Andros Taverna serves up a tasty Greek fare in Logan Square! Having tried Mano o Mano and Bastian Asador, I am pleased to vouched that my experience at all three of the restaurants of the Eat Well hospitality group were excellent. Andros Taverna in particular is supported by a strong culinary and wait staff. From the moment upon entry to leaving, I felt welcomed, taken care of and in great hands by David and his staff. Our server, T, was the most friendly and upbeat waitress! Andros also offers a variety of dining from baked goods, brunch, to full service dinner. I particularly loved their Olympia brunch dish with a hearty serving of lamb meat, sunny side up egg (they use eggs with orange yolk!) and fresh hand cut potato fries. I love their on the vein cherry tomato appetizer with olive oil, sea salt and house made seasoning is a healthy alternative than bread service at other restaurants. I love the small details and their testament to quality food. Can't wait to return for their dinner service next!

We went to Andros Taverna for Valentine's Day. The atmosphere was amazing, had knowledgeable staff, and the Halloumi sandwich entree was incredible. I highly recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere with lots of seating options. Breakfast was delicious with many variations of traditional breakfasts and others with Mediterranean twists. All were exquisite.

Andros taverna brings me happiness. The food is presented brilliantly. The lamb and ceviche were amongst my favorites! The mezze platter is slightly lacking.

Wandering around in the Logan area, we passed Andros in our hungry stupor and the smell lulled us in. A large, gorgeous interior greeted us as we sat in a booth. We ordered the pita bread with 3 sauces, steaks, and octopus for the table along with some white wine. The dishes were very tasty, with the pita being my personal favorite. The three sauces all tasted different and would be fun to mix-and-match flavors together with a well toasted pita bread. Service was great: friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Our ice bucket started to leak and our server was very quick with the replacement!

We walked in on Mother’s Day and got a table outside. The food was amazing and fresh. We enjoyed the Mediterranean twist to the menu items. Clay was our server and very friendly and patient. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a special occasion or date night. Very kid friendly but limited high chairs. Maybe brighten up the restrooms but otherwise this place is a home run.

Overall, very delicious food. The beef appetizers were probably the most delicious dish we had. The roasted lamb was underwhelming, wish there was more flavorful however the cook on it was perfect. Service was great and friendly too.

We just left this place. It was delicious! The atmosphere was lovely--please see my photos. The wait staff is fantastic--quick to refill our water glasses, clean the table, get us anything we wanted. The food was outstanding. We had the lamb along with an appetizer and dessert.

This was a spontaneous Saturday night dinner stop, so we obviously didn't have any reservations (which you 100% need), but we were lucky enough to score a seat by the bar! First off, coming into the restaurant you get a dark, sophisticated and contemporary feel to the place. Definitely gives off that Mediterranean feel to it. Even though we sat at the bar, the service was exceptional! Food came out quick as well. Everything we ordered we would order again. So much flavor to each dish. Started with their calamari, whipped feta and pita. I'm a big dill lover so the whipped feta was so delicious. Very light, airy and refreshing. The calamari is probably one of my favorites in the city. It's grilled, so you get that nice char taste to it. The seasoning was also very fresh with an oil and vinegar base with Mediterranean herbs. Using the pita to dip in the extra juice was perfection. The octopus and side of fries was our last meal. The octopus here is definitely one of my top favorites. I appreciate a place that gives you a nice portion of meat. The fries were also great! I personally wasn't a fan of the dipping sauce it came with. I tasted some kind of cinnamon, or something sweeter to it, but the fries themselves with the shaved feta were amazing! If you're a Mediterranean food lover, I promise this spot will NOT disappoint!!

The attention to the food and wine is exceptional. There is an in-house sommelier who will suggest the perfect wine pairing for your meal. Along with savory meats, their seafood is also top notch. Greek cuisine at its best. Love the ambiance with all the greenery as well. An ideal date spot!

We came here for our anniversary and the food didn't disappoint. We ordered the combination spreads and the sardines for appetizers - different but both very satisfyingly delicious - one of the best sardines in town as it's so light and refreshing. We got the lamb and the whole snapper for our entree. Even though the lamb was good, we were impressed with the grilled snapper - which was so fresh and perfectly cooked. Would highly recommend the fish here.

Beautiful restaurant in Logan's Square. Very flavorful (and strong) cocktails to start the evening, both Olive Oil Martini, House Old Fashioned, and Jordan's Kiss were all favorites. We ate family style and ordered more dishes than I can recall but the mezze collection with pitas were all wonderful. Also recommend the fournou potatoes and the maroulosalata but have them add feta. The fish is flown in fresh, have them bring the fish plate over and explain what they currently have to offer and the characteristics of each. Delicious but gets pricey quickly so plan ahead.

Amazing! 10/10 would recommend to anyone :) not only is the food outstanding, the service is so warm and welcoming and ambiance/interior is gorgeous. We were a party of three and ordered the Mezze collection as an appetizer to start which was very well done- it can be easily seen that the olive oil used for every dish especially this one is of super high quality. We then ordered the Mediterranean octopus, spring lamb mix grill, and the baked whole fish which was portioned at the table! For dessert we had the chocolate halva mousse. We were all super impressed by the consistency and accuracy of the cook for all the meats we had. From the fish to the octopus to all the different cuts of lamb- the cook for all of them was superb! We will be coming back again for any nice dinner or celebration. Super happy to have found another go to restaurant in the city!

Flavorful, upscale Greek food with a chic atmosphere located in the Logan Square area. The lemon potatoes were tender, the pork skewers were so very tasty, but the eggplant moussaka was the star of the show being rich, flavorful and comforting. The gyro was also very good but more like very well seasoned pulled pork that was so tender. Our server was so attentive and knowledgeable. Andros is a great place to eat.

Everything was delicious!!!!! Get the 3 dip sampler with the pita, my personal fave was the spicy feta cheese. They fillet the fish right in front of us, one of the best fish I’ve had. The octopus was also delicious. That Pet Nat was so good we ended up getting a bottle of it. The service, they were mixing up some of the tables order. But it was also very busy. So I would definitely go again! Our waitress was super sweet!

Excellent food though the sardines could have used a bit more salt and the portion size was tiny. My photo shows the entree size... 4 sardines, that's it. The octopus appetizer was the best octopus I've ever had! We were a group of six and everything we ordered was very tasty. The service was impeccable. We will definitely be back!

We walked past on Friday evening and spotted a table available outside so decided to try our luck. We ordered vegetarian dishes from the menu. Wow everything tasted amazing and fabulously fresh. The salad was excellent, zucchini chips, hot and fluffy pitta bread, the cheese pie is a must and that chocolate dessert, well I could eat it all over again right now. The service is professional and friendly. I do you love Greek food, you will be impressed. The brunch menu looks lovely. A lovely dining spot. I would definitely go next time I’m visiting Chicago.

We had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious brunch here recently and it completely blew my mind. The mezze collection was delicious accompanied by a freshly baked crispy pita. I had never tasted olives like these before. The spicy lamb pita was juicy and the dip was a perfect accompaniment to it. The vibe was very relaxed and made for a perfect brunch. I will definitely be coming back.

We love Andros. It is one of our most favorite Greek restaurants. We eat at Andros every other month or so. We have our staples that we order from the menu every time and look forward to their specials! The cocktail menu is also extra special. The staff and the service are absolutely outstanding. They are very well informed with the menu and have never steered us wrong. We've celebrated our New Year twice now at Andros because the menu has been so unique and devilishly impeccable!

One of the best kitchens in Chicago. Starting with the appetizers, the fish was impeccable, the rice with spinach and the moussaka as well! The dessert was very well crafted! I really enjoyed it! I will come back more often.

Absolutely amazing cuisine. We went for brunch but ended up missing it by about ten minutes! Oh well. I will say the Greek salad, the lemon potatoes, the avgolemono, are the best I've ever had. The meat was a bit on the drier end but was very flavorful. I want to get the fish, octopus, and squid next time though.

Went for an elementry water class and they served mezzes, appetizers that were wonderful especially with designer cocktails. Stayed for dinner. A modern take on classic Greek food which is well prepared supported by a well curated wine list. The star was desert baklava froyo

As someone who spent much of my childhood in Greece, I was thrilled to find food that truly captures the flavors and spirit of Greek cuisine! I highly recommend ordering a variety of appetizers to share with the table—it’s the best way to experience the menu. The hummus with ikura was absolutely standout, dolmades my new favorite, and the chocolate halva mousse was the perfect sweet ending. The gyro was solid, and all the meats were cooked to perfection. Can’t wait to come back!

Amazing! This is the place to have your next brunch. We hosted a bridal brunch here. They were so easy to work with. Food was exceptional, they customized the menu for the occasion and the service was outstanding. Highly recommended going as just as a couple or if you are looking for a place to host a group.

One of my favorite restaurants in the city! The service is impeccable, and everything I’ve eaten has always been amazing. The whipped feta dip is superb and don’t forget to add the side of Zatar seasoned pita.all 3 sandwiches are incredible but my favorite is probably the super fresh and flavorful grilled octopus, which comes with an amazing and unique sauce. Don’t sleep on the frozen yogurt for dessert. It’s probably my all time favorite dessert and comes with a delicious pistachio sauce and baklava crumble topping. The staff is always super friendly and treats every guest like a VIP. I’ve been here a dozen times and will be coming back here over and over.

Went here for brunch and it was crowded . I tried: 🍽️ whipped honey butter with sourdough 🍽️ baked feta and eggs 🍽️ pita bread 🍽️ mezze: charred eggplant, tzatziki, whipped feta 🍽️ lemon olive oil cake First of all the spread was delicious. Every dish was amazing and filling. I loved the vibe and interior as well.

Excellent elevated Greek food with some unique options on the menu. The Santorini Favas, Octopus Skordalia, and Spicy Whipped Feta were great as well as the fish of the day, which I think was something like sea bass. But the star of the show was the puffer fish! I could have eaten about 20 of those little guys as they were amazing. Perfect date night spot or if you want to go out with friends. The space is also real neat as it sort of feels like you are in a backyard garden.

Threw a corporate dinner in their beautiful greenhouse for 27 people. The group loved the meal - raving about the food. Working with Jocelyn and the team was seamless. They make planning corporate dinners easy, especially when not in attendance. Highly recommend.

This is my second time at the restaurant. We came here years ago when they first opened for brunch. The food was good then and it's is still good. The zucchini chip were the best zucchini chips I have had. The grilled calamari was a bit chewy and I have had better at other places. The beef stew was good, a bit salty for me but overall good. The beef was very tender and flavorful. The portion is on the smaller side. The lamb ribs were very tasty. Not too fatty would order again. Now for the not so good. I am guessing it was just an off day. The service was pleasant and the server was good when he was around. But he was not around very often. Service was just slow. We always had to find the waiter. Not sure why because they were not that busy. He was very nice and helpful when he was around. Then we get to dessert. Order a French press coffee. Big mistake. Got warm brown water. No flavor and my guess, not enough grounds. Barely taste of coffee. I returned it. And ordered what I thought was an Apple Galaktoboureko, at least that's what I thought I ordered. Still not sure what happened. Asked for another dessert menu and that one had another apple dessert that was not Galaktoboureko. Both me and my wife remember it being a Galaktobourek. Either way it was not what we expected. The waiter and manager were very kind and brought us another dessert that was more similar to what I had thought I ordered and comped us the desserts. Even with a different name the description of the other apple dessert was still supposed to have a semelina custard, which it did not. It was just a strange evening. I do advise that someone check all the menus as the mess with the dessert really took away from the evening. I was really looking forward to the dessert. Galaktoboureko is my favorite Greek pastry and along with the really bad coffee ruined the evening.

It's a good place for a nice dinner. We enjoyed our food; it was very tasty and delicious. The atmosphere was great. The only but is that the food took too long to come to our table! But the service was very friendly, and our waitress T knew a lot about the menu, and her recommendations were very accurate. We definitely will come back. Please try the lamb; it was great!

Very tasty food although it did not fully delivery the full and authentic greek taste. Some of our guests were a little disappointed with the portion sizes. The service was great, we were quickly offered a table and received full attention from the staff.

The scallops and zucchini chips were great! The mezze collection was very good, and you can change the dips if you want. We added a garlic one that was good, but they were all good. The octopus was more crispy than I like; my friends liked it but I thought it was overcooked. Did not like the mussels. Service was nice but a little slow/off, but they did compensate a dish for us to make up for it.

I went here for a friend’s birthday dinner and had a great time. The decor and atmosphere inside the restaurant is so cool and the service was super helpful and friendly. The food was really fun to try as well, although a couple of “shareable” plates (i.e. the gyro, cheese pie) weren’t too easy to split up between the table, and there weren’t too many vegetarian options for some of our friends. For me, the star of the meal was the Sparta octopus, which had an amazing citrus-butter flavor and was so fresh/not chewy at all!

Came here for brunch and we all enjoyed our time. A friend of mine got the cappuccino freddo, which she enjoyed and looked incredible. The food overall was decent. Not extraordinary, but I think agreeable food for a wide range of people. The French toast was a little flat in flavor, I think it could be sweeter and richer. The baklava bear claw was pretty great and the sourdough with honey butter was also tasty. Both I’d recommend. The cheesy egg in pita was exactly as you’d expect, and I enjoyed, but nothing that rocked my world. The interior and staff were both lovely. I’ll probably be back some time to try some other items, especially the halva date shake which had my eye.

Some items were delicious and others were okay. The meatballs were really dry. We ordered another small plate that wasn’t memorable. The Greek fries were just okay. The highlights were the cod mezze, octopus, desserts. For dessert, we ordered the cookies and mousse. The cocktail list wasn’t appealing so I didn’t order a drink. The service was attentive. Checkout was self-service at the table.

Overall, a wonderful experience. The starter of the cheese pie was the biggest hit of the night. The lemon potatoes were incredible (although, maybe I’d get well done next time). The lemon chicken was good. My partner said the lamb was way too well done.

Came in for New Years Eve. Overall, we were impressed by the outstanding service and menu selection. The Mezze Collection was a great option for our table as it provided a good variety of spreads. We ordered the Charred Eggplant, Spicy Whipped Feta, and Traditional Tzatziki. We were pleased with all our choices. The grass fed beef keftedes were very tasty and well prepared. The beets and feta salad were probably the favorite of the table, while Georgie's Gryos left us a bit underwhelmed. I would recommend Andros Taverna as it is definitely worth checking out if you haven't already.

Joined for 2024 restaurant week brunch $25/person. Really good value. We ordered the beef and Octopus (+$6) great value big portion. But nothing too special to make me want to come again. Nice choice for restaurant week though .

I was in the area to go to another event close by. After checking in, I walked back to Andros for a drink. What brought me back was the atmosphere, Andros is a pretty and warm place, with a full bar and expresso set up. The music was good too, and great background music. Along with my drink, I ended up having a pita, and the eggplant spread, which was served with crisp vegetables.

We went with another couple and had a good time. Overall I thought the food was delicious and vibe was on point. Service was just so so. Would go again. Must try: -Octopus (grilled and seasoned to perfection) -fried pita Delicious: -Lemon potatoes -Pea Latheros (a sleeper on the menu but was a really tasty side. Lick the bowl good!) -Taramasalata spread -whipped feta spread (you can’t go wrong) Good, not great: -Beets & Feta salad -Santorini Favas spread -Dover sole (I thought it was delicious but others said it was just okay) Highly over rated: -baklava fro-yo (way too sour and not balanced)

I’ve been wanting to check out Andros Taverna for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. They serve delicious Greek food in Logan Square. We arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation and sat at the bar for happy hour. The happy hour drinks and oysters were great, but the service was painfully slow. At one point, a bartender ignored us to serve a group that arrived after us, which felt odd. That said, they still honored the happy hour pricing. Once we were seated, the food was excellent and really stood out. Unfortunately, our waitress was condescending, cold, and difficult to find, which was disappointing. For me, service is a big part of the dining experience, and it definitely impacted the night. The food and atmosphere are excellent, but it’s unfortunate how much a rude server can detract from an otherwise great experience.

Leaving them with a three because even though the Kefte Kebabs were overcooked (charred) and the pita bread was cold when it arrived, the mashed potatoes spread with the Octopus was decent. It’s evident that they cater more to folks that are dining in vs. delivery or take out. If you want my five stars, you can “earn it” by making it right. Deliver me some fresh hot food! vs. a response instructing me to contact someone. I ordered off of Uber eats delivered to Shaan on Marine Drive.

I've driven by this place so many times and have always been so impressed by how crowded it gets during dinner time. We enjoyed their Italian sister restaurant next door for our Valentine's date that my wife and I decided to give them a try. We arrived for a week day late lunch and were immediately seated outside so we could enjoy the meal with our dog. QR codes on the tables, to help the planet and ease ordering. We came hungry, but due to most of their prices being in the 20s I we ordered two different appetizers to share and an entree to split. The calamari was the most disappointing to me. For the price over 20 I would have expected more in number, but it only consisted of a small series of baby octopus. It was a bit too salty for me as well. The roasted eggplant with an add-on of pita was a bit more suited for my pallet. Crispy vegetables are the set pairing, but I recommend adding on the pita as it was perfectly fluffy, warm, and a good hint of garlic. The vegetable pairing seemed a bit small for the roasted eggplant. Unfortunately the gyro was a let down as well. We were told it comes with fries, "it's under". So we didn't order a side of fries. We were greeted with a pleasantly appearing gyro in a wrap but the fries were probably 4-5 thick cut placed between the meat and the pita. It all felt under seasoned, dry or mostly overcooked pieces, and overall failing to satisfy a gyro crave. Unfortunately no picture of this one because we were so hungry at this point we just jumped in. If our server were to come back check to see if our meal was okay I'd probably let them know, but we were mostly left alone outside as we were the only ones out there in front. Parking is tough, mostly paid street or paid valet. Reservations would probably be a good idea for dinner dates. Outdoor seating during warmer weathers so it is per friendly. I feel as if the pricing vs food quantity and quality is off here so we probably won't be going back, but give them a try. Maybe you'll have a better experience.

The seasonal watermelon salad was just slices of feta, avocado and tomatoes put on top of some watermelon with some dill. I liked the combination but it should have come with some pita. I was disappointed by the portion size of the eggplant moussaka. It should have come with a side. However my wife enjoyed the grilled sardines. The pale ale was on the expensive side at $10. The dining room was very noisy to the point it's hard to have a conversation. The windows could have benefited from shades as we had to move twice to be out of the sun. Lastly they serve lukewarm water. Why not offer ice on demand? The wait staff was pleasant.

Went during restaurant week, and while the food is pretty good. It took almost 3 hours to get the full four courses and that is not acceptable. Ever. The server and manager were very nice and apologetic about it. The manager said they were backed up with to-go orders which I understand but 3 hours is still way too long. We ended up getting comped on some of our bill but I don’t think I will come back.

I came to Andros Taverna for the first time and it was ok. The lamb was under seasoned and the portion was small. The garlic lemon chicken and Greek rice was passable, and the potatoes were very good. But the service there was amazing, Dave was very professional and friendly at Andros. He definitely made sure my first time was enjoyable, he's service was incredible. Katlyn the manager was the first to convince me to try it, and I appreciate her for giving me a new restaurant to try.

Meh, just meh overpriced food. Greek food is one of my favorites. The menu of this place is exceptionally limited with some spreads, seafood, lamb and gyros and a couple other things. Not necessarily bad just know before you go. The lamb specials they had were all sold out by 6pm on a friday so clearly theyre not great at managing their inventory which means you cant rely on the specials. The lamb neck we got was nice but nothing to write home about. The moussaka was an atrocious abysmal mess. The spreads were nice but basic. Service was decent, but overall this is a very very corporate basic pricey place with mid food. Very overhyped like many things these days. I was fine with the meal but i wouldn’t return and certainly wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out. I know ashley and chad from naperville will disagree, but take it from someone who has spent a few months in greece…

R
Robert Thomas

Took forever to have someone come to speak with us at the table. Eventually the manager came and took our drink order which then 10 minutes later they came with the bottle of wine we ordered. She did not specify (the manager) that the mezzes were already selected with the bottle of wine. Poor communication on their part because we would have not done the mezze monday special if all mezzes were going to be some type of seafood and no meat. Server took forever to come to us. Food wasn’t phenomenal and overall the experience was mediocre. Tomatoes on the “welcome dish” also looked disgusting.
