredients. Eventually, he began joking around with us. Overall, it was a decent experience. There were a lot of restaurants around us but we were hungry. Next time I’m in Charlotte, I would have to try Forchetta again….maybe it was just an off night and everyone was just tired.

Attended for a Charlotte Restaurant Week and left unimpressed. I had the Octopus which was delicious. The pork chop was tough, but flavorful. I had to use a steak knife to cut it. The sauce on the pork chop was very good, but the struggle to cut and eat it was so much, that I only ate half. My husband had the branzino and the serving was very tiny. It was sort of tasteless to me. No particular flavor stuck out. He had the chocolate cake, with ice cream and cinnamon popcorn and for the life of me, I don’t understand the combo. It was just weird. The Olive Oil cake was ok, but just ok. Based on prior reviews, I expected much more. The food display was pretty, ambiance was nice but that’s it. I wanted to order just a separate order of Chicken Alfredo to take to my daughter, but they were only serving off of the restaurant week menu. I’m not sure if trying an actual Italian pasta would have redeemed them. It wasn’t terrible. Just wasn’t good.

Mixed experience for sure. The drinks were great, so was the lasagna and veal. But, Caesar salad came in a mason jar, unmixed, and the waiter did not offer a plate or bowl. When we asked, he mentioned chef Luca explicitly said it should be eaten out of the jar. With a fork shorter than the jar and no way to mix it. I suggest the chef rethink this entirely.

F
Francisco Matos

I expected a little more. I was struggling between 3 and 4 stars. But it feels more 6/10 than 7 or 8. The place is pretty. Elegant. The staff is very attentive and courteous. But that's it. Drinks and appetizer took 25 minutes to get to the table. And the food was good. But not GOOD. You know? Like I have no complaints. It didn't disappoint or anything.. but it wasn't mind blowing. Cocktails were meh. Overall, wasn't BAD, but no need to go back versus trying somewhere new.

K
Kristina Zhegunova

We had breakfast here, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. I wish every waiter in the world had such a kind heart as ours—it was truly felt in the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself was below average, so I wouldn’t recommend this place for it. Maybe the experience is better in the evening.

D
Debbie Marcantonio

Not a fan….Queens Feast menu ….with a name like Forchetta we expected Italian food….they need to study how the food is presented in Italy if they want to claim they are an Italian restaurant….you never serve three people and the fourth person waits over 10 mins for their plate…

Staff was arguing w each other. Drinks never came. With a reservation we were stuck in front of the food delivery counter hoping no one dropped food on us.

Took 15+ minutes to be sat for our reservation, the restaurant was not busy. When we were sat, took another 15 minutes to get our order. When our server finally arrived, he snapped at my party for finishing a conversation and told them to pay attention to him which we found to be incredibly rude, especially when it took him so long to come at all. Took our drinks and food and took another 15-20 minute to get our drinks, which were incorrect. The restaurant was half full at this point with at least 6 staff members moving around. Our food took over an hour to arrive and at that point we were rushing out to go to our next event, even though we gave ourselves two hours. Our server told us that he took off the automatic gratuity for the trouble but that was false and charged us an automatic 21%, which would have been fine, if the service we received granted it. Food was fine, portions were small. Very disappointing.

So very disappointed by this place... I am a native Italian and had very high expectations given the chef was supposed to be famous and from Napoli. He must not have been present the evening my wife and I went. So after waiting over 30 minutes to place our food order, it arrived after less than 5 minutes later. I can tell you that this is impossible even for pappardelle pasta unless it's been precooked. And was it overcooked and mushy!! Drowning in liquid as if it were a soup. The fish dish was also delivered at the same time and also was bland and overcooked. We ended up not eating anything. Even the bread (focaccia??) was mushy soft and not crusty as is customary. At least the bottle of wine was acceptable. No offer from manager to replace anything or discount our bill. Will NEVER return.

we order food to go and the chicken tenders were beyond burnt, didnt get my fries to more order and took almost 30 minutes to come out. will never eat/order from here again. waste of money.

Saturday night, we were going to a 7:30 show at the Blumenthal. 6:00 reservation and at first the host said we needed to wait. Within a few minutes, he offered the 2 of us a hi-top for 8, which we accepted. Waited 15 minutes at the table and all that had happened was our water glasses were filled, without a word spoken. We left and went across the street to SoHo Bistro. The sweet woman there ran the dining room and takeout by herself and gave us much better service.

R
Robert Schenkl

Service was poor. Waiter forgot our drinks. Never came to check on us. Had to go to bar to order our second drinks. Presentation of food was rough. Food tasted decent but was not put together with care. Wife is GF, waiter seemed to not understand the severity. Went home early from concert with allergic reaction to meal. Atmosphere was beautiful. Has potential to be a great spot if they would work on a few things. If GF is required I would suggest staying away until they have a better way to segregate the food from contamination and a more knowledgeable kitchen.

I ate there for dinner and breakfast during my recent stay. Breakfast was fine but dinner was a whole other experience. There were people at the bar, no one at tables, but I preferred a table so I waited at the "please wait to be seated" sign for a while and was completely ignored. I gave in at sat at the bar. Though people were at the bar it was crowded. After a while of sitting there I was finally acknowledged by the bartender and she asked if I was eating at the bar, I said yes and she told me I would get my food quicker if I ordered from a table. THERE WAS NOBODY SITTING AT ANY TABLES AND I WAITED FOR A TABLE. I simply said it's fine, I was tired from traveling. After some time waiting for a menu she walks over, looks at me and slides me a menu from the lady sitting next me and walks off. I didn't know I could just grab a menu from someone else and I didn't want to interrupt the lady sitting next to me. Eventually ordered, got my food, it was cold but I didn't complain or care because I was hungry. Worst experience I've had there during one of my Hilton stays, I don't know what the problem was but that was terrible.

E
Elissa Plastino

Worst experience ever. For first time in our lives we didn’t tip. We were sat right away but waited 20 minutes before a server came to take drink order, and we had to ask about a server first. We placed drink and appetizer orders. Received salad but not appetizers. Never saw server again. Never received bread. Had to ask just to get our bill because it had been an hour and we had concert tickets. Now I am at concert eating a pretzel because I am starving and we have to go eat afterwards.

Z
Zach Sparks

We were staying in the attached hotel and came for the pizza at the recommendation of the hotel staff. As it turns out we waited 30 minutes for the “chef” to walk to the hotel lobby, but a $4 frozen digiorno pizza, slap it in the toaster then sell it to us for $15 each. Absolutely would not give this restaurant another penny of my money.
