Fresh food and good service. I had the Butter Chicken, a curry dish, an alcohol free drink and ice cream for dessert. Don't miss the dessert as they are always good.

Went here for a quick cocktail. The list is pretty good and extensive. The waitress was amazing at explaining the drinks. The view over the river was amazing at night. Good seating and they served corn nuts and peanuts for a small snack. Would go back again.

Came here for a drinks with my partner and really enjoyed the ambience! I always adore Langham hotels but didn’t stay here on this occasion however the drinks were excellent! Really unique flavours and the ice cream was to die for! Would recommend

Located inside the Langham hotel, Travelle at the Langham is perfect lounge space for a small get together or a date night. My girlfriend and I visited the lounge this past weekend after a Juneteenth celebration. Our family & friends had a great time here. All of the bites we ordered were delicious. I recommend getting the sliders, skeleton key cocktail, calamari and the shrimp pasta. The waiters are very attentive and we appreciated that. We’re looking forward to spending more time at the lounge soon.

Hidden gem on the 2nd floor at the Langham hotel. It is very comfortable and easy to have a conversation. Nice views of the river. The drinks were excellent! The pepperoni flatbread was solid. Fantastic service.

We had a wonderful breakfast at Travelle in the Langham Hotel, located on the second floor of a high-rise. The service was elegant, the space sublime, and the food delicious. While Travelle isn't cheap, you get what you pay for. It is the epitome of a five-star experience.

Awesome bar located inside The Langham hotel. This place is beautiful and has a very clean, elegant and upscale feel to it. I like that it is never very busy here and I’m always able to find a place to sit and enjoy my Paloma. They give you corn nuts and sweet peanuts to nibble on. This place is perfect for a date night or a drink with friends.

Amazing food and date spot with a calm and romantic atmosphere. Chef Vucko’s update menu is a treat for your taste buds with farm to table produce and proteins. Get a table by the kitchen if possible to see everyone in action.

During our Easter holiday, my wife, son, and I visited Travelle in Chicago to enjoy their exquisite breakfast. The restaurant's elegant ambiance and excellent food quality left us with a lasting impression. The staff were attentive and friendly, making us feel right at home. The breakfast menu had a wide selection of options, each dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I particularly enjoyed the poached eggs with avocado toast and the perfectly brewed coffee. Overall, our experience at Travelle was wonderful and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago.

Excellent! Well-run establishment deserving of a 5-star rating at a 5-star hotel. Good food, nice environment, and great service. Works wonderfully with the Langham in Chicago.

We love the restaurant. Service A+ Jennifer did an amazing job. Hostess always welcoming us to comback. 3 days (3 Breakfast) in 6 days visiting Chicago. Now talking about food. Very flavorful, presentation nice (they curated any detail). Travelle Benedicts Eggs with Lobster delicious (i did twice) Chilquiles super good & Bruschetta Eggs very tasty. Next time in Chicago we will stay at the langham.

We ordered the pastrami smoked salmon , Travelle Benedict and the hanger steak. The Benedict is absolutely gorgeous and I especially love the muffin after dipped with the hollandaise sauce. The pastrami is a little salty but overall acceptable. The hanger steak is pretty good. They came with delicious truffles mash! But the steak turned bitter later after it got a little cold.

I love this place. Pretty much every friend who visits I suggest meeting here for drinks or dinner. Beautiful city views and excellent food. One of the best burgers in the city

Had a great experience at Travelle in The Langham Chicago. The atmosphere was fantastic with a really nice mood setting ambiance that made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. I ordered the chicken wings and truffle fries, and both were very good. The chicken wings in particular stood out, genuinely some of the best I’ve had! Service was equally impressive. The staff were warm, attentive, and very friendly throughout. Highly recommend for both the food and the overall vibe.

Beautiful view and calm atmosphere for breakfast. The matcha latte was delicious and perfectly made — smooth and not too sweet. Service was attentive, and the space feels bright and peaceful in the morning. A great spot to start the day.

Incredible experience. Came in for drinks and small bites with friends and had a wonderful time. Food was fresh, decadent, and well portioned. Our service was quick and our waiter, Manny, was very nice and friendly! I will definitely be coming back!

We recently had a weekend trip to Chicago and we stayed at The Langham. Travelle is the restaurant + bar inside of the hotel and it is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel! It’s a beautiful restaurant with an exceptional bar area. We went at nighttime both nights and the ambience is perfect. It’s dimly lit with an upscale vibe. The drinks are all super good! You can’t go wrong with any of the choices. The buffalo chicken wings are DELICIOUS! They are a must get item. The oysters that came with my drink were 💯💯💯 as well. The drinks are definitely hand crafted and unique! Super yummy. 10/10 recommend this bar even if you aren’t staying at The Langham!

Great atmosphere, excellent service and enjoyable food. Everything we tried we liked, including the drinks (great coffee!). I would say the food is a bit pricey compared to some alternatives in the area, but was a great way to start the day while staying at the Langham.

Food is very tasty, and the waiters are extremely attentive. Pleasant ambiance. I’ll just say the portions are absolutely massive especially for a high-end restaurant so take than into account when ordering. 2-3 people could easily share an appetizer and an entree.

Phenomenal dining experience with great drinks. The service was first class. For an app we got the scallops and for the meal we got the short rib and venison. The tenderness of the rib was great, but the presentation of the version was incredible. For dessert, the home spun ice cream hit the spot. Overall, this is a great place to celebrate a special occasion.

I came here for dinner with a large group from work. The food was excellent in all aspects from the appetizers, to the main course as well as dessert. We had pan fried octopus as a appetizer which was wonderful. It was all a very elegant and enjoyable evening.

The place is amazing! I had the gazpacho soup, and it’s served in such a beautiful way there, and with some nuts in the soup, which seems to be a good combo! The coffee dessert is a masterpiece, and tastes so good, too! And, on top of this, the view! Just check it out on my pictures.

My wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday evening while downtown for some business. She had been raving about this place for some time now and that I absolutely needed to try it. Our evening started off a little crazy with a few chewing gum mishaps and had to move a few tables. It was a little unsetting but the manner of how the manger took care of us after was fantastic (didn’t catch his name – French gentleman wonderful attitude). I must say my wife was indeed right… this place is phenomenal. I enjoyed every bite and we will most definitely return.

Service and drinks were amazing. I honestly preferred this over the trump hotel terrace (it’s just across the street)

This place is very classy and cool. The atmosphere was clean and sophisticated. The server was attentive and took great care of us. You can sit and enjoy a beautiful view of Chicago while sipping on some very creative drinks. Definitely a place to visit while in the Windy City.

I came here for breakfast on new years day and i'm so glad that I did! The wagyu short rib hash was exactly what I was looking for, the soup and carpaccio were perfect appetizers, and the desserts were so delectable! You can tell that they use quality ingredients. The location is also great as I could walk here easily from my hotel downtown. The langham is such a beautiful property so truly it fits in perfectly!

We tend to dine out for two days in a row every other weekend and have tried approx. 150 restaurants in Chicago over the last 10 years. This was our 8th time dining at Travelle over the past 4 to 5 years, usually for dinner. We were a little surprised to find the restaurant quiet on a Friday evening (they are usually crowded on a weekend). Moreover, their menu was limited. However, the food and drink did not disappoint. We had the beet salad--beets prepared 7 ways, the wayghru beef tartare--chilled but each bite was excellent, the miso cod, and one the best long island duck that I have had. We finished off with their "Expresso" dessert--which was heavenly. Note: the portions are on the smaller side but filling none the less. This restaurant is an example of quality over quantity, gourmet over gourmand, excellence over mediocrity. The ambiance was great and the servers took time to explain the dishes and were very attentive. Will return again (sooner the next time).

Nice view of the River. Solid bar service and excellent wine choices. Loved the salty crunchy free bar snax. Cozy place when it’s not crowded.

You'd be crazy not to stop in here for food and drinks, especially if you're staying at the hotel. I got breakfast here twice and stopped in at the bar for drinks one afternoon - really enjoyed all three occasions. The interior decor and atmosphere is great - upscale but not pretentious. Really would like to try dinner here next time I'm in town, based on how well prepared and plated everything was at breakfast. The bar makes some *great* cocktails, really good with some unique presentation and glassware. Fairly respectable whiskey list too. Overall a really good experience.

Great date night dinner. Service was excellent and being able to see the chef through the glass kitchen was a neat experience. Food were delicious and the steak was one of the best that I've had. Highly recommend!

We spontaneously came here for drinks and snacks and celebrate a bday. We were blown away by the service and ambiance. Josef took care of us and made sure we were taken care of. He took the decision to decide our desserts and he did not disappoint! If you are lucky to have Josef take care of you, let him order for you. Will not be disappointed.

Travelle Restaurant at the Langham is a true diamond of a hidden gem! It’s inside the AMA (American Medical Association) building on the Langham Hotel side. It’s never busy and I still can’t figure that one out because the food, ambience and service is always 10 stars! It’s beautifully decorated inside and one of the best top drawer lesser known dining places in Chicago. Service is impeccable, pristinely clean and menu choices are an epicureans’ delight! We had the Gem Salad with carved roasted chicken. Meals here never disappoints us! The tantalizing champagne dressing creation was actually a jelly in the salad that when served, slowly dissolves into the salad which gives a unique and wonderful flavor without the greens wilting! Delicious fresh blackberries coupled with candied walnuts gave a nice tart and sweet balance to the salad. A beautiful creation. I truly enjoy coming here for a quiet meal time away from the noise whenever I get in the city. The menu changes periodically and always has unique and delicious creations.

Spent the weekend here and came to the bar twice, mostly for drinks. We lucked out in having bartender, Ryan, make our drinks each visit, in which he nailed every one. His talent and passion for his craft were evident in everything he served us, introducing us to new flavor combinations that were amazingly well-balanced and totally up our alleys. Very thankful to him and Bruce for taking such great care of us during our stay!

This place is amazing! Service is great! It’s also my name so of course I HAD to stop by! Truly enjoyed my time. The atmosphere is perfect! The view from the bar is the Chicago skyline which is so gorgeous! Definitely will return next time I’m in Chicago!

Manny was a delightful server during our after work drinks. So friendly, sweet, and accommodating.

We were 2 people and ordered 3 dishes, the sunchoke which was very nice. the wagyu tartar which was a disappointment first from the idea of coating what's suppose to be an amazing meat with so many ingredients instead of have a minimalistic dish to celebrate the meat. But also, all this sauce tasted a bit strange to me, and when tasting the meat itself under the sauce it was blend to my surprise. I tasted Japanese wagyu and this didn't seem to be it. I still give 4 stars because the staff were very responsive and because of the 3rd dish, the venison which I would come back for. The venison was a great piece of meat. Also the beets that accompanied it. We had to return it because it was extremally salty and when we got it back the chef decided to give us end cuts instead of middle, and this time zero salt, but the meat was so good that ok. Just next time, I'd ask them to please not have any blood sausage (which was a surprise gift) on the plate, and don't give me the end cuts please.

Pork chops and steak was delicious. For dessert I had the 24k chocolate flourless brownie

Sunday evening with plenty of available tables, yet the wait for drinks and food was a long one. The view compensated that and we were not in a rush. The food was very, fish was flaky and steak medium rare. Since we stayed at the hotel and didn’t want to leave the building, they do have good variety just be aware of the wait. PS Parmesan fries YES, burnt marshmallow dessert nope (too much burnt flavor)

R
Ryan

Calamari is really good. Must order but a little bit oily. The shrimp pasta is pretty good, the seared halibut is decent but the couscous (?) I think kinda smell. The warm chocolate cake is decent. But its kinda cold and taste like cheap chocolate cake. But the crumble and the ice cream is good.s

Curry Crispy Chicken Sandwich was pretty good. Atmosphere was great although a little loud

F

Lovely cheery ambiance. Certainly on the expensive side but excellent food. The lobster sandwich for lunch was nicely stuffed with lobster. It was soft and sweet and the sauce went very well with it as did the truffles French fries. (Note to the chef … ease up on the salt … ruined the fries and had to get a fresh order with less salt.) The veggie bean burger was on point with a thick patty and a nice layer of mashed avocado and topped with creamed corn served with French fries. The service was good but a more cheerful server would have made it excellent. About $100 for two.

Well made cocktails. Sat at the bar and had a good service. There is a fantastic view. Overall nothing out of the ordinary.

Came back here for Chicago Restaurant Week and it was a bit disappointing. Imo, the food selected for CRW wasn't really anything special. The concept of the chicken (entree) was a bit odd. Salmon was dry but I liked the guanciale and lobster broth. The dessert was a glorified snickers bar and it was too sweet and heavy. Service was really really slow (I think the kitchen may have been understaffed) but staff were all friendly.

A
ARI K PRODUCTION (Arian Khoroushi)

Such a fancy restaurant, but I would have expected better taste, quality and better food choices. The design and decorations of this restaurant was fantastic and beautiful. I only wished their floor level was in upper level to get the view of Chicago. Our server was really polite and patient, and we appreciate all the staff’s manner & behaviour.

So the ambience is nice, service & waitresses were excellent but for the price of food per location was average. Not to say it wasn’t good, but expected more & got less. Brunch menu is limited & any changes are additional charges, petty. Ordered Chicken/Waffles and chicken was dry w/ no real seasoning. My friend got same with slight modifications. Waffles were great but shouldn’t have been the best thing I ordered. Asked for a modified omelette (not on menu??) and charged extra. Even though it wasn’t bad, I don’t understand why a brunch wouldn’t have more egg choices. Overall the service is top notch but kitchen & menu needs to catch up. I don’t mind cost if it has value. If I don’t get that, this is the review it prompts.

This is our 2nd night dinner here in travelle. The foods is nice. The atmosphere is okey But promise... The service was very very slow. Me and my boss already fall asleep while waiting for our main course.

S

For such a nice hotel, Travelle was the one area that was negative about our stay. Both dinner and breakfast foods were just okay and a bit disappointing. The service at breakfast was really bad. The wait staff needs a lot of training. We also found one of the waiters at breakfast to be apathetic and rude. Travelle is the reason we're going to choose another hotel for our next stay in the city.

We love this spot and have been here numerous times. We live just a little north of the Langham so we aren’t strangers and are locals. A month ago we were here and hung out for a few drinks and apps. The waitress (im sorry i forget her name) was absolutely amazing! Last night was a different story. My wife and I were walking around michigan avenue playing tourists. We stopped in to one of our favorite spots for a snack and a beverage. There was a wedding or event of some kind going on in the hotel. We were some of the only people at the bar who weren’t in tuxes and evening gowns. We sat down and were totally ignored by the bartender. Once we got his attention and ordered he couldn’t have been more bothered by us. We got our drinks. When out app came out we werent given plates, silverware or napkins. We were 3/4’s through our app before the bartender came over to check on us. I asked for napkins and plates and he said that they werent served with our particular appetizer. I asked for linen napkins as opposed to bar naps. He rolled his eyes and tossed us a couple of napkins. I asked for mayo for our app and he said “we have aioli” having been here before i asked for regular mayo. Again another huge eye roll and huff. Never saw him again. Never asked how we were doing, never asked about drink refills never even brought the waters we’d asked for. Yes we got drinks. Meanwhile the people down the bar from us on both sides, in suits and gowns were waited on like royalty. Apps served with silverware and plates, waters continually topped off and numerous glasses of champagne. The ONLY time this “bartender” was attentive was when we asked for our check. He couldn’t have been bothered the entire time we were there but when i asked for our check he stopped EVERYTHING he was doing to bring us our check immediately. He then stood there and waited for our card. He clearly couldn’t wait for us to leave. Im a local and have 30yrs in the industry. Ive ran nicer restaurants than this “bartender” has ever been in. Yet we were treated like trash because i was wearing a ling sleeve tshirt from a bar in wisconsin. Thats bullshit. This is a great rest/bar but if you get the balding “bartender” with the tiny ponytail… which is just comical… avoid him at all costs… order from anyone else. He is a joke, comical even… maybe at a trash bowling alley or something but not NOT at the Lanham.
