Super fresh food, we have the baby squid, summer rolls, spicy chicken curry and a chicken salad. All great flavours & so fresh! Incredible service from the staff - our server Gigi was super friendly & helpful on our first visit, she deserves a bonus for sure <3

Arguably one of the world's tastiest dishes, a bowl of Pho (Vietnam's National dish) is still quite hard to find in Britain. Thankfully Pho Cheltenham, part of a small UK chain of specialty Vietnamese restaurants, makes the search well worthwhile. Flavours are authentically delicious and the waitstaff were terrific! Although it's a 3 hour motorway drive to get there, I shall return...

We came to Pho in Cheltenham for my sister-in-law’s birthday and left with full bellies, happy hearts, and the faint suspicion that we may have discovered our new favourite restaurant. First up: Gigi. What a star. In a world where service can sometimes feel like it’s run by robots, she was all warmth, humour, and personality. She laughed with us, bantered with us, and made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. Now, let’s talk food. Having two Coeliacs and three Vegans at the table usually means half an hour of squinting at menus, muttering “can we actually eat this?” Not here. Pho is a rare unicorn – most of the menu is gluten-free, and the vegan options aren’t an afterthought. They’re genuinely exciting. Even the prawn crackers were gluten-free, which is basically the snack equivalent of winning the lottery. Starter? Summer Rolls with satay dip: fresh, crunchy, and gone in seconds. Main? The vegan chicken rice bowl – apparently the spiciest dish on the menu. I didn’t seek legendary status, it found me! It did not disappoint. Let’s just say I achieved “sweaty forehead chic” and loved every bite. Dessert was the Chocolate Pandan Waffle – nice, but overshadowed by the absolute superstar of the night: the spicy lemonade. Sweet, tangy, fiery… basically a personality in a glass. The cherry on top was the manager popping by at the end to chat. No rush, no awkwardness – just genuine care. And it showed. Would I recommend Pho Cheltenham? In a heartbeat. Would I drink spicy lemonade every day if they sold it by the litre? Absolutely.

2026, Beth and the team were as usual fantastic and the food is amazing What a truly exceptional experience at PHO Cheltenham! From the moment I walked in, I felt an incredible 110% welcome – a feeling that's all too rare these days. The atmosphere is simply beautiful, creating the perfect backdrop for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. The food itself is nothing short of excellent and authentically delicious. Every dish I tried was packed with flavour, transporting me straight to Vietnam. A special shout-out must go to the fact that their chicken is halal, which is a huge plus and something I truly appreciate. I was also impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. The dining area was spotless, and the WC facilities were equally well maintained. It's clear that attention to detail extends to every corner of PHO Cheltenham, creating a truly comfortable and pleasant dining environment for all. I also noted the presence of accessible facilities, making it a welcoming place for everyone. What truly made my visit special were the staff, especially Gigi and Alex. They were absolutely fantastic – so positive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Their energy was infectious, and they genuinely went above and beyond to ensure I had a wonderful time. They're a credit to PHO Cheltenham. I also want to extend my sincere thanks to the manager, who was equally brilliant and clearly cultivated such a welcoming environment. The price point is just right for the quality and experience you receive. For those driving, the NCP Brewery Quarter car park is conveniently located within easy walking distance. I highly recommend PHO Cheltenham to everyone, whether you're dining with family or friends. It's a truly family-safe environment. A massive thank you once again to Gigi, Alex, and the manager! Always such a fantastic experience at Pho. The staff are some of the kindest and loveliest team out there, the wonderful new lady that started at the branch here is super sweet and helpful, and the food is reliably greay every single time. The only chain out there worth 5* ☺️

A standout feature is that about 98% of the menu is gluten free, making it an excellent choice for coeliac diners. The restaurant is accredited by Coeliac UK and staff are knowledgeable and proactive about allergies, ensuring a safe and worry-free experience for those with gluten intolerance, including children. The menu includes a wide variety of Vietnamese dishes like pho, curries, the amazing rice bowls, and fresh rolls, with many vegan and dairy-free options as well. I would highly recommend Pho Cheltenham for its delicious, healthy food, excellent service, and outstanding gluten-free options.

The food was great & the waiter was very friendly, however a different waiter dropped one of our starters which wouldn't have been a problem, but we've since realized that after they apologized & told us that they'd get us a new starter, we've been charged for both the dropped & replacement :/ Other than that, very nice! Update - It didn’t show on the email receipts that the dropped starter had been removed from the price, customer support was super supportive & happy to help & we hope to be back soon! Highly recommend!!😛

Firstly, I was blown away by the incredible staff who were with me in seconds and showing me the menu and what they thought was the best. The food was absolutely delish!! You can tell the staff really care about their food. I had their Steak and Garlic rice noodle soup and the (GLUTEN FREE!!?) chocolage waffle and icecream. The restaurant was spotless - Staff were truly helpful and lovely. I’ll be back for sure! (Totally safe for fellow coeliacs, I highly recommend!)

I had a great experience here. Friendly staff explaining the food and best ways to experience it without being overbearing, resulting in what seemed to be a constantly changing set of flavours. Absolutely excellent!

If you’re looking for good pho this is definitely the place. Got served by Jordan who was such a sound guy, he walked us through how to season the pho with the various different herbs and spices that you can add and explained to us how it changes the flavour of the pho. All in all tasted amazing, looked amazing, and smelt amazing so yea i would 100% recommend to anyone looking to scratch that vietnamese itch.

Visited on 23 May 2025 for dinner. Had an amazing experience, and the service from Gigi was exceptional! 🤩 Wouldn’t have believed that it was her first shift. She was warm, friendly, efficient and served with a smile! Everything you could ask for - and the food was great as always! We ordered chicken pho and chicken curry, with a fresh juice and spicy lemonade. Thanks Gigi! 😇

Overall it was excellent. Even a minor incident involving a hidden chilli could not diminish my enjoyment. I left full and happy, what more could you really ask for? This was largely because I was so well looked after by Abbey, Jordan, and Kyle. They each were attentive, friendly, and efficient, massively contributing to the enjoyment of my meal

Beth was lovely and made us feel really welcome. I am a moderate addict to the baby squid starter, it's just too damn delicious so I keep coming back and back for more and with lovely staff like Beth, I know I'll always be welcome. P.s. loved the strawberry earrings!

Welcomed as first timers to this lovely restaurant by Kyle and Jordan and super impressed! Enjoyed two tasty salads for a late, healthy lunch option, jasmine flower tea and juice with a side of prawn crackers - yummy. We realised Pho is also in St Albans, as we were not local and will definitely be trying our local one after this experience. Kyle and Jordan were a great team and made us feel very welcome

A great first experience at Pho! The food was fantastic, so warming and tasty! Kyle was so helpful with helping me navigate the menu and pick the best options. The spring rolls are genuinely phenomenal! Beth on the bar made some fab drinks! ☺️

Had a great meal today. Our waitress Maria B was very friendly and welcoming. We're not very familiar with Vietnamese food but Maria was very knowledgeable and helped us choose some delicious food. We will be coming back. Thanks Pho and thanks to Maria.

Pho was fabulous, twice in 3 days. The food was amazing, and Kyle was brilliant, extremely friendly, knowledgable, and even had my husband’s meal toned down for spice, and remembered 2 days later exactly how he wanted it. 10 stars for Kyle, brilliant ‘front of house’, he should be rewarded for what he does, going the extra mile. My husband celebrated his 60th birthday this week in Cheltenham, what a great time we’ve had!

Abi is excellent. She served us so well even when the restaurant was packed. She packed all our take away food for us so efficiently and neatly..she is excellent with her work and she made our dinner so special. Kyle is good very friendly. Jesicca has been very helpful in my selection of food and drinks.

Me and a group of my friends visited pho recently. We were met with a warm welcome, our server , Kyle. He was very friendly and in the christmas spirit, we particularly loved his festive jumper. Once we had ordered our food, it all arrived very quickly and together. Kyle was incredible at dealing with a sizeable party of us, and really made our day with his smile and hilarious festive jokes. The food was amazing, very yummy and they were great when dealing with dietary requirements. We would definitely return again. Thank you!

I got a delivery so can't speak about the inside of the restaurant but the food was EXQUISITE! I got summer veggie bites - they were so fresh and tasty, and the nuoc cham sauce was also very fresh and a bit sour and a bit spicy. Very tasty starter. I got the classic fish curry - AMAZING!!! 11/10 literally so good, I was in heaven at the first bite. Delicious curry and rice, great fish and veggies in it, so flavourful! I will come back to dine in-person!

PHO Cheltenham was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The cocktails were genuinely the best I’ve ever had — perfectly balanced, creative, and dangerously drinkable. The food was just as impressive: incredibly fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every dish. The service was exceptional from Beth and Luca and I will be back again!

A great place for Vietnamese food! We frequent this place when everyone’s craving Vietnamese. Tonight, we had a really excellent server, Beth, who said she was pretty new. We thought she did great, got the orders in and came back with the spoons, napkins, and checked on us to make sure everything was just right. Which it was, we had the crispy chicken wings, morning glory and Vietnamese crepe (banh Xeo). Kids enjoyed their brisket pho as usual. I got chicken pho for the first time and it was delicious! The hubs got his usual curry and rice dish which he substituted for cauliflower rice instead. Being Vietnamese, and used to “mom’s home cooking” , I can be super critically but I have to admit, this place hits the spot… especially on cold nights like tonight. Thank you Pho Cheltenham for taking us in (always without any pre-booking) and taking care of the kiddos! We will be back! 🥰😋😋😋

Dori was an exceptional host, very attentive, pleasant with a great sense of humour. It was my daughter's birthday, we had a wonderful evening. The food was incredible. We have also previously ordered several home deliveries.

We had a fantastic meal at Pho Cheltenham and were looked after by Maria H. Her knowledge of the menu was excellent, especially when it came to my allergy — she explained everything clearly and made us feel completely reassured. The service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. It wasn’t just Maria either — from the team clearing tables to those serving the food, everyone was friendly and helpful. The whole experience felt smooth and well looked after. I visited a few years ago and didn’t have the best experience, so hadn’t returned — but I’m so glad I gave it another go. Even my mum, who is very hard to impress and usually finds something to critique, absolutely loved it and gave it 10/10. A brilliant experience all round.

Love this place. It’s my go to once a week. Great vegan options, staff have real attention to detail. Clean, friendly, prompt with food order, really good layout so you’re not sat on top of other diners. Prices reflect the quality of food. I had a starter and veg salad which equated to £18 with my student discount.

I recently dined at the Pho restaurant in Cheltenham and wanted to share my experience. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed meal. I ordered the spicy Pho, but unfortunately, it was literally drenched in chili oil, making it difficult to enjoy. When I asked the staff to change it, they were accommodating and served us normal Pho without hesitation, which was lovely. However, I also ordered the panda waffle, which was a disappointment because of the size. At £8, it felt overpriced for such a small waffle. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I appreciate their willingness to correct the issue with the Pho, but the waffle's value didn't meet expectations.

The food was good, but as soon as we walked in, we were told we only had an hour before they closed by the manager. That slightly put us off going in. But the rest of the team was warm and friendly.

i always come here, the service and food are always top notch, but today we had multiple servers as the main waitress took 15-20 minutes each time to take our order, in the end i had to walk to the counter and order as i was dying for a drink. bare in mind there was 2 other tables that were there before us also waiting and we got our food before the waitress even served them drinks. we had the 2 managers, jess and then the other waitress was the one who was doing everything else but serve the customers that are waiting for what they came here for. i would never usually leave a review but today was just unacceptable service and the other customers were saying it to.
