It's better than the other comparable options in the area. Consistently pretty great. I drive by a few places just to get to this one.

Been going here since I was a kid and it's still one of my favorite places to get Chinese take out. Never had a problem here before. The crab ragoon is my favorite.

Very fast service, the food was delicious and hot, and the portions were large! Had leftovers for lunch the next day and still tasty! Probably the best fast Chinese food in Albany I've had.

Best in the area. I ate there the first day they opened back in 1986. Same owner, same great food. Always fresh and consistently flavorful. I drive from Clifton park to eat there as often as I can.

Have been going to this place for over 22 yrs now! When I first moved to guilderland as a kid, till now living all the way out in Clifton Park. I will say the competition has gotten stronger sense moving, however I will still drive 25 min out of my way and pass a multitude of other Chinese spots to come here. Owners / staff very friendly, orders are fresh and always on time. To anyone reading this, I highly recommend to stop at the Wok and give them a try. Chicken with broccoli in garlic sauce is one of my favorite go to’s - jus throwin that out there

Ignore the analogies. This place is great. Definitely worth the cash and time. They hook you up with free soda when you spend enough which they don't have to do but they do it anyway. I like this place a lot - cheap, fast, good food.

Excelent spicy tofu and a huge serving that could feed 3 people. For under $11 I am very satisfied. A literal 'hole in the wall' of a shopping center. Im glad I went in.

Amazing..eat here often as it is close to work! Not a fan of the Chicken and Broccoli but the Beef is good and so is the S&S Chicken.. Food is fast, hot and fresh...

I have been going there since the 90's. At one point construction was being done on the building and I thought they had moved or closed and I I almost had a fit. I watched the little girl in there grow up to an adult, she would help with the orders. Consistently great food and service. Huge menu, though I only get 2 or 3 of the same things all of the time. Love that big huge beautiful glass picture of Hong Kong hanging in there. Love it!

Good quality food. Always. We have gone here over the years dozens of times and the food is fresh every single time. They have good quality and at one time I saw them hand rolling egg rolls. Giant chuck of pork in the fried rice and the egg rolls are always on point. Check it out for sure if you haven't already. Worth the extra drive from wherever you live.

I do really enjoy their egg rolls at the place. Food is always good and it's very close by, sometimes messes up the order but the food is always good either way. I recommend going there if you live by this area.

We like this place…food is consistently good and ready when they say every time. Hubby reports excellent Lo Mein and my boneless ribs were mostly tasty and succulent. All the basics are better than our 2 more local take outs

I was excited from reading the reviews to give it a try as our go-to is closed on Monday’s & of course I always am craving fast Chinese food on Monday’s, naturally. Unfortunately, was not as good as I was hoping for. Very greasy and wasn’t a fan of the rice. Not sure I’d order again…

No complaints!!! My food tasted very fresh and flavorful. Wait was not long at all and the price was reasonable as well. There were equal parts meat and rice in the combination platter. Sorry for no photo, I was too hungry lol! Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because I’m saving my 5 star rating for something out of this world. I will be back here for sure.

R

I ordered a chicken with broccoli combo platter and Pekin Rolls. The combo platter tasted good but the rice to meat ratio was rice heavy. Included egg roll was decent. The Pekin Rolls were delicious and I would return just based on those alone. Overall, one of the better experiences I’ve had since relocating upstate.

A favorite take-out spot for Chinese-American food. It reminds us of the old Jack's Chinese on Central Ave in it's heyday. Now, most other take-out spots have an orange mush which passes for fried rice. The fried rice at King Wok still uses old-time ingredients which makes it tasty.

I’ve been taking out food from the King’s Wok for over ten years and for the most part the food has always been good. Recently my daughter came up from Brooklyn for a short visit and when dinner time came around she suggested Chinese food. We looked at each other and almost yelled out the Wok. My mouth began watering in anticipation as I haven’t been able to get there for awhile. Medical problems have forced me into a power wheelchair and because they don’t deliver I’ve been unable to get there. My daughter returned with two plastic bags filled to the rim with some of our favorite dishes. We quickly had the food on plates and we sat down to what we thought was going to be a great dinner. Unfortunately we were quickly disappointed. The Wok’s egg rolls have always been my favorite out of their extensive menu. Imagine my surprise when after removing them from the waxed bags I discovered them to be about half the size I remembered them to be. I thought my daughter must have ordered spring rolls by mistake. Because she footed the bill I was politely just going to eat them with not mentioning my disappointment. The second surprise was when I bit into them. The once overstuffed roll was not only smaller but pretty tasteless. Just before mentioning my dissatisfaction with the egg rolls she told me how disappointed she was as well. She said that there was an oily taste and after the first bite spit it out. Being hungry I finished the first one but put the second one aside. I’m sorry to say the rest of the food wasn’t any better. My Pork with garlic was tasteless and the small bits of meat were overdone and chewy. My daughters chicken dish was definitely spicy but it overtook the flavor of everything else in the dish. The biggest disappointment was the fried rice. We both love their fried rise because it isn’t drenched in soy sauce and the pork pieces are so pink and great flavored. Once again the food was tasteless and the small pink pork pieces replaced with pieces of I don’t know what. The rest of the food we ordered was also pretty bad but I’m not going over that as I think you understand what I’ve been saying. I told my daughter to return the uneaten remains but she’s kind of a timid person and avoids conflict when possible. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that the kitchen staff that night was inexperienced. I haven’t given up on the King’s Wok. As I said, I’ve been taking food out of this restaurant for over ten years and this was the first time I was disappointed. I hope someone at the Wok reads this and looks into the situation.

The food was mediocre. it was a clean restaurant and the service was good but I got the general tsos combination plate and the food was not warm and it lacked flavor. Everything was all dried out and it was as if they gave me the food they made yesterday. I was not impressed

My food was terrible tonight. Asked for no onions and got more. The sweet and sour chicken was extremely overdone and the wonton soup tasted like water.

My boyfriend (George Durant) and I just had take out from there today and we were very dissapointed. The food did not taste fresh at all; this had a poor after taste. We have eaten there before and we thought things may be different but unfortunately this wasnt the case. Took the time to read some positive reviews and not sure what they were eating. I usually eat at Bamboo as their food is fresh and consistent but unfortunately they are closed on Sundays. You cant go wrong with eating at Bamboo, they are a family run business and very good.

When did Chicken Wings with pork fried rice start costing $8.35- specially for rice that’s rather lacking in taste...not worth the money! Do yourself a favor- go to China Fish Fry on Central Ave- pay half the price and enjoy really good Chinese food. I gave them a few chances and sadly- no thanks!

N
Nelly Vecchini

Haven’t been much in this place but, will say that out of the few times that I visited have had more wrong orders given than right ones. Always take out and when I get home unfortunately is not what you ordered. Forget about being compensated because they are not accommodating at all. Bad experience and service 000 stars here! They don’t even have the AC on, very hot inside.

I spent $14 on general tso’s and pork lo mein. Immediately upon opening the lo mein, I found a dark black hair. When I opened the chicken, it was dry and yet full of gristley fat. Both of those went straight in the garbage. I also had a tasteless wonton soup with soggy dumplings, followed by an oily tasteless eggroll. I’ve had bad Chinese food, but this was absolutely the worst I’ve ever had in my life. What a disappointment…

P
Patrick Shufelt

I had a $100 gift certificate. They would not honor it because they said the ownership changed a month after the certificate was purchased. Didn’t even offer anything (free soda perhaps) to go with the $26 meal I had purchased. Used to go out of my way to get food there, but new ownership doesn’t make the food as well as the old owners either. Won’t be going back again.

I grew up in NYC and have been eating Chinese food my entire life. A friend recommended this place for take out so I have it a shot and ordered chow fun. It was awful. It was extremely overcooked, very mushy and not edible. I called to complain to give them an opportunity to make it right and they said I need to call uber eats. Uber eats didn’t make this food?! If you like Chinese food, do not order from here. I will not be back. There are many better places in the capital region to get good Chinese food.

Food is EXTREMELY greasy. Hot &sour soup smelled like old urine. And looked as bad. You could see the grease on top. Lomein was burnt and no flavor. Took over 45 minutes to even get the food. Will stick to zhus kitchen.

Ordered the general tso's chicken, and I am not exaggerating when I say 90% of it was just fried breading and fat. Literally inedible. The flavor of the 3 pieces of actual meat was okay

King's Wok, Hamilton Square, Guilderland, has lost me as a customer for good. The quality of all the food has hit rock bottom. The last four items I purchased there have been consistently poor. I had noticed the color and taste of the soup broth was distinctly off. It just hasn't tasted right the last 3 times I bought it. Now I know why. I actually saw the staff person spoon broth out of my take out container and replace it with clear hot water. With the price increases, that is just outrageous. I pay for soup, not hot water. Also, any selection with vegetables is now 95-99% cooked onions, a cheap vegetable. Gone are the water chestnuts, most of the celery, and other components that added flavor, color, and taste appeal. Everything is oversalted now to apparently make up for the lack of flavor because of missing ingredients. The chow mein is not worth buying. Neither is the fried rice, the egg rolls, the mei fun, or the lo mein. I can boil onions myself. Open a can of LaChoy vegetables and you'll get a better selection. And everybody can cook rice. It is very disappointing, and I won't spend any more money at King's Wok.
