The VIEW is breathtaking! I had reservations for Sunday brunch. We arrived several minutes before our reservation. But still waited for a while to be seated outside. It was worth the wait. The service was amazing from the hostess greeted us. The food was really good. I had the avocado toast and my friend had the Americana. Again the VIEW is amazing! I highly recommend having a reservation. Also, the restaurant is located on the 16th floor in Trump International Hotel.
Wife and I came for our anniversary. Got the best seat out on the terrace looking perfectly down the river! First time in Chicago and this place was amazing! Food was delicious!
Let's begin with the staff, they were all very attentive, personable and friendly. Service only received 3 stars due to what appeared to be a lack of wait staff. Everyone we encountered was great, just too much time between visits to the table. Moving on to the ambiance and atmosphere... Stunning with beautiful views of the Chicago River, London Hotel, Wrigley building and more. The interior is beautiful with comfortable seating. The food was excellent 👌. We had appetizers and shared an entree. Everything was flavorful, tasty, and presented beautifully. I look forward to visiting again. Especially for the S'mores.
It was an amazing experience so far. Our breakfast was excellent, and our service always checked on us to make sure everything was perfect. He told me his name but I forgot. It started with the M and seemed like he was the only service during breakfast hours because our breakfast reservation was 7:15am and later on like 8:40am and yeah I only see him take care of other tables as well. My sister got the buttermilk package, and I got the traditional eggs Benedict and cafe latte. I love how my meal was made, those yolks eggs. Delicious 😋. Since we wanted to enjoy the views, however the door won't open until 9am so we stayed a little later. Once the balcony opened, we went outside to see the view, and it was fantastic.
The service is wonder! Carlos and Oscar were amazing servers. Food and drinks were amazing. My fiance and I came here for our anniversary and had a great time. The view is gorgeous. Definitely come here for a special day or anniversary. Even the view in the parking lot was nice lol
Terrace 16 offered an amazing view of the Chicago River and Lake Michigan; and although the terrace was closed to dining and drinking due to high winds, the indoor seating was lovely as well. The service was timely, but not rushed, and the staff was attentive to our needs. The food was cooked exquisitely with a vast array of flavors that exploded in your mouth with each bite. I personally cannot wait to go again!
Review of the place itself. Dislike the person the building is named after. With that out of the way. Terrace 16 is really cool. Incredible views. We only had drinks there. Staff was very nice. Prices weren't any higher than similar places in Chicago. The views are great. The pictures don't do it justice.
Extraordinary views! Restaurant and bar with high ceilings and a terrace with almost 360* views . They are others around but is nothing like Terrace 16 when it comes to views and space . The food is good and they are sufficient options to choose. Of that menu you should definitely try " mici"
The food and atmosphere were absolutely AMAZING! I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she loved it. The food and view were awesome. Great night. Great experience.
My girlfriend and I went here for my birthday and had brunch. If you ordered a entree it included bottomless mimosas and bloody Mary’s. So of course that’s what we did!! The bloody’s were pretty good, not as good as the wicked hop in Milwaukee but pretty good. We were seated at the window inside for brunch and after we ate walked out on the terrace to check out the view. The views were amazing and the terrace is very big probably the biggest rooftop in the city. It wraps around half the building. It has plenty of seats with high tables along the edge and sofas and loveseats with fire pits in the middle. Our server Maria was great! She was very nice and actually made our bloody’s too!! We will definitely be back!
Breathtaking views!!! Trump tower is absolutely gorgeous!! We ordered the seafood tower, tuna tartare, ceviche, and more!! Everything was delicious! Morgan was amazing and made sure we were well taken care of! Loved everything we will be back very soon!
Views were amazing. Like top patio view in Chicago. The seafood tower, steak and vegetables were all amazing. It was getting super cold on the patio and the doorman went all the way to Nordstrom to buy us sweatshirts. Superior service.
Great view, especially at night, quite enough place to carry a conversation in a normal tone of voice. Cesar salad with salmon is good, as the most of other things on the menu, but what really sets this place apart are their drinks. Wins selection is great and cocktails are unique. This place is also great for business meetings during daytime .
We came for drinks on a Tuesday night and were welcomed by the best host Maurise! The atmosphere guides you to relax and spend your time here savoring every moment. It's a must visit place when in Chicago!
We had three wonderful breakfasts with awesome views at the Terrace. Best Eggs Benedict! We enjoy to start every morning with good French pastries, croissant and chocolate croissant....and those light well cooked eggs benedict! The fine jams made in Austria were so fruity and well balanced in sugar. Special Thanks to Marcos our professional and friendly waiter who always taking excellent care us and our orders.
Arguably the best view of the Chicago River and surrounding architecture you will find anywhere in the city. The menu is fairly expensive and the service is decent, but the view makes it all worth it. Highly recommend checking out Terrace 16.
It is impeccable!!! Arrays with wine, Trump's Tower- Terrace 16 welcomes you to a matchless exquisite dine!- the mouthwatering red snapper to die for!! just one of the few! ... Awed by it's artistic flow combines the mystical view of Chicago's skyline and it's exotic huge Michigan Lake belting around the world's well known Windy City!
First off my banana bourbon drink was well worth the $19 and was delicious. The food was good even the starter bread rolls. Great views of the lake down the river and spacious rooftop. One suggestion is to add some led candles to the tables as 8pm was too dark to see the menu.
Amazing view, terrific menu, enjoyable ambient. All in this restaurant is fantastic and I had an unforgettable good experience with my family.
Tuna rolls, black squid pasta with bronzino was very good but dessert we ordered needs improvement for sure. Overall great experience, amazing river view and very much recommend.
This place has such a beautiful view with even better food. I enjoyed the organic airline chicken. This spot is best for a date night or intimate setting with friends. I suggest high end attire, but the vibe is very relaxed.
Had an amazing Lunch at Terrace 16. The view from this rooftop is amazing. The service, food and drinks were amazing. Would 100% recommend and definitely come back. And you should reserve a table days before the D-day.
Great atmosphere, and views at the terrace. Upscale service. Great choice for business dining
Best rooftop bar in Chicago in my opinion. Great views from any seat. Cocktails are highly sophisticated and are unique. Service is great.
The service is good their food quality was awesome and the view is fantastic Very friendly and professional employees as well Just be aware that since they are part of the Hotel it will be an extra F&B service fee to your bill but every thing is worth it.
Took my kids here for dinner early July 2020. The waitress was so friendly and helpful. The food was awsome. My son got the King crab legs he wanted and loved them! The manager actually took us outside so we could take pictures and he took our pictures for us. Such an elegant setting. Beautiful place and everyone was abiding by the Covid rules. We actually saw a celebrity from RHONY there! That was exciting. Absolutley the best view of the river. Maybe even better than the London house. We cannot wait to come back.
Great place located at trump tower. Great service. We had drinks and a few appetizers. The new of course is the best!
Had brunch here while in Chicago. This was one of the best omelets I have ever had. Lobster, spinach and tomatoes were cooked perfectly in the omelet. The fingerling potatoes cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Definitely would eat there again when in Chicago.
Gorgeous views, high quality service and phenomenal flavors. The Trump Tower delivers when it comes to quality and opulence. Whether you are a resident or a visitor of Chicago this iconic rooftop is a must for idyllic views and a luxurious atmosphere.
We had a drink at the Trump Terrace 16 and had a great time! The pictures I have attached give you an idea of the view from the 16th floor.
Great bar with a good stock and fantastic views. The food was great too- took my clients and team there for drinks last week and really enjoyed my time!
Came here expecting very little but I’ve been very impressed, the cocktails are delicious, the brussel sprouts good maybe a little heavy on the mustard sauce and the seafood tower absolutely delicious. Service was outstanding!
Very nice! The food is good. The prices are NOT over the top. But, don’t come here without a reservation; you’ll feel undermined
It's advisable to have a reservation, as it is a good place to go and you might want to secure a spot.
The view is amazing. We were lucky to catch fireworks too. The food and drinks were very good. The service was very slow and it was a long wait between each plate. We found a park garage right across from the building. The dress code is more dressy, perfect to take cute pictures ☺️
Terrace 16th at Trump Tower offers a dining experience that truly lives up to its name - it's a soaring culinary adventure on the 16th floor. From the moment you step into this opulent space, you're greeted with elegance and a panoramic view that takes your breath away. The ambiance is nothing short of spectacular. The combination of modern design elements and classic touches creates an atmosphere that's both refined and inviting. Whether you're here for a special occasion or a casual meal, Terrace 16th strikes a perfect balance between sophistication and comfort. The menu is a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. Each dish is meticulously crafted, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The seafood options are particularly noteworthy, with the freshness of the ingredients shining through. The wine selection is extensive, ensuring there's a perfect pairing for every palate. The service at Terrace 16th is impeccable. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, and they're well-versed in the menu, offering knowledgeable recommendations. Whether you're a seasoned food enthusiast or new to fine dining, you'll feel welcomed and well taken care of. One of the standout features of Terrace 16th is, of course, the view. The floor-to-ceiling windows provide a breathtaking panorama of the cityscape, offering a picturesque backdrop to your dining experience. It's the kind of setting that elevates any meal into a memorable event. While the prices reflect the luxurious setting, Terrace 16th delivers an experience that justifies every penny. This is a place to indulge, to celebrate, and to savor every moment. The drinks, while decent, didn't quite match the exceptional standard set by the rest of the experience. The classic bourbon drink, particularly the Old Fashioned, left something to be desired. As for the appetizers, they were a strong start, with most impressing the palate. However, the mushroom dish fell short, lacking the distinctive taste one would expect. Whether you're a local looking for an extraordinary night out or a visitor seeking a taste of Chicago's finest, Terrace 16th at Trump Tower is an absolute must-visit.
The setting was perfect, and the night was wonderful. The wait time was short, close to my appointment. The service was as good as I expected. However, at my table, people kept walking by and even placed their drinks on it. They shared the space with me, even after I tell them not to. They just ignored it off and continued enjoying their evening, being overly friendly, lol. They moved after they got an empty table. Thank! The spot was ideal for my partner and me to relax, but people kept walking and stopping right in front of us to take in the view, making it feel like we were at a food court. Honestly, it doesn't seem necessary to book a table. Just grab a drink and walk around.
I was so satisfied. Thank you so much for that experience. My first time here. Food was amazing - i had new York steak. Staf was friendly and kind but first he can serve woman, ask woman what she want first....
Amazing view, great drinks, and server was nice. What I had (lobster roll) was okay, but my friends liked their food so need to try this place again!
Only marked down because a glass and a fork were dirty, otherwise an amazing place to dine. We only had coffee and a pear tart to share, but both were excellent. The staff fell over themselves to apologise for the dirty glassware and cutlery, and offered our pear tart as complimentary, great service- thanks. They also addressed me, very politely, by my surname (provided on entry) using Mr. (I didn't have the heart to tell them it was actually Dr. - given how polite they were trying to be...). Good dinner menu although not too extensive on choice, quite pricey too, but I'm sure the food quality would be top notch. Recommended.
Veggies could have had more flavors Pasta was great Complementary dessert was toooo sweet/sugary. The views are great but wasn't open for dining given the temperature (check before going their for the views as the food is nothing extraordinary for the price)
I wanted to go to this bar to get a good cocktail with an amazing view of Chicago, and my visit did not disappoint! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the views from the terrace are stunning! I ordered the Violet cocktail and though it was quite good, I have paid less money for a better cocktail. The prices are very high, but the experience and the views made it all well worth it. I would definitely come back again!
Beautiful views, good service, decent food but not worth the cost. You pay for the views not the food quality.
I gave it 4 stars because due to weather (not their fault) we had to eat inside. We were seated for our anniversary dinner by a VERY VERY loud party. It took away from our experience. The whole restaurant was rather loud but the plan was to eat outside. My burger was raw and had to reorder (can't stomach that much pink) took so long my husband was done with his dinner for 20 mins. The 2nd time it came out it was exactly the same as the first. Waitress didn't even have it in her to pretend to care. Hardly saw her. However....manager was brought into the story and he made it right. We had to leave at this point to go back to our room so he had the burger remade and personally brought it to my room. I ate in my room alone while my husband rushed off to the light show I missed though because of the food mishap. Manager also took care of the bill (not expected at all). Overall loud, I'm sure outside would have been much better and the food really was AWESOME in the end. Ambiance was nice with all the windows and decor. Because of the manager, we'll give this place a 2nd chance for sure (as long as it's outside).
Went during the week and it wasn't very crowded - has some great views of the city!
Super view but the food and especially deserts looked awful. and drinks wasn’t great for 16 dollars. Not Recommend somehow , the only can be for a view. Parking for customers for 20 usd is also not working.
Weiter was very attentive and with a lot of knowledge about drinks and food. Be aware that the gratuity will be added to your check even if there is 2 people. Good portions
Yes, the views are the most espectacular I've seen in this city. BUT, staying at Trump Tower Hotel, I was expecting something good enough, at least for its restaurant. $30 for this breakfast dish is a shame.
Very pricey for not good food. Tuna poke was the worst I’ve ever tried. Avocado had blackish color, less than 5 grams of tuna, and undercooked rice. Drink wasn’t great either. Ice cream was served nice, and the view was beautiful.
I can’t put an higher rating on this experience because as our group showed up to enjoy the most recommended terrace in Chicago (we were visiting and had proper attire for dress code) they basically told us to leave. Plenty of space but none for us. No particular reason, just that they couldn’t serve us…
